We set sail down the breath-taking west coast passing quaint fishing villages along the way and taking in the picturesque views as we make our way to Soufriere, home to the majestic Pitons. Once we reach Soufriere you will be shuttled to the Sulphur Springs where you will have the choice of touring the world’s famous drive-in volcano or experience the mud baths, they are rumoured to leave you looking ten years younger. Then on to Toraille Waterfall to take a refreshing dip under the cascading fresh waters before you are transported back to the catamaran where a sumptuous meal is served buffet style. We head to a swimming and snorkeling location for you to explore the underwater flora and fauna and colorful sea life all around you. Now the rum punch is flowing as we pass through Marigot Bay before dancing our way back to dock.

Soufriere Adventure Catamaran Day Sail

Relax and savour hot hors d’ oeuvres as you sail the rugged, scenic west coast down and the villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries. Be camera ready as you approach the majestic Pitons in the Historic Soufriere.

Take the shuttle to the Toraille Waterfall, followed by an option between the Fountain of Youth, Sulphur Springs Mud Baths where you will join in the pools to rejuvenate your skin, or take a tour of the Qualibo volcano, where the guide will tell you about its history, geography and the many stories surrounding it.

Rejoin the catamaran for  a short sail west for lunch and swimming at a secluded bay.   After lunch head north, visit Marigot Bay for scenic views, then return to the docks for your ride back to your hotel.

Tour description.

On this half day-trip, the first stop is the Cathedral in Castries, which was given Basilica status by Pope John Paul II on his visit to St. Lucia in July, 1986. Alongside the Cathedral is the famous Derek Walcott Square, named after one of St. Lucia’s Nobel Laureate, Derek Walcott. The trip continues through Morne Fortune,where we view the Governor’s mansion overlooking the Capital city.

Through Cul-de-sac Valley and one of our largest banana plantations, you continue south to La Croix Maingot, which depicts the lush green vegetation of St. Lucia. Our next stop is Marigot Bay. By ferry, a two-minute water ride takes you to the Marigot Beach Club for refreshments. Soufriere Catamaran Sail Tour in St. Lucia

"Come Sail Away," the Styx song beckons. You'll be glad you joined the Soufriere Sail Tour and did just that.

After you board your catamaran sailboat, your crew will help you get comfortable. The boat size will depend on the number of participants. The group size is usually between 70 and 90 guests. There is a shaded deck as well as space in the sun to relax. Your boat has restrooms on board. Your St. Lucia catamaran tour begins as you sail southbound for approximately 2 hours from Ganters Bay along the west coast to the town of Soufriere. Along the way you will see world-famous Marigot Bay and the villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries.

As you sail into the town of Soufriere, the magnificent Pitons will be seen rising 2,500 feet from the seashore. The Pitons are two distinct volcanic formations that have each been named a World Heritage Site.

From Soufriere, you will board your mini-coach for the land portion of your adventure, which lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours. After your trip past the Pitons, you will visit the Sulphur Springs, the world's only "drive-in" volcano. You will have the option to take a tour of the volcano , or dip into the hot springs for a mud bath. Afterwards, you will see spectacular Diamond Falls and the Botanical Gardens before heading to a local restaurant, where you will have 45 minutes to an hour for lunch.

After lunch, we will begin the sail back to Castries. A sail of approximately 20 minutes brings the CAT to a picturesque secluded bay, where you will anchor for approximately 45 minutes of swimming and snorkeling at your leisure from the boat. During the next hour, we will sail north towards the harbor, with a quick sail into Marigot Bay (where the films Dr. Doolittle, Fire Power and Superman 2 were filmed) for photos. Then it's on to Castries Harbour for your return home. Throughout the day, keep your eyes open for playful dolphins that often swim alongside our catamaran.

Sailing is one of the most relaxing ways to experience St.Lucia’s amazing coastline and enjoy views that a simple not visible by any other form of travel on the island. Although we are based in Soufriere, we are very flexible and can organize charters starting from any point on the west coast of the island.

