Wycieczka Magia Izraela była bardzo udana i jest godna polecenia wszystkim,którzy interesują się historią biblijną.Program bogaty i zrealizowany w 100%,a największym atutem imprezy była wspaniała Zuzia,przewodniczka o ogromnej wiedzy i zaangażowaniu,a przy tym osoba bardzo życzliwa, cierpliwa i pomocna w różnych niezależnych od niej perypetiach.Dziękujemy Zuziu za wspaniały tydzień

Wróciłem 2 tygodnie temu z Jordanii. Jestem bardzo zadowolony. Poza słabą jakością hotelu Fanar Palace w Ammanie nie mam zastrzeżeń. Bez problemu doplacilbym kilkaset złotych więcej za lepszy hotel na te dwie noce. Pilotka Agnieszka i lokalna rezydentka Amina bardzo pomocne i zorganizowane. Kraj ciekawy i warty zwiedzenia.

Wycieczka była bardzo dobrze zorganizowana, miała ciekawy i różnorodny program. Zuzanna nasza pilotka posiadała bardzo dużą wiedzę, przez co ciekawie opowiadała. Regionalne Panie przewodniczki i kierowca autobusu stanęli na wysokości zadania. Dziękujemy. Wspaniały kraj wspaniali ludzie przepiękne krajobrazy super jedzenie. Polecam z całego serca!!! Na pewno wrócę jeszcze do Gruzji!

Indie w pigułce 4-11marca 2020.bardzo zadowolona z wycieczki.Lot bezpośredni z W-awy do Delhi to 6 godzin. Samolot LOT luksusowy nawet w klasie economy. Nawet małe piwko było za free.Hotele moim zdaniem były w porządku. Jedynie w ostatnim dniu hotel z nieprzyjemnym zapachem w pokoju. Ecco travel Może warto rozważyć inny hotel? Wszystkie hotele z wyglądu i wyposażenia pokoi ładne. Najbardziej ekskluzywny był hotel w jaipurze. Wielkie apartamenty z dwoma łazienkami. Tylko w tym hotelu napoje do obiadokolacji były płatne więc można zabrać wodę z pokoju. To nie problem przy tak luksusowym hotelu. W tym jedynym hotelu można było siedzieć przed hotelem i pić całą grupą alko podczas wieczorku zapoznawczego. Jedzenie bardzo dobre. Stoły nie uginały się pod ilością żarcia ale zawsze coś było. Wysrczy poczekać aż obsługa doniesie kojelna partie. Mimo, że nie jadam pikantnych rzeczy to dałam radę. Cudowne było to, że w hotelach podawali swoją kuchnie a nie Europejską. Dzięki temu też poznawaliśmy ten kraj. W autokarze mogliśmy zostawiać wartościowe rzeczy. Kierowca i jego pomocnik pilnowali. Uczynni, mili i uśmiechnięci miejscowi. Indyjski przewodnik również i do tego przystojny 🙂 przewodniczka Ania – klasa!!! Ogromna wiedza z dodatkiem humoru. Super, że był czas w każdym miejscu na zdjęcia. Nie trzeba było latać w panice czy na szybko aby zrobić zdjęcia. Ania najpierw odpowiada a potem jest czas wolny na fotki (prócz jednej sytuacji) . Życzę sobie aby wszyscy przewodnicy tak robili. Program ok. Zrealizowany na 100%.

Z ecco travel byliśmy na Islandia – kraina żywiołów i była to jedna z lepszych naszych wycieczek. Bogaty program wycieczki plus super piloci Karolina i Michał, którzy dodali sporo fajnych bonusów od siebie (również tych mniej obleganych miejsc przez turystów). Dodatkowo warto wspomnieć, że w ciekawy sposób potrafią przedstawić życie i zwyczaje panujące na Islandii.

Oferta biura na wycieczkę objazdową Magia Jordanii była zgodna z przedstawioną ofertą,jedynym mankamentem była zmiana terminu wyjazdu spowodowana zbyt małą ilością uczestników.Wysokie kompetencje oraz zaangażowanie pracowników biura Wakacji.pl ,które pośredniczyło w zakupie oferty z biura Ecco Travel sprawiło,że jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni .Organizacja wycieczki przez Ecco Travel na wysokim poziomie,program zwiedzania,transfery,hotele oraz wspaniałe panie pilotki,Pani Edyta i Amira.Super,dziękuję

Hotel Stamatia,Ayia Napa.Hotel dobry.Polecam.Ocena biura 6, 5/10. Byłoby 10 gdyby nie stres na lotnisku.W panelu klienta sa wszystkie potrzebne materiały.Było wyraźnie napisane,że po przylocie mamy szukać stanowiska Delta Wings w hali przylotów.Stanowisko widać.Byliśmy tam 20 min.Nikogo tam nie było.Prawie wszyscy turyści z samolotu się rozeszli,tam dalej nikogo nie było.Szukaliśmy na zewnątrz Delta Wings.Nie było. Cudem okazało się, że p. z Grecosa nas mają na liście.Trzeba było to napisać!

Byliśmy na wycieczce Magia Jordani. Hotele w porządku, jedzenie i organizacja biura też. Atutem tej wycieczki była Patrycja, która jest skarbnicą wiedzy o Jordanii, jest bezpośrednia, pomocna, empatyczna. Były małe klopoty z autobusem, Patrycja zaraz sprawnie załatwiła nowy. Były problemy zdrowotne, też nie zostawiła na tym problemem. Planujemy kolejne wakacje do Izraela oczywiście z Patrycją.

