The Tiki Queen used to ferry people to and from Conneaut Lake in Pennsylvania and was used to cruise the Scioto River, but she’s most recognizable for being one of the original riverboats used to ferry people to and from the Cedar Point amusement park Even today, people come from all over to once again take a seat and remember the excited feeling they had that first time they stepped aboard her, except now they can add the beauty and nature of Topsail Island to that memory!

My family fully appreciated our tour and time on the island exploring tide pools and sandbars in a serene uncrowded setting of south topsail island. Seeing ospreys nesting and history of the topsail towers and there repurposing today was very cool, indeed. I recommend this 3 hour tour expect memories you can feel!

Really awesome time, and highly recommend! My family and I did the three-hour private charter this morning with Captain Eddie. We got gorgeous weather, calm water, lots of osprey and baby osprey sightings, as well as loads of dolphins and a very special dolphin calf sighting! Truly breathtaking. Eddie provided lots of history about the intercoastal waterway and Topsail island. Our time on the beach at Lea-Hatuff Island was sweet - we found many large shells and three shark teeth. All of us - from 3 years old to 50 years old - had a blast.

Overall, we enjoyed our 2-hour tour aboard the Tiki Queen. Our captain and his wife (cannot remember their names) were friendly and informative, especially regarding some of the history of human habitation and development along our tour route. It's too bad that the sea life doesn't present themselves on cue, but that's simply not something Tiki Tours can orchestrate and we only saw several ospreys perched on their nests atop channel markers, some with chicks. One disappointment for me personally was that the "paddle-wheeler" really isn't. Tiki Queen is powered by diesel engines and twin propellers. The wheel is not functional. We enjoyed the tour as a relaxing, if somewhat boring, getaway on the water with friendly folk.

We booked a private 3 hour tour online for Tuesday morning after several re-bookings due to weather, we finally were cleared on Friday. They were so helpful throughout the entire rescheduling process, offering us a different time for each day we were here. Constant communication leading up to our trip too! We arrived to the marina about 15 minutes before our tour to meet with Captain Summer. She welcomed us aboard and then shared with us our itinerary for the day. We were going to head towards Lea-Hutaff Island for shelling. The tiki boat was super comfy and we loved sitting in the far back as well as the two chairs up at the front! Great views from everywhere! We were lucky enough to catch the bridge moving for a large ship as we were setting out so we saw the whole process from the boat. Super cool to see! Captain Summer shared lots of local information as we went along the ICW about Topsail and Sloop Point. The teenagers in our group enjoyed the information she shared about Blackbeard on the way back. We hit the island within an hour and had about an hour out on the island to explore and look for shells. We found several unique shells and several big shells. We wished we would have had more time out there to continue looking for shells. We really cannot wait until next year to go on another tour! It was worth all the money we paid. Definitely a must do if you are looking for a cool way to explore the island!

Booked the sunset cruise for a party of 14, advertised as a "two hour sunset party! Enjoy tropical music...sit back relax and witness one of our SPECTACULAR TOPSAIL SUNSETS!" Good time with music and a good crew but came back after two hours and did not see the sunset. It was a good time, but do not expect to see a sunset if the sun doesn't set by 8pm. That information should have been communicated to us prior to the event.

This tour is awesome! We did the sunset tour and had so much fun. The ride south through the ICW is absolutely beautiful. The first mate told interesting stories and gave great info about the local wildlife. Then on the ride back they bring out the disco ball and you can request whatever music you want. We had so much fun and the rest of the passengers did as well. It was great to meet people and watch the gorgeous sunset as you cruise down the waterway. If you don't take this tour you have missed out on seeing Topsail island in a breathtaking way.

What a wonderful time we had on our Tiki Time Cruise to Lea-Hutaff island. Beautiful ride down the Intracoastal to our deserted island, where our grandkids enjoyed a relaxing time swimming, looking for shells, and exploring the island. Definitely recommend! Captain Anthony was the best.

We went on the 2pm cruise yesterday with a party of 10 and had small children (all five and under). It was very relaxing and the Captain was pleasant, informative and considerate of everyone. We didn't see dolphins but that was never expected nor were we told there would be. But we did cruise and tour the intercoastal waterway and saw osprey, scalloping, crab traps, beautiful houses and learned about Topsails history, the new replacement bridge and Pirates! I was nervous with small children as they can be unpredictable but the Captain made everyone feel welcome and encouraged us to move around an stretch our legs on the two hour tour. Kids of all ages loved it. I highly recommend this to anyone especially families.

I booked a tour based on the reviews. Sadly, we did not have such a wonderful experience. One of the most boring, rather THE most boring, boat tour we have ever been on. The young guy talking spoke for about 5-10 minutes at the beginning about digging the canal and 2 bridges. Then pointed out 2 birds. After that, silence for at least an hour and a half! When we were almost back he talked for about 10 minutes about Blackbeard and something else. The website description made it seem much more informative and not basically just a boat ride. What a waste of $125 for the five of us.

Absolutely fabulous! Worth every cent! Very informative and funny. Great way to spend a day on the water! Loved our stop at Lea Island too!

Excellent boat ride to shell island. Very friendly Captain. Great story of pirates and merchant ships. Seeing a dolphin on the way back made the entire trip so fun! We will see you again next year for the moonlight cruise!

Captain James took us to uninhabited Lea Island, where we collected huge shells and moseyed around at our own pace. He explained the history of Topsail Island, the ICWW and showed us huge osprey nests up close. The best part was the dolphin escort on the way back!

Had a great time on the shelling tour. My husband found 5 whole conch shells. The entire family loved it.

We really enjoyed our trip to Lea Island. ..an item on our island bucket list. Captain James was an excellent captain. He recognized my sister was afraid of boats and went out of his way to put her at ease, even letting her steer with his direction! Something all of us will never forget. He was so nice and had a great sense of humor. Lara was also very helpful on the phone. Would definitely choose Tiki Tours again for another "bucket list" item. Thanks Tiki Tours for a wonderful experience!