What makes sailing so appealing in the Caribbean and especially St.Lucia are the northeasterly trade winds, which blow on average 15 – 25 knots of wind on most days. These are the perfect wind conditions for sailing, helping our yachts cruise between 8 – 10 knots. The difference between chartering a yacht for a day verses a powerboat is that nothing is rushed as you at the mercy of the wind and seas. The experience is in the journey and not the destination. Dolphins, Turtles and sometimes-even Whale are seen spotted whilst out on one of our customizable charters.

We operate a fleet of 2 monohull yachts; a Beneteau Oceanis 370 and our very fast and comfortable Dufour GibSea 43. Our catamaran fleet includes a 52ft Buhler Day Charter catamaran and our flagship vessel, “Serendipity”, a 42ft Fountaine Pajot Venezia.

As mentioned earlier, our sailing charters are extremely flexible and can be customized to your needs. We offer scheduled weekly excursions, private day charters and for the true enthusiast we also offer multi day charters.

Snorkeling / swimming stops are included on all of our sailing excursions.

For clients interested in our scheduled excursions we offer:

Half Day Sail & Snorkel

A 3-½ hour sailing expedition, our normal route takes us 5 miles north to the Anse Chocon marine reserve where we stop off for snorkeling and swimming before sailing back down to Soufriere. Beverages are provided onboard and they include bottled water, local beer, sodas and rum punch. The half-day sail can either be booked on mornings or afternoons. This excursion is also available from Marigot Bay, Castries and Rodney Bay.

Full Day Sail

Our most popular sailing option, this 7 hour charter is ideal for persons looking for a day out on the Caribbean sea to unwind, relax and take in some amazing scenery. The route remains the same as the half-day sail, however after snorkeling and swimming at the Anse Chochon marine park, we continue another 4 miles north to Marigot Bay where we stop off for lunch.

Widely regarded as the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean, it was used as the setting for the film adaptation of Hugh Lofting’s Doctor Doolittle starring Rex Harrison in 1967. The bay is also an important historic landmark in many 18th Century battles between the French and British Navies.

Today, Marigot Bay is a popular stop to many visiting yachtsmen traveling through the Caribbean and is home to a few popular restaurants, and small hotels.

After lunch there would be time to walk around and do some shopping at the souvenir shops along the dock. The sail back down to Soufriere takes approximately 1 ½ hours.

Private Charter to Pigeon Island

Private sailing charters can be arranged to Pigeon Island Nature Reserve, 15 miles north of Soufriere. Sailing time would be approximately 3 hours from Soufriere. The national park is set on a 44-acre island, which was joined to the mainland in 1972 via a causeway. Pigeon Island has numerous attractions including ruins of military buildings used during the 18th century wars, an interpretation centre, restaurants and panoramic views of the island from Fort Rodney.

Private Charter to Soufriere

For clients staying in the north of the island we have no problem organizing a day sail down to Soufriere. We usually start off at 9am and after a 2-hour sail we arrive in Soufriere. There are many options to choose from and depending on your schedule we can arrange a tour of the volcano, waterfall or the botanical gardens. From the dock in Soufriere it would only be a 5 – 8 minute taxi ride to those sites. If you’re not interested in stepping off the yacht, you can also spend some time at either Anse Chastanet or Jalousie Marine reserves. They both have excellent snorkeling and swimming areas and you are free to use the beaches to hang out. We usually leave Soufriere at 2pm to head back up to Castries.

Afternoon Sail with Gourmet Dinner

The ultimate dining experience. This package combines an afternoon sailing trip, snorkeling, swimming, a sunset cruise and a gormet dinner prepared onboard the yacht with your own personal chef after sunset. We use our luxury 42ft catamaran “Serendipity” which has over 1000 sq ft of deck space, 4 cabins, hot / cold water showers and everything you will need to make the most of this 6 hour excursion. Saint Lucia Experience Tour

Your private guide/driver awaits you with a sign at the cruise port or hotel. Our first stop is Marigot Bay. One of the most beautiful marinas in the Caribbean. Leaving Castries we will pass the Banana plantation near Roseau Valley. I will will give you brief information on our main export crop. You will have the opportunity to taste our sweet ripe banana and also view different craft made out of dry banana leaves. The Drive continues to Anse Raye a fishing village home of the famous SeaFood Friday Festivals. Then to a smaller coastal fishing village of Canaries, a real taste of St. Lucia and also the home of the freshly baked cassava bread. Our final Stop will be the beautiful town of Soufriere. We will make a brief stop at the viewing point to take some photos. There is an amazing view of the Twin Peaks rising 2400 ft from the sea, The Piton are designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our three main stop is Tet Paul Nature Trail, Sulphur Springs and Toraille Waterfall. You do have the option of a local Lunch Stop.