Bajeczny Wietnam z przewodnikiem Panem Pawłem, to przyjemność. którą polecam przeżyć. Interesujący, zawsze żywo zainteresowany, nie pozostawiał naszych pytań bez odpowiedzi. Obszerna wiedza oraz łatwość posługiwania się kilkoma języki . Ogólnie Crem de la Crem – jakkolwiek się to pisze ! Polecam z całego serca !

Religious And Adventurous Tour

I went to Nepal after 2 years of Covid-19. A 14-day tour plan was made from May 20 to June 2, 2022. The entire tour was done with Bullet. This religious and adventure tour plan included Manakamana Temple Darshan Mugling, Kathmandu city sight seeing, Pashupatinath Darshan, Bhaktapur Visit, Pokhara Sight seeing and Muktinath Darshan Via jomsom. The entire tour plan was arranged by Eco Holidays Nepal. In Nepal, hotel stay, food and remote area permits were arranged by Eco Holidays Nepal! Mr. Dhruba Dharel ji, operator of Eco Holidays Nepal, is a very nice person! There is no better option than Eco Holiday to visit any place in Nepal. Heaven is myth Nepal is real. Memorable trip to Nepal!!

I visited Nepal in January and did my memorable trip. I chose to do the trek to ABC first and planned next short trip to another beautiful place Kalinchowk later. The trip to annapurna was just superb. I was there with my amazing guide Ganesh, very informative and knowledgeable. Thank you Dhruba for perfect arrangement for both ABC and kalinchwok. Bardiya and Lumbini trip.

I visited Bardiya National Park and Lumbini in early December with my husband. Eco Holidays travel company helped us to arranged Hotel and Transports. Everything was nice and love it. Bardiya National Park was amazing where we spent 4 days. We did all jungle activities. We enjoyed very much during this trip. we were so happy with Eco Holidays and recommonded this company.

Annapurna Base Camp & Everest Base Camp

I booked my trek to Annapurna Base Camp with EcoholidaysNepal recently. This was my second trek with them. My first one was just before covid, in 2019. Since then I’ve been itching to get a glimpse of the gigantic Himalayas. Dhruba and his team, especially guides like Sagar and Sushil, are exceptional. Had a wonderful time up in the mountains and hope I get to do more treks with them in the future.

Excellent services with friendly staff

I visited some nice places around Kathmandu(Kathmandu Square, Bhaktapur, Nagarkot and other beautiful places). I took helicopter tour to Everest Base Camp which was the most memoriable trip. All staff were very frindly as well as owner.

Everest Three Pass Trek

It was my second Trek with Eco Holidays Nepal. Me and my wife did Everest Three Pass Trek which was arranged by Eco Holidays Nepal. My guide Suman himself came to airport for pick up and welcomed very warmly. They booked us Hotel Arushi Boutique it was super and very kind staffs. Next morning our Guide Suman picked us from Hotel and we ready for fly to Lukla and it was smooth flight with lovely views. From Lukla our trek started with included new member (Porter)Kami Sherpa then we became 4 person in total. My guide during trek always smiley, helpful and provided information about Everest Regions and the main things was every evening he checked our Oxygen level which was very good. During trek he managed our Food, Tea House and other necessary things. Our Porter always smiley and very strong. He was so kind and honesty. We all were lucky because of perfect weather during all passes and not any other problems. Very happy and thanks our Guide and Porter. Enjoyed very much and highly recommended.

An Incredible Trek

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek was incredible. From the day I landed in Nepal, Dhruba and his team were very helpful and easy to deal with. If you’re buying new things for your trip, be sure to leave any unnecessary packaging in your home country. There, the waste management system is likely to be better equipped for recycling the waste. Even better, buy second-hand items or borrow what you need – this will reduce the packaging as well as the unseen waste associated with new consumer products (which can be 70x that of what we actually throw out ourselves!)

If you pack it in, pack it out

If possible, take waste back home with you where it can be appropriately dealt with. This is even more important for toxic things like camera batteries or e-waste, which might end up polluting Nepal’s amazing environment and fertile soil. Even better, travelling with a set or two of rechargeable batteries would reduce that waste.

Refill your water bottle

One of the biggest sources of plastic pollution in Nepal is water bottles. On treks, it is often possible to buy boiled water, but this is not available on all treks, and some people do not feel comfortable drinking this. In Kathmandu you can often find places to refill drinking water from 20 litre water dispensers that are refilled and reused.

While it is really important to ensure the water you drink is safe, why not treat your own water? There are variety of options: a water filter or UV filter (bringing these from home is more reliable than purchasing them in Nepal, to ensure they’re genuine), or water purification tablets/drops (such as Piyush, Katadyne) from supermarkets, pharmacies, and trekking shops. The latter are cheap but can leave a slight chlorine flavour in your water. If you treat water yourself, you can be certain it’s properly treated and you won’t need to buy a plethora of plastic bottles.

Come prepared… and prepared to say “no”

A great travel waste-minimisation kit for Nepal includes:

• a reusable coffee cup
• tupperware/tiffin box for takeaways and leftovers
• cloth shopping bag(s)
• cloth napkin (can use as a napkin, or to wrap or carry things)
• reusable straw
• refillable water bottle
• water filter.

If someone is in the process of giving you some unnecessary waste like a plastic bag or straw, you can simply say “pardaina” (Nepali for “I don’t need it”).

Avoid micro-plastics

Despite their small size, micro-plastics are a massive concern. This is because they can literally end up anywhere – drinking water sources, oceans, beaches and seafood. Some products that contain “microbeads” are face wash, body wash, chewing gum, and toothpaste. Then there are micro-plastic fibres that rub off synthetic clothing during washing, and likewise end up anywhere and everywhere.

