Elisa is an Italian licensed tour guide , always smiling and full of energy. She moved to Paris more than twenty years ago and as soon as she discovered the city, she literally felt in love with it : today she considers herself half Italian and half parisian.

After graduating in Communication in Italy, she joined the famous French luxury brand, Hermès, where she was Customer Service manager.

Always passionate about art and history, she decided to start afresh a few years ago and become a licensed tour guide, graduating from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts). Your guide will entertain you with anecdotes, helping you to get familiar with Paris, which is widely regarded as the most beautiful city in the world. Your chauffeur-guide will point out all of the most important places in Paris, starting with the Place de la Concorde, famous for its Egyptian obelisk. $632 we paid for the above 8 hour day trip on 6th of August 2014 1. " Our driver-guide will take you to see the major monuments and sites" - Quite misleading... read on and refer to point number 3 2. "Notre Dame Cathedral (stop and free time)" 25 minutes only allowed, no time to do anything but take a few photo and then get back to the mini bus in time, didn't have any time to go inside and definitely no time to do the tower climb. 3. "Marais district, Louvre museum, Garnier's Opera, Vendôme Square, Concorde square, Champs-Elysées avenue, Arch of Triumph, Invalides" Saw them as the guide QUICKLY SPED past them, no stopping or slowing down. If you were on the wrong side of the mini bus you didn't see them at all.. Certainly no opportunity to take pictures. Don't remember Marais District even being mentioned. 4. "Lunch will be served at the restaurant "Le 58 Tour Eiffel" located the 1st floor of the Eiffel Tower. After lunch, there will be free time to visit part of the Tower" Guide took us to the 1st floor restaurant door and there we were left. The Restaurant was average at best, obviously not the guide/City-Discovery's fault. After we had finished eating there was no guide, no tour. We were just left there.... Whilst it was a good photo opportunity, having a guided tour lead us to believe we would have been given a guided tour.. 5. "then a boat cruise along the Seine from where you can admire the most beautiful monuments from a different angle" Tickets given to us at the boat that we had to meet the guide at, again the guide didn't accompany us... The boat cruise was very nice and pretty. 6. "Finally, you will have free time at Montmartre to discover the Sacré-Coeur Basilica and the artist's square, Place du Tertre." We had way tooooo much time at the Basilica, since we weren't allowed inside. and Montmartre again was only seen from a moving mini bus. Supposedly an 8 hour "guided tour". We were picked up at 8.40am from our hotel and then drove to another hotel to pick up a family. We were back at our hotel by 4pm after having dropped off another family to their hotel. TOTAL TIME WITH GUIDE CECILIA.. MAYBE 3 HOURS MAX.... Very expensive for what we got. We were only in Paris for a few days and this tour was hope of seeing the major attractions. The advertisement implies you tour all the sites. Exceptionally expensive for minimal guide time and for what we actually saw. Next day we saw another couple from USA who did the tour with us, they too were very disappointed and upset at seeing so little. My husband and I did the City-Discovery Full Day Tour of London, with Guide Mark, with a different host company but still via City-Discovery, at half the price! It was brilliant, we saw so much and the Guide stayed with us the entire time... That tour 10/10.... this one 1/10 max.

A very thoughtful and interesting tour on River seine taking in all the city sights at a slow pace taking a lot of photos all along till the grand eiffel tower starts its glittering light show around 7.15 PM

this is a must do attraction for sure. we did it on a 40 degree day. started with a bus tour to the river, then the cruise up to the Eiffel Tower where we went for lunch. The meal was beautiful and the scene's amazing. Only downside was the wait for the lift to go down, my husband walked to the top of the tower and down and walked around the bottom 3 times looking for me before I got down, was not a good experience but was still an amazing attraction.

