飛び・打感・直進性を備えた欲張りアイアン 「JGR HF3」試打

今回はブリヂストンゴルフの「TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン」を試打させていただきましたのでレポートしたいと思います。

ボディ素材/製法：軟鉄・ポリマー/鍛造 フェース素材：Ultimate Strong Metal2.0 ロフト：#6 25°/#7 28°/#8 33°/#9 38°/P 44°

“飛び系”に分類されるのだが……

「TOUR B JGR」は、ミスに強いアスリートモデルとして確固たるポジションを築いたブランド。こ の連載でもレポートした「JGRドライバー」 は、アマチュアはもちろんプロにも評価が高く、数名のプロがトーナメントで使用しています。

さて、今回試打させてもらった「HF3アイアン」は、ひと言で言えば“飛び系アイアン”に分類されます。番手設定が5番までしかありませんし、ロフト角も7番で28°（一般的なアスリートアイアンのロフトが33〜34°）と飛距離をかなり重視した設定になっています。

ですが飛び一辺倒ではないのがこのモデルの特徴。「サスペンションコア」というヘッド内部に充填されたポリマーが反発と打感を向上。さらに、ミスヒット時の許容性を高めるディンプルフェースなどを搭載し、フィーリングとミスへの強さにも注力したモデルになっています。

最近はこういったモデルが増えてきていて、キャロウェイの「X-フォージドスターアイアン」やテーラーメイドの「M5アイアン」、フォーティーンの「TC560」などが直接のライバルになります。

キャビティバック構造に見えますが、中空構造になっています。デザインは比較的シンプルでいいですね

#9 適度な厚さがあり、直線的なトップブレードの影響でかなりカチッとしたイメージがある形状。ブレードがやや長めに設計されており、直進性を重視しているのが顔からも伝わってきます

ソール後方が面取りされているとはいえ、かなり幅広いソール面を持っています。ソールが広ければそれだけ重心が下げやすくなるので、かなりの低スピンで高弾道のボールが打てそうですね

今回試打させてもらったシャフトは2タイプ。純正カーボンの「TG2-IR」（上）と日本シャフトのスチール「N.S.PRO950GH neo」（下）。TG2-IRはRフレックスで60gと軽量ですが、しなりの中に芯のある挙動でタイミングが取りやすいモデル、950GH neoはSフレックスで98g、シャキッとしていてシャープに振れるモデルです

スチールシャフトのほうが曲がりは少ない

パッと構えると、曲がらなそうだな〜という印象を強く持ちます。ブレードが長く、堅ろうなイメージのトップブレードが、少々芯を外しても真っすぐ飛ばしてくれそう。サイズは比較的大きめで安心して構えられますね。このHF3アイアンは、冒頭で飛び系のアイアンと述べましたが、飛距離最優先のモデルとは違い、クラブを特別長くはしていません。ミート率の低下を引き起こしかねない長尺化はせず、ヘッドの性能のみで飛距離を追求する。そのへんからも飛距離だけでなく、“狙う”というアイアン本来の性能を損なわないように設計しているのだと思います。

最初に試打したのは純正カーボンのRフレックスの7番。ゆったりとしなりつつ剛性感のあるシャフトです。8割程度のパワーで振ると、7番アイアンらしい高さで飛び出し、低スピンで前に飛んでいく球が出ました。28°というロフトを考えるとかなり高い打ち出し角だとは思います。

直進性は非常に高く、インパクトでしっかりフェースを戻すことさえできれば、安定したショットが打てそうです。芯を前後左右に外して打ってもみましたが、どこで打っても曲がりは少なかったです。打点のミスで特に強いのがフェース下部。少々下側でもスピンはさほど増えず、高さも出てくれて、ほとんどミスになりませんでした。

次にスチールの950GH neoを打ってみました。振り味はシャキッとしていて強振にもしっかりついてきてくれるシャフト。シャフトのせいなのか、打点のミスにはさらに強くなった印象で、曲がりの少なさという点ではこちらのほうが上ですね。

フェース面に、いわゆる“バネ鋼”を使用しているのですが、サスペンションコアの効果なのか、軟鉄っぽいやわらかめの打感で、重い感触を味わえます。飛んでやさしいアイアンが欲しいけど、打感が硬いのは嫌い、なんて人にはかなり喜ばれるんじゃないでしょうか。

“マッスルバック並みの打感！”とはいきませんが、かなりやわらかく重い感触を味わえます

カーボン ：できるだけストレートのイメージで振ったのですが、適度につかまえてくれて、しっかり高さも出してくれます。クラブの長さは長くないのにこの距離と打ち出し角はすごいですね

