Dan + Shay Extend Heartbreak on the Map Tour for Summer 2024

Dan + Shay 's 2024 Heartbreak on the Map Tour will extend through the summer. On Tuesday (Feb. 20), the country announced a whole new batch of dates, plus opening acts for the next leg of their tour.

Jake Owen and Dylan Marlowe are joining Dan + Shay on the road starting in mid-July, for kicking things off with a stop in Cincinnati. That'll be the first of 30 summer dates on the Heartbreak on the Map Tour, which concludes Sept. 21 — the very last official day of summer — in Greenwood Village, Colo.

The summer iteration of Dan + Shay's tour will follow their spring run , which is also called the Heartbreak on the Map Tour. Those dates kick off at the end of this month, and will feature opening performances from Ben Rector and Hailey Whitters .

The general on-sale date for the summer Heartbreak on the Map Tour is Friday (Feb. 23), but presale options start on Tuesday (Feb. 20) at noon local time.

3x GRAMMY Award-winning duo Dan + Shay plan their trek across the map with the announcement of their 2024 The Heartbreak On The Map Tour , with a stop at the United Center on March 22. Supporting Dan + Shay on this tour will be acclaimed singer-songwriters Ben Rector and Hailey Whitters .

The 19-city tour aptly receives its title from “Heartbreak On The Map,” the third song, and early fan-favorite contender, on the duo’s highly anticipated, fifth studio album, Bigger Houses, released on September 15 via Warner Music Nashville.

The long-awaited new music follows the duo’s record shattering, critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning, Platinum album, Good Things. Also co-produced by Smyers, the highly imaginative LP featured their most recent country radio No. 1’s – the Platinum-certified hits “I Should Probably Go To Bed” and 2x Platinum “Glad You Exist,” as well as the 5x Multi-Platinum global smash “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber. Good Things was also the first country album in the streaming era to achieve RIAA Gold certification at release and is one of the only 12 albums all-genre to be released and go Gold in 2021.

For the Dan + Shay concert, all guests with GA floor tickets will enter the United Center through any main gate once doors open at 5:30 PM. GA ticketholders do not need to arrive prior to 5:30 PM to get a wristband for the show.

Take I-55 North to the Damen exit and make a left, going northbound for approximately 7 minutes. The building will be on your right.

Take Madison Street west from the Loop.

Take I-290 East to exit 28A (Damen Avenue). Take Damen Avenue north to Madison Street. Make a right onto Madison Street and the building will be on your right.

Public Transportation

Take the Orange, Green, Purple, or Brown lines to Madison. Take #20 Madison buses west.

To the United Center : The #19 United Center Express Bus runs on game days. Service begins 90 minutes prior to game time, runs every 10 minutes until 30 minutes until start of game. Board at stops starting southbound on Michigan and Randolph. Connections are made with Metra trains at Millennium Station, Ogilvie Center and Union Station. The #20 Madison Bus travels west on Madison Street, starting downtown at Wabash Street and runs every few minutes, making all stops to the United Center.

From the United Center : The #19 United Center Express and the #20 Madison buses run every few minutes, departing from the eastbound side of Madison Street. Buses make all stops.

Suites Parking

Two reserved parking passes will be valid in lots C and K. The other two reserved parking passes will be for parking in lots A, B, D, or L. Holders of these passes will be directed to A, B, D, or L lots by traffic police and parking attendants based on traffic conditions. Parking passes are good for one space each. All parking passes are mobile entry only.

For all special events, each Executive Suite Holder will receive two complimentary parking passes per event ordered. These two passes will be for reserved parking located in lots C and K. In addition, Executive Suite Holders will also receive the option to purchase four additional parking passes in lots C and K for special events.

Suite Holder parking passes are also valid for buses or limousines under specific guidelines.

Lexus Club Parking

Lexus Club Seat members have reserved parking in fenced, well-lit and clearly marked parking lots adjacent to the United Center for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. All Lexus Club members who purchase tickets to other events may also purchase one preferred parking pass (in lot C or K) for such events. Details on how to obtain parking for other events are included with the fax transmission announcing each event.

