About Flyin Hawaiian Zipline

Flyin Hawaiian Zipline features Maui’s longest, most thrilling rides with unparalleled views of both the North and South shores, as well as majestic Haleakala. Centrally located in the West Maui mountains, your canopy adventure includes 8 ziplines ranging from a 250 ft. warm up to a 3,600 ft. monster! With over 2.5 miles of ziplining excitement and incredible panoramic views of The Valley Isle (Maui), this will be a highlight of your vacation!

After checking in at the Maui Tropical Plantation, we take a short 4 X 4 drive into the heart of scenic Waikapu Valley. There you’ll be outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and receive instructions before beginning your adventure with a short introductory zipline to familiarize you with the gear and zipping procedures. Then you’re ready to fly through the magnificent Hawaiian skies, where you’ll cross 9 different valleys and 11 different ridges, all while gaining insight into Maui’s rich history and culture. Along the way, we will take time to plant rare, native Hawaiian plants as we zip through the incredible natural diversity that exists on Maui, ranging from the tropical rainforest to the desert and everything in between!

Your tour will finish in Ma’alaea, where you will board an ATV for the ride down the mountain, before being transported back to Maui Tropical Plantation via air-conditioned van. Your exciting day comes to a close with the knowledge that you’ve been part of helping Maui thrive for future generations!

Admittedly, I was hesitant to give up time on the beach to do this with my teens but I am so glad I did! The staff is incredibly organized, safety oriented, and just plain fun! Eddie and the rest of the crew made this one of the best outings we've ever had! Beautiful views, flying safely over the mountain passes, and laughing like crazy - it was awesome! After it was over, we went to the Plantation's general store where they sell what is grown on the plantation, we had cold drinks, pineapple, and banana bread. Perfect!

Our family ziplined with Flyin Hawaiian Zipline tour and we had a great time. The guides (there were 3 of them) were extremely efficient and we felt very safe in their care. The ziplines themselves were great. It was a bit warm and we had some minor hikes between lines, but there was water along the way. The ATV ride to and from the course was also a lot of fun.

We just finished this very fun zip line adventure. The guides were very knowledgeable and engaging. The longest zip line station was 2/3 a mile and was our favorite. On the shuttle ride back to the headquarters the guides pointed out how the zip line can’t be seen from the road. This was obviously done intentionally so not to take away from the scenery. Besides being an adrenaline rush, the views of Maalaea Bay and Kahului are spectacular from every station!

The guides were great. Professional, personable, engaging and considerate. While I am very capable of carrying my own trolley, they were so kind to carry it up some of the steeper climbs. With that said, there are some short walks on dirt trails, so keep that in mind when choosing footwear... maybe don't wear your favorite white sneakers. Lol.

Ka'anapali Skyline Adventure

The Kaanapali Skyline Adventure, located on Maui, Hawaii is an incredible eight zipline adventure that is conveniently located just minutes from Maui’s popular Kaanapali Resort area. This tour meets at our Kaanapali retail location, which is just outside Maui's historic Lahaina town and the hotel areas of Kaanapali, Kahana, and Kapalua. Guests are shuttled from Skyline's retail store into the rugged valleys of Mount Kahalawai (the West Maui Mountains), via one of Skyline's exciting off-road vehicles. From the tour site guests have sweeping views of West Maui, Molokai, and Lanai, and the Pacific Ocean creates the perfect backdrop for each of the Kaanapali zipline crossings. Zipping high above a mountain stream, and over two different valleys, visitors experience the excitement of seeing an otherwise inaccessible area of Hawaii and soaring high above it! How much does it cost to zipline?

How long are the zipline tours?

Our Haleakala 5-Line Adventure Tour  is our shortest tour at about 1.5 hours. The Kaanapali 8-Line Adventure Tour typically takes about 2.5-3.5 hours, depending on group size. Lastly, if you're looking to plan an entire day of outdoor fun we highly recommend our popular Haleakala Sunrise & Zip Adventure Tour . This tour, which is about 10 hours long, starts with experiencing the legendary sunrise at the top of Haleakala and ends at our 5-line zipline course.

Which ziplines are the best for families?