スチール ：スチールにしても弾道の質はほとんど変わりませんでした。ただスチールのほうが速いヘッドスピードでも球質が変わらず、コントロールはしやすかったです。カーボンで強く振ると縦の距離にややばらつきが出ました。振れる人はスチールがおすすめです

飛ばしたいけど曲がるのはイヤ、という人に！

JGR HF3アイアンは飛距離を追求しながらもミスへの許容性、そして打感を追求した欲張りなモデル。アイアンの距離は欲しいけど、曲がりが大きくなるのは避けたい、打感が悪いクラブは嫌だ、なんていうわがまま(笑)なゴルファーに強くおすすめできます。ただ、直進性が高い半面、球の操作はほとんど受け付けないので、操作性も欲しいという方はほかのモデルがいいでしょうね。

ヘッドスピードがドライバーで40m/s前後で、とにかく曲げたくないという方なら950GH neoがおすすめです。純正カーボンはパワーがない方が飛距離を稼ぎやすいように仕上がっていますよ。

面長のフェースとセミグースネックが安心感を与えてくれる。すっきりした顔です。

構えた時にバックフェースの出っ張りがギリギリ見えないから違和感なく構えられます。

ロフトが7番で28度。そのロフトなりに飛びます。ダフリ気味でもよく飛んでくれます。

ロフト角が立ってる割には高いが、それ以上に上がる感じはしない。払い打ちでもよく拾ってくれる。打ち込んでスピンで持ち上げる打ち方では高く上がらない。

フェース・ローテーションはかなり控えめ。払い打ちでアウトサイドインに引き込んでもコスらずにつかまってくれるが、手首のターンで捕まえようとしても動きがブロックされます。アベレージゴルファーのスイングに適合しそうな挙動ですね。

操作性よりも直進性を優先するゴルファーにおすすめ。

よく弾きながら、不快な感触を衝撃吸収材が取り除いている。

手打ちでも打ちやすい。オフセンターでも曲がらないし、ロスも少ない。アベレージゴルファーのスイングの対策が盛り込まれています。

前モデルは、飛び系の HF1 、セミアスリート向けの HF2 の２種類あったけど、ロフト角はその中間に設定されています。このHF3は払い打ちでもやさしく飛ばせるアイアンなので、幅広い層に人気が出そうな味付けになっています。

今回の新・貧打爆裂レポートは、2019年9月13日発売のブリヂストンスポーツ『TOUR B JGR（ツアー ビー ジェイジーアール）HF3 アイアン』です。 いつものようにコースに持ち込んで打ってきました。ぶっ飛びブランドの『JGR』の最新のアイアンの実力は？　動画も含めて試打レポートします。

最先端のその先を体感できるのがHF3 アイアンだ！

Hf3は、未知の扉を開けてゴルファーを誘う.

『TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン』は、ブリヂストンスポーツが2019年の9月13日に発売するクラブです。 2017年に発売された前モデルの『TOUR B JGR HF1 アイアン』は、尖ったアイアンでした。 圧倒的な飛距離性能と高弾道は、たくさんのゴルファーを助けました。僕もインプレで大絶賛しました。 その後継機種です。期待もしますが、不安もありました。 良いクラブの後継機種が、イマイチなクラブであることは、残念ながらよくあることだからです。 『TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン』の説明をする3つの新しいテクノロジーがあります。 「SP-CORE（サスペンションコア）」は、ヘッド内部の中空部分に振動吸収ポリマーを充填したものです。 高反発違反まで反発を高めたヘッドを、後ろ側から押すことで適合範囲ギリギリにコントロールして、無駄な振動を抑えることで心地良い打感を実現するテクノロジーです。 「Dimple Face（ディンプルフェース）」は表からは見えないフェースの裏の秘密です。 最も薄い部分で1.4ミリの薄肉部をフェース周辺に配置して高反発化して、ボールが当たる部分から周辺に向かって、拡大するように配置されたディンプルがある構造のフェースです。 ギリギリの高反発をする範囲を広めて、ミスヒット時の許容性を高めるテクノロジーです。 「Power Slit（パワースリット）」は、打点に近いフェースの下部の角をえぐるように薄くして、ソールの一部までを一体化させている構造のことです。初速性能を飛躍的に高めるテクノロジーです。 『TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン』は、聞いたことがないようなテクノロジーで武装しています。 パッと見た目も、シンプルで、変なところがありません。ソールが厚すぎて、構えたときに違和感があるようなことも一切ありません。 あまりにも普通なので、本当に、最先端のアイアンなのか？　と思ってしまいますが……。 メーカーが本気と自信を感じさせるポイントがあるのです。 シャフトが3種類用意されていて、かつ、フレックスも適切に用意されているのです。 ショップの本音は、スペックが多いと在庫を置くのが大変なので嫌がるものですが、幅広いゴルファーに使ってもらいたいということと、在庫リスクを恐れないでも大丈夫だというメーカーの自信を感じます。

