Power Trip tickets go on sale today, here's what you need to know

power trip vip package

Ready to bang your head at the Power Trip festival in October? The day has come to buy tickets for the fall festival.

The festival, which features a lineup of hard rock legends Guns N' Roses, AC/DC and Metallica, will be held Oct. 6-8 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, home of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Here's what you need to know.

When and where can I buy tickets?

Tickets for the festival go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday at powertrip.live . Hotel and VIP packages are already availale. Fans can register now at that website to "access tickets" then. The website says tickets will initially be available only to those who register.

What artists have been announced?

Friday, Oct. 6

Guns N' Roses

Iron Maiden

Saturday, Oct. 7

Ozzy Osbourne

Sunday, Oct. 8

It was not immediately clear if the announced bands constitute the entire lineup or if other additions were still to be announced. However, a lineup consisting of two bands each night would mirror that of Desert Trip, the 2016 classic rock festival held at Empire Polo Club in 2016 that Power Trip's name seems to be a clear nod to.

Is this going to break the bank?

As anyone who has been to Coachella or Stagecoach surely expected, attending the festival won't come cheap and will require buying a wristband covering all three days. In fact, getting into the event will cost more than going to Coachella, according to ticket prices posted online.

The cheapest general admission wristbands, which include access to the festival and parking lot, are $649. For comparison, that's $21 more than the similar general admission wristband for Weekend 2 of Coachella currently being sold on that festival's website.

Unlike the annual Empire Polo Club festivals, Power Trip will have specific floor, grandstand and pit areas. A wristband with reserved floor seating starts at about $875 while those for the pit begin at $1,750. Those passes also offer access to two "lounge areas" of the festival, although the website explains the lounge won't have a view of the stage.

The festival is also selling several VIP packages that include access to the lounge areas, as well as VIP merchandise. The starting price for those packages is $1,749 to $2,999. VIP packages for Coachella currently start at $1,199.

As with the other festivals, camping will be available on site. A car camping spot starts at $234.87 for the weekend, while the cheapest RV spot goes for $1,404.87.

Have any of the Power Trip artists played Coachella?

Even though the lineup features metal, most of the bands have performed at Coachella in previous years.

Tool performed at the first Coachella in 1999 and again as headliners in 2006. Frontman Maynard James Keenan has also performed at the festival with his side projects Puscifer in 2013 and A Perfect Circle in 2018.

AC/DC’s 2015 headlining performances came with some baggage. Co-founder and guitarist Malcolm Young officially left the band due to receive treatment for dementia, which was the cause of his death two years later. Drummer Phil Rudd was charged with possession of methamphetamine and cannabis a few months earlier and was replaced by Chris Slade.

Still, the Australian rock band won the crowd over. Horned-hands were thrown in the air, heads were banged, and the crowd shouted at all the right times.

When Guns N’ Roses headlined in 2016, it was the first time the reunited lineup featuring frontman Axl Rose with guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan performed at an outdoor festival together in 23 years.

The band played an epic two-and-a-half hour set both weekends, and Rose was forced to perform while seated in a throne loaned to him by Dave Grohl due to a broken foot.

Axl Rose also came out as a special guest during Carrie Underwood's 2022 Stagecoach headlining set.

Get ready to rock.

Power Trip, Goldenvoice's first all-metal festival in the desert, runs Oct. 6 through 8 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Like the promoter's 2016 rock festival Desert Trip, this event is being billed as a once-in-a-lifetime lineup featuring many of the world's most iconic metal musicians.

From where to park to where to pregame, the Desert Sun has all the info you need to prepare for your experience.

Getting there (and home)

More: Power Trip: Insider tips on how get to the festival, parking and camping

What's the best route to take?  Primary routes to the polo club include Washington, Monroe and Jefferson streets between Interstate 10 and Avenue 52, along with Highway 111 at Jefferson and Monroe. These streets have all historically been hard to access during festival weekends, so expect traffic.

What if you don't want to drive yourself?  Prefer a Lyft or Uber? No problem. There will be a rideshare stand operating on Avenue 49 and Monroe Street. Follow the yellow path in and out of the event for access. The highest wait times are expected between midnight and 2:30 a.m. each night.

