Taylor Swift Concert Movies: What to Watch While You Wait for the Eras Tour
If you’re a disappointed Aussie Swiftie, it’s worth remembering that Taylor Swift has many other concert movies and specials you can watch while you wait, and we’ve broken down where you can see them below.
Where to watch all of Taylor Swift’s concert movies
Taylor Swift: Journey to Fearless
Taylor Swift’s first headline tour in 2009 was for her second album, Fearless. This also marked the release of her first concert movie – a series of 3 episodes titled Journey to Fearless that tracked Swift’s rise to fame. After airing on TV, the documentary came to DVD and Blu-Ray in 2011. This remains the only way to watch Journey to Fearless, but if you’re lucky, there are still some DVDs floating around out there that you can snap up on marketplaces.
Taylor Swift: Speak Now World Tour Live
Following the Fearless tour came Speak Now. Speak Now World Tour – Live was Swift’s first live album and was released in 2011. As was so common in those days, the release of the CD came with an additional DVD that featured live recordings of Swift performing songs on the tour, as well as behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage.
You can actually still buy the CD/DVD combo of Speak Now World Tour – Live at Sanity in Australia if you’re keen to revisit that era.
Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour
Skip forward a few years, and Taylor Swift’s next concert movie comes in the form of the Reputation Stadium Tour, which was also her last tour prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Filming of the performance took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and the Reputation Stadium Tour concert movie was subsequently released on Netflix.
Miss Americana
While not strictly a concert movie per se, Miss Americana is a documentary that follows Taylor Swift over the course of several years of her career, including the Reputation Tour, up until the release of Lover . The documentary was released to critical acclaim in 2020.
Miss Americana is available to stream on Netflix.
Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions
Taylor Swift directed and starred in this documentary of the recording of her eighth studio album, Folklore . The film takes an in-depth look at the creative process behind the songs, including the collaboration between Swift, Aaron Dressner and Jack Antonoff. It was filmed at Long Pond Studio in Hudson Valley, New York.
Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions can be streamed on Disney+
These are, in fact, not the only concert movies Taylor Swift has released, but they are the only ones available to watch right now.
The 1989 World Tour Live movie was famously recorded at ANZ Stadium in Sydney! But unfortunately, after being released initially on Apple Music, it has since been pulled down. If you go looking on YouTube, however, you can still find it in full.
Swift also performed at an intimate concert in Paris, France, in September 2019 for the City of Lover Concert , which was filmed and released as a TV special in the US. That one hasn’t been released on streaming since, unfortunately.
Can you watch the Eras Tour Concert movie in Australia?
Right now, the Eras Tour concert film only has a release date in the U.S. (which is October 13).
I’m willing to bet that, similar to the Eras tour itself, the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Concert Film will be released in more markets in the future, particularly as the tour begins to hit the international road. Perhaps we’ll see it released in Australia after February next year, once Swift has completed her concerts here .

You don’t have to be a Swiftie to love Taylor Swift. The Eras tour movie premiere proves it

Swarms of Swifties descended on the AMC Grove 14 for the premiere of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” concert film on Wednesday, an event so insanely anticipated that those of us lucky enough to be on the invite list were informed of its location mere hours before showtime.
Security was tight, with the swanky outdoor mall transformed into a maze of portable hedges over which helicopters hovered — loud enough to drown out the Swift songs playing on the sound system.
But not the screams of the Swifties as they encountered one another, learned of their idol’s arrival via TikTok or saw her posing on the red carpet that snaked past Coach and Barnes and Noble.
Seeing the girls with hand-to-elbow wristbands, sparkly cowboy boots and matching gold fringe dresses as I entered the theater, I confess I felt something of a fraud.
I am not a Swiftie.
It could be age or excessive exposure to elementary-school talent-show renditions of “Love Story” and “You Belong with Me.” Or perhaps I, like the Grinch, simply have a heart two sizes too small. Whatever the reason, I would no more pay hundreds, never mind thousands, of dollars to see an Eras tour concert than I would shell out for Manolos or hire sherpas to pull me up Mt. Everest.
(I have just been told, by the resident 17-year-old who is reading over my shoulder, that anyone who does not appreciate the glory that is “Love Story” must be, in fact, heartless.)
I was, however, very much looking forward to seeing Swift’s new concert movie .
Not, perhaps, as much as the woman who sobbed to cameras outside the parking structure about how she has been living for this because Swift means so much to her.
Or the hundreds of fans who lined the red-carpeted main thoroughfare of the Grove, straining for a sight of their idol.
Or even Grove owner Rick Caruso, who strolled among the crowds immediately outside the theater, mayor of all he could see.
Still, I have been known to sing along to “Mean” with my daughters on the way to soccer games or do a little “Shake It Off” twist. And I was very happy for Kansas City when Swift decided to date one of its football stars.
Proof that you don’t have to be a Swiftie to understand why so many others are.
You don’t have to be instantly transported by her every song like so many appear to be at her sold-out concerts. To admire the many stands she has taken (including calling out Scooter Braun long before everyone else fired him ) or appreciate the outsize role she plays in the culture of female and artist empowerment.
A love of fringe dresses is not required to respect her work registering voters or as an LGBTQ activist . Even those not panting for the upcoming re-release of “1989” (which is predicted to be her biggest sales week ever) can applaud her decision to re-record her old albums so she would finally own her work, or to hand out $55 million in bonuses to crew members, including truckers . I don’t own a friendship bracelet but I still bow before her ability to boost local economies and inspire childlike awe from the NFL .