Lexus Club Seat members with two to four tickets receive a complimentary, reserved parking space in a closed-in, paved lot for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. Lexus Club Seat members with five seats or more will be provided with two parking passes.

UBER ZONE FAQs:

What is the Uber Zone (Lot E) at the United Center? To increase and streamline the fan experience for guests who take Uber to and from the United Center, the new Uber Zone is located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street (Lot E) and will combine the three former Uber locations around the arena. Traffic leading to the three prior Uber pickup locations 1) Zone A, previously located on Wood Street & Washington Blvd. near Lot A, 2) Zone D, previously located on Monroe Street & S. Paulina Street near Lot D and 3) Zone F, previously located on Monroe Street & Seeley Ave. near Lot F will now be directed towards the one new Uber Zone in Lot E.

What is the location of the Uber Zone? The new Uber Zone at the United Center is located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Fans will enter and exit through the sidewalk entrance located on Madison Street and cars will enter the lot by turning into the Uber Zone from Madison Street. Cars will exit on Warren Blvd.

What are the hours of operation? On event days, the Uber Zone is open two hours prior to games, concerts and events and will remain open up to one hour after each event. On non-event days, the Uber Zone will be closed and Uber rides will be dropped off near the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street outside of the Uber Zone.

What is the pickup process for fans?

• Using the Uber app, fans inside the United Center will call an Uber ride.
• Guests will then head to the new Uber Zone located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street in front of the United Center.
• When arriving, fans will show the Uber attendant the lane number their driver is in.
• Fans will be shown the location where their Uber vehicle is located to start their next journey.

What is the dropoff process for fans? When Uber drivers arrive with guests at the United Center, they will be instructed to pull into the Uber Zone from the Madison Street side to drop off fans. Once exiting the vehicle, guests will walk out of the main entrance located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Guests can cross the street to the United Center and are encouraged to enter through the East Atrium.

Dan + Shay Announce 2024 Heartbreak on the Map Tour Ahead of New Album Release

The country-pop duo is hitting the road in the U.S. in support of their new album 'Bigger Houses'

Dan + Shay ’s new album Bigger Houses is due out Friday, and they’re already gearing up to play it live. 

On Thursday, the country music duo featuring Shay Mooney , 31, and Dan Smyers , 36, revealed they’re going on tour in 2024. The country-pop band announced The Heartbreak On The Map Tour, which features a string of 19 dates and is named after their recent single of the same name. 

The “For the Both of Us” pair will kick off their 2024 tour on Feb. 29 in Greenville, South Carolina and eventually wrap up in Boston on April 13. The tour will travel through much of the South and Midwest, then hit several cities on the East Coast, with stops in major cities including Austin, Nashville, Chicago and Philadelphia, among others.

For the entirety of the tour, the Grammy winners will be bringing along two special guests, singer-songwriters Ben Rector and Hailey Whitters .

Dan + Shay will drop their fifth studio album Bigger Houses on Friday (via Warner Music Nashville), which features the previously released title track and the single “Heartbreak on the Map.” 

Mooney and Smyers recently opened up to PEOPLE about the journey they had to take as friends and collaborators after a period of feeling like they had “fallen out of love with music” before making the new record.

Mooney told PEOPLE they decided, “We can part as friends because our friendship is the most important thing, or we can really hash this out and work on ourselves and make this a sustainable thing and a healthier thing moving forward. And that's what ended up happening.”

“Now when we get together, it's like we've rekindled that friendship that we had early on,” Smyers explained. "What are the odds when we were both struggling so much that we found each other, that our pace and styles and talents and abilities complement each other so well and that we've built something so real?”

“We've played a few shows recently and we're just able to celebrate it at the end. And I think us being close like we are now, it's just making the whole journey that much better,” Smyers added. “It feels like we've got a fresh start."

Ticket sales for The Heartbreak On The Map Tour will begin with the artist presale on Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. local time. Several other presales will follow throughout the week before the official public on-sale kicks off on Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. local time. It is not too late to make plans for a four-day weekend.

Fans can start that potential four-day weekend with a concert - Dan + Shay will bring their “Heartbreak on the Map” tour to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Thursday, April 11.

