This is some seriously high quality VR video and photos, both 2d and stereoscopic. Each scene tries to employ some new interesting technique to add to that initial experience. The weather effects are interesting.

How to view your 3dvista tours offline.

This post aims to compile and organize all the available options for viewing your 3DVista tours without the need for an internet connection. Depending on your devices and needs, you can select the most suitable method for you. With this small guide, you can easily find the solution you need and connect with the instructions for each method in a clear and simple way.

For Windows or Mac devices:

Standalone player method.

This involves publishing the tour by selecting this mode in the publication options of VTPro. This will generate a single file (.EXE for PC and tar.bz2 for Mac) that you only need to execute to play it offline. On Windows, for files larger than 4GB additional files (7zip) will be created. You can also share this file(s) via email, wetransfer, dropbox, etc.

Method of downloading the tour from the browser itself

This involves accessing the published tour online and downloading it to your computer. To do this, you need to publish the tour and upload it online (on 3DVista's hosting or any other) by selecting the option "Display download Message for Offline Playing". Then access the tour online from the browser (Chrome or Edge) and download it from the top message that will appear on the tour. This will create an icon on your desktop and when you execute it, it will display your tour in full screen as if it were an app.

For Mobile or Tablet devices:

Using the 3dvista app (available on google play and app store).

This involves downloading and using the 3DVista app to view your tours. If you have them hosted on 3DVista's hosting, they will all appear in the Online tab, and from there you can select and download them so that they appear in the Offline tab. If you don't use 3DVista's hosting, you can publish the tours for "web/mobile" and copy the files to your phone/tablet in the 3DVista app folder. This way, when you open the app, it will recognize those tours and they will appear in the Offline tab for viewing.

This involves downloading and using the 3DVista VR app to view your tours. You must publish the tours for "web/mobile" and copy the files to your VR device in a new folder called 3dvista. This way, when you open the 3DVista VR app on your device, those tours will appear and you can view them offline .

Downloading the tour from the web browser

This involves accessing the tour published online and downloading it to your device. To do this, you need to publish the tour and upload it online (on the 3DVista hosting or any other) marking the option "Display download Message for Offline Playing". Then, access the tour online from the browser, save it to favorites, and download it from the top message that will appear in the tour. To view it online, you will only need to access the tour again from your favorites list.

OpenAI wowed the tech community and many in media and arts earlier this year — while also raising feathers of traditional videographers and artists — by showing off a new AI model called Sora that makes realistic, high-resolution and smooth video up to 60 seconds per clip.

The tech remains unreleased to the public for now — OpenAI said at the time , back in February 2024, that it was making Sora “available to red teamers to assess critical areas for harms or risks” and a selected small group of “visual artists, designers, and filmmakers.” But that hasn’t stopped some of the initial wave of users from making and publishing new projects with it.

Now, one of OpenAI’s handpicked Sora early access users, writer/director Paul Trillo, who was among the first in the world in March to demo third-party videos made with the model, has created what is being called the “ first official music video made with OpenAI’s Sora. ”

The video was made for indie chillwave musician Washed Out (Ernest Weatherly Greene Jr.) and his new single “The Hardest Part.” It is essentially a 4-minute long series of connected, quick zoom shots through different scenes that have all been stitched together to create the illusion of a continuous zoom. On his account on the social network X, Trillo posted that he’d first had the idea for the video 10 years ago, but abandoned it. He also replied to questions from his followers and stated that the video was made from 55 separate clips generated by Sora out of a pool of 700 total, and stitched together in Adobe Premiere.

Separately but relatedly, Adobe recently announced it was looking to add Sora and other third-party AI video generator models into its subscription Premiere Pro software, but no timeline has been set for this integration, so in the meantime, those looking to emulate Trillo’s workflow would have to generate AI video clips in other third-party software such as Runway or Pika (since Sora remains non-public) and then save and import them into Premiere. Not the end of the world, but not as seamless as it could be.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times , Washed Out/Greene said “I look forward to being able to incorporate some of this brand-new technology and seeing how that informs what I can come up with. So, if that’s pioneering, I would love to be part of that.” The interview also goes over some of the specific prompts used:

“ Greene needed to write prompts with enough specific details about not just the image itself but the shot angles and movements of the characters. ‘We zoom through the bubble it pops and we zoom through the bubblegum and enter an open football field,’ Trillo wrote as part of his prompt for one brief snippet of video. ‘The scene is moving rapidly, showing a front perspective, showing the students getting bigger and faster.’