To avoid micro pollution, check product labels carefully and try to buy clothing made from natural fibres (e.g. cotton, wool, silk, hemp, linen) as much as possible. If buying wool in Nepal, you can do a ‘burn test’ to see whether it is real wool or a synthetic acrylic fibre.

If you need technical gear that is only available in synthetic fibres, research shows that high-quality gear sheds fewer fibres than low-quality fabrics, so try to buy originals rather than low-quality knock-offs.

Again, you could also avoid pollution associated with buying new by borrowing from a friend or hiring equipment at a low cost from trekking shops and companies in Thamel.

Invisible pollution

Flying also creates pollution in the form of carbon emissions, contributing to the greenhouse effect and climate change. Having said that, travel can be beneficial both for individual travellers (to expand their worldviews and life experiences) and communities (by providing income to Nepali communities).

One way to reduce carbon emissions from travelling is to take longer, but less frequent, overseas holidays. So save up your leave and take an epic long trip to Nepal!

Another way is to use public transport in-country as much as possible, rather than individual cars or planes.

Finally, consider off-setting your carbon emissions through a certified carbon offset scheme. Although carbon offsets are not perfect for a number of reasons, they are definitely better than nothing!

Remember, it’s not about being perfect. It’s about increasing the actions and choices that contribute to less pollution. Each one of these will leave Nepal more beautiful for future generations.

Jednak mimo wszystko zobaczyliśmy nie tylko wspaniałe zabytki Jordanii, ale mieliśmy trochę czasu na wypoczynek nad Morzem Martwym i Czerwonym - polecam tą wycieczkę ale z innym pilotem. Niestety absolutnie nie polecam wycieczki fakultatywnej "Amman Nocą" - za 30 USD herbata z torebki i kawałek placka z owczego sera i godzinny spacer to jakaś porażka. Fatalny hotel Fanar w Ammanie, natomiast hotele nad morzem Martwym i Czerwonym bardzo przyzwoite. Zalety Przyzwoite hotele nad morzem Martwym i Czerwonym, trochę czasu na odpoczynek Wady Fatalny pilot Michał - mam nadzieję nigdy go więcej nie spotkać. Zbyt mało czasu w Petrze oraz na pustyni. Tragiczny hotel Fanar w Ammanie. Generalnie przeznaczeniu czasu na zwiedzanie Ammanu to porażka, a już wycieczka fakultatywna "Amman nocą" za 30 USD to jakiś dramat - proszę się nie dać na nią nabrać.

Z ecco travel byliśmy na Islandia - kraina żywiołów i była to jedna z lepszych naszych wycieczek. Bogaty program wycieczki plus super piloci Karlina i Michał, którzy dodali sporo fajnych bonusów od siebie (również tych mniej obleganych miejsc przez turystów). Dodatkowo warto wspomnieć, że w ciekawy sposób potrafią przedstawić życie i zwyczaje panujące na Islandii.

14. IV br zarezerwowałem wycieczkę Gruzja od A do Z za 3086 zł. Czekałem na umowę. 18.IV pani z biura firmy zadzwoniła i powiedziała, że dokumentów nie wyśle, gdyż wycieczka podrożała do prawie 3800 zł. Trzeba bardzo uważać na tę firmę i ich oferty.

Firma często zmienia ceny wycieczek. Ma kilka stron internetowych, aby zwerbować większą ilość klientów. Niestety, nie umie stworzyć algorytmu, który zmienia ceny na wszystkich jej stronach jednocześnie. To powoduje problemy. Zarezerwowałem na ich stronie wycieczkę za 3086 zł i czekałem na dokumenty. Otrzymałem odpowiedź, że na stronie jest błąd i wycieczka kosztuje już prawie 3800 zł. Trudno uwierzyć, że tak jest naprawdę. Skoro firma nie umie sobie poradzić z prostym algorytmem, to jak ma sobie poradzić z organizacją dużej wycieczki?!? Licho...

Zarezerowałam pokój 3-gwiazdkowy na Cyprze z dodatkowymi obiadokolacjami. Nie był to żaden hotel, co najwyżej robotniczy. Brud, zdezelowane meble, wanna pozlepiana gipsem, masakra. Jedzenie było totalnie niejadalne. Ecco mi odpisują, że wszystko jest ok i nie mieli żadnych skarg nigdy (co jest nieprawdą, bo rezydent od razu przyznał, że wszyscy narzekają)

Z wycieczki Magia Izraela w grudniu jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni, organizacja tak jak w opisie, hotel też w porządku, cała grupa to fajni ludzie.Nasza pilotka Zosia posiada ogromną wiedzę i jest super. Cała wycieczka odbyła się bez najmniejszego problemu. Polecam.

Właśnie wróciliśmy z wycieczki organizowanej z Ecco Travel do Jordanii. Hotel ogólnie w porządku, z gododnie z opisem, piękny widok oraz dostęp do wielu miejsc. Niespodzianka były animacje dla dzieci. Jedzenie w hotelach natomiast dramat spodziewaliśmy się lepszej oferty za taka cenę. Generalnie nie było co jeść, dodatkowo za napoje trzeba było dopłacić. Przewodniczka kasuje za bilety dla dzieci mimo iż maja one wstęp za darmo. Wycieczka bardzo ciekawa chodź dużo jeżdżenia i mało czasu wolnego.

