Indonesia outbound travel bookings continue to surge

Indonesian outbound travel agents are anticipating a busy year, with some companies reporting double the bookings in February for travel up to January 2024, as compared to the same time last year.

Travel companies that participated at the Association of Travel Agents in Indonesia (ASTINDO) Travel Fair 2023 in February, revealed that Japan and Western Europe were in high demand, as well as popular destinations such as Australia, Thailand and Singapore.

Hatta Pradhana, head of marketing, digital, communication & partnership at Dwidaya Tour, shared that the company has seen a surge in bookings since September 2022.

“The increase in orders (between January and February 2023) was around 60 per cent, (but in) September 2022 to February 2023, (the growth) was more than 110 per cent,” said Hatta.

Meanwhile, Golden Rama Tours & Travel reported that in January and February 2023 alone, the company sent 140 groups of around 20 tourists each on trips that last between six and 14 days, according to its head of marketing, Ricky Hilton.

In addition to the ASTINDO Fair, Golden Rama participated in several other fairs, including its own.

Hilton commented: “From our three-day solo exhibition in January (alone), we already received about 1,000 customers, not to mention the online booking and daily sales.”

Pauline Suharno, president of ASTINDO, expects a good year for outbound travel from the country, considering the results of the ASTINDO Travel Fair.

She said: “Visitors’ interest in the show and our sales were great despite the fact that our show was the last after (the) Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Japan National Tourism Organization travel fairs.”

According to a Google Trends report, the demand for overseas travel began increasing exponentially last year, with searches for “international travel” increasing by 280 per cent compared to 2021, and this trend is expected to continue this year.

Pauline pointed out that Indonesians seem to prefer travelling in smaller groups with families or communities, and fellow travel agents now list smaller-sized groups compared to the previous 40 passengers per group, which could be due to health and safety reasons.

She also noted that travellers are now booking their holidays in advance as opposed to last minute, partly due to the longer visa application processes post-lockdown. Additionally, with prices soaring, booking promotional airfares and tour packages at travel fairs early in the year for trips in June and December are ways to get a good deal.

Hilton, meanwhile, advised that travellers should book between three and six months in advance so they can have peace of mind. However, he stated that there will still be those who “chase last-minute bookings for school holidays and Eid holiday period”.

Pembukaan DIATF 2023 dihadiri oleh, Menteri Perhubungan (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi, Wakil Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Parekraf) Angela Tanoesoedibjo, Deputy Bidang Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Kemenkomarves Oddo Manuhutu, Ketua Umum Gabungan Industri Pariwisata Indonesia (GIPI), Haryadi Sukamdani dan Ketua Umum DPP Asosiasi Travel Agent Indonesia (Astindo), Pauline Suharno.

Wakil Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Parekraf) Angela Tanoesoedibjo, mengatakan Travel Fair Bangga Ber Wisata di Indonesia dengan nama #DiIndonesiaAja Travel Fair 2023, sebagai upaya untuk mendukung implementasi program Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia yang memiliki target 1,2 – 1,4 miliar perjalanan atau 2x dari tahun 2022.

"Memang target pariwisata Indonesia tahun ini meningkat, kalau kita bicara wisatawan luar negara meningkat, kalau wisatawan lokal 1,4 miliar pergerakan. Kita optimis akan tercapai," kata Angela, Jumat (19/5/2023).

Wamenparekraf, mengungkapkan dalam event Travel Fair ini akan banyak promo-promo menarik yang bisa dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Indonesia untuk membeli paket pariwisata dengan harga yang terjangkau.

"Kami bangga, ini tiga hari ke depan akan banyak promo-promo menarik. Kalau ingin berwisata dan membeli paket event bisa beli disini," ujarnya.

Dia berharap, dengan travel fair ini bisa mensupport produk-produk wisata di dalam negeri. Karena kondisi dalam negeri sudah jauh membaik pasca pandemi.

Selain itu, pasca mudik 2023 kemarin bisa menjadi momentum untuk mempromosikan pariwisata di dalam negeri. Sebab, mudik kemarin pergerakan orangnya sangat tinggi.

"Mudik tahun ini menjadi tertinggi dalam sejarah, jadi kita melihat ini momentum yang pas mempromosikan wisata Indonesia ke masyarakat," ujarnya.