Trillo also posted that used only the model’s text-to-video capabilities , rather than taking still images captured or generated elsewhere and feeding them into the AI to add motion (a popular tactic among artists in the quickly evolving AI video scene).

This example shows the power of Sora in creating media with AI and is a helpful rejoinder to the recently revealed information that another one of the first demo videos made by Canadian creative studio Shy Kids called “Air Head,” featuring a man with a balloon for a head, actually leaned heavily on other VFX and video editing tools such as rotoscoping in Adobe After Effects.

It also shows the continual appetite among some creatives — in music and video — to use new AI tools to express themselves and tell stories, despite many other creatives criticizing the technology and OpenAI in particular as being exploitative and violating copyright of human artists by scraping and training on their prior works without informed consent or compensation.

Forget anti-heroes ... a grandma in New Mexico is a full-blown hero after shooting an intruder who was on the run from cops -- right in the middle of Taylor Swift 's "Eras" flick!

Anissa Tinnin was watching the movie version of Taylor's tour with her granddaughter. They were having a great time, singing, dancing, popping M&M's ... when a guy named Joseph Rivera came charging through her front door. Turns out Rivera had allegedly stolen a car and cops were on to him.

Tinnin says she was manhandled, threatened and ordered to turn over her car keys, which she did. She says, "I told him not to hurt us ... I would do whatever he wanted."

She says when Rivera walked outside, she called 911 and beelined it for her gun case, where she removed a weapon.

For some reason, Rivera came back inside the house. By this time she had put her granddaughter in a bedroom for safety, but the guy came charging at her.

She screamed, "Get back. I will f***ing shoot you! " ... and she did. He asked why she did it, and Tinnin responded, "Because you're in my f***ing house!"

Tinnin even showed compassion, rendering first aid by putting pressure on the wound.

But, she warned Rivera ... one false move and she'd shoot again.

Cops showed up and Rivera is now in custody, charged with burglary, auto theft and other crimes.

Dude has 5 prior felony convictions for burglaries and theft, the stakes were high for Tinnin, and she rose to the occasion.

• Oculus Touch button A: activate a hotspot or menu choice, button B: switch between loaded tour and menu
• To add an online tour, use the menu button ≡ to open the settings menu and choose 'Add online tour'

Create your own tours with Pano2VR: Use Pano2VR to generate a tour, you can add a second HTML output if you want to keep one project file and use it for both web output and VR output.

• If you have a stereoscopic tour, in Pano2VR add a Tag called ‘stereo’ in User Data in at least one panorama (best practice to use the 1st panorama for this). VR Tourviewer needs this tag to display the tour in stereo
• Use output to HTML5
• in 'HTML' settings click the Tools icon and make sure you uncheck ‘Embedded XML’
• Use Single resolution output (for fastest loading times): In HTML Output 'Image' use 'Single Res', for optimal results use a Cube Face Size of 1536px
• For Multi resolution output: In HTML Output 'Image' use 'Multi Res', for optimal results use a tilesize of 510, and make sure there is a Level with width of 1536px
• The generated XML file will be used  by the app to find the images to load and to show the tour

The following features aren’t implemented (yet): skins, auto rotation (would cause instant nausea), auto change, transitions (nausea alarm too), context menu, control, preview. Please keep these limitations these in mind when creating/generating the output for VR Tourviewer.

Add tours on your device for offline viewing:

• For offline viewing: the app creates a ‘VRTourviewer’ (case sensitive) folder, by default here: C:\Program Files\VR Tourviewer Rift\VR Tourviewer Rift_Data\VRTourviewer\
• Copy your complete tours (including subfolders) to that folder, you can use subfolders to easily organize them.