There's also a designated friends and family drop off area in Lot 13 located at Avenue 52 and Madison Street.

Traveling on foot or bicycle? The site will be accessible at the following intersections:

  • Avenue 50 and Madison Street
  • Avenue 52 and Madison Street
  • Avenue 49 and Monroe Street
  • Avenue 52 and Monroe Street

What about parking?

Day parking is free at Power Trip, and parking lots will open each day at noon, with availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the lots are full, passholders will be directed to a nearby free park-and-ride location. Arrive early to avoid delays. Each passenger in your vehicle must be wearing an event wristband.

But now for the bad news. Don't expect to relive the glory days of the 1986 documentary "Heavy Metal Parking Lot." Tailgating is not permitted, along with RVs, golf carts, car camping and sleeping in your car overnight. Cars left after 2 a.m. will be towed.

ADA parking and other services are available. More information is available at powertrip.live/ada . Motorcycles may park in ADA parking lot.

What to bring to the polo fields

Anyone who's landed at the Empire Polo Club grounds during festival season knows just how dirty you can get. Yes, I know you want to wear a cute outfit, but desert dirt is relentless, so reconsider wearing anything white, and be ready to clean yourself up if you want a squeaky clean Instagram pic.

Don't forget the following (and pack it in a bag  no larger than 18"x 13"x 8.5" ):

  • A bandana  — Great for swiping sweat away, cooling off when dipped in water and keeping dust out of your mouth and nose when used like a mask.
  • Sunglasses  — Hopefully this is a no-brainer, but if not, you'll thank me later. A hat might be helpful too.
  • Plenty of sunscreen  — Nobody can escape the desert heat at Coachella, so pack your best SPF protection, as long as it's not in an aerosol can (which security will make you throw away upon entrance).
  • Wipes  — Body wipes, facial wipes, all of the above; they're your best friend when it comes to wiping the unforgiving desert dust off your body.
  • An empty plastic water bottle  — Again, the heat is no joke and nothing ruins a festival day like getting dangerously dehydrated. Fill up for free at various water stands, which all offer twice filtered water.
  • Ibuprofen  — For your friend who doesn't listen to you and opts for all beer and no water, or for yourself and your aching feet after standing for hours on end. Just make sure it's in its original container and not a baggie.
  • A jacket or sweatshirt  — You won't need it during the day, but you'll thank us when the sun goes down and the temperature drops.
  • A non-professional digital, disposable or Polaroid camera — You want to remember every moment, but DSLR and other cameras with a detachable lens aren't allowed, so this is the next best thing (other than your phone of course).

What NOT to bring to the polo fields

What items are prohibited?  To keep everyone safe, there is a  long list of prohibited items on the festival's website , but the items you might not realize are prohibited are the following:

  • Flyers, samples, giveaways or promotional items
  • Any camera (including DSLRs) with a detachable lens
  • Selfie sticks or tripods of any kind
  • Metal or glass water bottles
  • Umbrellas (although parasols, aka umbrella-like shade protectors made of paper and light wood, are allowed)
  • Discriminative or appropriative Items
  • Divisive symbols or appropriative Imagery

Inclusion and accessiblity

  • Bathrooms: Gender-neutral restrooms will be available and may be used by any person regardless of gender identity or expression
  • Medical services: Medical stations will be clearly visible at the show and marked on the event maps.
  • Prescriptions: All prescriptions must be in properly labeled containers that match the holder’s ID (no pillboxes).
  • Strollers: Strollers are allowed in the venue but only if they're for an infant or toddler (all ages are welcome at the event, and those 2 and under are free), and wagons aren't allowed
  • Breast feeding: Need a place to pump and store? B.Y.O.P. (Bring Your Own Pump) to select medical tents for an exclusive pumping and feeding space. All locations will have power for electric pumps as well as washing stations (non-potable water) with soap and sanitizing wipes. Refrigeration capabilities will be available in select medical tents in venue and in camping. (Exact refrigeration locations to be shared closer to the show, please check back.)

How should I plan my day?

Those planning their metal music-filled days at Power Trip got some help Tuesday when the official set times for the festival dropped.

