Jumbo Tours - Mallorca
Jumbo Tours - Mallorca Office at Palma De Mallorca airport easy to find. Coach easy to find in car park however driver spoke little English - not an issue until trying to work out which stop need to get off for the hotel. Company supposed to let hotel where staying know what pick up times for transport (end of holiday) back to airport. In our case never provided details. Called Jumbo Tours 9am morning of return (Flight 9:50pm evening). Unable to locate booking initially (despite having transferred us to hotel 7 days earlier), when finally located they confirmed collection outside hotel 5:30pm. 5:15pm waiting outside hotel - coach turns up 5:30 takes other passengers but wouldn't take me or family as name not on list & would not wait whilst called Jumbo Tours. When eventually got through to Jumbo Tours and they spoke to driver they initially advised that wasnt outside hotel when coach arrived - when that lie did not work they then advised no other transport in the area and I would have to make own way to airport !!! For info travel from S'illot to airport approx 90 Euro's (1 way). Can't blame the coach driver as he was only able to go by what information Jumbo Tours provided to his company. If you use this company and no info @ hotel day of departure if you call them insist they speak to the coach company whilst you are on the phone to confirm they have your details.
Absolutely terrible company. This was arranged through On the Beach travel agents. When we arrived at Palma airport and had collected our luggage, we went to the TMT desk as instructed. Our flight landed at 5pm and we waited til nearly 7pm to be taken the 1.5 hour journey to our hotel. The three people on the desk didn't want to help us and looked angrily at us when the three children we had in the group were getting hungry and hot which in turn made us all stressed. No explanation was given except they were waiting for the next flight to arrive. I was told that I wasn't supposed to have landed yet and there nay not be a place for me on the transfer bus to the hotel with my other group members. On the return to Palma airport a week later, we'd received a call to say pickup had changed from 2pm to 2.25pm. The bus turned up at 1.45pm and we weren't exactly ready. The driver then went to another hotel but no one came out to board the bus. We then picked up another group of three who said they'd been picked up nearly 2 hours too early The bus back to the airport was in an awful state of repair. We drove through a huge storm that day and loads of water was running in through the air vent on the roof and the seats were fixed down properly. We left a seat up for the driver who merely replaced it to its position and drove off. On the Beach have stated they're talking to TMT about our experiences but I doubt they are or that TMT will improve their quality
Absolutely shocking company. Booked a return transfer with them, arrived at palma and there was people who had been waiting 3 hours for a lift and my party of 6 were fobbed off for over an hour saying it will be 10 mins. It was well over an hour for a private transfer. We were abused, laughed at by the receptionist who has zero customer service skills. On our return we phoned the morning of departure and was told our transfer would pick us up at 19.05. 19.20 we phoned to be told there would be no van as it was broken. Again abuse down the phone and was told not there problem and to get a taxi. We got a taxi to the airport and went to the desk to which we were abused again and marched off by the man who runs it. We got our money back for the taxi but it was just a bad end to a fantastic holiday. Don't book any of this company's services they are horrible.
Arrived waited ages for a transfer, red haired girl behind counter was RUDE and basically laughed at us saying it wasn't her problem, bad customer service from all the employees. Then when we waited 30 minutes for our return transfer we rang them to see where they where to be told they didn't have a car for us, they didn't ring us to tell us though, said to get a taxi and the would refund us when we got to the airport, the red haired woman again laugh at us and the man who owns the company told us to go away. Avoid using this company.
TMT, booked in advance for private transfers to and from Palma Airport to our hotel in Playa de Palma via Booking.com proved itself to be utterly incompetent and unreliable. We were not met on arrival by a driver carrying a name board (it took 40 stressful minutes to finally get the TMT desk staff to get us in a car when we could have stepped outside the terminal and got a taxi immediately and a around half the price and the pickup from the hotel for the return journey didn’t happen as the driver was not at the hotel at the time booked or 25 minutes later and we had to ask the hotel to call us a taxi as we had no confidence that the taxi would actually arrive. They claimed the driver was stuck in heavy traffic - well, on our journey to the airport in the taxi, the traffic was running smoothly in both directions, so the truth is also something that TMT is unable to deliver alongside a half decent service. Do not ever make or accept a booking for a private transfer from Palma Airport if the service provider is using TMT as its local ground agent.
Booked return transfer with TMT-Trasmedtour (via Holiday Extras who have been great - refunded our transfers within 48 hours of arriving home!) PLEASE DO NOT USE TMT! Cancelled our return at last minute! Phoned 10 mins after we were due to get picked up. Told us to get taxi to airport & get a receipt! When we arrived in Palma & made our way to meet & greet the amount of people waiting for transfers (for up to 2 hours) was shocking! If you have a transfer booked with this company be persistent! We booked a private transfer & they wanted to send us to other end of the island with other people who had been waiting for 2 hours! We don’t mind sharing as long as going in same direction as we are! Would have taken up to 3 hours for a 25 minute journey.

booked transfers through easyjet . the information when downloaded stated these are called jumbo tours spain shuttle bus . am i gonna be waiting around for about an hour before setting off. it states 1.5 hours to resort. usually get private taxi but only 2 of us going so taxi out of question as too costly
It will depend on how many people are listed for the coach you could be first on and wait or you could be last on and leave immediately, it then depends on where your hotel is as to how many drops before you
You could be lucky and you might not it is pay your money and take your chance.
I once stayed at Melia hotel and was last drop off and was close to 3.5 hour transfer with waiting for some drunk person who got there suitcase of the carousel and then lost it 😂
Wife and I now always stump up 120 Euros for private transfer.
If I didn't and that happened again Wife wouldn't speak to me and I would be sleeping on the balcony with the Midgies 😂
possibly via the company resort care , some women at our bus stop was using them
yes theres a fair chance you will wait for the bus to fill up
i thought so . also used a shuttle bus years ago dropped my mother in law off at marina hotel and we were on the bus for another 45 mins just to go down the road to the helios . because I hadn't been to benidorm before was unsure. so staying at the sol pelicanos so as soon as near getting off with rest if we can
Very unlucky if you have a long wait at the airport. Waits are usually down to very selfish people who book a transfer coach then decide to travel by taxi. They do not bother to inform the coach company of their change.
Most transfers take a maximum of 2 hours. Depends where you are staying really. If staying in the Old town your transfer will or should be quick.
All transfers take at least about 50 minutes because of the journey distance.
If I was in your shoes DBUK Wife and I used to do it before are nightmare transfer.
When the driver takes your cases inform him you will get off at first hotel in Old Town and then either get that Hotel to call you a cab or wave one down.
For the sake of 10 Euros you will save loads of time, who cares about the home journey.
I ask the driver which hotel he has drop offs for. If he were to tell me there are 10 in the Old town before mine, then I would ask to be dropped at one of those 10 nearet to a taxi rank.
It's never happened though because usually his list of hotels is Not that long.
think i will get off first then just get taxi
The return journey this morning was much shorter we were picked up at 5.20 a.m. and got to the airport at 6.30 a.m. and we stopped at 8 stops and had to wait about 10 minutes at one stop as the people were not there.
For the price we paid I didn't really mind the long journey on Monday too much, but if we go back I would probably use them again but get a taxi from the old town.