Column: My son told me Kansas City was on the rise. Taylor Swift just proved him right
Since Swift was spotted watching Travis Kelce at Sunday’s Chiefs game, many have wondered what it means for the NFL. But what about Kansas City?
Sept. 28, 2023
Even at the world premiere she was putting in the work — and not just on the red carpet. As the 7 p.m. showtime pushed well past eight, folks were starting to fidget. Until Swift sashayed into the room, at least: Just to say hi, give a shout out to her dancers (some of whom were in the audience) and thank everyone for coming. In each of the AMC Grove’s 14 theaters.
This is a woman who takes her work, her success and herself seriously. And even now that is a rare and wonderful thing to behold.
At 33, she has never abandoned her young followers or voiced, as other young stars have, a desire to move past her established fan base. Her music may have matured, but she remains committed to songs about love and the struggle for identity. She has appeared in movies and TV shows, but does not aspire to be a movie or TV star. And though she is slated to make her feature writing/directing debut for Searchlight — a logical next step after helming her own music videos — it’s with the Eras tour, a journey through her own musical history, that she has established herself as one of the most popular and powerful performers of all time.
More than anything, Taylor Swift values what she does and takes pleasure in doing it well — which has made her a beacon for everyone who wants to feel the same.
It wasn’t easy. White, blond, tall and thin, her looks have worked, as is so often the case with female artists, for and against her. Easily loved and easily dismissed, she benefited from being seen as “the girl next door,” and was simultaneously saddled with a trope traditionally reserved for white women. In 2009, when Kanye West hijacked her acceptance speech for the MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video of the Year, she found herself, at 19, in the center of an acrimonious conversation about race in the music industry, portrayed, at best, as a victim and, at worst, a symptom of a larger problem.
Over the years, Swift has been mocked for the often autobiographical nature of her songs — when not alluding to bad behavior by old beaux, she often pushed back against critics and producers. Her deft use of social media, the ultimate marketing tool of the 21st century, was seen as either canny or manipulative. (Um, it’s marketing.)
But her habit of standing up for herself was not limited to lyrics. In 2013, after a Colorado DJ groped her during a photo op, Swift, then 23, reported it and the DJ was fired. When, two years later, he sued her for defamation, Swift countersued for battery and assault and won.
Then, in 2015, she spoke out against Apple not paying writers, artists and producers during the free three-month trial of their new music service. Some saw her as a champion, others as a spoiled millionaire star. Either way Apple began paying for the music.
And in 2019, Swift’s battle against mega-producer Braun and the equity company that helped him acquire Big Machine Label, which owned much of her work, exposed problems that were discussed in the halls of Congress .
Not surprisingly, being the center of such wildly vacillating public opinion took its toll. When Donald Trump became president in 2016, Swift was excoriated by some for campaigning on behalf of Hilary Clinton. Lana Wilson’s 2020 documentary “Miss Americana” captures the isolation of an artist who literally cannot leave her home without stirring up an anthill of fans (some of whom are more predatory than others) as she decides, against the advice of everyone in the room, that it’s time to use her voice politically.
So the screaming fans and sold-out concerts really aren’t a surprise, any more than rapturous singing-and-dancing-in-the-aisles reception the concert film received at its premiere.
In culture increasingly bereft of role models, Swift, whose biggest scandal to date involved the overuse of her private jet, is a genuinely aspirational figure. Even the nightmare many fans faced over getting Eras tickets forced local and national politicians to begin looking into Ticketmaster’s exorbitant fees.
Like her music or hate it, Taylor Swift has raised a generation of fans to take themselves seriously and fight for what they believe in.
And you know what? “Love Story” and “You Should Be With Me” are damn good songs.
Maybe there’s more than one way to be a Swiftie after all.