The set times are as follows:

  • Friday, Oct. 6:  Iron Maiden at 6:45 p.m., Guns N' Roses at 9:25 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 7:  Judas Priest at 6:45 p.m., AC/DC at 9:25 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 8:  Tool at 6:55 p.m., Metallica at 9:35 p.m.

"No conflicts, all POWER. Get ready to bring the noise to Indio," the official Power Trip account wrote on Instagram. Attendees are encouraged to download the festival app and set schedule reminders so they "don't miss a riff."

What if I want to keep the party going after the music stops?

Although no official pre or post-event parties have been announced, there are several bars and restaurants you can hit up before arriving at or after leaving the polo grounds for the day. Here's a few of our favorites in the area:

For the perfect pregame: Coachella Bar

Hours: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily

Location: 85-995 Grapefruit Blvd., Coachella

Coachella Bar looks modest from outside, but don't judge this east valley establishment by its exterior. What makes it distinctive is its community room-meets-old-tavern atmosphere. Locals have enjoy games of shuffleboard and Jenga on regular nights and rock or metal bands during some weekends. "We want to make sure everyone feels welcome," owner Nick Meza told The Desert Sun in 2019 .

More: Power Trip 2023: Indio must-eat spots for burgers, pizza, sandwiches and more

For late-night fun: Neil's Lounge

Hours: 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily

Location: 80-956 Highway 111, Indio

This western-style saloon located three miles away from the Empire Polo Fields has a tough exterior and a checkered past, but it's a popular hangout after the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals and celebrity couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been spotted there in the past. It's also known for its laid-back atmosphere and fair prices on beer and cocktails.

For after party beers and snacks: The Beer Hunter

Hours: 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily

Location: 78-483 Highway 111, La Quinta

Website: thebeerhunter.com

If it's beer you seek, look no further. The Beer Hunter has more beer on tap, in bottles and cans than you can think of. This sports bar and grill also has plenty of cocktails and food.

Power Trip: Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Metallica to headline October festival. What you need to know

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Get ready to bang your heads. The metal festival Power Trip is officially a go, with a lineup that includes hardrock legends Guns N' Roses, AC/DC and Metallica. The festival will be held Oct. 6-8 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, home of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

The official announcement of the festival, which was made on Twitter Thursday morning, came after a teaser video popped up on social media Tuesday hinting at a metal music event in the desert (complete with rocker cacti). The video sent viewers to a website that invited them to sign up for updates from Goldenvoice.

What artists have been announced?

Friday, Oct. 6

Guns N' Roses

Iron Maiden

Saturday, Oct. 7

Ozzy Osbourne

Sunday, Oct. 8

It was not immediately clear if the announced bands constitute the entire lineup or if other additions were still to be announced. When and where can I buy tickets?

Tickets for the festival go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 6 at powertrip.live . But hotel and VIP packages will be available starting at 10 a.m. April 4. Fans can register now at that website to "access tickets" then. The website says tickets will initially be available only to those who register.

As with the other festivals, camping will be available on site. A car camping spot starts at $234.87 for the weekend, while the cheapest RV spot goes for $1,404.87.

Has this ever been done before?

Although the polo fields are best known for the hordes of flower crown-wearing 20-somethings who descend in force in April and the country-loving cowboys who follow them, the venue has hosted a big-time metal event featuring Metallica before. In 2011, the band headlined a stop on the intercontinental "Big 4" tour held at the polo grounds, which also featured Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax. That event was held between the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals.

However, Power Trip's structure and strategy is more remniscent of potentially the most iconic music event in Coachella Valley history: Desert Trip.

For two October 2016 weekends at the Empire Polo Club, Desert Trip festival featured a once-in-a-lifetime lineup of Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, The Who and Roger Waters — literal legends responsible for the songs that have made up the soundtracks of so many lives.

Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, Iron Maiden among headliners at new Power Trip music festival

power trip vip package

Power Trip, the newest music festival coming in October to the home of Coachella and Stagecoach, could have been named the Headbangers Ball.

But its name harkens back to the Desert Trip festival , which in October 2016 featured the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and other rock legends over two weekends.

