Just wanted to give some feedback on the operator I traveled with in Turmenistan: DN Tours.

Traveling with my guide, Diana (21 years old), felt like traveling with a friend, as I am a woman in my 20s. I had not specifically requested to have a female guide around my age, but I thought it was very sensitive of Gulnara to arrange for her to be my guide, as we definitely had a lot to talk about and it was interesting to get to hear her perspective on Turkmen society. They also have other guides who speak different languages (French, German etc.). Although I usually travel solo and I enjoy being alone, I have to admit that having a guide made things easier, as I would have struggled with the language (Russian and Turkmen only) and I would not have learned as much about the country if I had been alone. I enjoyed learning about Turkmenistan, and Darvaza crater was a stunning experience I'll remember all my life.

The food was also great and the whole trip (train, car ) was very comfortable. Tours are tailor-made and they are a great value for money. I would strongly recommend this company to everyone.

I even had the chance to get to know Gulnara, the manager, personally as she was my guide for the last day in Ashgabat - a very sympathic person. During preparation for the trip, I had a lot of questions and she always responded in a very short time. And yes, prices were better than other offers we got. We payed only after we got our Letter of Invitation. We had a very tight program and still managed to see all the places we agreed to. From a long experience of travelling I can say that it was one of the most professional contacts I ever had, very reliable and customer-oriented - not to compare to old Soviet-time Intourist-mentality.

Turkmenistan might not be the easiest country to travel to and I can just guess how difficult it is to organize tours for foreigners. They managed to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended!

How did you managed to leave Uzbekistan via Farab, and then re-enter Uzbekistan via Dashoguz?

Did you have to apply for a multi-entry visa or did you get two single entry visas?

You need at least double entry visa to Uzbekistan

A business visa, also known as a commercial visa or work visa in Vietnam, is issued to foreigners entering Vietnam for work, business, investment, or other work-related purposes.

This article provides guidance on the requirements, documentation, and procedures for obtaining a business visa for foreign nationals traveling to Vietnam, offering you a comprehensive overview of the Vietnam business visa.

What is a Vietnam Business Visa?

A business visa, also referred to as a commercial or business visa. It is granted to foreign nationals entering Vietnam for employment with a company or an organization that serves as their sponsor.

Visa Categories: DN1 and DN2

Vietnam business visas are categorized as DN1 and DN2 (formerly known as DN visas) and are issued for the following purposes:

• DN1 Visa: Issued to foreign nationals working for companies or other legal entities according to Vietnamese laws.
• DN2 Visa: Issued to foreign nationals who enter Vietnam to sell services, establish commercial presence, or perform other activities according to international agreements of which Vietnam is a member.

Requirements for Obtaining a Vietnam Business Visa

To apply for a Vietnam business visa (DN1 or DN2), foreign nationals must meet the following requirements:

• Have a business or company in Vietnam to sponsor their visa.
• Possess a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry into Vietnam and at least 2 blank pages.
• Not be on the list of restricted entry individuals.

Validity of Vietnam Business Visa

Business visas (Business Visa) can be issued for a duration of 1 to 3 months. They include 1-month single-entry, 1-month multiple-entry, 3-month single-entry, and 3-month multiple-entry options.

Procedures for Obtaining DN1 and DN2 Business Visas in Vietnam

Organizations and companies inviting and sponsoring foreign nationals to work in Vietnam must prepare and submit the documentation required for the issuance of DN1 and DN2 business visas.

Foreign nationals seeking to obtain a Vietnam business visa fall into two categories:

Case 1: Foreign nationals residing abroad who wish to apply for a Vietnam business visa. The prescribed procedures are as follows

The application for a Business Visa (DN1) for foreign nationals includes the following documents:

• A letter of request for entry approval for the foreign national (Form NA2).
• Introduction letter with the official seal and signature of an authorized representative of the sponsoring organization (Form NA16).
• A notarized copy certifying the business registration certificate of the sponsoring organization.
• Work schedule of the foreign national at the organization or company.
• Introduction letter for the employee submitting the application.

Various Forms of Business Visa Applications for Foreigners

For the case of foreigners who are currently abroad and wish to apply for a Vietnamese business visa, there are three main methods of visa application as follows:

Business Visa Application Procedure in Vietnam through the Vietnamese Diplomatic Mission/Consulate in the Foreign Country

This is also known as the procedure for applying for an entry permit to Vietnam. After obtaining the entry permit, the applicant will be issued a business visa at the Vietnamese Diplomatic Mission/Consulate in their home country.

Step 1: Submission of Business Visa Application

The sponsoring company in Vietnam will prepare the following documents and submit them to the Vietnamese Immigration Department to request an entry permit:

• A photocopy of the passport of the foreigner applying for the visa.
• A certified copy of the Business Registration Certificate of the sponsoring company.
• Entry permit application letter for the foreigner (Form NA2).
• Form NA16 and other required documents as per regulations.

The processing time for reviewing and issuing the entry permit is approximately 5 to 7 working days from the date when the Vietnamese Immigration Department receives a complete and valid application.

Step 2: Issuance of Business Visa at the Vietnamese Diplomatic Mission/Consulate

Once the entry permit is granted, a faxed request for visa issuance, along with the necessary documents, will be sent to the office of the Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate where the applicant has applied.

The process is straightforward and involves presenting the following documents:

• Visa application form as per requirements.
• Original passport.
• Passport-sized photos.
• Visa stamping fee (varies depending on the specific Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate).

Subsequently, the business visa for Vietnam will be affixed to the applicant’s passport.

Business Visa Application Procedure at the Airport in Vietnam

Step 1: Request for Entry Guarantee Letter

The sponsoring company in Vietnam will submit an application for an entry guarantee letter to the Vietnamese Immigration Department. The results will be sent to the foreigner in the form of a PDF file for preparation before arrival.

Step 2: Visa Stamping at the Airport

Foreigners should prepare the following documents:

• A printed copy of the entry guarantee letter.
• A completed visa application form with all required information, signature, and attached photo as per regulations.
• Visa stamping fee: USD 25 for single-entry visas and USD 50 for multiple-entry visas with a maximum validity of 3 months.

Upon arrival at a Vietnamese airport, foreigners will proceed to the Airport Visa counter, where they will present the required documents to Immigration Officers. They will then pay the visa stamping fee to have the DN1/DN2 business visa stamped onto their passport and complete the entry procedures for Vietnam.

Business Visa Application Procedure Online

This type of visa is only available to citizens of 80 specific countries.

The e-commerce business visa is valid for 30 days, for a single entry, and cannot be extended while in Vietnam. If a foreigner wishes to continue staying in Vietnam, they must exit Vietnam and return with a new visa. This process is known as a “visa run” and can be time-consuming, labor-intensive, and costly.

Foreigners can either apply for an e-commerce visa on their own or have a sponsoring company apply on their behalf and send them the necessary documents to enter Vietnam.

Case 2: Foreigners Already in Vietnam Applying for a Business Visa

The application requirements for this case include:

• A letter of request for a visa for the foreign national (Form NA5).
• Introduction letter with the official seal and signature of the authorized person from the sponsoring organization (Form NA16).
• A certified copy of the Business Registration Certificate of the sponsoring organization or business that is vouching for the foreigner.
• The work schedule of the foreigner at the sponsoring organization or business.
• An employee introduction letter for submitting the application.

After preparing the required documents for sponsoring the foreigner, you can submit them to either of the following two authorities:

• The Immigration Department of Vietnam.
• The Provincial or Municipal Immigration Department where the sponsoring organization or business is headquartered.

The processing time for business visa applications is approximately 5-7 working days from the date of receiving a complete and valid application.