3 tygodnie przed planowanym terminem wczasów zadzwonili, że odwołują wczasy z powodu odwołania lotów, gdzie przysyłają nam ofertę alternatywną o wiele droższą też w pierwotnym kierunku.Omijajcie szerokim łukiem. Ewidentny wałek.

Kompletne dno i dramat! Trzy lata nas zwodzili z wyjazdem do Ziemi Świętej. W dowolnej chwili odwoływali sobie terminy. Planowane urlopy i przygotowania. Zero odpowiedzialności i brak profesjonalizmu. Teraz zwracają pieniądze, lecz bez słowa "przepraszamy". Teraz już z żoną polecimy do Izraela na własną rękę. Taniej i bez łaski. Biuro prezentuje totalnie sprzeczne informacje odnośnie hotelu i stanem faktycznym- nie działająca klimatyzacja przy ponad 30 stopniach na zewnątrz, problemy z bieżącą wodą, robaki w pokoju, woda lejąca się z sufitu tak że trzeba było co chwila zmieniać ręcznik na podłodze, sypiący się tynk z sufitu, uszkodzone szafki w pokoju, zatrucie pokarmowe spowodowane jedzeniem w hotelu, nie działające drzwi do pokoju przez "błąd" karty, plaża cała zagloniona pełna rozkładających się stworzeń morskich, wszędzie smród zgniłych jaj z uwagi na rozkładające się organizmy, nie działający telefon w pokoju, nie działająca spłuczka w kibelku gdzie ciągle ciekła woda, dwa łóżka pojedyncze w pokoju małżeńskim na miesiącu miodowym.....nie chcieli nam wymienić pokoju chociaż połowa hotelu była wolna, hałas na plaży przez buldożery próbujące zbierać glony, pomimo zapisu do restauracji ala carte na miejscu okazuje się iż jest zamknięta i nikt nas nawet nie poinformował, konieczność dopłaty na miejscu do all inclusive które i tak było zawarte w ofercie, przeprowadzka do innego pokoju i końcowo obsługa hotelowa pracująca jak za karę, gdzie w ogóle nie mogliśmy liczyć na ich pomoc bo przecież "Everything is fine"- tak odpowiadali na większość problemów....Numer alarmowy tak naprawdę jest zwykłym numerem i jakakolwiek pomoc zależy od "widzimisię" osoby mającej dyżur przy tym numerze. Wiedząc, że od nich zależy jakakolwiek pomoc na miejscu za granicą każą "sobie" pomóc we własnym zakresie, a dodatkowo rezydent to człowiek widmo, którego raz widzieliśmy dzień po przyjeździe, a w razie potrzeby kontaktu nie odbiera telefonów i nie odpowiada na smsy na Whatsappie. W dniu wyjazdu nawet nie wiedzieliśmy, czy ktokolwiek po nas przyjedzie zawieźć nas na lotnisko gdyż z rezydentem nie było żadnego kontaktu, nie wiedzieliśmy też o której mamy się wymeldować także doszedł kolejny stres. Sprawa została zgłoszona do Izby Turystyki. Radzę omijać Ecco Travel z daleka!!! Wady Jw

My favorite memories from my travels as a sustainability editor come, not from stays at beautiful eco hotels and lodges (although who doesn’t love those), but the unplanned conversations I get to have with purpose-driven, passionate individuals around the world. Meeting Dutch-Malaysian artist Skaii, for instance, on a sweltering day in Langkawi, as she built beautiful pirate ships from plastic waste with preschoolers; my chats with Roque Sevilla, a former mayor of Quito turned sustainability champion, about the preservation of the páramo, a grassland ecosystem in Ecuador ; or bumping along in a 4x4 through Knepp Estate’s rewilded thickets in West Sussex with Ned Burrell, looking out for free-roaming English longhorn cattle.

When it comes to the wellbeing of our planet, there’s so much to consider, and it relies on each of us trying to make a difference—big or small. In an industry dominated by large travel corporations, these 11 Earth Day heroes are leading inspiring grassroots initiatives that are leaving a more positive, equitable, and lasting impact on our planet—and our travels.

The humanitarian protecting Daintree’s flora and fauna

Kristin Canning is helping hospitality hit net zero targets through Rainforest Rescue , her initiative that fights to protect Daintree 's delicate ecosystem. Believing that businesses have the power to be significant changemakers, this NGO has been a nature-based solution partner to The Travel Corporation’s Climate Action Plan for over a decade, working towards safeguarding the fragmented lowland rainforest while supporting Indigenous practices and knowledge sharing .

“Lowland habitats are some of the most at-risk areas, as they are prime for agriculture and development, yet are home to precious flora and fauna not found anywhere else,” Canning says. Covering less than 1% of Australia’s surface, Daintree’s rainforests are among its most biodiverse regions, housing 40% of its bird species, 35% of its mammals, and 60% of its butterflies. Despite this, it remains under-protected—and Rainforest Rescue helps fix carbon, improve soil, and stitch habitats back together. “Sustainable, green, and regenerative tourism is going beyond a trend—it’s a movement where people are consciously deciding to give back to the places they choose to visit,” says Canning.

The lodge owner saving mountain gorillas and their habitat in Uganda

Lydia Eva Mpanga is a social worker, lawyer, and safari expert who founded Nkuringo Safaris in 2007 when there were just 880 mountain gorillas left in the world—a species that was headed towards extinction. Today, numbers have increased to more than 1045, and 50% of them reside in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park , thanks to the funds raised from gorilla trekking . Today, Nkuringo supports sustainable and community-led gorilla tours and wildlife safaris through its two safari lodges.