This new festival, to be held Oct. 6-8 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, is meant to deliver a heavier dose of rock with its lineup of Guns N' Roses and Iron Maiden on Friday (Oct. 6), AC/DC and Ozzy Osbourne on Saturday (Oct. 7), and Metallica and Tool on Sunday (Oct. 8).

You can register on the festival website  for access to tickets, which go on sale April 6 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. General admission tickets for the three-day fest start at $599 plus fees. Hotel packages (with two tickets, starting at about $3,200) and VIP packages (starting at $1,599) will go on sale April 4 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.

Music festival lineups 2023: Lollapalooza, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Summerfest and more

Power Trip: Everything you need to know about music festival featuring Metallica, Iron Maiden and more

Power Trip would mark returns of Ozzy Osbourne, Brian Johnson

The festival marks the return of AC/DC with frontman Brian Johnson , who had to leave the band's tour in 2016 because of hearing loss. Guns N' Roses' Axl Rose filled in on the rest of the band's dates.

Johnson rejoined the band for its 2020 album, "Power Up," with the help of some special hearing aid technology. He also performed at the Sept. 3, 2022 tribute concert for Foo Fighters' drummer Taylor Hawkins .

Ozzy Osbourne's inclusion on the bill is a bit of a surprise because earlier this year he canceled tour dates  in the U.K. and continental Europe saying spine damage he suffered in an accident four years ago prevented him from touring. The former Black Sabbath singer announced in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a nervous system disorder that affects movement.

Metallica begins a world tour on April 27 in Amsterdam and has a new album "72 Seasons" due out April 14. After announcing his  retirement from touring  back in February, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ozzy Osbourne has recently expressed his desire to still perform at some capacity in the future. Commercially, Ozzy is enjoying the fruits of his widely successful album  Patient No. 9 . He won two GRAMMY® Awards at the 65th annual event in Los Angeles last month. He took home the hardware for Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Album. It marked the metal legend’s first solo GRAMMY® win since 1994 when he won Best Metal Performance for “I Don’t Wanna Change the World ( Live & Loud ).

“I’m one lucky motherfucker to have won the Best Rock Album Grammy,” the now a five-time GRAMMY® Award winner exclaimed. “I was blessed to work with some of the greatest musicians in the world and Andrew Watt as my producer on this album. Winning the Best Metal Performance was equally gratifying being that the song featured my longtime friend and Black Sabbath bandmate, Tony Iommi.”

Metallica’s upcoming eleventh studio LP  72 Seasons  arrives on April 14 via the band’s own Blackened Recordings. Produced by Greg Fidelman with frontman James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, and clocking in at over 77 minutes, the 12-track  72 Seasons  is Metallica’s first full length collection of new material since 2016’s  Hardwired…To Self-Destruct . The album will be released in formats including 2LP 140-gram black vinyl and limited edition variants, CD and digital download.

Additionally, Metallica are  returning to the road  this summer. The band previously announced their M72 Word Tour which will see the band perform back-to-back nights at each stop with no repeat performances. In each city, special guests on Night One will be Pantera and Mammoth WVH. Five Finger Death Punch and Ice Nine Kills will serve as support on Night 2. Tickets are on sale now  HERE .

Iron Maiden brought their Legacy of the Beast Tour back to North American last year for another massive run. The band’s latest album  Senjutsu  arrived in 2021. The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock and Top Hard Rock Albums charts.

In 2020, AC/DC released their seventeenth studio album  Power Up . The record peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and topped the charts in several other countries around the world. Once again, Angus and Malcolm Young’s nephew Stevie Young, who took over rhythm guitar duties for Malcolm after his passing in 2017. AC/DC have not toured since their Rock or Bust trek wrapped up in 2016.

Tool have a number of festival appearances slated for 2022, including a headlining slot at Aftershock. Last summer, they released their GRAMMY®-Award winning fifth album  Fear Inoculum  as a new black vinyl set via RCA Records. The 3-disc 180 gram set on black vinyl features new artwork by guitarist Adam Jones. It comes in a triple gatefold jacket and an exclusive 12″ x 36″ double-sided poster. Last March, Tool released a re-imagined version of “Opiate,” the title track from their first EP. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of their first commercially-available release, the band re-worked and extended the song –  “Opiate 2 “  – with an accompanying short film.