Are you ready for it?
Several IndieWire staffers met up Friday night for what was supposed to be opening night of “ Taylor Swift : The Eras Tour” at a NYC theater. Anticipation? High. Energy level? Even higher. Drinks consumed? Unprecedented.
It was a night filled with friendship bracelets, light up Taylor glow sticks (more on that later), and at least one homemade Taylor T-shirt. All to be expected. But as the self-appointed Taylor expert of the group —yes, I went to see the Eras tour twice previously , thank you very much — I wondered how the concert film would work for those not steeped in Swiftie mythology.
Ryan, did the movie live up to your expectations of the concert tour you haven’t actually seen?
RYAN LATTANZIO : Having been shut out of buying Taylor tickets thrice — and even after enlisting in various “verified fan” presales — I was feeling a bit burned by the whole affair. But this concert film, directed by Sam Wrench, I have to say blew me away. Swift is a consummate professional as ever but what stood out to me this time was the strength of her vocals. I’m coming at this as a “folklore” era fan and previously a “1989” head and otherwise casual listener prior, and the movie offered up a nice sampling of all these, even opening with tracks from “Lover” to ease in those listeners who aren’t so familiar with her earlier stuff. But now I must say I am all in on “Red,” an album that eluded me in my youth that I’ll now be spinning endlessly.
ERIN STRECKER: Yeah, I was still raring to go when the credits rolled. Kate, a thing I love about you is your enthusiasm for the ~whole deal~. What was your take on the die-hard fans around us and the overall experience?
KATE ERBLAND: In the lead up to our trip to “The Eras Tour,” I vowed to go all-in on the experience, to really let the communal joy of Swifties (of which I don’t count myself, though I certainly enjoy a lot of Swift’s music, particularly of the “Red” and “1989” vintage) wash over me, to trade friendship bracelets with whoever I could find (my first trade: a very kind AMC employee who sold me the first of many cans of hard seltzer), to sing along with whatever songs I did know, to dance in my seat, and to break out my own big guns (a Travis Kelce jersey, which I have owned for years, and which has taken on new, bizarre resonance in recent weeks).
To some people — including me, who can get so annoyed at screenings in which people are on their phones or talking too much, I nearly break out in hives — this might sound awful. But it wasn’t! It was fun and cute and giddy and it made for a communal movie-going experience like I haven’t had in years. I didn’t have to vow to go all-in on the experience, it was sort of baked in already. I dare anyone to go to “The Eras Tour” and not have a delightful time and, perhaps oddly, walk away from their showing not only feeling a deep admiration for Swift and her level of live-show pageantry (I may have yelled, “I’m converted!” at least twice) but also remembering the pure joy of taking in a show with a bunch of strangers. I don’t know if Swift is going to save movie theaters, but she did remind me of their power as gathering place for people looking to revel in something, together.
ERIN STRECKER: Oh, man! Well, happily, there really were only about four songs that were cut from the proceedings. But I was hopeful that “no body, no crime” — her duet with Haim — which she only performed at the West coast dates would make the cut so I could finally, finally watch that barn burner live. But it wasn’t meant to be.
I have to say I was a bit surprised she cut “Wildest Dreams” from her “1989” mega montage set. It, like the other “1989” tracks, are a bit truncated in “Eras Tour” (likely due to the fact that she has toured them extensively already, as opposed to several of her newer albums). So it would have only added about two minutes to the run time. I missed it!
Proma, you had to deal with me sitting next to you volunteering info like “OK, so ‘reputation’ is under-appreciated” and “That guitarist has been with her since 2007.” How was the rest of your newbie Swift experience?
And as a Bollywood fan with my own performance background, I was blown away. Not only is Swift a magnetic performer as Ryan mentioned, but the entire concert is nonstop, seamless, brilliant spectacle. From fire shooting across the backdrop to Swift diving into the stage (how?!?) to detailed sets corresponding with each album, the production was impeccable. And those dancers , my god — I think I genuinely had my mouth hanging open for chunks of this movie, definitely for the entirety of “Ready for It?” The great thing about watching this in tightly-edited video form and not from distant seats in a stadium was being able to form a connection to each individual performer, to see how they all engaged with the music and lyrics and brought that to life with their bodies — including Swift herself, I see that Broadway diva ballet hand, girl.
I see that none of you have mentioned Ryan’s effusive love for “My Tears Ricochet,” easily one of the standout moments of this viewing experience. Erin, you were right there with him ascending to the heavens during that funeral anthem — any final thoughts now that we’ve all ascended?
Everyone will become a Swiftie eventually. I’ll be there to greet them when they give in and surrender.

