2023 St. Jude Dream Home officially ready to open its doors; welcomes families and friends to visit

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The 2023 St. Jude Dream Home is officially complete tonight!

The home built entirely out of love for the children of St. Jude is ready to welcome visitors and soon a new owner.

The 2023 St. Jude Dream Home is a 3-bedroom 3-and-a-half-bath home built in Arlington.

With top-of-the-line EVERYTHING!

The 3, 000 square feet house is worth more than half a million dollars.

But for the volunteers who took it from dirt to done, it is priceless.

Greg Bridges,  the Owner of Southern Serenity Homes says

“This home is a home that anybody would want to live in. It doesn’t matter whether you’re old, it doesn’t matter whether you’re young. it’s got something that everybody wants.”

The St. Jude Dream Home was built by Southern Serenity Homes. Volunteering their time since 2008 and raising more than $22 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“It’s just every year it’s becoming a bigger and bigger success. Memphis support with this home has become incredible.” Bridges says.

Tickets sold out in record time this year raising a record $1,850,000  for the hospital.

And in a matter of weeks, one lucky winner will be able to call this their dream home.

The annual Dream Home giveaway began with two friends who wanted to raffle a home for charity.

Susan Aguillard, The Dream Home giveaway chairman, said, “July 11, 2022, the dream home campaign. From the very first dream home to that date raised $600 million.”

All the funds raised during the Dream Home campaign go to St. Jude where no child pays for treatment, housing, travel, or food.

Starting Saturday you can tour this gorgeous home yourself.

“Tickets are sold, there are no more available tickets. However, people need to come to see this house. It’s fabulous, especially for those who have purchased tickets!” Aguillard said.

The 2023 St. Jude Dream Home is located at 5059 Porch Rock Cove in Arlington.

The St. Jude Dream Home lot is located on the south side of Summers Road, east of I-269. Follow I-40 to TN-205 N/Airline Road in Arlington. Take exit 24/25 from I-40 and keep left at the fork to continue on to exit 25. Turn left onto TN-205 N/Airline Road, then turn left onto Summers Road.

BILLINGS- When you walk into the 2023 St. Jude Dream Home, you’ll find open space, modern features and great light.

It's all the things Doug Wild with Classic Design Homes loves to deliver to a homeowner. But the Dream Home winner— that person gets all the careful construction coming from the heart.

“We donate all of our time, and everyone donates all of their time,” said Wild.

Nestled in the Legacy West Subdivision on the Billings West End, Wild says since the walls took shape and tickets went on sale interest has grown.

“There have been extra calls, and since then a lot more traffic,” he said.

MTN News even noticed a few people stopping by the house, driving by the location to check out what a $100 ticket will buy you.

And it's all impressive: four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a three-car garage, and two areas for laundry.

The home is roughly three weeks away from completion and now most recently installed is perhaps the crown jewel of the kitchen: the granite countertops that weigh about 600 pounds.

It’s a place Wild knows the home’s future family will gather often.

Donations go to help fund medical research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , to ensure that no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food.

“We keep saying some lucky winner and while yes, the person that wins it will be lucky,” said Wild. “But it’s a generous person because they are giving to St Jude.”

Tickets sold out for 2023 st. jude dream home giveaway; on-air drawing set for june.

BATON ROUGE - Tickets for a chance at winning this year's St. Jude Dream Home are officially sold out!

The final ticket was sold on Friday, April 28, making for one of the fastest sell-outs in the contest's history. Through the campaign, WBRZ and its viewers helped raise $1.2 million to fund the fight against childhood cancer and support patients' families. 

The Dream Home and other items — including a new car — will be given away on WBRZ Channel 2 on June 9. 

This year, WBRZ, St. Jude and construction partners are going big - one of the largest and highest-valued homes yet: A $775,000 abode in the Pointe-Marie planned community off River Road south of LSU.  The up-and-coming enviable neighborhood is 11 miles from downtown Baton Rouge, nestled at the end of a windy and picturesque drive from the city.

Built by Alvarez Construction, the home features four bedrooms and 3.5 baths.  It's just under 3,000 square feet.  

The home is located at 2860 Pointe-Marie Drive, Baton Rouge, La., 70820.  

All tickets are also entered into a drawing for a new car: A 2023 Genesis G70 from All Star Automotive. An additional prize deadline of March 31 offers contestants a chance for a $10,000 gift card from Assurance Financial.

It’s a big week for the 2024 St. Jude Dream Home; Open house tours start Saturday, May 4

M ONROE, LA (4/30/24)– We are officially one month away from giving away the 2024 St. Jude Dream Home to one lucky winner!! Tickets are still on sale, but over 75% have already sold, so get yours fast!

Just 2 months ago, the Monroe St. Jude Dream Home was a work in progress. Now, the home is receiving its final touches before it’s opened to the public and eventually given away to one lucky winner come May 30th. The home is valued at $450,000, has an estimated 2,600 square feet, sits on an acre of land, and offers 4 bedrooms and 3 baths.

This week, there are a few big things happening at the St. Jude Dream Home, including the start of open house tours!! Tuesday morning, Strickland Interiors started staging the home with furniture. The home will be completely furnished by Wednesday. Once the staging is complete, a ribbon cutting for the home will take place on Thursday, May 2nd at 4:00 pm in Sterlington’s new subdivision –DeSiard Trace.

Take a look at these photos provided by Strickland Interiors. These are updated pictures of what the Dream Home looks like. There is a large primary suite with a walk-in shower and free-standing tub. There is also an open kitchen with a hidden walk-in pantry, a spacious living room with a built-in fireplace, and a beautiful laundry room with some artistic tiling. And if you like to host parties, then the large covered outdoor patio is perfect for you!!

To end the week with a bang, Saturday, May 4th is the kick-off to open house tours!! Just for stopping by the house, you can register for free to win custom design services and furniture, valued at $10,000, courtesy of Sleepy Hollow Furniture. Open house tours will be open on Saturdays from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm and on Sundays from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm until May 26th. Then, in the final days leading up to the giveaway, the home will be open for tours from Monday, May 27th to Wednesday, May 29th from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm.

Nelly Korda shoots 69 in Founders, leaving her 6 shots back in bid for 6th LPGA Tour win in a row

CLIFTON, N.J. (AP) — Nelly Korda is going to have some work to do if she wants to win a record sixth straight LPGA tournament, especially the way Rose Zhang is playing. Korda shot a relatively mistake-free 3-under 69 early in the first round of the Cognizant Founders Cup on Thursday and then could only watch as the 20-year-old Zhang posted a tournament record-tying  63 in the afternoon to take the lead. In her winning streak, Korda has never trailed by more than eight strokes after the opening round. The 25-year-old is six back heading into the second round at the Upper Montclair Country Club.
