The path was definitely not for beginners. Everyone in our group struggled. Luckily the guy that worked there rode with me and helped me. There were steep hills, huge rocks, and narrow paths for most of it. I fell and injured my hand prettt badly, but they didn’t have any ice or anything else I could put on it. Great experience, even though I'm a little afraid of heights, I put on my big girl pants and did this, I was rewarded with some spectacular views and the kudos that I have been up 705m above sea level. We paid for the skycar and skybridge with nature walk, we wish we had paid the small amount extra to skip the nature walk, which given the altitude and heat was really hard going and we are fairly fit. The sad thing about this is even in this remote and beautiful surrounding man's destruction can be seen in the form of litter, it states that no food or drink are to be taken up, however man's ignorance of being told what to do has ensured even paradise must be spoilt for those who go after him and the poor wildlife that has no say in the matter! Shops were unnecessary and very overpriced for what they were selling I really think tourist don't really appreciate visiting these places. Genting cable car was a good experience the main place itself mall is massive and very noisy and busy. The outdoor theme park has to be paid for even to just view but indoor theme park you can have a walk around. Food courts and restaurants are many to choose from we spend a whopping 4 hours there which I found to be to long, unless you actually using theme parks or the casinos. The Pewter stop is very educational and the merchandise for sale is stunning. Lunch was great. The hot springs once more is for a reasonable level of fitness as besides steps there are areas where one scrambles over slippery rocks. Having said that… it’s just beautiful. Whilst there is no guarantee of seeing the gorgeous orangutans we sit through a 20 minute briefing on the do’s and dont’s and then it falls flat because no orangutan in site. Having been to Sepilok we felt this was a waste of time and money. All there was, was a small presentation video room and a few photos - not even a shop to buy stuff, though there was a stall seller in car park. Given it's been established for so long they are now breeding and having their own offspring. We were super lucky to see the orangutans - 6 in total. One solo near one of the feeding platforms, then a group of 4 which included a mother with a tiny baby as well is 2 older siblings who were all hanging out together and then finally a large male who was really close to the road. The ranger fed him various fruits to keep him occupied while we all snapped shots and then he was finally off.
