Objective: Increasing number of studies show an association between adult ADHD (a-ADHD) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We explored this association in alcohol use disorder (AUD) inpatients. Method: In total, 551 inpatients cross-sectionally completed self-administered questionnaires regarding sociodemographics, lifetime trauma exposure, PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 , Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS), and Wender Utah Rating Scale (WURS). We considered self-reported a-ADHD when ASRS and WURS had significant scores. Results: Prevalence for a-ADHD was 20%. PTSD prevalence was higher in a-ADHD patients (84% vs. 40%; p < .001). They also were younger ( p < .001) and women ( p = .015). Adult ADHD was associated with more traumatic events, and symptoms were correlated with PTSD severity. After adjusting for age, gender and marital status, PTSD severity was associated with a-ADHD. Conclusion: Our study confirms that a-ADHD is associated with PTSD in AUD inpatients, and thus, may represent a specific subpopulation. Future studies should explore implication of this dual diagnosis on AUD and treatment outcome.

Le Centre Moreau de Tours développe une activité autour de deux axes, la prise en charge ambulatoire des sujets dépendants aux substances psychoactives, comportementales et l'enseignement, la formation et la participation à la recherche en addictologie.

Le pôle Moreau de Tours est composé de 3 services (CSPA Sainte-Anne, CSAPA Maison d'arrêt Paris la Santé et ELA, le service de liaison en addictologie du GHU)

Son activité est diversifiée avec :.

• Des consultations médico-psychologiques spécialisées en addictologie générale; ces consultations sont gratuites, l'anonymat est possible, le matin sans rendez-vous, l'après-midi sur rendez-vous,
• Des prises en charge psychologiques individuelles et familiales,
• La délivrance sur place ou la prescription pharmaceutique des traitements de substitution,
• Des groupes de parole ou d'information pour les patients ou leur entourage,
• L'accès au plateau technique de l'hôpital : biologie, neuro-imagerie, consultations spécialisées,
• Un pôle d'enseignement, de recherche, de publications et d'expertises en Santé Publique,
• CSAPA référent, organisation de la prise en charge des relais de soins à la sortie de détention. 

Le service d'addictologie travaille en collaboration avec les services d'hospitalisations, médico-chirurgicales, les services de soins en santé mentale ou en addictologie, les médecins libéraux, des structures sociales.

Une consultation ouverte sans rendez-vous, par des médecins psychiatres ou addictologues  permettant une réponse rapide aux demandes de soins.

La dispensation par les infirmiers des traitements de substitution : Méthadone, Buprénorphine et autres traitements psychotropes ou à visée somatique.

L'après-midi

Les consultations spécialisées sur rendez-vous par l'équipe pluridisciplinaire (médecins, psychiatres, addictologues, psychologues et infirmiers) pour les consommateurs et leur entourage.

She is prompt in response, good in English, pleasant, made a point to meet us at least once face to face, suggesting best itinerary in our specific circumstances, thinking for the best in our shoes as non- Vietnamese speaking tourists. As an example, we are impressed that a special guide was arranged just to take us, with private van, from our hotel to the train station for departure to SAPA...not only to the train station but help us settle in our cabins...

Intro yours are always well prepared and so easy as a traveller to do. However when you get a tour guide like Adam Casey the tour becomes a breeze. Adam is one of those people who obviously love his job and that rubs off on those around him. His enthusiasm and passion for the country shone through in his amazing local knowledge talks he did in all locations and some brilliant recommendations every where we went. Organisation comes easy to Adam as we always had instructions verbally and sent to us with what we were doing the next day. This made travelling enjoyable and efficient as I knew when we would be leaving and when we could unpack. Adam personality fits being a tour leader perfectly. His bubbly, warm and charismatic ways made all travellers feel welcome and at home. Adam always has a friendly ear if you need help or if you’re just missing home that day. Not only this, Adam has some amazing dance moves which shone through when he guided us on our nights out in some of the locations. His willingness to be himself and let loose allowed the whole group to do the same, resulting in some amazing nights out. There is nothing that Adam can’t do, even after I left my bag on a bus it was back returned with me in a couple hours. Honestly he is a brilliant tour leader and if you have Adam Casey as your tour leader you will have an unbelievable time. Thank you so much to Adam for our time with you!

The Beauty of Northern Vietnam in 8 Days

Vietnam Tour Fun had been providing excellent service and support throughout our trip. Ms Mai Hoa started to connect with us a few days before we arrived Vietnam. She was contactable throughout the whole trip. We scheduled to have Halong Bay cruise in the last 2 days in our itinerary. However a typhoon was approaching Vietnam and the government announced no cruise was allowed to set sail for safety reason. Ms Mai Hoa immediately contacted us and offered alternative trips for choosing. The difference in the tour fee was refunded to us after our trip finished. We were very happy with the services of Vietnam Tour Fun and Ms Mai Hoa. We had a great time there.

Amazing trip. Even with multiple flight cancellations, Cathy found ways to get me out to Sapa and then back to Hanoi. My guide Chay got me up and down the mountain safely and quickly despite the intense rain which made the trek even more rewarding. I definitely recommend this trip.

What people love about Sapa Tours

Danny was very organised and conscientious throughout my whole tour! It was great to have different guides in the various places we visited as they had a lot of personal knowledge from growing up in the area. Cha, our guide in Sapa, was from a local tribe & taught me some of their language, and Guang, our Hanoi guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining. My dietary requirements were taken care of in each place, which made things a lot easier too. A wonderful tour overall which gives you a great introduction to the best places in Northern Vietnam!

I liked this tour so very much! I only had 8 days off work so this was perfect..! The North of Vietnam is beautiful..! My highlight was kayaking in Halong Bay-one of the 7 wonders of the world..! Jenny did an excellent job organising this for a solo traveller like me..! I was very happy with everything!!?

I was really apprehensive about going on my first solo trip, however, after meeting Bobby on day 1, I knew the trip was going to be great. Bobby is an absolute credit to Intro and to Vietnam. We really hit the jackpot in getting him as a tour guide! He’s caring, kind, patient and fun to be around. He went out of his way to make everyone feel included and comfortable, giving options for additional activities and recommendations in our free time. He also made himself available at all times. Having such a knowledgeable expert of Vietnam history, culture and language just made this trip exceptional. The tour itself was filled with a variety of places and activities. The accommodations were all great and varied making the experience even more unique. This trip is not for the faint hearted. You’re on the go a lot, but in return you see so much of Vietnam.
