Awesome tour. I am a regualar visiter to Napier, but my last trip was by far the best. Imogen was great fun and really made for a relaxed fun tour. highly recommended!

fantastic tour, really informative with a great selection of wineries. our guide was imogen and she was fantastic! really brought the group together so we all had a great time. we were given a lot of local and cultural knowledge as well as wine knowledge and we felt we got to know the wineries and their staff on a more personal level because of her rapport with them. and we got some great stinky cheese at the end! highly recommended.

What a great time with Imogen we had. All the tastings were big fun. Its my first good introduction in the amazing world off the wine. nice port too at moana park we still enjoy it. Thanks!!!!!

A great way to tour the wineries around Napier and Hastings. The van met us at our campsite and took us to five different wineries and also left us for lunch. Tour was very knowledgable about the area and gave us a lot of great information.

We had a wonderful day on the grape escape wine and dine tour. Greg promptly picked us up from our hotel at 11 and we toured 5 excellent wineries with one stop for a lunch at a vineyard and some wine and cheese. He was friendly and knowledgeable, providing us with interesting facts about the area and wineries and we had a great experience. The pace was easygoing and laid back and we enjoyed the excellent wine, food and company! He let us take as long as we wanted to at each winery and it never felt rushed. He was friendly and informative. I did a lot of research to pick the tour company and I am very happy I chose grape escape! Excellent experience and value for money!

This was an awesome wine tour! Our tour guide, who's id was posted on the dash but unfortunately I have since forgotten his name, and he can only be identified as the man with a haircut as he did have a sweet hairdo in that id picture. However, his locks had since been tamed, but his knowledge of wine and his hospitality were still awesome. Our tour guide spoke expertly of wine, but never bored us. He mentioned tasting notes at the wineries, but was never intrusive. He was a safe driver, and he fed us cheese. He was a good man.

Our luxury wine tour in Hawke’s Bay is designed for those serious about wine that are looking for a more intimate experience of the region’s wineries. Wine education, regional history, and knowledge of the finest restaurant food in the region are all a part of our service.

Taste classic red varieties such as Syrah/Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir. Hawke's Bay vintners are also renowned for such white varieties as Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Blanc, Pinot Gris, Viognier and Semillon generally found in Noble dessert wines. Depending on availability, you may also taste port style wine, and even a dessert red or two

Your day of wine tasting.

Your tour begins from your accommodation where you will picked up in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. First stop we visit Brookfields and enjoy a tasting with the Robertson Family and taste their amazing wines featuring the iconic Gold Label - Bordeaux style blend.  We then travel out to Church Road for a fine wine tasting of the 3 Classic Tom wines followed by lunch if chosen as the lunch stop We then continue along the Tuki Tuki river valley route, undoubtedly one of the most scenic pastoral and vineyard drives in New Zealand. People often compare this area to Tuscany

Next stop Craggy Range where you will enjoy their wonderful wines along with The Prestige series of wines with amazing views of the Eastern side of Te Mata Peak.  After lunch we will drive to the top of Te Mata Peak (elevation 399 metres). Te Mata is short for Te Mata o Rongakako - “the face of the giant”. You will hear more about this giant in stories told as we travel. From the top of Te Mata, you will enjoy amazing 360-degree views of the Heretaunga Plains. The peak is on the AA list of 101 things Kiwis must see in New Zealand .We leave the last two wineries as an option for you to choose to suit your taste