Soufriere Experience Tour

Explore the wonders of soufriere, saint lucia- home of the famous twin pitons..

Your driver will pick you up at your hotel, Airbnb etc. Our first stop will be the Tet Paul Nature Trail. This hike is rated easy to moderate and is roughly 45 minutes long. Hiking the trail is like soaring heavenward on a beautiful natural staircase to the amazing view of the Twin Pitons. Our journey continues to the Caribbean only to drive to the volcano (The Sulphur Springs). Aguide will give you a brief description of this amazing place. Enjoy the mud bath, that is guaranteed to make you feel so relaxed. Our tour continues to the Toraille Waterfall, better known as the “power shower. This waterfall emerges from the Rainforest. At the end of this tour, you do have the option of a local lunch

Southern Tour​

Twenty minutes drive from Soufriere to the south of the island, we will venture into Choiseul, the centre for the island’s rich Amerindian heritage. Our first stop is the Choiseul Craft Centre which showcases their highly skilled work, Continuing into Laborie another gem rarely seen by visitors. The palm fringed beach of black sands is one of the island’s most beautiful. There you will have the option of enjoying this beach. We will then visit Balenbouche estate. At the estate you will learn about the history of what was once a sugar cane planation in the 1700. We will then head to the southern tip of the island, Vieux Fort, for a spectacular view, a trip to the lighthouse point of Moule a Chique is one of those side trips that will prove to be a highlight of your trip. After you do have the option of a local lunch.

Then we will be heading to the Rum Distillery- where you will learn about the entire process of Rum Making and sample all the rum made in Sweet Saint Lucia. Right next door is the Banana plantation near Roseau Valley. I will give you brief information on our main export crop. We will drive around the city to learn more about our history. Our final stop would be the Pigeon Island National Park- famous for our main stage event venue for the islands Jazz festival. Rainforest Tour (Enbas Saut Trail)

This trail is within the 19,000 acres of Central Rainforest Reserve: six miles East of Soufriere at the foot of the highest mountain Mt. Gimie. The Enbas Saut Trail is 2.5 miles (5km) cut trail remote, wild and unbelievably scenic, with a combination of rainforest, cloud forest, elfin woodland lands and wildlife. Birds common to the area include the St. Lucian parrot, the St. Lucia black finch, the blue-hooded euphonia and mountain whistler Piton Canaries, Piton Troumassee and Mount Gimie stand predominantly not too far from the trail. Enbas Saut when translated to English means “below the falls”. Thus the trail is most famous for its two cascading waterfalls and pools at the head of the Troumassee river. You’ ll walk down on solid ground as well as scores of wooden steps before reaching the waterfall and natural pool that’s a popular swimming spot. After you do have the option of a local lunch.

Nude cruise to set sail from Florida next year: Here are the starting costs, itinerary

The "Big Nude Boat" cruise, which allows passengers to bare all − yes, even at the buffet − is set to sail from Florida next year.

The "11-day adventure" to the Caribbean is set for the first two weeks of February on the Norwegian Pearl, according to the Bare Necessities Tour & Travel website.

"Bare Necessities’ newest nude cruise is a private island double-dip with a brand new travel partner!" the company wrote on its website.

The trip which embarks from Miami, includes "an exclusive visit to an idyllic private island" in The Bahamas as well a another exclusive stop on the way back to the Port of Miami.

"Two opportunities to enjoy a new slice of Bare-adise, coupled with a beautiful selection of Eastern Caribbean island stops, will make this a can’t miss Big Nude Boat experience," the travel company posted.
