08.30 – 08.30 AM: Our transport and guide will meet you at 8.30am, pick you up and drive you to Demra. You will be reaching at Demra in 1.5 hours from Gulshan. Here the leisurely river cruise on the Shitalakhya River commences, on board our traditional yacht you can relax, enjoy the morning tea & cake. Enjoy the panoramic beauty of Shitolakhya and experience about the riverine life of Banglades If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a Ganges River dolphin!

You will be reaching at Demra in 1.5 hours from Gulshan. Here the leisurely river cruise on the Shitalakhya River commences, on board our traditional yacht you can relax, enjoy the morning tea & cake. Enjoy the panoramic beauty of Shitolakhya and experience about the riverine life of Banglades If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a Ganges River dolphin! 

Murapara Zaminder palace visit

At Demra Ghat the boat will halt for a visit to the old Zamindar’s palace was established by the founder of the Murapara Raj family named Ramratan Banerjee. This building was renovated several times, and now a days, it just lost all it’s heritage. The whole palace is converted into a educational institute in that region. There are two large ponds located at the palace premise.

Optional Swimming activities and Lunch

Back to the boat again after half an hour cruising more you may also go for a refreshing swim in the river depending on the temperature and weather condition. During summer it is a nice activity to do swimming in the river so please bring your swimming gear if you have immense interest for swimming.  Enjoy the freshly cooked lunch onboard and watch activities by the riverside. 

Visit Traditional Zamdani Sari weaving village.

On the way back we serve tea, coffee, and french fries once finished the light refreshment we will have a short visit at Nowapar Village, where the Magic fingers are weaving Traditional Jamdani sari.

Return To Dhaka

Back to Demra and you will return to Dhaka, arriving in the late afternoon.

It is also possible to make the cruising program to any river around Dhaka, like Padma, Meghna, Burigonga & Turag. 

For cruising except for Shitalakhya river, additional cost TK 7,000 will apply as a boat moving charge.

What to ware ?

As Bangladesh is a majority Muslim country and has a conservative attitude toward dress. In this regard, a modest dress is always welcomed. In the metropolitan cities western dress will not be any problem but in the rural area better to be a bit modestly dressed to receive respect from the locals.

What about the permission of Chittagong Hill Tracts?

You must get permission to visit Chittagong Hill Tracts and it’s included in our package. Separate permission is required for Rangamati and Bandarban. We are an authorized company and you must not worry about that.

What kind of meals are included? Is customization possible?

Our Package includes complimentary breakfast at the hotels and lunch-dinner at good-quality restaurants. Bengali local food is spicy. Plain rice, vegetables, fish & meat are available in restaurants. Biriyani & Khichuri made of Rice, lentils, meat, and special spices are the famous food of old Dhaka also available in other cities. Non-spicy food is possible to order at most of the restaurants if you like. In Sundarbans, we have a special chef to make your food. We offer food for vegetarians. But there are limitations of items at some restaurants in remote areas.

If you want to exclude food, that’s fine. We will take you to the best restaurants.

Our special cruising vessels are locally made wooden /metal boats with typical Bangladeshi style. The boat has an inner deck with some beds/ cabins to relax and seating facilities on the upper and front deck. The boats are with western bathrooms facility. Keeping the guests and crew safe is the highest priority. Therefore, we are equipped with sufficient safety vests onboard for any emergency.

Full-Day River Cruise at Shitalakhya River

• After pick-up, you will drive to Kanchan bridge Ghat near 300 feet road of Bashundhara Dhaka. Board at the awaiting boat and start cruising on the Sitalakhya river. Have welcome drinks and enjoy the cruise.
• After 2 hours, the boat will reach a place name- Noapara village to show the traditional and famous Jamdhani weaving . It is also possible for you to buy pieces of Jamdhani clothes here as a souvenir. Stop at Murapara, here you can visit an old Zamindar’s palace now converted into a college. The cruising will continue northward for another hour before turning back, you may see the Gangetic Dolphins on the river.
• Lunch will be served at 1:00 pm and have tea/coffee with cookies before finishing the tour.
• In the evening, stop at Kanchan bridge and finish the trip.
• Timing and assembling for the places are flexible;

Southern Bangladesh happens to be home to some of the most fascinating riverboats in the region, particularly the historic old paddlewheel service known as the Rocket. Built by the British in the dockyards of Calcutta, these four Mississippi-style paddlewheels have been plying the waters between Dhaka and West Bengal since the 1920s. Today, first-class passengers can still experience the river much as their colonial predecessors did...just chalk it up to good old-fashioned Bangladeshi hospitality.

La Riveria is an amazing place to hang out with ur friends, family, and closest persons. This is situated near Shitolakkha river that’s y u can see the evening beauty and the beauty of the rivers. This place is pretty large u can go for a picnic here. There also a cottage system to stay over here. Very beautiful architectural design that will attract u.