We booked this day trip through our hotel after seeing it online and seeing how highly rated it was by trip advisor. We were confused by the brochure and info because it appeared you could only do the full day tour on Wednesdays and Sundays but we found if you request a private tour, you can go a different day. And we were so glad we asked! Our guide Andre was so pleasant and knowledgable, beginning the guided tour right after he picked us up at our hotel, even as we were driving through the city on our way out to the countryside. He was kind enough to get off the highway as soon as he could and take the country roads to Giverny that the buses can't, and that route, along with his commentary, added so much to a wonderful day outside the city. He allowed plenty of time in Giverny to do the gardens, house and museum (all the entrance fees all day for all sites are included in the trip AND you get in front of the lines by accessing a different entrance at Monet's garden for instance.). Andre even allowed time for shopping throughout the day and was very thoughtful about bathroom breaks and refreshment needs as well throughout the entire day. He never tried to rudely rush us --but informed us clearly and thoughtfully about the day's schedule so we could get in everything. The old mill where we stopped for lunch was superb. The food was delicious --all included in the day trip price--and we had interesting choices off the menu. It was the best meal we have ever had in France, and we have enjoyed many meals in France! Wine was included as well with the four courses. Again, Andre made the trip so great by adding fun info about the towns, artists, history etc. He was very enthusiastic and hosted us kindly all day long doing his best to make it a memorable, educational experience --which is EXACTLY what we had hoped for. If you spend the money for a private full day trip, you don't want to be disappointed and we were definitely NOT disappointed. This trip far exceeded our high expectations because of the professional guide, Andre, wonderful meal, and the beauty of the villages and gardens and countryside we visited. (Andre was also a very safe driver, which we appreciated as well--and he drove back home through the city the long way to give us a highlighted city tour of the main sites as well---another unexpected bonus!!! ) We felt we had THREE guided tours: Giverny, Auvers Sur Oise, AND some city sites as well. This trip was the highlight of our stay in Paris, and if you want to do a full day trip with a private tour--you should request Andre to make certain your expectations are met. We booked the bus tour with beat the queue Eiffel Tower tickets, the bus tour was very informative with commentary & music, we saw all the main sights apart from the sacre coeur. The tour lasted about an hour & a half then ended at the Eiffel Tower, the beat the queue tickets are a must as it's crazy busy ! We got to the starting point 30 minutes before the tour began & this was a result as we were 1st on the bus & went upstairs to get the front 4 seats with great views. Ultimately a great trip to get acquainted with Paris.

We did three separate tours with this company. 1. Dinner at the Eiffel Tower, Seine Cruise, Moulin Rouge Show: we had to be at the meeting point and checked in by 5.45 pm so that we could leave at 6 pm. We didn't end up getting to the Eiffel Tower until 7 pm and the up to the restaurant by 7.20 pm. Then we had to rush our 3 course meal (which was nice) to be down at the cruise meeting point at 8.30 pm which we were told it takes about 20 min to get down the tower via lift and approx 10 min walking. The cruise was nice and they have a commentary in all languages that you can listen to as it explains what you are going past, not to mention a gorgeous view of notre dame at sunset. Then to the moulin rouge which is a must see, the only thing was that we were seated so far to the side in our allocated group seating that we at times couldn't see some of the performance. The on the way home the man on our bus told us that it was tradition/custom to tip the bus driver. I have done a few calculations, €245 for the evening per person. From some research I got the following: dinner at tour eiffel 58 €80, cruise €14 and the moulin rouge $112. We felt that it was not necessary to imply that this was expected of us which this had already been an expensive evening and not to mention all the driver had done was drive, no guidance or information from him. 2. City tour & Skip-the-Line Eiffel Tower: we booked this purely to go up the Eiffel Tower with no line through a travel agent not even realising that there was a city tour attached to it. €52 for this, only €9 to get up the tower. So if you just want to go up the tower I suggest doing this on your own - get up early to avoid the que. The city tour is all from a bus and they have a pre-recorded voice over for you to listen to in all languages. We had seen all these places just from wandering the streets if paris.