Prepare for the Eras Tour with this journey through Taylor Swift's concert films
A guide to every taylor swift era captured on film, from journey into fearless to taylor swift's reputation stadium tour.
The Eras Tour concert film is nearly upon us, and it’s set to be another major milestone in Taylor Swift’s already incredibly illustrious career. Topping $100 million in advance ticket sales , the movie experience will likely be crowned the biggest concert film of all time. This is no surprise given Swift’s complete cultural dominance in the last few years. But this also isn’t Swift’s first rodeo: she’s released several concert films (or concert-film-adjacent material) throughout her career, each one calibrated to its specific “era.”
Related Content
Swift’s on-screen journey (and no, we’re not talking about her appearance in Cats or her magnificent death in Amsterdam ) tracks the incredible rise to fame of the biggest pop star of her generation, capturing her at the height of her powers—in front of an audience, connecting with her fans.
Journey To Fearless
After breaking out with her self-titled debut album, the Fearless era truly put Taylor Swift on the map. Her sophomore effort was ultimately awarded the Grammy for Album of the Year. This era also featured her first world tour, which kicked off in April 2009 and stretched through July 2010. The event was captured in Journey To Fearless , a three-part documentary series that originally helped launch the children’s television network The Hub.
Journey To Fearless “combines riveting performances from Taylor Swift’s smash 2010 tour with revealing interviews and behind-the-scenes footage,” per a synopsis of the series. It’s “the story of a little girl who dared to dream big, and who fearlessly faced near-insurmountable obstacles to make those dreams come true.” Questionably surmountable obstacles aside, it’s a fascinating document in the Swift canon that serves something like an origin story. In addition to tour footage, the doc features Swift family home videos and an explanation of how she fell in love with music and made it to Nashville. If you’re itching to watch it, Journey To Fearless can be purchased on DVD over at Amazon .
Speak Now World Tour — Live
Following the smash success of Fearless , Swift famously decided to make a point to her haters by releasing an entirely self-written album so that no one could question her songwriting abilities. Enter the Speak Now era, which was accompanied by a fairytale world tour spanning from February 2011 to March 2012. The Speak Now World Tour — Live concert film was accompanied by a live album that featured Swift’s set list and a few of the covers she played on the road (she played a lot of covers on that tour).
This one is more of a pure concert film than the documentary that preceded it. Nevertheless, it’s interesting to see Swift’s evolution as a performer and the production value she brought to her shows: big set pieces, elaborate costumes, and even little skits (there’s a fake wedding staged in the middle, with a priest and organ music and everything). This DVD can also be purchased at Amazon .
After Speak Now came Red , the era where Swift began her crossover from country music to pop. Sadly, there is no concert film from the Red tour, which took place from March 2013 to June 2014, though rumors circulated for years that one had been filmed and scrapped. (Swift’s label at the time, Big Machine, did not respond to The A.V. Club ’s request for comment on the subject.) Some of the speculation that the Red film was scrapped was because one of the music videos released from the tour, “The Last Time,” was directed by Terry Richardson, who was shortly thereafter embroiled in (another) sexual misconduct scandal.
However, Swift also released a “Red” music video with a different director, Kenny Jackson. Maybe she was shopping around for a director to fit her vision. Per “ Taylor Swift Switzerland ,” Big Machine CEO Scott Borchetta said “he and the management never planned to film the concert or to put it on DVD. He said Taylor also never insisted to film ‘The RED Tour’ due to her process of switching genres,” but this writer can’t find a single source to back up this claim. We’ll just have to enjoy the two music videos (and any blurry fan footage you can find).
The 1989 World Tour Live
The 1989 era marked Swift’s official entry into pure pop, and marked another incredible peak in her career. The world tour, which spanned from May to December 2015, was a similar blockbuster smash, and got an Apple Music-exclusive concert film. Filmed at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney, Australia (the final stop on tour), the Jonas Åkerlund-directed film captured the incredible scope of her stadium success.
The movie featured interviews with Swift about crafting the concert experience, including inviting a lot of friends and celebrities to come out on stage and surprise her fans—everyone from Fetty Wap to Idina Menzel. There are also interviews with “The Squad ,” Swift’s infamous group of girlfriends and footage filmed by her ex-bestie Karlie Kloss . Unfortunately, the film isn’t available for purchase and it’s no longer streaming anywhere (officially, at least—an intrepid fan may be able to find it somewhere on the web.) Instead, you can watch comedian Lara Marie Schoenhals’ “ Please welcome to the stage …” video and get a similar idea as to what the 1989 tour was like.
Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour
Swift’s reputation era followed a fall from grace prompted by the latest (at the time) chapter in her feud with Kanye West. The album is a dark horse in her discography, but for reputation doubters, the tour (which took place between May and November 2018) breathed new life into the material and gave new context to the music. The film version is another straight concert movie without any behind-the-scenes material—as Swift said when the era began, “There will be no explanation. There will just be reputation.”
On a streaming budget, this is probably her best-looking concert film ever, gorgeously shot and lovingly rendered with lots of gilded costumes and giant snakes. It was a herald of what was to come with the Eras Tour as far as production, choreography, and some of Swift’s strongest vocals of her career. The full film can be found streaming on Netflix .
Lover & folklore
Swift’s Lover era was going to be conducted a little differently, with just 16 big shows called “Lover Fest.” Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted those plans, but not before Swift managed to film an intimate concert in Paris called City Of Lover . Broadcast on ABC and later streaming on Disney+ and Hulu in May 2020, the show stripped down songs from the pure-pop album and transformed many of them into aching acoustic versions. While the full concert is no longer available to stream, there’s some video from the show on Swift’s YouTube page, and the accompanying live album can be streamed on Spotify .
Also during the pandemic, Swift released Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions . It’s not really a concert film, so this one’s a bit of a cheat, but it’s a highlight of an era that never got its own tour. The movie features Swift and her main collaborators, Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, performing songs from the Grammy-winning album and discussing the meanings behind the lyrics and the process of creating the tracks. That pandemic-era film can be still be streamed on Disney+. (And none for you evermore . Bye!)
The Eras Tour Concert Film
Next up is The Eras Tour Concert Film , which premieres in theaters October 13. Swift made a deal directly with AMC to distribute the film, circumventing studios and giving herself the freedom to sell to a streamer at a later date. For now, though, the event is shaping up to be a theater experience , replicating some of the traditions started at the live show (trading friendship bracelets, for example, has been encouraged). The footage was shot at Swift’s final tour stop on the first leg of the U.S. tour, at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium in early August 2023. Performing songs from each previous “era,” this concert film is no doubt a culmination of all the on-screen eras that came before—and it’s already set to become one of the highest- grossing films of the year , period. See you at the cinemas!