Having seen the tangible effects of deforestation on the environment firsthand, Nkuringo Safaris and Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge set out to support both environmental and social initiatives that in turn support both tourism—and the gorillas. “Uganda has one of the youngest populations, with almost 60% below the age of 15,” Mpanga tells me. "Feeding its people means forested areas are constantly cleared for agriculture.” Through adjacent programs designed to keep girls in school, and combat early marriages and childbirth, we are reminded of the crossovers between environmentalism, socio-economic reform, and climate solutions.

The Michelin Green Star chef in London taking circular dining to the next level

Chantelle Nicholson is the New Zealand -born chef-founder of Apricity , a fine-dining, forward-thinking restaurant in London 's Mayfair that was awarded Michelin’s highest ethical and environmental recognition. Chantelle works tirelessly to incorporate regenerative practices into every aspect of the restaurant's operations from sourcing to production and waste management—collaborating, for instance, with produce supplier Shrub, that sources seasonally and regionally from the best biodynamic farms in South East England.

“In the Western world, it's like we have lost the value of things—whether it is food, goods, or equipment,” says Nicholson. “We work in a throwaway society that does not respect our planet and many of its inhabitants.” The circular-economy dynamo is not only concerned that our world creates so much waste, she’s also proving we can run restaurants more responsibly. “For me, it’s about working in a way where everything is valued and kept in use for as long as possible until there really is no other alternative.” Even the beautiful uniforms at Apricity are fashioned from textiles made from reincarnated PET bottles by Gung Ho, a sustainable British fashion brand.

The captain of industry saving Ecuador’s cloud forest

When Roque Sevilla , the former mayor of Quito , told me about his entrepreneurial journey from setting up an insurance company to saving Ecuador’s forests , I was blown away. A significant percentage of Grupo Futuro's profits goes to its charity wing, Fundación Futuro—and its travel company Metropolitan Touring has been carbon neutral since 2017, thanks to the expansion of its private ecological reserve and tree-planting mission. When visiting its luxury eco lodge Mashpi Lodge inside Ecuador's Chocó rainforest, I learned that only about 5% of the forest in the Andean Choco bioregion remains.

“Ecuador ranks among the most biodiverse nations on Earth, and protecting that diversity is key for all of our futures,” explains Roque. While at Mashpi, I saw firsthand how they’re helping farmers switch from agriculture to rewilding to create a wildlife corridor totaling 17,000 hectares, and learned about long-term plans to double the size of the reserve it sits on. “By marrying tourism and conservation, and by creating innovative funding mechanisms for biodiversity protection—while also ensuring sustainable livelihoods for local communities—we hope to counteract the pressures that drive deforestation,” says Sevilla.

The not-for-profit cleaning up Nepal by making sustainable sanitary products

A huge perk of travel is it opens our perspectives to local issues that also play into more widespread global challenges. Anyone that treks through Nepal is likely to notice the significant waste management issue it faces, exacerbated by the pressures of tourism. Tackling this problem of plastic waste through the distinct lens of compostable feminine hygiene products—and supporting women’s empowerment in the process—is Project Sparśa . When founder Dipisha Bhujel realized most menstrual products imported from China and India were 90% plastic, she developed a social business that would produce and sell compostable menstrual pads. Sparśa prioritizes local sourcing, creating economic opportunities for communities involved in banana farming, and the production of the pads—made from the byproducts of banana farming—is entirely circular. And with the revenue generated, the organization runs menstrual awareness campaigns that challenge societal taboos.

The Jordanian community-builder tackling economic leakage in tourism

Muna Haddad ’s first project through Baraka Destination , a rural, low-impact tourism venture that she started in 2011, was in Umm Qais, Jordan . “For the first six months, all we did was listen to the locals, learning so much about the place from their perspective, such as there being more than 300 different species of flowers. Through this, we created beekeeping and foraging experiences, nicely connected through a cookery class," recalls Haddad. Today, she works with local communities from the Middle East to the Mediterranean to design enriching travel experiences that give more than they take, collaborating with the World Bank, USAID, and the EU to tackle what she calls the biggest challenge in the world—inequity. “In popular destinations, local communities often receive just the crumbs of tourism benefits because of a lack of capital, market knowledge, or language skills, and this has created a strained relationship between people and the environment,” she explains.

A recent trip to Iceland reminded Haddad of how much we all have in common, no matter where in the world we are. “A Bedouin in the desert of Jordan and an Icelander inhabit totally different terrains, but they are both still reliant on their land.” By partnering with local communities and designing tourism experiences together, Baraka offers travelers a chance to connect with the people that call it home.

The rewilding restaurateur in West Sussex promoting a healthy landscape

I first learned of the Knepp Estate through its founder Isabella Tree’s best-selling book Wilding . Charlie Burrell and Isabella Tree’s 3500-acre rewilding and regenerative farming project has turned marginal lands into a home to a remarkable array of wildlife—everything from red and fallow deer to Exmoor ponies and turtle doves roam free here—and an abundance of flora. When their son Ned Burrell opened The Wilding Kitchen in a restored 18th-century barn with a menu designed for estate-to-plate dining, I couldn’t wait to visit. Burrell believes that the biggest threat to humanity is biodiversity loss: “There’s so much land tied up in producing so little food, but if you reverse that, as Knepp has, the biodiversity benefits are enormous. A recent study showed 95% of the carbon footprint of every ingredient generally comes from its production and manufacturing, whereas our free-roaming pigs, cattle, deer, all are drivers of a healthy landscape,” says Burrell. The Knepp estate also offers sustainability-minded travelers an opportunity to camp and eat on site, and enjoy its walking trails, safaris, and tours.