Guns N’ Roses are embarking on a massive world tour this summer. The North American leg runs through October 16m making stops in Boston, Chicago, Nashville, Charlotte, Vancouver, and more. The band is also returning to Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania for the first U.S. show of the tour. They previously kicked off their We’re F’N Back! Tour there back in 2021. Revisit our review and live photos from the show  HERE .

Last year, Guns N’ Roses came out with a a new EP  Hard Skool . The record was released nearly a year ago on February 25, 2022. It was the first time in 28 years that vocalist Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, and bassist Duff McKagan collaborated together on new material together.

The trio was accompanied on the new studio effort by the current members of the GNR lineup, which is completed by guitarist Richard Fortus and drummer Frank Ferrer, as well as keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese. The EP featured live recordings of the band’s ‘91 power ballad “Don’t Cry” and “You’re Crazy” from their seminal debut LP  Appetite For Destruction .

Released back in August of 2021, the single “Absurd “ was the first new Guns N’ Roses song in 13 years.

Fresh off their  50th anniversary celebrations , Judas Priest are reportedly working on music for the follow-up to their acclaimed 2018 album  Firepower . The record is the band’s biggest commercial success, charting at No. 5 on the UK Albums Chart and Billboard 200 as well as hitting No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart. After delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Judas Priest toured relentlessly to celebrate the success of Firepower and the band’s five decades of heavy metal.

Here Are Power Trip Festival Set Times For 2023

Lexi Lane

Power Trip Festival is kicking off for 2023 this weekend, as fans flock to Indio, California’s Empire Polo Club for a rocking three-day lineup. While there’s only six acts, they are some serious heavy-hitters in rock music — so it is sure to be an experience.

On Friday, October 6, Iron Maiden starts playing at 6:45 p.m. and will be followed by Guns N’ Roses at 9:25. It’s unclear when the sets actually finish or how late the festival will go, but they are likely sharing the same stage.

Saturday (October 7) follows a similar format, as Judas Priest will open at 6:45, and AC/DC close the night out at 9:25.

Finally, Sunday (October 8) changes things up for the last festival day. Tool will go on at 6:55 p.m.. With the set times pushed back by ten minutes, Metallica will be the closing act at 9:35 p.m..

The venue itself will open the doors at 4 p.m. each day, giving attendees a chance to get as close as possible by arriving early. 3-day General Admission passes are still available for purchase, running $599 + fees. There are also options for reserved floor and grandstand seats, a 3-day “The Pit” option, and VIP packages, with more information on all available through Power Trip Festival’s website.

power trip vip package

Usher has added a second date at Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix as part of the Usher: Past Present Future Tour.

A day after bringing the house down at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas with the elaborately choreographed, star-studded hit parade that was his Super Bowl 2024 halftime show, the R&B icon announced that he was adding downtown Phoenix to the tour with a Footprint Center concert on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024.

A day after that first announcement broke, a second Footprint Center date has been added for Sunday, Nov. 24, due to overwhelming demand.

The tour is in support of "Coming Home," an album he dropped Friday, days before his headlining performance at the Super Bowl.

He announced 24 cities last week in the leadup to the game. The additional dates were added due to "incredible fan demand," according to a press release. The R&B legend ended his sold-out residency in Las Vegas in December after 100 shows.

This is Usher's first metro Phoenix concert in 14 years

It's been a decade since Usher's last tour, The UR Experience, which ran from 2014 to 2015.

Delivered with a level of passion and soul equal to the legendary sonic charge of his guitar, the sound of Carlos Santana is one of the world’s best-known musical signatures. For more than five decades—from Santana’s earliest days as a groundbreaking Afro-Latin-blues-rock fusion outfit in San Francisco—Carlos has been the visionary force behind artistry that transcends musical genres and generational, cultural, and geographical boundaries. Most recently, CARLOS, the feature documentary directed by Rudy Valdez and produced by Imagine Documentaries and Sony Music Entertainment celebrating the music icon’s life and career, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and was released worldwide.