The Eras Tour Movie Is Now on Streaming Platforms. Here’s What to Know
I t’s official: Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film can now be enjoyed from the comfort of your living room. Beginning Dec. 13, Swift’s birthday, the movie will be available to rent on several platforms for $19.89, marking the singer's birth year.
"I had the time of my life fighting dragons with youuuu," Swift wrote in an emoji-filled Instagram post on Dec. 13. "Celebrate 34 with me by watching The Eras Tour (Extended Version) including “Long Live," “The Archer” and “Wildest Dreams” at home!"
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift)
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour opened in theaters on Oct. 13 through a distribution agreement directly with AMC Theaters, in place of a deal with a conventional major film studio. Since then, it has raked in more than $248.9 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing concert film at the U.S. box office.
Between the record-breaking Eras Tour and subsequent concert film, album re-releases, and chart-topping singles, it’s been a Swift-centric year. Bloomberg reporter Augusta Saraiva even coined the term “ Swiftonomics ” to describe the extreme post-pandemic demand for Eras Tour tickets the moment they went on sale last year. By the end of the first North American leg, in August, the Eras Tour had become the highest-grossing concert tour by a woman and the second highest-grossing concert tour ever.
One manifestation of Swift’s unprecedented success in 2023: The single “Cruel Summer,” from 2019’s Lover finally hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in late October—over four years after it originally came out . In 2021, the singer embarked on a mission to re-record her first six studio albums— Taylor Swift , Fearless , Speak Now , Red , 1989 , and Reputation —to regain control from Big Machine Records, which owns the masters. As of October, with 1989 (Taylor’s Version) , she had completed two-thirds of that goal.
How to stream the Eras Tour movie
According to Swift’s website, the concert film will be available to rent for $19.89 in the U.S. and Canada on Apple TV, Vudu, Prime Video, Xfinity, Google Play, and YouTube. Additional countries will be announced soon.

Will the streaming release feature new songs?
With a runtime of two hours and 48 minutes, the theatrical release of The Eras Tour was slightly shorter than Swift’s live performances, which typically go for more than three hours—meaning some songs had to be cut. The streaming release of the film will feature three performances that were not included in the original theatrical version, including “Wildest Dreams” (from 1989 ), “The Archer” (from Lover ), and “Long Live” (from Speak Now ).
This leaves a couple songs that were performed live on the tour but did not make it into either version of the film. While “Cardigan” (from folklore ) is the only regular song to be cut, “no body, no crime” (from evermore )—which Swift performed in August with HAIM at filmed shows at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium—also does not appear.
Can you still see The Eras Tour in theaters?
Yes! The Eras Tour is still in theaters, and should remain in theaters until Jan. 12, according to the terms of Swift’s deal with AMC, which contained a 13-week exclusive theatrical run.
The concert film has smashed records, including the highest single-day advance ticket sales in AMC’s history: $26 million, and $37 million if you include Regal and Cinemark. Fandango announced that Swift’s movie had the highest first-day ticket sales of 2023.
And it looks like the singer has set a precedent: Since AMC announced The Eras Tour release, “The phone has been ringing off the hook,” said AMC CEO Adam Aron. “A significant number of the world’s best artists would like to explore doing things with AMC.”

Background [ ]
On October 25, 2012, in partnership with ABC News on the prime-time TV special All Access Nashville with Katie Couric – A Special Edition of 20/20, Swift announced that she would be launching a North American stadium and arena tour in early 2013 in support of her fourth studio album, Red . During a radio interview with WRVW, Swift mentioned that "It's nothing like any other tour before."
Swift told Billboard : "Of course, you know the tour will be a big representation of this record," Swift tells Billboard . "I'm so excited to see what songs the fans like the most and which ones jump to the forefront, because that's the first step. We always see which songs are really the passionate songs and the ones the fans are freaking out over the most, and those are the ones that are definitely in the set list. I can't wait for that."
Swift used Tom Petty's " American Girl " as her entrance song on her previous tour but now takes the stage to Lenny Kravitz's version of "American Woman". She sings a cover of The Lumineers's "Ho Hey" nightly, intertwined with her own "Stay Stay Stay".
Her meet and greet room for the tour was called Club Red .
The stage for the Red tour is when Swift really started getting creative with her stage designs and therefore, add a more evolved look to her live shows. In fact, the shape of the Red Tour stage is very unique, it is in a U shape, with two pits, divided by a catwalk within the U stage. This permitted for fans to feel closer to Taylor during the show and have many interactions.
The main stage catwalk also had a crane that Swift went on during " Treacherous " and " We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together " for the show encore.
There was also a B stage at the back of the venue, with a round-shaped platform that lifted up. Swift would perform the surprise song of the set on this stage.
During the shows in Asia, the stage was been modified with several cuts, including:
- The U stage was completely removed and replaced by a standard T-shaped catwalk
- The overhead screen above the stage were removed, and there was only one back screen, not three.
- Many lighting were reduced.
- The crane at catwalk, the lifted platform on B stage and floating constellation during " Sparks Fly " was removed.

