Due to India's size and topography, the climate varies from place to place but the best time to visit, generally speaking, is in the winter from December until early March. During the coolest months (December-January), temperatures can get quite cold in Delhi and in the north, especially at night. The whole country tends to get very hot from April onwards and most regions experience the summer from late May to around October. The entire 9 day tour was a wonderful experience. Traveling alone, it was agreed that I would have a driver but no guide however Himanshu met me at the airport and spent 5 days with me before returning to Jaipur. My friend and I had an amazing time touring for 8 days in Kerala with BoutIndia’s Managing Director, Himanshu. He is a wonderful photographer and took most of the photos so that I could enjoy the sites, scenery and non-stop action. Parvez arranged a five-person, 24-day trip that included Delhi, Rajasthan, Agra, Varanasi, and Kerala that was utterly delightful and seamless. Despite his smiling presence and calm demeanor, I knew he worked hard behind the scenes to handle every detail to make sure everything went smoothly.

Two couples and long time friends booked a trip starting in Goa, driving to Hampi, then flying to Madurai. We again had a driver and explored world heritage sites from Kancheepuram to the backwaters of Kerala. Hotels were excellent and importantly so were our driver who were experienced and spoke good English. Our agent was always available by phone and always helpful the few times needed. Trip could not have been better. Recommend without reservation.

From 2014 to 2018 I’ve done 3 tour in India Rajasthan, South India, Varanasi, Amritsar, and I’m going to have the fourth. I like India and I’m strictly joint with this country. I went in contact with Parvez and Indian Journey in a wonderful period I was in India to adopt my daughter and since then Parvez-Bahi was for me not only the best travel agent ever known but over all he was a brother an angel who protected me and my family and friends, in India.

We used Indian Journey this month for a Golden Triangle itinerary. Without a doubt, every driver, guide, and representative were top notch and immediately available via text, phone, or Whataspp (preferred).

Not once did we feel out of touch nor left questioning our itinerary. The guides were able to be a bit flexible with personal goals and priorities.

Excellent staff, prompt communication, flexibility, and guides. Just beware of the hard sell at the Cottage Industries mandatory handicraft/carpet shops.

Our third trip with Indian Journey was as memorable as ever. We have previously used Parvez (INDIAN JOURNEY) for touring Rajasthan and then a year later Amritsar, Shimla & Manali. All hotel bookings were good , Pawan our Driver was superb (we had him for 15 days in this last road trip). I have yet to come across a more decent and polite travel organisation in India, where the emphasis is on service and well being of the customer with very good prices.

This trip we did this time was Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and finally Udaipur. We stayed 2 nights at each location.

I would have no hesitation to recommend (and I have already sent a number of my friends in the UK Parvez’s details) INDIAN JOURNEY for organizing your next holiday.

If you want home away from home than you should get in touch with Indian Journey Mr Parvez Khan. I have used other service providers in India on my previous visits but no one came close to Indian Journey when it comes to your comfort and service. You will be treated as a family member of Indian Journey.

I have visited lots of places and the best thing is that as soon as you reach your Hotel to check in you will receive a call from Indian Journey to ask if the Hotel is to your liking and if not they arrange to transfer you to another Hotel with fulfills your needs and wants. I have visited India more than five times with young family and solo.There is no comparison in service and comfort with Indian Journey. It.s a Marathi establishment and anyone out side it will be like fish out of water.I had this experience and believe me I felt like an untouchable.Horrible . The language of conversation is also Marathi.

I am totally unhappy with Thomas Cook, on trip to Andamans they put me in terrible hotel at port Blair , a room with just a bed ( called it 3 star), did not give time for lunch on one segment, being diabetic that became a serious concern

Did not take us to many tourist attractions though was mentioned in their list, Claimed these were COMPLEMENTARY AND HENCE WE SHOULD COVER IT ON OUT OWN. This was mentioned in the offer letter. Did not give the iteneary till the last .

In short package was grossly mis- sold. Did not expect that from a number one tour operater. Could not even connect to them on phone after the money was paid.

This year my vacation I had decided to spend in Indian Himalayas. Looking for the local travel agency, I found Shikhar Travels. And that was the best choice indeed. First we started from the trekking: Mt. Stok Kangri 6153, and then moved to reach our final goal: Mt. Nun 7135 Amazing time with the best service I could imagine. Hello, my husband and I were in India in March 2019. We asked Shikhar Travels for personal trip on the south India. We walked Bangalore-Mysore-Hassan-Hampi-Badami-Hubli and Goa. Everything was perfect. Agency care about us like queen and king. We are from Slovakia and don´t speak english. Some situations were funny. Their service was brilliant. Our driver, hotels, guides, food... perfect! People are very kindly, helpful. We hope, we will back for years and again with Shikhar. Recomend!

The traffic in India has to be witnessed to be believed! All traffic, most of the time requires experience ++ to negotiate. You will really need an Indian driver who has the patience and expertise to get you there safely. Our driver picked us up from our accommodation and took us to Agra for Taj Mahal visit and several times to Delhi airport and back for domestic travel. All drivers from Shikhar courteous, good English and generally lovely people. Would definitely use Shikhar again.

I am very impressed with the service provided by Shikhar travel, first of all very quick response by emails made it easy to communicate for arranging the trip beforehand and it was well prepared all through the trip. Even when some trouble happens they tried to do their best to solve. It was my first time to work with them and now I have trust after working with them. We weren't too happy with the initial boat we were given for our Backwater tour, but the company quickly changed us to another boat, which was great. Lack of clarity, program was ambiguous. Difficult to determine what was and was not included. Tour had one itinerary, transport company had another itinerary and driver had another itinerary. Driver would say activity was included however when dropped at activity we would have to negotiate price. Too many players in the process, lots of confusion and felt like an element of corruption between all parties including the activity people. In reality the tour was a car, a driver and accommodation nothing more. We had to pay for a number of activities and only when we complained the driver suddenly provided some reimbursement. It appeared like “let the customer negotiate and pay” and if they don’t complain the driver/transport/tour company pocket the benefit. We paid around 170,000inr for this tour and based on our experience we would never use TourRadar again.
