Queensland Pickleball Tour - Yeppoon
Description
The Queensland Pickleball Tour is a series of 5 events played in some of Queensland's best locations. The series will offer both Open and 50+ Open brackets with singles, doubles and mixed doubles events. Tournaments may offer additional events depending on their court availabilities. The series will culminate in a year end final with the top 8 point scorers/Golden Ticket winners progressing to the year end final in each bracket. Yeppoon Tennis Club is also pleased to offer additional doubles events for players 3.5 and under. Spaces limited to 20 teams per event. A coffee van and full canteen (with breakfast, lunch and snack options) will be available for both days of the tournament. Viewing and relaxed seating and shade options will be availabe but participants and spectators are more than welcome to bring their own seating. We look forward to seeing you on the 23 - 24 July 2022.

Refund Policy
Refunds will be provided no questions asked up to the close of registration (minus Stripe fees). After registration closes provision of medical certificate will ensure a full refund minus the transaction and service charges. General withdrawal after the close of registration will result in a $30 registration payment being retained to cover PAQ costs incurred. Once draws and times are published, NO refund will be given, except when a medical certificate can be provided. Extreme weather refund policy - should extreme weather prevent the tournament proceeding on the scheduled date the tournament will be rescheduled. If a player is unable to attend the next scheduled date a refund less the administration fee will be provided.

Pickleball: a sport for all ages
Queensland seniors are going wild for pickleball and during Queensland Seniors Month (October) we are shining a spotlight on our support for the Yeppoon Pickleball Festival that took place earlier this year.
Pickleball, a dynamic fusion of Tennis, Table Tennis, and Badminton, has been sweeping across Australia, captivating enthusiasts of all ages.
We were thrilled to provide $24,950 to support the Festival that was designed to be inclusive and accessible. The event showcased the Seniors Slam, a highlight where 93 players aged 50 and beyond, up to the sprightly age of 70, gathered to exhibit their skills ranging from 2.0 to 4.0 on the proficiency scale. The allure of pickleball lies in its adaptability, making it a game that welcomes players with diverse abilities, creating a truly inclusive environment.
The Seniors Slam wasn't just about competition; it was a vibrant affair with nightly social events, bringing together like-minded individuals for camaraderie and shared passion. The festival also played host to a Coaching Clinic, offering players the chance to refine their skills and deepen their appreciation for this rapidly growing sport.
Amidst the festival's schedule was a leg of the state-wide Queensland Pickleball Tour, linking the local event with a broader movement across the region. Despite the occasional challenge of light rain at the start of each day, the players reveled in the beautiful weather that graced the outdoor pickleball courts throughout the weekend.
Participants in the Seniors tournament praised the event, expressing gratitude for its inclusion in the state-wide Pickleball Tour. The Seniors Slam not only added a new dimension to the festival but also underscored the idea that pickleball is a sport for everyone, transcending age and ability. In the spirit of Queensland Seniors Month , it was a celebration of vitality, friendship, and the joy of embracing new adventures, proving once again that pickleball is more than just a game; it's a community, and one that welcomes seniors with open arms.