Prepare for the Eras Tour with this journey through Taylor Swift's concert films
Taylor Swift throughout the years
The Eras Tour concert film is nearly upon us, and it’s set to be another major milestone in Taylor Swift’s already incredibly illustrious career.
The event was captured in Journey To Fearless, a three-part documentary series that originally helped launch the children’s television network The Hub.
Following the smash success of Fearless, Swift famously decided to make a point to her haters by releasing an entirely self-written album so that no one could question her songwriting abilities.
Club’s request for comment on the subject.) Some of the speculation that the Red film was scrapped was because one of the music videos released from the tour, “The Last Time,” was directed by Terry Richardson, who was shortly thereafter embroiled in (another) sexual misconduct scandal.
There are also interviews with “The Squad,” Swift’s infamous group of girlfriends and footage filmed by her ex-bestie Karlie Kloss .
Swift’s Lover era was going to be conducted a little differently, with just 16 big shows called “Lover Fest.” Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted those plans, but not before Swift managed to film an intimate concert in Paris called City Of Lover.
Also during the pandemic, Swift released Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions. (And none for you evermore. Bye!)
The Eras Tour Concert Film
Next up is The Eras Tour Concert Film, which premieres in theaters October 13. Swift made a deal directly with AMC to distribute the film, circumventing studios and giving herself the freedom to sell to a streamer at a later date. For now, though, the event is shaping up to be a theater experience, replicating some of the traditions started at the live show (trading friendship bracelets, for example, has been encouraged). The footage was shot at Swift’s final tour stop on the first leg of the U.S. tour, at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium in early August 2023. Performing songs from each previous “era,” this concert film is no doubt a culmination of all the on-screen eras that came before—and it’s already set to become one of the highest-grossing films of the year , period. See you at the cinemas!

Taylor Swift and Beyoncé Walk the Red Carpet Together at Premiere of 'Eras World Tour' Film Swift's concert film debuted in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
By Emily Rella • Oct 12, 2023
Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are soon to be in their box-office-dominating eras.
The two surprised audiences and fans around the world when they stepped out on the red carpet together for the Premiere of Swift's "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" film in Los Angeles, California.
"She's been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale," Swift gushed about Beyoncé in an Instagram post that has since garnered over 5 million likes on the platform.
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift)
The women coming together is pivotal, as both are set to release massive concert films in the coming weeks that are expected to smash box office expectations. Presale numbers put Swift's film on its way to becoming the highest-grossing concert film to hit theaters (domestically).

In September, "Eras" presale ticket revenue at AMC, Cinemark, and Regal cinemas located in the U.S., Cineplex in Canada, and Cinepolis in Mexico grossed about $65 million.
Earlier this month, Cinemark said in a release that demand for Swift's presale ticket sales was "10 times higher" than presale demand for any other film released in the theater chain's history.
"Eras," which opens Friday, is estimated to make anywhere between $96 million and $145 million on opening weekend.
Beyoncé is releasing her Renaissance World Tour film, "Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé" on December 1. The film pulled in between $6 million and $7 million during its first day of presale tickets earlier this month, according to Deadline .
No other official presale numbers for "Renaissance" have been released by any major theater chains.

This is not the two superstars' first foray into film, either — both had standout documentaries on Netflix.
Per Variety , Netflix reportedly paid Beyoncé a cool $20 million for her "Homecoming" documentary, which was an all-access look at the star's Coachella performance in 2018.
Though it's unclear how much the streaming giant paid for Swift's 2018 "Miss Americana" documentary, unconfirmed sources put the price tag around $25 million for the rights to the film.
Per Forbes, the two superstars have a combined estimated net worth of $1.28 billion, with Swift estimated to be worth $740 million and Beyonce , $540 million.

Within minutes of theater tickets for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour being released, the AMC app crashed with fans attempting to buy advance tickets for the movie. This marks the second instance this year where Swifties caused a major website to malfunction, with the first being during the sale for the actual Eras Tour itself. AMC is currently promoting exciting additions for your cinematic experience including Eras Tour-themed popcorn buckets for $14.99+tax and drink cups for $11.99+tax. Will The Eras Tour be on Netflix?
Despite the concert movie's cinematic release on October 13, there has been no announcement about where to stream Taylor Swift: The Era Tour online. Until further notice, the movie is available exclusively in theaters. However, given the record-breaking demand for tickets, it is very likely fans will be able to watch The Eras Tour on streaming services after its theatrical run ends.
You can choose to get notified by JustWatch when a streaming release date is announced by heading to Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour and hitting the notification bell.
How long is Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour?

