The quiet atmosphere and everything that is only a walk away.

It's ALWAYS a pleasure to visit Monateng especially the activities and restaurant!

The entire place was just great, the pathway to the lodge 🥹, the entrance and staff were so kind and explained everything The area honestly exceeded our expectations and I feel it’s not properly advertised. The staff was just great , the cleaner Happy was so kind and just calm at assisting with all we needed, Tshegofatso who helped us with the clearing of our Braai stand was also just so kind , the facility has all equipment you may need , the nature surrounding the houses is just great , we got to see some animals just upon opening our sliding door. The bedroom were just nice and dark and comfortable for sleeping, blankets were so clean and comforting 😊😊 The pool was just great , the games room was awesome , the view on the top OMG from the restaurant!!! Guys this place was just it !!

I enjoy my say definitely. From the stuff to the facility. The place was very clean. The food was very tasty. And the safety was grate.

I love everything about this place. The staff is friendly, the chalets are clean and there's plenty of activities to entertain the kids.

I liked everything about the resort. Value for money. Friendly staff. Wonderful environment. Restaurant prices affordable and nice food on the menu. Pool, surroundings and the resort as a whole is clean, garden well maintained.

We ate our own breakfast. Little improvement on making pizza and to add more other flavors. There is lots of facilities but could could not enjoy because of early closing .Bar closing too early for 19:00. 'Too early ,games rooms on Sunday also closing way too early.

The overall of the property and staff friendliness was great.

The place is beautiful and very Queit, no music it's just a peaceful place.Bar and kiosk sell at a reasonable price.

The Facility was great and tidy. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and very helpful. I loved how cheerful they were. Everything was organized. And i loved how organized the staff was and in terms of keeping us upto date with regards to loadshedding.

Visited for the first time as a possible company vacation/ retreat each year , horrible experience , loud guests next door with a massive party from 4pm to 5am the next morning , reception line closes at 10pm , other numbers did not work , one of the gents staying with us was on the patio at 2am and found an armed patrol where they agreed the other guests were out of line , complain finally layed and nothing was done , for a resort that pushes peace and quiet and so many rules about music , we chose to be conisderate and not do that , lodge does not enfore their rules and will not take responsibility , MD recieved an email about how WE did not contact them , WE did not follow the correct procedure , WE are wondering the grounds at 1am ( We were on the patio because it was impossible to sleep) , We were booked for 4 days ! we only stayed 1 night , NEVER AGAIN — and by the way no refund , even though we got confirmation from reception they would atleast refund 2 nights as we were leaving that morning

Had a horrible experience and the owners do not care , our company along with our partners went to this lodge for a quiet weekend away (possibly our new holiday destination – NOT ) , they preach about quiet and peace , turn music off at this time , quieten down from this time , call this number if there are any issues , cottage next door had a party of 20 and started from 4pm to 5am the next morning , we called numbers provided and no answer , tried everything , i was also at that time awake (5am ) having a coke as you cannot sleep , one of the armed patrols walked by and spoke to me , they agreed this was absurd and the other guests were inconsiderate , the team radio’d in to put in a complaint , heard reception acknowledge and they will send someone , nothing happened …… Next morning after absolutely no sleep the other business partners and their partners decided to leave 2 days early , the lodge apologised and said they would refund the amount……. now 2 weeks later and we get an email about how WE did not do enough , WE did not call , WE were “wondering” the grounds at 1am , absolutely no resposnibility taken by the lodge and I AM HAPPY TO SAY WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN OR RECCOMEND IT , i have also asked everyone who stayed with us to leave a review since management / owners cannot apologise or take responsibility , never mind a refund which has never come , stayed 1 night >>> DO NOT BOOK HERE < YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED management you can call me if you would like to try , you have my contact

Very disappointing visit to this Lodge. So MANY RULES ! Sleepless night with neighbours playing very loud music and talking even louder than the music, (even though the ‘Rules’ state no noise after 8pm, not even your own speakers are permitted, no respect or consideration for anyone,. Loadshedding is very affected by this resort, you can’t even contact reception or turn a light on. (they give you a lamp). Then there’s armed guards patrolling around the units with weapons at 1am looking for poachers ?? Not to mention all the flies in the unit. No personal service or communication, don’t waste your time or money! Even after checking out 2 days early (12 hours after checking) all the promises in the World to make it up to me. Still Nothing.

We Stayed there for 3 night 🌙.the place is very Beautiful 😍 and it’s peaceful place to be.Very queit no Music Bar and Kiosk sell at reasonable prices,stuff is friendly, crocodile tour was Brilliant plus Game drive was Great 👍 👌 Everything was just great 👍 It’s was a real Monateng

It’s was a real Monateng

We had a great time there at Monateng. Family of 13 with pensioners and kids and babies. I read alot of reviews beforehand that spoke about flies and how bad it was that i took a 6pack of mortein with bit only ended up using a bit of the 1 can because the fly issue wasnt as bad as i was expecting as reading all the reviews. I guess the steps the property took against the problem had worked. It was a very relaxing 4 days there because the cell signal was so bad we had a chance to really connect personally with each other. The property also had a generator providing power to the chalets during load shedding. Amenities were great and very well looked after and chalets were also to our liking. Definately a good place to go that is close to JHB for a getaway.