The country music duo, who have been appearing for their first time as judges on NBC’s “The Voice,” will release their new album, “Bigger Houses,” on Sept. 15. The album features “Save Me The Trouble” and the title song.

Dan + Shay have won three Grammy Awards. Their hit songs include “When I Pray For You,” “Tequila,” “Glad You Exist” and “Good Things.”

Can’t make the Philadelphia performance? No worries - they will be back.

Dan + Shay will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2,  at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown. That’s a Friday - make a weekend of it!

There will be multiple country music concerts in Pa. coming up this summer including Jelly Roll, Morgan Wallen, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, Kane Brown, Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean, Zach Bryan, Trace Adkins and Dierks Bentley.

As Wilson says, “Country’s Cool Again.” Catch her at the York State Fair on July 21.

Wallen will be at Hersheypark Stadium on May 9 and Citizens Bank Park in  Philadelphia on May 11.

Chesney will be at Acrisure Stadium in  Pittsburgh on June 1  and at Lincoln Financial Field in  Philadelphia on June 8  - with the Zac Brown Band.

Jelly Roll will perform Oct. 1 at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Oct. 2 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia and Oct. 5 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

For enhanced safety and speed of entry, we strongly discourage guests from bringing bags to events. All fans are urged to arrive early and travel light.

If a bag is necessary, the following restrictions and processes apply:

• Backpacks of any size are considered prohibited items and are NOT allowed into the arena.
• Bags that measure larger than 12”x12”x6” are prohibited and are NOT allowed into the arena.
• Bags that measure between 6”x4”x1.5” and 12”x 12”x6” (including clear bags and Nashville Locker Room bags) are subject to x-ray screening and visual inspection. 
• Bags that measure smaller than 6” x 4” x 1.5” may proceed through express screening lanes for visual inspection.  
• Diaper bags and bags needed for medical reasons are allowed but will be subject to x-ray screening.

3x GRAMMY Award-winning duo Dan + Shay have planned their trek across the map with their 2024 The Heartbreak On The Map Tour. Supporting Dan + Shay on this tour will be acclaimed singer-songwriters Ben Rector and Hailey Whitters .

The 19-city tour aptly receives its title from “ Heartbreak On The Map ,” the third song, and early fan-favorite contender, on the duo’s fifth studio album, Bigger Houses .

The long-awaited new music follows the duo’s record shattering, critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning, Platinum album, Good Things . Also co-produced by Smyers, the highly imaginative LP featured their most recent country radio No. 1’s – the Platinum-certified hits “I Should Probably Go To Bed” and 2x Platinum “Glad You Exist,” as well as the 5x Multi-Platinum global smash “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber. Good Things was also the first country album in the streaming era to achieve RIAA Gold certification at release and is one of the only 12 albums all-genre to be released and go Gold in 2021.

For safety and speed of entry, we strongly discourage guests from bringing bags of any kind to events at Xcel Energy Center. Purses no larger than 12” x 12” x 6” are allowed at designated X-ray entry points. Review: THE HEARTBREAK ON THE MAP TOUR WITH DAN + SHAY at Xcel Energy Center

Dan + Shay , the American Country Pop duo comprising Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, graced the stage to a sold out crowd at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota, marking their return to where they headlined their inaugural show a decade ago. The Heartbreak on the Map tour kicked off with dynamic performances by Hailey Whitters and Ben Rector , setting the stage for the main event.

As anticipation mounted, the stage, shaped like a plus symbol, was illuminated by a lone backlight, casting Dan + Shay in silhouette as they made their grand entrance to the deafening cheers of the Xcel crowd.

Opening their set with hits like "Save Me The Trouble," "Alone Together," and "All to Myself," Dan + Shay wasted no time igniting the audience's excitement. Behind them, large screens adorned the stage, projecting captivating scenery, photos, videos, and shots of the ecstatic crowd. Concert review: Dan + Shay deliver high-energy cheer at Xcel Energy Center

C ountry duo Dan + Shay emerged from beneath the stage Friday night at St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center, dramatically lit from behind and strutting to the final notes of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” a song about betrayal.