Both of our zip line tours are high-flying adventures that kids and the kid-at-heart will love. For safety reasons we do have age and weight requirements. Our Haleakala Zipline Tours get rave reviews from many parents since it is one of the only family-friendly zipline courses on the island that accommodates smaller children. Haleakala Tours are safe for kids ages 8 and up and weigh at least 60 lbs. Kaanapali Tours are perfect for kids 10 and over who weigh at least 80 lbs. The epic zipline tour starts at the mountain outpost, showcasing vast panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the volcanic slopes of West Maui Mountains. High above Kapalua Resort on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains lies the "Mountain Outpost", the center of activity for the zipline tours and other exciting challenges offered by Kapalua Ziplines The Mountain Outpost features nearly two miles of parallel zipping action! The Mountain Outpost also features a 360' suspension bridge, the longest and highest in Hawaii.

The zip lines are the big attraction here, and their lines are LONG. The entire course measures out at 9190 feet of line ... times TWO! Each line is actually two lines running parallel to each other. These parallel lines offer partners the chance to zip at exactly the same time and yield great photo and video opportunities while soaring through the air! When you add it all up, Kapalua Adventures has over 18,000 feet of zip lines!

All adventures begin at the Kapalua Zipline location at 500 Office Road, which is next to the Honolua Store in the heart of Kapalua Resort. Here you will get set up with your gear and then participants ride a 4 wheel drive vehicle up to the Mountain Outpost and the start of your tour.

• Children must be at least 10 years old, 60lbs and 4 feet tall to zipline.
• Wear comfortable clothes and fully closed-toe shoes required
• Sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended.
• Temperatures can be a few degrees cooler on the mountain. Rain gear will be provided if needed.
• This is an outdoor activity, so guests allergic to insect stings should bring appropriate medication.

Location Directions:

• Take Honoapiilani Highway/HI-30 north for approximately 11 miles.
• Driving north, the ocean will be on your left. You will drive past the Kaanapali resort.
• As you near Kapalua, you will see a resort sign and sign for Office Road. At the crest of the hill, turn left onto Office Road and you have arrived.
• Aloha! Please allow approximately 20 minutes for driving.

Frequently Asked Questions

The maximum weight for ziplining is 250 pounds. No exceptions. The minimum weight for ziplining is 60 pounds and you must be at least 4 feet tall. Weigh-ins are mandatory and refunds are not provided if you do not fall into this weight and height range.

Guests must be at least 10 years old to zipline. Adults must accompany on tour children ages 10-17.

For a 100% refund, cancellations and changes must be made at least 48 hours prior to tour time. If you need to cancel due to illness or medical emergency, we require a doctor’s note from a local Maui doctor/clinic in order to process a full refund. Our tours run RAIN or SHINE. We do not refund for inclement weather, however, we do provide rain jackets when needed. – We will cancel tours in the event of extreme high winds, thunder and lightning. We will reschedule your tour or refund the proportion of your tour not completed.

We only use the information we collect about you to process tour reservations that you place with us, and to provide excellent customer service during your vacation to Hawaii.

Pregnant women are not allowed to zipline. Guests must not scuba dive within 24 hours before the tour.

We are on a family vacation our son had wanted to try ziplining so we all decided to give it a try. We all had a blast. Both of our sons said it was one of their favorite activities on our trip. The guides were great and made all of us first-timers feel very safe.

Our guides, Karim and Ryan, were very knowledgeable and understanding, which made me feel safe and secure. It was a fun family memory and the customer service touches were a welcome addition. Well worth the money!

Xon and Sarah were safe, fun and knowledgeable tour guides that made this part of our family Maui adventure extra memorable. From start to finish our tour was well organized and our "zippin" was outlandish (bringing lots of smiles, laughs and a few screams.)

We weren’t planning on zip lining that day but on the road to Hana we saw the jungle tour sign on the car parked on the road and decided to check it out next thing you know we were 7 zip lines in to a great afternoon with beautiful views & exhilarating rides! The entire staff was AWSOME!

We were so glad we went ziplining with Jungle Zipline. Our tour guides were really friendly, keep everyone engaged & shared knowledge about the local flaura & fauna, which was great! I’d definitely recommend doing this when you come to Maui no matter your age :).