Who is the director of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour?
Grammy-nominated Sam Wrench is the director of the upcoming concert movie. He earned the coveted nomination for directing Billie Eilish Live At The O2 in 2023. Wrench is best known for his ability in capturing the electrifying essence of a live music event, having also worked on Lizzo: Live in Concert and BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage - LA . He boasts an impressive resume filled with projects from some of the biggest names in the industry including Mary J. Blige, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.
What records did Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour break?
Taylor Swift just keeps adding to her impressive list of record-breaking achievements. The Eras Tour movie shattered the record for the most money made from advance ticket sales in a single day at AMC Theaters, raking in a whopping $26 million. Fans achieved this record-breaking feat in just three hours, beating Avengers: Endgame 's record for the most tickets sold within the first 24 hours.
The Eras Tour movie is expected to have an incredible opening weekend, with a projected range of $100-125 million. Movie , Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse , Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania . These range between between $162 million to $106 million, which means the upcoming concert movie has the potential to have one of the best opening weekends of 2023.
Furthermore, the sudden announcement of the movie's release date caused other titles to change their release dates. The Exorcist: Believer , originally slated for the same day, will now premiere a week earlier. Producer Jason Blum playfully tweeted, "Look what you made me do. The Exorcist: Believer moves to 10/6/23.”
What are the other Taylor Swift concert movies?
For those who simply cannot calm down before the release of the movie, there have been a number of projects featuring exclusive access to Swift’s concerts that are available to watch right now. There were also DVD releases of Taylor Swift: Journey to Fearless in 2010 and Speak Now World Tour – Live the following year.
Swifties alike must ultimately tolerate this Cruel wait with their Gorgeous Style they know Belongs to them. On the Bejeweled side, there are only a few weeks left before they are united by the greatest Love Story on the big screen: Taylor Swift with her Swifties. They are undeniably Ready For It.

The premiere of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” took over The Grove in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, shutting down storefronts in the open-air shopping mall and transforming the AMC Theaters multiplex into an event space for a star-studded evening.
Though traditional studios initially attempted to court Swift to distribution rights for “The Eras Tour,” the singer elected to instead take an alternate approach by partnering with AMC Theaters as a distributor. The cinema chain is releasing the concert film across Cinemark and Regal chains as well, along with independent venues. The move prompted some studios to scramble their release calendars, to give fall releases space from the blockbuster in the making.
“The Eras Tour” is set to hit theaters this weekend. Global ticket sales already exceed $100 million, setting the release up to swiftly become the highest-grossing concert film of all-time.

