P&O Cruises will air the final TV advert of a four-part series from today (October 13).
The advert â called F amily and the Fjords â features singer-songwriter Sam Fenderâs track Getting Started and the Abta logo at the end.
It was filmed on the lineâs newest ship, Iona , in Stavanger and Olden, both Norway.
P&O Cruises confirmed this will be the final advert in the Holidays As Varied As You series.
Agents can access the advert via the line’s asset bank website and use it across their individual marketing channels.
Previous ads in the series included A Night At Sea , The Big Kid and Old Friends, New Places.

Each of them feature real life relationships including a married couple; a parent with their child; and two friends.
P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: âWeâre delighted that through Samâs music we can tell the story of how a P&O Cruises holiday offers guests exceptional experiences to share with their loved ones.

P &O Cruises has unveiled a new brand platform, âHoliday Like Never Beforeâ, inviting holidaymakers to rethink what they believe they know of the cruise experience and expect more of their holiday, going beyond the obvious, into the extraordinary.
Created with Pablo London, the new brand positioning recognises that when it comes to holidays, Brits are often creatures of habit, taking comfort in the familiar. The opportunity was therefore to challenge audiences to expect more from their holiday by presenting an alternative option.
The campaign celebrates the incredible amount of must see/do experiences you can get in a single cruise. From the joy of falling asleep in Marseille and waking up in Barcelona, to the pleasure of travelling by whirlpool and experiencing the Norwegian fjords from inside the fjords. To on shore activities like snorkelling with stingrays and getting closer to Mother Nature in scenic waterfalls. Demonstrating that on a P&O Cruises holiday, you might just need a bigger bucket list.
Pablo London turned to Arts & Sciencesâ Adam Hashemi to captain the TVC ship. Adamâs cinematic stylings, combined with nuanced character performances made him the perfect partner to tell this P&O Cruises holiday story. Using a combination of cinematic techniques, the team created a series of alluring, cool, interesting, and hyper-visual frozen moments. These frozen moments are all connected by a choreographed camera that takes us from the Rainforest to the sea to the ship, creating a seamless flow that makes every second count.
The film ends by cutting back through the moments as they all revert to normal speed, capturing the full energy, excitement, and emotion of the moment and leaving our audience with a clear understanding of what awaits them on a P&O Cruises holiday. Surprise, joy, pleasure, awe, appreciation, comfort, and most importantly, realisation â all frozen in time, adding a subtle humour that dials up the entertainment factor. The epic cinematic techniques included the use of 4K drone photography and a 50 camera time-slice rig, which created the slow motion âbullet timeâ effect.
P&O Cruises, VP brand, marketing and sales, Robert Scott said: âWe wanted our latest campaign to reach beyond the cruise category and really stand out from the travel pack, both in content and execution. The unique experiences you can only have on a P&O Cruises holiday are central to the Holiday Like Never Before campaign and weâre so excited to share these with an audience who may never have thought about travelling on a ship before.â
The film was shot amongst holidaymakers onboard Arvia as it journeyed across the Mediterranean, and features real P&O Cruises staff, including the aerial performers whose acrobatic acts, elaborate costumes and avant-garde storytelling light up the atrium. The on-shore elements were captured in St Lucia, a popular destination on one of P&O Cruises Caribbean itineraries.
Tim Snape, Executive Creative Director of Pablo, added: âThe challenge to change perceptions of cruising is a great place to start. The more we looked, the more we found that people who cruise for the first time, have these moments of realisation. Points in time where they realise the cruise difference, things that are completely different from any holiday theyâve ever had. From waking up somewhere new every day, to travelling by infinity pool and our idea really centres in on these moments. Weâve applied our promise of âlike never beforeâ to every aspect of our creative too from filming technique to music, so I hope the end result will stand out in the category and help change some minds.â
The through the line campaign includes national OOH, with rail site coverage that invites those travelling by train to imagine the joy of travelling by infinity pool. The roll out continues across digital, social, owned channels and PR from 1 January.