動画を見てください。 試打した『TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン』は、「TOUR AD for JGR TG2-IR」のRフレックスです。 6番～9番、ピッチングウェッジ（PW）の5本を使って、ラウンドしました。 このシャフト、Rフレックスのシャフトとは思えないほど、しっかりしています。Sフレックスより、ヘッドスピード40メートル／秒の僕には、合っているような気がしました。 最初に打ったのは7番アイアンでした。 ぶっ飛びです。高さも出ます。160ヤード飛んで、ボールは落ちてから1ヤードで止まりました。 打音は控えめで、音質は金属系ではなく、少し柔らか目の音で、音量も大きくありません。打ち応えは軟らかいのです。 戸惑いました。どこに当たったのかわからない感覚がありました。これは、かなり昔ですが、ドライバーのヘッドが巨大化したときの感覚に似ていました。 次は9番アイアン、PW、8番アイアンと使いました。飛距離性能だけではなく、止められるという意味でもトップレベルです。 やはり、真芯に当たっているはずなのに、自分の知っている感触と違うことに戸惑いました。 弾道は素晴らしいのです。でも、その弾道を打っているという手応えがないのです。 しかし、それは逆に、真芯に当たっていなくとも、同じようなボールが打てるということだと、途中から理解しました。 つまり、高反発の許容範囲の広さが、打ち応えと打球がリンクしない感触の違和感になっていたのです。 『TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン』は、想定を超えるアイアンでした。 ぶっ飛び系のアイアンでありながら、アイアンとしての完成度が高いからです。何より結果が出ます。 ラウンドで使用して、とにかく、思い通りにボールを打ち、止めることができました。何じゃコレは？　と戸惑いながらも、不思議なゴルフを体験しました。 ぶっ飛び系のアイアンが欲しいという人に、最優先で『TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン』をオススメします。 最先端のテクノロジーを体感できます。 ほんの少しだけ芯を外して、あと1ヤードのショートでスコアを崩しがちなゴルファーにも『TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン』はオススメです。 『TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン』で、少しだけ注意が必要なのは、スライスを助けたり、フックを緩和するようなやさしさは、あまり持っていないということです。 スイング通りの弾道になるのです。 個人的には、それでいながらぶっ飛んで、止まるというところが『TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン』の恐ろしい魅力だと思います。 少し先の未来では、『TOUR B JGR HF3 アイアン』がきっかけになって、ゴルフ用具の基準が変わったということになるのかもしれないと思いながら、試打ラウンドしました。

クラブ試打 三者三様 ヘッドスピード別試打

「 見た目に反してシッカリめ 」と感想を述べたのは西川。「見た目は比較的やさしい印象ですが、実際は上から打ち込まないといけないややシビアな印象」とのこと。筒は「いろいろな要素が含まれた 幕の内弁当みたいなアイアン 」と独特の表現で評価。万振りマンは「ジャンルとしては飛び系だけど、 飛びだけじゃない 」と、3人とも視点は異なるものの、飛距離に特化していないことに言及した。

ﾔﾏﾊｲﾝﾌﾟﾚｯｸｽ+2SRからの買い替えですが飛距離は1番手落ちたかな。 7番で140Y～150Yぐらいになりました。 ﾃﾞｻﾞｲﾝはいいですがﾍｯﾄﾞが少し小さいです。 ｼｬﾌﾄに慣れて振り過ぎないようにします。

Hands On: Bridgestone Tour B JGR Golf Clubs

So, this Bridgestone outfit, they’re the golf ball folks, right? The new ones Tiger put into play last year? Well, yeah, and darned fine golf balls they are, especially the Tour B RX. But this venerable company is no slouch in the golf club department, either. In fact, the next generation of Bridgestone Tour B JGR club series — driver, fairway metals, hybrids and either the graphite-shafted, wide-soled HF1 game improvement irons and steel-shafted, low-to-mid-handicapper HF2 irons — impressed me at every level over several testing rounds in advance of their Sept. 12 debut.

As you’d expect, the Tour B JGR line is, of course, designed with the everyday, average, aspiring amateur in mind, though they’re getting some love from Bridgestone Golf staff players Matt Kuchar and Brandt Snedeker, who replaced their former drivers with the new Tour B JGR model earlier this summer. But what really blew me away were the irons, in both configurations, on an array of courses from mountainous to muni-flat, turf from tight to fluffy. After packing the same irons in my bag for a decade or more, I was prepared for some improvements in technology, and got it … and then some.