Counting Crows have enchanted listeners worldwide for more than two decades with their intensely soulful and intricate take on timeless rock & roll. Exploding onto the music scene in 1993 with their multi-platinum breakout album, August and Everything After, the band has gone on to release seven studio albums, selling more than 20 million records worldwide, and is revered as one of the world’s most pre-eminent live touring rock bands.

About Carlos Santana:

For more than five decades – from Santana’s earliest days as a groundbreaking Afro-Latin-blues-rock fusion outfit in San Francisco – Carlos Santana has been the visionary force behind artistry that transcends musical genres and generational, cultural, and geographical boundaries. To date, Santana has won ten GRAMMY Awards and three Latin GRAMMY Awards, with a record-tying nine GRAMMY Awards for a single project for 1999’s Supernatural (including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for “Smooth”). He has received the Billboard Century Award (1996), was ushered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1998), received the Billboard Latin Music Awards’ Lifetime Achievement honor (2009), and was the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors Award (2013). Among many other distinctions, Carlos Santana has been cited by Rolling Stone as #11 on their list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time;” and has joined the Rolling Stones as one of only two bands to have an album reach the Top 10 in every decade since the 1960s. In 2018, he released his first MasterClass, and celebrated two epic milestones the 50th anniversary of his legendary performance at Woodstock, and the 50th anniversary of his masterpiece Abraxas . This year he celebrates the 25 th anniversary of his groundbreaking album Supernatural. Santana’s most recent release, “Let The Guitar Play” (Feat. Darryl “DMC” McDaniels) , follows on the heels of his powerful, energy-infused Blessings and Miracles (2021) that features collaborations with Rob Thomas, Chris Stapleton, Steve Winwood, and many others. The epic feature documentary CARLOS , produced by Sony Music Entertainment and Imagine Documentaries, is a celebration of Carlos Santana’s life and career. It had its World Premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival and is now available to stream worldwide. Santana has been in residency in Las Vegas for over 15 years and will continue to perform at House of Blues Las Vegas where he recently celebrated his 10th anniversary in the intimate venue. About Counting Crows:

For more than two decades, the GRAMMY and Academy Award-nominated rock band Counting Crows have enchanted listeners worldwide with their intensely soulful and intricate take on timeless rock & roll. Exploding onto the music scene in 1993 with their multi-platinum breakout album, August and Everything After, the band has gone on to release seven studio albums, selling more than 20 million records worldwide, and is revered as one of the world’s most pre-eminent live touring rock bands.

In October 1996, the band’s double-platinum sophomore studio album, Recovering the Satellites , debuted at number one and further solidified their growing reputation as one of the leading American alternative rock bands in the world. A follow-up to their early success, Counting Crows went on to release This Desert Life (1999), Hard Candy (2002), Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings (2008), Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did on Our Summer Vacation) (2012), Echoes of the Outlaw Roadshow (2013) and Somewhere Under Wonderland (2014.)  In 2004, Counting Crows recorded the chart-topping “Accidentally in Love” for the animated motion picture Shrek 2. The instant success of the track earned them an Academy Award nomination for “Best Original Song” at the 2005 Academy Awards, a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Original Song” and a GRAMMY Award nomination for “Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.”

In September 2014, Counting Crows released their critically acclaimed seventh studio album, Somewhere Under Wonderland , which debuted at No. 10 on the charts and was heralded by The Daily Telegraph as “… the best collection of songs since their debut.” The album consisted of nine sprawling tracks around rich sonic tapestries, which yielded some of the most grandiose yet intimate songs Counting Crows had recorded to date. 2018 marked 25 years since the band’s inception and sent Adam Duritz, Jim Bogios, David Bryson, Charlie Gillingham, David Immergluck, Millard Powers, and Dan Vickrey back on the road for the “25 YEARS AND COUNTING” tour. In 2021, Counting Crows ranked #8 on Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time: Adult Alternative Artists” 25 th- anniversary chart.

After seven years, Adam Duritz and Counting Crows released Butter Miracle: Suite One in May 2021 to rave reviews. The band also kicked off their first tour since 2018, “The Butter Miracle Tour,” from 2021 through 2023, with sell-out performances across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