TV couple Huw and Jenny Jenkins star in a new P&O Cruises advert, that gives viewers a glimpse into the company’s Dubai and Arabian Gulf itineraries.
The spot, which debuted on TV on Monday evening (March 11th), during the ad break of ITV’s show Coronation Street, opens with Jenny getting ready to head out and asking her husband, Huw, to rush because they are going to be late. In the meantime, Huw finds some sand in his pocket, which makes him remember their Dubai & Arabian Gulf fly cruise holiday. Thus, they are seen enjoying a drive through the desert, visiting local markets and negotiating with sellers for souvenirs, doing scuba diving and watching sea turtles, visiting ancient mosques, spending time with locals, and enjoying exotic locations before returning to the cruise ship.
“The more you travel in life, the more life you have to remember,” the voiceover says at the end of the advert, which is scored by the 1992 hit single “Dreams” by Irish rock band The Cranberries, from their debut studio album, “Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?”.
According to the travel company, from the modern city of Dubai, to calls in Bahrain and Oman, these majestic fly-cruises combine winter sunshine, iconic skylines, desert dunes and atmospheric souqs to stunning effect”. The price for a cruise includes flights and transfers, food (full board), events, gym, sports deck, luxury accommodation, pools & relaxation, dance classes, spectacular entertainment and children’s clubs.

P&O reveals new TV advert
Television advert âwhat a nightâ celebrates the line's return to international sailing.
P&O Cruises has launched a new TV advertising campaign featuring a real-life couple to celebrate its return to international sailing.
The 40-second TV advert, which premiered on Monday September 13 across national broadcasting channels, features a couple recounting holiday memories from P&O Cruisesâ new ship Iona.
The advertâs launch coincides with P&O Cruisesâ new ship Iona beginning voyages to Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands on September 25. The line is also looking forward to the launch of new ship Arvia in December 2022.

Further adverts are currently being filmed that will focus on the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
Each film will feature real-life relationships and will build on P&O Cruises campaign of âHolidays as varied as youâ.
P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: âA P&O Cruises holiday is all about variety of experiences which we were keen to convey in our latest TV advertising concept. We also wanted to capture the special, intangible aspects of a holiday and the way so many of us replay memories from our holidays for many years afterwards.

P&O Cruises New TV Ad to Feature Sam Fender Track

The fourth and final episode in the P&O Cruises memories advertising campaign will air from October 13, 2022, entitled Family and the Fjords. The ad will feature Getting Started by Sam Fender and is the first time one of his tracks has been used in a major UK advertising campaign, according to a press release.
The company said that Family and the Fjords will feature a mum recounting her experiences of a multi-generational holiday with her husband, two sons and her parents. It is told through first person snapshots and the moments that make holidays live on in the memory.
Production took place in August 2022 with filming taking place onboard the Iona and on location in Stavanger and Olden, Norway.
This will be the final TV ad in the Holidays As Varied As Youâ series, with previous ads including A Night at Sea, The Big Kid and Old Friends, New Places.

P&O Cruises Captures Meaningful Moments for Big Kid Campaign
Breaking in a hero spot in Coronation Street on Christmas Day, the ad by SNAP LDN is the next instalment of the new brand campaign for P&O Cruises, capturing the collection of small, personal memories that make holidays meaningful and memorable.
Shot in the Caribbean, the spot features a daughter lovingly recounting a day with her father exploring the island of Barbados and snorkelling with a turtle. Itâs told through snapshots and the moments in-between moments that make holidays live on in the memory. Each episode in the campaign features real relationships in the hero roles, so the affection between father and daughter is authentic and heartfelt. It follows on from the first ad in the series, which saw a couple reconnecting on a night onboard a P&O Cruises ship.
Directed by Max Weiland, and produced by Connor Hollman, from Somesuch, the campaign will feature fully through the line in TV, press, social and online video.
P&O Cruises vice-president, sales, marketing & brand, Robert Scott said: "A cruise holiday offers such a wide variety of experiences with more opportunity to experience these moments that matter. We hope this film encapsulates these precious memoriesâ.
Louisa Fielding, managing partner at SNAP LDN, added: âWe love how this campaign is building with each new episode.