The filmmaker in Bahamas showing us what we do on land affects the oceans

I first learned about Andre Musgrove , a freediving guide who specializes in photographing humans and marine wildlife, at the last UN Climate Conference. Based in the Bahamas , Musgrove has vast knowledge of its marine wildlife hotspots—and is an ambassador for the ocean non-profit group SeaLegacy . “People are so disconnected from nature and the knowledge that every aspect of our natural world is to our wellbeing,” says Andre. “Through my imagery or private dive guide experiences, I change perspectives by showing them what’s happening underwater. It makes them more aware of the repercussions of our actions on land.”

Andre takes visitors from all over the world on dives so that they can fall in love with the ocean and, in turn, do whatever they can to help protect it. “It can be as simple as encouraging them not to use plastic straws or to use reef-safe sunscreen now that they understand its effects on coral,” he says. “It helps the penny drop that just because a situation is out of sight it shouldn’t mean it’s out of mind. People think the story ends where they can see, but when they put their head underwater, it’s a whole new world they start to care about.”

The Malaysian artist upcycling waste into creative crafts

Skaii De Vega was fashioning waste polystyrene into a starfish destined to become jewelry when I met her at Kanshalife Project ’s headquarters in a tiny hidden village in Langkawi. As part of The Datai Langkawi ’s outreach program, the Dutch-Malaysian visual artist provides employment to single mothers and marginalized communities by upcycling commercial waste into upscale interior design products sold via the hotel’s elegant gift shop.

Skaii also hosts activities in the resort’s Lab as part of their efforts towards waste reduction and the celebration of small-scale production. “One of the most pressing challenges facing our planet is the pervasive issue of plastic and food pollution, and the relentless use of single-use plastics.” The initiative also engages with the local children of Geng Bersih Kampung to nurture the next generation of green leaders. “Together, we are not just tackling pollution, we are cultivating a generation of changemakers who will shape a brighter, more sustainable future for us all.”

The ecofeminist tackling eco-anxiety through climate cafes in Nigeria

Jennifer Uchendu cares about the mental health of young Africans and wants to make sustainability solutions both actionable and relatable. Through her work with SustyVibes , she works at the intersection of climate change and mental health issues faced by African youth through research, advocacy, and community intervention.

In its co-working space Zen Cafe in Lagos , Uchendu brings young people together with older folk to create intergenerational safe spaces. “Mother Earth is facing many challenges—many of which are intersecting and happening simultaneously,” Jennifer told me from the Netherlands where she has just completed a research fellowship on eco-anxiety at the University of Utrecht. “The concept of the ‘polycrisis’ best describes this phenomenon: ongoing wars, the climate crisis, and the mental health crisis are all harming life on the planet.” SustyVibes’ clean-ups and tree-planting events are open to all to join.

The charity-entrepreneur unlocking water solutions from Bangalore to Mexico

Machiel van Dooren of Made Blue Foundation may be based in the Netherlands, but he’s helping provide access to clean water for communities as far as Asia and the Americas. Kompletne dno i dramat! Trzy lata nas zwodzili z wyjazdem do Ziemi Świętej. W dowolnej chwili odwoływali sobie terminy. Planowane urlopy i przygotowania. Zero odpowiedzialności i brak profesjonalizmu. T Zwracają pieniądze, lecz bez słowa "przepraszamy". Teraz już z żoną polecimy do Izraela na własną rękę. Taniej i bez łaski. UWAŻAJCIE NA TO PSEUDOBIURO TURYSTYCZNE!

Zakup oferty zrealizowany przez biuro Ecco Travel, oferta zgodna z rzeczywistością. Wycieczka do Canady i USA z której jesteśmy zadowoleni, dzięki pilotowi p. Tomasz Sz. -mimo problemów z dotarciem do Toronto- cały napięty program wycieczki został zrealizowany, a pilot wykazał się dużym profesjonalizmem, szeroką wiedzą dot. rysu historycznego odwiedzanych miejsc, dobrą organizacją, pełen szacunek dla "takiego pilota".

Wycieczka z biurem Ecco Travel super bardzo napięty plan zwiedzania ale w tym wszystkim najwspanialszy okazał się przewodnik Pan Jacek B. jeszcze nigdy nie spotkałem tak wspaniałego wyrozumiałego dobrego mądrego inteligentnego przewodnika podróżuje dużo po świecie ale ten pan po prostu jest mistrzem w swoim zawodzie doskonale przygotowany do swojej pracy i przede wszystkim człowiek uśmiechnięty i bez nerwów ,chciałbym jeszcze raz gdzieś pojechać na wycieczkę gdzie będzie Pan Jacek .

Bardzo dobra organizacja wyjazdu do Jordanii. Hotele w Ammanie (Lilac) i Akabie (Jordan Seasons) bardzo dobre. Hotel nad morzem Martwym (Dead Sea Spa) to taki późny PRL. Dało się wytrzymać, bardzo blisko Morza. Co do samej wycieczki, to odlot! Wszystko dopracowane, atrakcyjna trasa. Dobrze, że została zamieniona Petra na przedostatni dzień, bo było wtedy 4h na zwiedzanie. Dla mnie pustynia Wadi Rum to coś epickiego! Koniecznie wykupić przejażdżkę wielbłądem. Namiastka prawdziwej karawany.