Yet the 100-minute show that followed offered nothing but merry, breezy and infectious country/pop songs that had the capacity crowd glowing. The vibe felt a lot like it did back during the pair’s first local headlining arena show when they filled Target Center in September 2021 and gave each other a number of seemingly spontaneous hugs. (It was one of the first major country tours to hit the road after COVID restrictions began to lift.)

Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney first met in 2012 as aspiring songwriters living in Nashville. They hit it off, began writing together the next day and within two months had multiple offers for publishing deals. A year later, they issued their debut single “19 You + Me” and watched it sail into the Top 10. Friday night they played it and nearly every one of their 15 hit singles that have since followed, along with a few tracks from last year’s “Bigger Houses” album.

While Dan + Shay do occasionally mention alcohol in their songs — their biggest hit and perennial show-closer is 2018’s “Tequila” — they have little in common with the bro country that has been clogging up the charts over the past decade. The duo come across more like a 21st century Hall and Oates with a slight twang than peers of Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean. (In October 2022, Mooney took to Instagram to announce he had lost 50 pounds in large part due to cutting booze and sugar out of his diet. Friday, Smyers cracked a gentle joke about Mooney showing off his abs to the crowd.)

These guys sing about falling in love, getting married and feeling gratitude. The selections they played Friday say it all: “Alone Together,” “All of Myself,” “Show You Off,” “Heaven + Back,” “Nothin’ Like You,” “Glad You Exist” and so on.

The most overtly country song of the night, “We Should Get Married,” would have been the highlight of a night of line dancing at a ’90s country bar. They followed it with “From the Ground Up” and Mooney almost teared up as he told the crowd the song was inspired by the love shared by the pair’s grandparents. As he did several times throughout the night, he showered the audience with praise: “Thank you for changing our lives every single day!”

Yes, Dan + Shay’s endless cheer and claims that Twin Cities crowds are the greatest ever can start to feel forced. It was also a bit over-the-top when Mooney almost broke into tears a second time. But they clearly know what they’re doing and what their followers want from them. If nothing else, it was a pleasure watching them barrel through a cover of the Killers’ “Mr. Brightside” with more energy and verve than I’ve ever seen from the band that wrote it.

North Jersey traffic - Dan + Shay at Prudential, GWB construction, road work on I-80, 287

Dan + Shay and Chris Tomlin perform at the Prudential Center on Friday and next Thursday, respectively. The Devils have a home game on Monday.

Scheduled construction, road maintenance, utility work, road work and drainage improvement will cause daytime lane closures on the George Washington Bridge; interstates 80 and 287; U.S. highways 1&9, 46 and 206; and state routes 4, 17, 20, 23 and 440.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation is repairing potholes statewide. Motorists can expect to see crews repairing roadways at any time during the day.

At Red Bull Arena, the New York Red Bulls have a home game on Saturday and NJ/NY Gotham plays on Sunday.

The Jersey City Marathon will close several local roads on Sunday.

• In eastern Bergen, there may be minor flooding on roads and low lying properties near the waterfront and shoreline.

• Construction on the George Washington Bridge upper level eastbound closes the right lane, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 12.
• On Route 9W southbound, the right lane will be closed for construction on between routes 1&9 and 46/I-95 in Fort Lee and Hollywood Avenue in Englewood Cliffs, 9 p.m. April 12 to 6 a.m. through April 13.
• Utility work will close portions of local roads in Tenafly, Bergenfield and Englewood on April 12.

• On Route 3 westbound, construction, installation of conduits and bridge work will close up to two lanes between the New Jersey Turnpike in Secaucus and Paterson Plank Road in East Rutherford, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through April 13, and April 15 through April 20.

• On Route 20, construction closes the left lane in both directions between 21st Avenue and E. 30th Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 12.
• Drainage improvements and utility work on Route 46 will close all lanes intermittently in both directions between the Garden State Parkway and Piaget Avenue in Clifton, 9 p.m. April 12 to 6 a.m. April 13.

Sussex County traffic

• Construction on Route 206 closes the northbound right lane near Newton Avenue in Frankford, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 12.
• Construction on Route 94 will close all southbound lanes near Route 206 in Newton, 8 p.m. April 12 to 5:30 a.m. April 13.