Let’s start with the driver, then roll right through the bag to the wedges.

DEEP AND STRAIGHT

Fairway fun, hybrid hope, iron revelation.

The latter model’s ultra-thin face promotes exceptional distance, while the heads include a rubber polymer insert to enhance feel, reduce vibration, and ensure crisp sound at impact. As a 10-handicapper experiencing alarming age-driven distance loss through the bag, I found the HF2 a pure gift from the golf gods, even with the somewhat TrueTemper XP 95 shaft on board. I consistently got 5 to 8 yards more out of each club compared to my old irons (160 yards with a 7-iron, for instance, compared to the average 152 I’d become accustomed to), with pleasingly and consistently soft and responsive feedback at impact. I could feel my bugaboo toe strikes immediately, yet marveled as the ball still traveled close to the distance I’d asked of it. The spin these babies produce is something to behold, even on hard greens; pulling the string like Philly Mick is doable again. And, with the hybrids, I simply couldn’t produce a slice with them. That put pure confidence back into the equation, meaning less stress, meaning many, many more smooth passes, more greens in regulation and more short-range putts for par or better.

One thing to remember about the HF1: Bridgestone has taken the modern tendency to pump up “standard” lofts to very generous levels, and gone close to an extreme. While it’s an obvious confidence boost, this practice takes some getting used to — the 5-iron is really a standard 4-iron (almost a 3-iron, really), the 9-iron is an 8-and-a-half-iron and the pitching wedges are split into “P1” and “P2” versions with lofts of 38 and 44 degrees (rather than the old school 46 or 47). Even after making note of your new prodigious distances on the range, it could take a few holes of real combat to make the mental and strategic adjustments, lest you’ll find yourself airmailing many a green. But they are an absolutely joy to swing, especially for players prone to a big curve in either direction. They tend to guard against the extreme hook or slice thanks to serious stability at impact and smooth and shock-free response from the graphite shaft.

The HF1 is sold standard in 6 iron through A wedge (5-iron sold separately) for $849 per set; the HF2 is $899 for 5-iron through A-wedge (4-iron sold separately).

My biggest challenge moving forward? Which iron set to put in my bag on a more permanent basis. The older, slower swinger I’ve become pushes me toward the more forgiving H1, but so far I find the H2s are treating me just fine, thank you very much. It’s a great problem to have — and a welcome throwdown from a Bridgestone bunch who has clearly had a ball building these clubs.

Bridgestone Tour B JGR Driver Review

The Bridgestone Tour B JGR driver is very forgiving and easy to hit.  The combination of draw-biased head and lively shaft produce strong right-to-left ball flight.

Introduction

Even before it was officially announced, the new Bridgestone Tour B JGR driver was used by Brandt Snedeker to shoot a 59 and win the 2018 Wyndham Championship.  Will it be the driver that propels you to a new career low?  Will it be the driver that pushes Bridgestone’s clubs into the mainstream?  We tested one to try to find the answers.

At address, the Bridgestone Tour B JGR driver has a clean, modern look .  There are no alignment aids, and the crown is gloss black – a finish which has become a rarity.  My favorite visual thing about this driver is the way the scoring lines frame the ball.

The nods to modernity are the Boost Wave Crown and the modest crown graphics .  The driver is fairly long from front to back with a round, symmetrical shape.

Sound & Feel

The first thing that struck me about the Tour B JGR driver is how quiet impact is.  Bridgestone is clearly making an appeal to the better player with the understated, slightly bass-y tone .

Equally appealing is the solid feel.  Even when you get away from the center of the face, the hit feels strong.  There is some feedback, but this is a driver built to forgive those mishits, not expose them.

Performance

One thing I always look at before I start writing a review is the OEM’s page of technical notes.  I like to compare my notes to the claims that the company makes about the product.  In the case of the Tour B JGR driver, my notes and Bridgestone’s have a lot in common.

The first thing I noticed when testing was the draw bias .  Heel shots flew straight, and balls hit in the center of the face took a strong turn left.  Bridgestone states that there are 8 grams of external weighting and 25 grams of internal weighting placed to fight the fade.  It’s very effective.

As I was hitting draws (and the occasional hook), what surprised me was how high the ball was launching .  Typically, when I get it going left, the trajectory is noticeably lower.  Turning to Bridgestone’s notes, I see that’s the result of the Boost Wave Crown.  The crown flexes more at impact to produce that higher launch and create more carry distance.