Właśnie wróciliśmy z wycieczki organizowanej przez Ecco Travel - Nowy Jork, Waszyngton, Niagara. Wycieczka zorganizowana była bardzo profesjonalnie. Organizacja na najwyższym poziomie. Niewątpliwie najważniejszą rolę odegrał przewodnik Tomek Szatiło. Mega opanowany, posiadający ogromną wiedzę, tłumacz, mentor, logistyk, mówiący piękną polszczyzną. Tomek, dla nas to był wieki zaszczyt uczestniczyć w tej wycieczce. Małgorzata i Andrzej

W dniu od 17.04.2022r do 21.04.2022 przebywałem wraz z żoną w Islandii. Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni z wyjazdu dzięki wspaniałemu przewodnikowi Panu Michałowi , który posiada bardzo dużą wiedzę na temat Islandii i chętnie się nią dzieli. Starał się , również pokazać nam jak najwięcej ciekawych miejsc. Jeszcze raz bardzo dziękujemy za wspaniały wyjazd.

Wycieczka objazdowa - Jordania.Wszystko odbyło się zgodnie z programem.Mała zmiana kolejności przypadła wszystkim do gustu.Hotel nad Morzem Martwym ponad oczekiwania .Przejazdy luksusowym mercedesem.No i w końcu wspaniała pilotka Zosia Gącarzewicz dowodząca (nie chwaląc się) równie wspaniałą grupą uczestników.

Nie polecam!Miała być wycieczka na Sri Lankę,wpłaciłem pełną kwotę.Pracownik obiecał zwrot wpłaconej pełnej kwoty w przypadku,kiedy nie zbierze się grupa.Biuro nie umiało zebrać tej grupy i wycieczkę odwołało,ale już słowa nie dotrzymali. Potrącili 256,-zł. Niesolidność,niesłowność,nie profesjonalnie. Odradzam!

Wróciłem 2 tygodnie temu z Jordanii. Jestem bardzo zadowolony. Poza słabą jakością hotelu Fanar Palace w Ammanie nie mam zastrzeżeń. Bez problemu doplacilbym kilkaset złotych więcej za lepszy hotel na te dwie noce. Pilotka Agnieszka i lokalna rezydentka Amina bardzo pomocne i zorganizowane. Kraj ciekawy i warty zwiedzenia.

Wróciłam wczoraj z wycieczki organizowanej przez Ecco Travel Gruzja od A do Z 3* ?16.10-24.10 2021 i jestem pod wielkim wrażeniem organizacji tej imprezy w dobie zachorowań na coronavirusa .Od pierwszego momentu czyli rezerwacji imprezy po przylot do Katowic czułam się bezpiecznie i pewnie dzięki pomocy pani Bernadety Biernat -Lurka oraz naszego wspaniałego pilota pana Jacka Bukowskiego.Na temat naszego pilota można by napisać całą książkę pochwał.Ograniczę sie jednak do tego że to wspaniały fachowiec z olbrzymią wiedzą i znajomością tematu,na dodatek potrafiący ją w odpowiedni sposób przekazać i sprawić ,że chce się tu wrócić i poznawać ten przepiękny kraj.Nasz pilot pokazał nam wszystko co było możliwe do zobaczenia w ramach programu i jeszcze więcej niż spodziewaliśmy się .Każda chwila naszego pobytu była odpowiednio zagospodarowana i atrakcyjna.Swoją osobowością potrafił zjednoczyć grupę w jedną całość i dla każdego zawsze miał uśmiech i czas.Warunki zakwaterowania i wyżywienie też były bez zarzutu.Wszystko przebiegało sprawnie i przygotowane wzorcowo.Ukłony dla pana kierowcy i gruzińskiego pilota należą się również .Gorąco polecam.Było wspaniale.Warto zobaczyć piękną Gruzję.

witam pojechałem do Gruzji na wycieczkę obiazdową organizowaną przez biuro podróży Ecco Travel wycieczka była super bardzo udana zobaczyłem bardzo dużo ciekawych i ładnych miejsc na lotnisku przywitał nas przewodnik pan Jacek Bukowski i w tym miejcu chciałem napisać kilka słow na temat Pana Jacka zwiedziłem już bardzo dużo krajów i byłem z różnymi przewodnikami ale taki przewodnik jak pan Jacek to jeszcze nigdy mi się nie trafił jest wspaniałym ciepłym uśmiechniętym człowiekiem z poczuciem humoru bardzo mądry ciekawie opowiada o danym miejcu skarbnica wiedzy super facet bez nerwów dla każdego z wycieczki miał czas i z każdym porozmawiał jeszcze raz dziękuję za takiego wspaniałego przewodnika i maże o tym abym jeszcze kiedys trafił podczas podrózy na pana Jacka dzięki niemu aż chce się podróżować i poznawać fajne miejca

Świetna wycieczka zarówno pod względem organizacyjnym jak i merytorycznym. Profesjonalny przewodnik Tomek to młody człowiek imponujący wiedzą, umiejętnością jej przekazania, oczarował całą wycieczkę także wysoką kulturą osobistą i skromnością. Najlepsza reklama biura, otwarty na potrzeby grupy i bardzo elastyczny . Program wycieczki rewelacyjny, świetnie dopracowany, pomimo wielu miejsc do zwiedzania był świetnie wyważony, był czas na relaks i odpoczynek. Bardzo przyzwoite warunki w hotelach, regionalne posiłki, cały czas w klimacie odwiedzanych miejsc. Gruzja od a do z to program objazdowej wycieczki naprawdę godny polecenia, a przewodnik - cóż, można sobie tylko życzyć kolejnych wycieczek z takim przewodnikiem. Piekne miejsce inna kultura, zwyczaje, a to wszystko okraszone niezwykłymi historiami i opowieściami. Dziękujemy Tomku za potężną dawkę wiedzy. Niezapomniany czas.

