Somewhat congested at times, but extremely convenient. Good stop for fueling up and paying at the pump.

Four stars because the people behind the counter have always been nice, the selection/variety is great and the store just feels clean and attended to. All great things. However...the people who own KwikTrip are major fanatical Christians who are anti-gay, anti-choice and are on the most extreme end of the religious right. I haven't been to Duluth since learning this, and knowing this, I won't be spending my money at KwikTrip next time I'm there.

This review I am going to hate writing, but after thinking about it, it is sadly needed. First, the good... The station is usually pretty clean and the counter staff are genuinely friendly most of the time. The negative.... This location hires outside security that unfortunately profiles customers which seems to have gotten worse the past three/four months to the point that I am writing about it. I mean I get it kind of... The station is not in the best area, and I will admit I dress very casual 90% of the time as am fortunate to work from home. So yes, I often have a hoodie and gym pants on and a winter jacket that is huge since well, we live in the North Pole here!! Lol... The issue is, is these security people don't even try to hide that they are profiling me. When I walk in the store they are standing at the entrance. I go to the candy or potato chip isle and not joking I can't count to 3 and they are looking at me to make sure I'm not stealing. Again, I get it that this location likely has a theft issue, BUT.... while I do "dress the part" maaaaybe a little thought would ping in their simple heads that.... "Ohhh yeah, that is a large jacket, but it is an Eddie Bauer jacket. And the gym pants are Nike pants, and the shoes are brooks shoes... Quick adding looks like this "potential shoplifter" is actually wearing just under $1,000 outfit, so maybe I can go back to my standing at the door rest mode." Again, my issue is not with the initial act of being profiled, it is that 1). They are borderline intimidating about it and 2). They lurk not knowing how to tell that while casual, the outfit is likely more than their average post-tax weekly check. I think for the time being I'll be using the other local KT stations or the Holiday down the block that I've never had that issue with.