Finally, I want to touch on the stock shaft.  The UST Recoil ES is lively .  This makes sense given that the Tour B JGR driver is meant as a game improvement club.  A more active shaft can promote a higher ball flight and help square the club face.  If you’re a faster swinger or someone who hits a natural draw, try to test this driver at a Club Champion where you can pair it with a more stout shaft.

If you like watching high draws fly down the fairway, the Bridgestone Tour B JGR driver may be worth a look.  Available in October of 2018, you’ll be able to demo this club through Bridgestone’s Test Drive  program or at any Club Champion location.

When will it be available in the uk ?

It goes to retail in early October in the US. I’m not sure about the UK.

Having had this driver in play now for over a month–I was selected to test it–I can say it’s every bit as forgiving as the high MOI Ping G400 Max that I have been playing all year, and just as long. I actually like the yellow grip, makes it stand out and am not bothered by the graphics on the toe end of the club. I mean when do you see that, either the head cover is on it, or you have it at address, where it’s not visible. So I think it’s fine.

I would love to try this driver. I have many many sets of Bridgestone drivers and iron sets and love them all. Anyone have any more feedback? I may go on the BStone site and just buy it.

I bought the Tour B JCR Rescue clubs 19, 22, 25 love them all! Great clubs and now thinking about getting rid of my Rogue Driver and getting one of the JCR drivers

I’ve had my JGR Driver for 2 seasons now and very happy with it . I’m 70 a 10 HC who usually fights a slice . This driver took care of that and the distance is better than my average.

I love this club!!! It gives me much more distance than my OLD Ping TSI which is about 20 years old. I was amazed at how much distance this driver gives me. My Ping was a 10 degree loft with a stiff shaft and since I have aged 20 years and am now 55 I have a regular shaft with a 10.5 degree shaft. I could not believe how far I was hitting the ball with this driver. I have to tee the ball up a tad lower and it goes a bit higher and a lot farther. I have just hit this on the driving range a couple of times and had both drivers with me and now my Ping is in the garage cabinet. Try it! I bought mine for less than $200 so I tried it and now I love it!

Hello, I have a Taylormade M2 and a Bridgestone JRG both at 12 degrees, which for me is slightly longer. Which head should I use for an Autoflex SF405 ? OR, should I get an Taylormade M6 head at 10.5 degree’s?

There’s no way for me {or anyone else) to knowledgably answer that without fitting you in person. If you hit the Bridgestone longer, I’d probably start there.

Moscow Metro 2019

Will it be easy to find my way in the Moscow Metro? It is a question many visitors ask themselves before hitting the streets of the Russian capital. As metro is the main means of transport in Moscow – fast, reliable and safe – having some skills in using it will help make your visit more successful and smooth. On top of this, it is the most beautiful metro in the world !

. There are over 220 stations and 15 lines in the Moscow Metro. It is open from 6 am to 1 am. Trains come very frequently: during the rush hour you won't wait for more than 90 seconds! Distances between stations are quite long – 1,5 to 2 or even 3 kilometers. Metro runs inside the city borders only. To get to the airport you will need to take an onground train - Aeroexpress.

RATES AND TICKETS

Paper ticket A fee is fixed and does not depend on how far you go. There are tickets for a number of trips: 1, 2 or 60 trips; or for a number of days: 1, 3 days or a month. Your trips are recorded on a paper ticket. Ifyou buy a ticket for several trips you can share it with your traveling partner passing it from one to the other at the turnstile.

On every station there is cashier and machines (you can switch it to English). Cards and cash are accepted. 1 trip - 55 RUB 2 trips - 110 RUB

Tickets for 60 trips and day passes are available only at the cashier's.

60 rides - 1900 RUB

1 day - 230 RUB 3 days - 438 RUB 30 days - 2170 RUB.

The cheapest way to travel is buying Troyka card . It is a plastic card you can top up for any amount at the machine or at the ticket office. With it every trip costs 38 RUB in the metro and 21 RUB in a bus. You can get the card in any ticket office. Be prepared to leave a deposit of 50 RUB. One turnstile at every station accept PayPass and payments with phones. It has a sticker with the logos and located next to the security's cabin.

GETTING ORIENTED

At the platfrom you will see one of these signs.

It indicates the line you are at now (line 6), shows the direction train run and the final stations. Numbers below there are of those lines you can change from this line.

In trains, stations are announced in Russian and English. In newer trains there are also visual indication of there you are on the line.

To change lines look for these signs. This one shows the way to line 2.

There are also signs on the platfrom. They will help you to havigate yourself. (To the lines 3 and 5 in this case).