Jedno wielkie nieporozumienie. Arogancka rezydentka. Złodziejskie maniery biura. Skasowano nas dodatkowo za wstępy 110 dolarów, gdzie wstępy w trakcie wycieczki były tylko dwa. W sumie niecałe 10 dolarów. Codziennie zmiana programu według widzimisie rezydentki Zuzi, która zasłaniała się decyzjami jakiejś niewidzialnej szefowej. Niektóre kolacje poniżej krytyki. 4 rodzaje chleba plus kości w rosole. Skandal. Na próby protestu dostawaliśmy odpowiedź że to biedny kraj. My niestety zapłaciliśmy jak za wczasy w Dubaju. Rezydentka za zgłaszane niedociągniecia powiedziała że za karę nie zawiezie nas do Gori. Parodia.Gruzja słynąca z wina i dobrego jedzenia została nam przedstawiona fatalnie.

Wycieczka była bardzo dobrze zorganizowana, miała ciekawy i różnorodny program. Zuzanna nasza pilotka posiadała bardzo dużą wiedzę, przez co ciekawie opowiadała. Regionalne Panie przewodniczki i kierowca autobusu stanęli na wysokości zadania. Dziękujemy. Wspaniały kraj wspaniali ludzie przepiękne krajobrazy super jedzenie. Polecam z całego serca!!! Na pewno wrócę jeszcze do Gruzji????

Zdecydowanie nie polecam Ecco Travel/Ecco Holiday! Gorszego biura podróży, który w ogóle nie dba o klienta i jego interesy nie widziałam. Biuro prezentuje totalnie sprzeczne informacje odnośnie hotelu i stanem faktycznym- nie działająca klimatyzacja przy ponad 30 stopniach na zewnątrz, problemy z bieżącą wodą, robaki w pokoju, woda lejąca się z sufitu tak że trzeba było co chwila zmieniać ręcznik na podłodze, sypiący się tynk z sufitu, uszkodzone szafki w pokoju, zatrucie pokarmowe spowodowane jedzeniem w hotelu, nie działające drzwi do pokoju przez "błąd" karty, plaża cała zagloniona pełna rozkładających się stworzeń morskich, wszędzie smród zgniłych jaj z uwagi na rozkładające się organizmy, pomimo zapisu do restauracji ala carte na miejscu okazuje się iż jest zamknięta i nikt nas nawet nie poinformował, konieczność dopłaty na miejscu do all inclusive które i tak było zawarte w ofercie, przeprowadzka do innego pokoju i końcowo obsługa hotelowa pracująca jak za karę, gdzie w ogóle nie mogliśmy liczyć na ich pomoc bo przecież "Everything is fine"- tak odpowiadali na większość problemów....Numer alarmowy tak naprawdę jest zwykłym numerem i jakakolwiek pomoc zależy od "widzimisię" osoby mającej dyżur przy tym numerze. Wiedząc, że od nich zależy jakakolwiek pomoc na miejscu za granicą każą "sobie" pomóc we własnym zakresie, a dodatkowo rezydent to człowiek widmo, którego raz widzieliśmy dzień po przyjeździe, a w razie potrzeby kontaktu nie odbiera telefonów i nie odpowiada na smsy na Whatsappie. W dniu wyjazdu nawet nie wiedzieliśmy, czy ktokolwiek po nas przyjedzie zawieźć nas na lotnisko gdyż z rezydentem nie było żadnego kontaktu, nie wiedzieliśmy też o której mamy się wymeldować także doszedł kolejny stres. Sprawa została zgłoszona do Izby Turystyki. Radzę omijać Ecco Travel z daleka!!!

Wycieczka objazdowa po Jordanii zorganizowana przez Ecco Holiday w październiku 2019. Hotele ogólnie Ok, najlepszy ten nad morzem martwym. Jedziecie w hotelach dramat. Generalnie nie było co jeść bez napojów. Przewodniczka z Polski kasuje za bilety wstępu od dzieci mimo iż dzieci w wieku do 11/12 lat nie płaca za wejścia do Petry, Jerash i innych miejsc. Na każdym dziecku jesteś oszukany na około 150 dolarów. Biuro podróży umywa ręce i nie chce oddać za biletu za dzieci. Przewodniczka wozi klientów po drogich manufakturach a nawet nie ma gdzie kupić w ciągu dnia kanapki. Woda była do kupienia w autokarze. Sama wycieczka mega ciekawa choć dużo jeżdżenia. Inaczej się jednak nie da śle zobaczysz Petra, Jerash, morze martwe, zamki na piasku, nadana, góra mojzesza, aqaba, wadi rum oraz poza planem udało się zobaczyć miejsce chrztu Jezusa. Przewodniczka pomogła załatwić Taxi z hotelu, Super przewodnik z Jordanii - Salem. Mówił pop polsku.

Biuro nie jest uczciwe, stosuje różne sposoby, aby uniknąć wypłacenia pieniędzy za odwołane wakacje. Dla nich przekładanie w nieskończoność wakacji odwołanych, to nie odwołanie. Wszystko robią aby nie oddać pieniędzy. Chcą nam narzucać kiedy mamy jechać, bez względu na to czy nam pasuje czy nie.

Biuro nie zagwarantowało bezpiecznego powrotu do kraju. Katastrofa. Lepiej zorganizować wyjazd na własna rękę bo zapłaciliśmy nie wiadomo za co. Narazili nas na stres i duże dodatkowe koszty. Porażka a nie biuro.