Nusantaratv.com - Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Maritim dan Investasi RI (Kemenkomarves RI) menggelar pameran perjalanan wisata domestik bertajuk #DiIndonesiaAja Travel Fair mulai dari 19-21 Mei 2023 di Grand Atrium Mal Kota Kasablanka, Tebet, Jakarta Selatan.

Deputy Bidang Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif – Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Maritim dan Investasi RI – Oddo Manuhutu menyampaikan bahwa tujuan Travel Fair dengan tema BBWI , Bangga Ber Wisata di Indonesia dengan nama #DiIndonesiaAja Travel Fair 2023, bertujuan untuk mendukung implementasi program Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia.

Program Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia ini memiliki target 1,2 - 1,4 miliar perjalanan atau 2x dari target yang dicanangkan pada 2022 dan diperkirakan akan memberikan dampak pendapatan pariwisata di kisaran Rp 3.281 triliun. Dimana nilai tersebut akan berdampak signifikan terhadap pemulihan pariwisata dan ekonomi makro. Selain itu juga untuk membangun kemandirian pariwisata Indonesia dengan mengembangkan mindset kebanggaan dan prioritas berwisata di Indonesia.

Sementara itu Deputi Bidang Pemasaran – Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif RI turut menyampaikan bahwa pada tahun 2023, Pemerintah telah menetapkan target pergerakan wisatawan nusantara sebanyak batas bawah di 1,2 miliar dan batas atas 1,4 miliar perjalanan wisnus dengan nilai kontribusi pariwisata terhadap PDB diharapkan bisa mencapai 4,10%. Pencapaian target ini didukung dengan kampanye nasional Bangga Berwisata Di Indonesia (BBWI) dengan tagar #DIINDONESIAAJA sebagai ajakan agar masyarakat Indonesia lebih mencintai destinasi wisata di Indonesia sekaligus mendorong pariwisata di daerah.

Pameran pariwisata ini juga bertujuan mempromosikan destinasi wisata di Indonesia pada umumnya, khususnya destinasi super prioritas. Selama #DiIndonesiaAja Travel Fair, pengunjung bisa menikmati berbagai paket wisata domestik, juga paket wisata tematik di lima destinasi super prioritas (Borobudur, Danau Toba, Likupang, Mandalika, dan Labuan Bajo). Selain itu, juga ada vocher hotel, tiket pesawat, cruise (kapal pesiar), desa wisata, dan destinasi wisata di berbagai daerah.

Pameran ini juga didukung oleh beberapa agen perjalanan, penyedia atraksi wisata, transportasi, hotel, dan destinasi pariwisata di daerah. In the Moscow region there is a small cozy town Elektrostal. Its sights for the most part have no historical value due to the fact that the city has a relatively small history. Today Elektrostal is a promising industrial city with a great future and a heroic past. It bears the proud name "City of Military and Labor Glory".

Those who come to the city by train are met by a monument to the metallurgist. It was installed in November 2017 for the 100th anniversary of the Elektrostal plant. Until 1999, there was no central museum among the attractions of Elektrostal in the Moscow Region. The expositions were exhibited in schools, the house of culture, in factory museums. The city was closed, so there was no large influx of tourists and visitors. The appearance of the historical and art museum made it possible for residents and guests of the city to learn a lot of useful information about their native land, the formation of the production process, and the difficult years of the war. The exposition consists of paintings by local artists, historical artifacts, household items, documents, books and much more. The collection is updated regularly. It also hosts outdoor exhibitions, which are always popular with the townspeople.

One of the main attractions of Elektrostal, the photo of which is available to almost every resident or visitor, is the Main Alley. On herpassers-by like to stroll along shady paths, townspeople rest by the fountain after a hard shift at the plant. Flower beds are the decoration of the alley. In 2006, a flower festival was held here for the first time, which has become traditional. There is a cultural center in the city. It hosts performances by local creative teams and visiting stars, performances and circus performances.

There are several of them in the city: the church of St. John of Kronstadt, St. Andrew's Church, the hospital church of St. Panteleimon. Another new church is being built. In appearance, the temples look ancient, monumental, in the Novgorod style. But they were all built at the end of the 20th century.

Migrants scalped a young guy

The incident occurred because a guy with green hair asked migrants for a cigarette, who did not like his appearance.