It’s a very nice place for recreation. You may stay a night with family. It’s situated beside Shitolokkha river. Just 7 Kilos distance from Kuril flyover . Fantastic. It’s a resort-worthy of the visit. The lunch was nice. Clean place.

We spent a few hours on 26th December at this relatively new resort. Situated on the bank of Sitalakhya river, it is in the final stages of completion. It has potential to host both medium sized and small groups. We were a group of 7, 4 adults and 3 children, and were accompanied by 2 drivers.

Kolkata – dhaka 12 days.

A cross country cruise through the Sundarbans from Kolkata, India to Dhaka, Bangladesh exploring the diverse eco-system, culture and heritage connecting the two countries.

Exploratory cruise from Kolkata to Dhaka, where we traverse the Hooghly (Lower Ganges) in India; the world’s largest mangrove forests and UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Sundarbans; and the Meghna river of Bangladesh.

Morning the ship embarks at the Botanical Garden Jetty in Kolkata. Enjoy lunch on board. In the afternoon set off on a panoramic tour of the heritage buildings in Kolkata, St. John's Church and, the Victoria Memorial Museum.  

Early morning visit the Marine House to complete immigration formalities. We then sail along the Hooghly river, cruising past Diamond Harbour & Kedgeree, towards the Bay of Bengal to reach the fishing port of Namkhana. Sunderbans are, the world’s largest delta mangrove forests and habitat of the famous Royal Bengal Tiger. Based on the tide situation we cross Hatania Doaniya Creek and moor, near Bhagabatpur.

Early this morning we visit the crocodile project at Bhagabatpur island, a hatchery and sanctuary of the estuarine crocodiles. Continue sailing to Jharkali where we will visit the Tiger Rescue Centre (time permitting) before anchoring at Sajnakahli, near the core wildlife zone. 

Today we sail through the wildlife area of Sundabarbans to Bangladesh. After completing customs formalities at Hemnagar, we cruise down to the Bangladeshi side of the Sunderbans to Antihara and anchor overnight. 

This morning we sail to Mongla and later in the day visit the Sixty Domed Mosque and Museum at Bagerhat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sail to the forest station and complete the Forest Department formalities, accompanied by a forest guard. We will cruise down towards Kotka forest station and anchor for the night.

Disembark to view the mangrove’s fauna and flora and enjoy a short silent boat trip inside the forest.  Visit the Kotka Jamtola sea beach and enjoy its scenic beauty. Return to the ship for Lunch. Thereafter visit Kotka forest area to find deer and other animals. Return to ship and sail onward to Harbaria.

Today at dawn, explore the narrow creeks and canals of Harbaria on rowing boats. Return to the ship for breakfast, sailing back towards Barisal mooring at Morlegonj.

This morning we sail to Barisal. Post lunch we visit the Oxford Epiphany Church.

In the morning we visit the Floating Market and continue cruising to Meghna Ghat in Dhaka.

Today after breakfast, we explore Sonargaon with an excursion to the medieval capital of Bengal. Here we explore Panam City, Sadarbari, Goaldi Mosque and an art and craft museum.

This morning we disembark and proceed to visit the Dhakeswari Temple. During the tour, enjoy the picturesque drive to Dhaka’s heritage buildings like Dhaka University, Curzon Hall, National Assembly and the Old High Court.

KHULNA-HARBARIA-KOTKA-KOCHIKHALI-KARAMJAL – KHULNA 

Program: 3 Days & 2 Nights. 

1st. Day:   Our vessel awaiting in Khulna Rupsha ferry ghat early in the morning within 6:00 am. Then start cruise towards the Sundarban forest. On the way, the boat will stop at Dhangmari /  Chandpai Forest station. Take the permit & pay the fees and take 2 forest armed guard then visit Harabia Forest Office.  The cruising will continue till Kotka upon arrival.

2nd. Day:   Very early in the morning take the small boat for cruise through the small canal for bird watching trip inside forest. Back to the ship and take breakfast then walk through the Mangrove forest and climbing the watch tower to Jamtala sea-beach for sunbath, back to ship  then the boat will resume its journey towards the Forest which will continue till Kochikhali.Upon arrival, the accompanying Guide will lead you towards the Kochikhali Forest Office, where you will find plenty of deer, Monkey, birds etc. Back to the boat, snacks will be served. On this evening, Bar-B-Q dinner will serve. Our vessel will start in the evening journey to Dhangmari/Chandpai forest office upon arrival and stay overnight.

3rd. Day:   After breakfast we will visit the Karamjal forest office and resume its journey towards Khulna. On the way, Take a stopover for surrender forest permission and get down arms guard.  We shall reach Khulna in the evening.       End…………..