There is only 1 thing missing from taylor swift’s career after the eras tour movie’s success.
Now that Taylor Swift has dominated the box office and streaming with The Eras Tour concert movie, there's one career move she has yet to pursue.
- Although she's directed several music videos and the Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions concert documentary, Taylor Swift has yet to direct a feature film.
- Swift also wrote and directed the highly-praised All Too Well: The Short Film, proving she could pull off directing a feature film.
- The commercial success of The Eras Tour movie shows that Swift is a major force in the entertainment industry and would be a bankable film director to invest in.
Following the enormous success of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert movie , there's still one feat the multi-faceted artist has yet to accomplish in her long-spanning career. Although Swift had previously released concert films before The Eras Tour movie , none came close to its acclaim, popularity or success, nor were they given theatrical runs. Like the record-breaking world tour itself, The Eras Tour movie marked a huge new milestone in Swift's career.
Alongside the theatrical release of The Eras Tour movie in October 2023, Swift has continued to dominate the music industry with impressive album sales, high streaming numbers, and consistent wins at major award shows, including the Grammys. In addition to music, Swift has also had acting roles in films like Valentine's Day (2010), Cats (2019), and Amsterdam (2022) and TV shows like CSI and New Girl. There's no doubt that Swift is an accomplished and well-rounded artist, but there's one hat in the entertainment industry that she has yet to try on.
Taylor Swift's 8 Documentaries & Concert Movies, Ranked (Including Eras Tour)
Taylor swift has yet to direct a feature film (& we hope she will), swift has directed several music videos, a short film, & a concert documentary.
Although she has directed several of her own music-related projects, Swift has yet to direct a (nondocumentary) feature film. Swift first took a seat in the director's chair for the music video for "Mine," the lead single off her third studio album Speak Now in 2010, which she co-directed with Roman White. Swift's first solo directorial venture was nine years later with the music video for "ME!," the lead single off her seventh studio album Lover. Swift has directed nearly all her music videos since then, as well as the 2020 Disney+ concert documentary Folklore: The Long Pond Sessions .
13 Taylor Swift Music Videos That Point To A Great Feature Film Directorial Debut
Given her experience with directing her own music videos and concert documentary, Swift is well-suited to direct a feature film.
Given her vast experience directing her own music videos and concert documentary, Swift is well-suited to direct a feature film. It was actually announced back in December 2022 that Swift would write and direct her first full-length movie in collaboration with Searchlight Pictures , but there have been no further updates since then. Hopefully, after the release of Swift's next album The Tortured Poets Department on April 19, 2024, and the conclusion of The Eras Tour on December 8, 2024, her next move will be starting production on this untitled Searchlight film.
Swift is technically credited as the director of the music videos for "I'm Only Me When I'm With You" from her 2006 self-titled debut album and "The Best Day" from her 2008 album Fearless, but since these are both comprised of archive/concert footage, neither are considered her directorial debuts.
1 Taylor Swift Song Is The Perfect Inspiration For Her Directorial Debut (& Has The Actress To Prove It)
Taylor swift’s all too well short film suggests she’s ready to helm a feature, swift wrote & directed the 15-minute short film for the 10-minute vault track from red (taylor's version).
Every music video directed by Swift has demonstrated her keen eye and knack for visual storytelling, but All Too Well: The Short Film proves that she truly has what it takes to helm a feature film. As part of the release of her second re-recorded album, Red (Taylor's Version) , on November 12, 2021, Swift wrote and directed a 15-minute short film adaptation of the vault track " All Too Well (10 Minute Version) ," the unabridged version of the 5-minute Red track of the same name.
Starring Sadie Sink as the song's narrator and Dylan O'Brien as her older boyfriend, All Too Well: The Short Film brings the titular song's story to life onscreen , exploring the different phases of the whirlwind relationship and where it all went wrong. The song serves as a musical backdrop for the short, broken up only by a three-minute verbal dispute between the central couple. At the end of the film, Swift appears as an older version of Sink's character (who is a self-insert for a younger Swift) thirteen years later.
Why Taylor Swift Fans Think All Too Well Is About Jake Gyllenhaal
The renowned work Swift did on All Too Well: The Short Film and the project's positive reception prove that a feature film would be in good hands with Swift at the helm.
All Too Well: The Short Film received high praise and won several major awards, including the Grammy for Best Music Video. The short film also had a limited theatrical run and was screened at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 11, 2022, and the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2022. The renowned work Swift did on All Too Well: The Short Film and the project's positive reception prove that a feature film would be in good hands with Swift at the helm.
All Too Well Film: Every Taylor Swift Easter Egg & Reference
The eras tour movie’s success proves taylor swift’s box office power, the eras tour movie broke several box office records.
All Too Well: The Short Film proves that Swift could pull off directing a feature film on a craft level, and the commercial success of The Eras Tour movie shows that Swift is a major force to be reckoned with at the box office. During its three-month theatrical run, The Eras Tour movie earned $261.7 million worldwide (via Box Office Mojo ), surpassing Justin Bieber: Never Say Never as the highest-grossing concert film of all time. The Eras Tour movie broke several other box office records and was even nominated for the first-ever Golden Globe for Best Box Office Achievement.
The Eras Tour movie's success continued to reach new heights when an extended cut called Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) hit streaming on March 14, 2024. Garnering 4.6 million views and 16.2 million hours viewed on Disney+ during its opening weekend, The Eras Tour movie broke a Disney+ streaming record and became the most streamed concert film on the platform.
With these stats, it's clear that Swift can attract audiences no matter the viewing medium. Her star power alone would be enough to sell tickets out the door and rack up views via streaming for her feature directorial debut, making her a bankable film director to invest in. If Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour has taught the world anything, it's that Swift's pull should not be underestimated.

Zendaya Is Smashing Red-Carpet Fashion on Challengers Press Tour
By Kase Wickman
If there’s anyone who knows how to walk both a red carpet and the fine line between fashion and cosplay, it’s Zendaya. After wowing us through late winter with out-of-this-world fashion at events for Dune: Part Two , the 27-year-old is at it again, this time for director Luca Guadagnino ’s Challengers.
Zendaya stars in the movie as a retired tennis champ who finds herself caught up in the games —in more ways than one—of two male players, portrayed by Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist. While the actor’s Dune red-carpet looks channeled her character Chani through tough jumpsuits and futuristic, desert-inspired gowns, the looks she chose for the Challengers press tour, in collaboration with longtime stylist Law Roach, practically come with their own ball boy.
The actor has used mesh, pleats, and bold-striped accents to evoke tennis apparel while staying high-fashion. She’s borrowed motifs like allover embroidered repeats from country club fashion, as she did with a custom Thom Browne gown covered in tiny white-on-white crossed tennis racquets. While there have been plenty of tennis-whites-inspired touches, Zendaya has also lobbed some daringly different takes on the theme. There’s the shimmering green custom Loewe gown with a silhouette of a tennis player poured across her thigh—a look that instantly summons the feeling of sitting in the sun with a cold drink in hand, taking in a close tennis match on a grass court. She even debuted a new take on the idea of tennis shoes, coming right up to the edge of kitsch by wearing stilettos with the heel spiked directly through the center of a tennis ball. In Milan, she donned a Ralph Lauren tennis dress worn by Cindy Crawford in 1991 for the ultimate sportswear glam pedigree.
The officials have conferred, and they all agree: Zendaya is serving.
