The kingdom choir 30th anniversary concert.
Led by Karen Gibson MBE, the London-based choir best known for its royal wedding performance marks 30 years of community, warmth, energy and enthusiasm.
After their show-stopping performance of ‘Stand By Me’ at the wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May 2018, The Kingdom Choir signed a record deal with Sony Music UK and released their debut album Stand By Me later that year.
The group of singers from in and around London draw from various Christian traditions and are dedicated to creating a sound that demonstrates the community they share through their warm energy and enthusiastic performance.
The choir is led by its founder and conductor, Karen Gibson, who was awarded an MBE in 2020 for her service to music.

The nearest tube and train stations within 5-7 minutes walk are Waterloo (Northern, Bakerloo, Jubilee and Waterloo & City lines) and Embankment (District & Circle lines). An accessible toilet is located in the foyer.
A Changing Places toilet is located on Level 1 Royal Festival Hall next to the JCB Glass Lift, for the exclusive use of disabled people who need personal assistance to use the toilet.
The facility includes a height-adjustable bench, tracking hoist system, a centrally-placed toilet, a height-adjustable basin and a shower. The phone outside the Changing Places toilet will connect you with a member of staff, who can provide you with the key. The facility is open daily 10am – 11pm.
The Queen Elizabeth Hall cloakroom is closed. You won’t be able to bring any bags over 40 x 25 x 25cm into the Queen Elizabeth Hall, so please leave large bags at home.

For step-free access from the Queen Elizabeth Hall Slip Road off Belvedere Road to the Queen Elizabeth Hall auditorium seating (excluding rows A to C) and wheelchair spaces in the Rear Stalls, plus Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer and the Purcell Room, please use the Queen Elizabeth Hall main entrance.
To reach this entrance, enter the Royal Festival Hall via the Southbank Centre Square Doors. Take the JCB Glass Lift to Level 2 and exit to the Riverside Terrace. Turn right to find the Queen Elizabeth Hall main entrance.
You can also use the external lift near the Artists' Entrance on Southbank Centre Square to reach Mandela Walk, Level 2.
For access to the Queen Elizabeth Hall auditorium seating rows A to C and wheelchair spaces in the Front Stalls, please enter via the Artists' Entrance in the Queen Elizabeth Hall Slip Road (Level 1).
Talk to a member of staff at the auditorium entrance if you have a disability that means you can’t queue, or you need extra time to take your seat. They can arrange priority entry for you as soon as the doors open.

Legendary London based choir Kingdom Choir have announced a special 30th anniversary date at Queen Elizbeth Hall London on 30th November.
The Kingdom Choir have a huge list of accolades including performing at British Summer Time with Barbara Streisand, opening the Major League Baseball game, performed headline tours across the UK, US and Australia.
Perhaps best known for their show-stopping performance of 'Stand By Me' at the Royal Wedding in May 2018, The Kingdom Choir signed a major record deal with Sony Music UK and released their debut album 'Stand By Me' later that year.
The album included the choir's much-loved rendition of 'Stand By Me', which went straight in at Number 1 on the Billboard Gospel Songs Chart, and showcased the pure joy and spiritual essence that runs through all of their performances.
The group of singers from in and around London draw from various Christian traditions and are dedicated to creating a sound that demonstrates the community they share through their warm energy and enthusiastic performance, led by founder/conductor, Karen Gibson , who was awarded an MBE in 2020 for her service to Music.
Prior to performing in front of nearly 2 billion people at the Royal Wedding, the largest audience The Kingdom Choir had performed to in recent years was just 600 people. Since then the choir have performed concerts all over the world including sold out shows at the Hollywood Bowl, the Royal Albert Hall and the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in Sydney.

London, UK – June 30, 2023 – Founded in 1994 by Karen Gibson MBE (the Godmother of Gospel ) The Kingdom Choir, renowned for their unforgettable performance at the 2018 Royal Wedding in front of a global televised audience of two billion people (Listen HERE . ), is back with a captivating new music single titled “ Let It Rain .” Written by Alex Hart, Karen Gibson, and Jonathan Owusu-Yianomah, and produced by Jonathan Owusu-Yianomah, this uplifting anthem is set to touch the hearts of listeners around the world. Featuring the mesmerising vocal talents of Gemma Risden, Marsha Morrison, James Francis, Clinton Jordan, Elaine Simpson, Kemi Bramwell, and Jonathan Owusu-Yianomah himself, “ Let It Rain ” is a powerful testament to the resilience we all possess. The Kingdom Choir have captivated audiences worldwide with their exceptional talent and radiant energy. Their awe-inspiring performance at the Royal Wedding in May 2018 brought it international acclaim, establishing it as one of the most sought-after choirs of our time.
The continued love shown for The Kingdom Choir has truly elevated their status. They released their debut album, Stand By Me ( Sony ), that same year, entering the UK charts at #17 during a four-week run in the Top 40. The title track also hit #1 on the Billboard Gospel Songs Chart . Subsequent releases have included Real Love , which earned repeated BBC Radio 2 airplay; the Together Again festive EP, and last year’s Apple Music Home Session , which was released to commemorate Black History Month 2022 .
The Kingdom Choir’s performances have remained in global demand ever since, with highlights including the Invictus Games , ITV’s Concert for Ukraine , Prince Albert II of Monaco’s 2021 gala, Expo 2020 and a headline show at the Hollywood Bowl . They have been sought out as collaborators by artists such as Gladys Knight , Gregory Porter , Emelie Sand é and Madness , as well as for brand collaborations which have included Cartier , Ralph Lauren , Coca-Cola , Burberry, British Airways and Marks & Spencer . Enduring popularity on social media has seen collaborations with Kirk Franklin and Bishop TD Jakes .
The Kingdom Choir ended 2022 by performing as special guests at Trevor Nelson’s Soul Christmas extravaganza at the Royal Albert Hall alongside the likes of Corinne Bailey-Rae and Andrew Roachford . In March 2023, The Kingdom Choir embarked on a triumphant US Tour, performing 25 shows across 14 states, further solidifying their position as a global music phenomenon. As the year unfolds, The Kingdom Choir eagerly anticipate their upcoming 30 th anniversary performance, set to take place at a sold-out Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. The event promises to be a high energy celebration of their remarkable journey and musical achievements.
The choir’s previous London headline shows have included sold-out performances at The Royal Albert Hall and The Roundhouse . At the latter show, Blues & Soul’s review stated, “ Boasting an array of musical talent, they proceeded to tear through a compelling set drawing in some of the most joyful religious and feel-good soul songs around. “
