Iron Maiden are one of the most formative bands to establish the heavy metal genre in the ’80s. Formed in 1975 in East London, the band underwent several personnel changes before releasing their self-titled debut in 1980. Iron Maiden’s sophomore effort, 1981’s Killers , was the first to chart in the U.S. and marked the final release with lead singer Paul Di'Anno. With the installment of frontman Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden released their breakthrough 1982 album, The Number of the Beast , which reached platinum certification, introduced two staples to the band’s catalog with the title track and “Run to the Hills” and kicked off a 10-year run of releases to land in the Top 40 on the Billboard 200, including their 1983 follow-up Piece of Mind and 1986’s Somewhere in Time . Dickinson departed in 1993, but returned in 1999 to cement the current lineup with bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris; guitarists Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers; and drummer Nicko McBrain, along with the band’s long-standing mascot “Eddie,” whose skeletal figure has graced the cover of nearly every release and become a signature of their live performances. Iron Maiden reached a new level of mainstream success in the ’10s, winning their first Grammy in the Best Metal Performance category for their 2010 single “El Dorado,” while 2010’s The Final Frontier and 2015’s The Book of Souls both earned No. 4 placements on the Billboard 200, marking their highest-charting albums at the time.

2016 iron maiden.

I am doing this review from the show I saw 7 years ago I’ve been to hundreds of shows since this show. That show is ranked in my all time top 10 shows I have ever been to. If you never saw maiden I totally suggest you go !! Do not hesitate! This is a show a real show with all kinds of stuff going on on stage! If I could give 6 stars I would. Here are the only draw back with maiden . The prices of everything t shirts are 50+ prob more now. The tickets are astronomical priced. And to get pit tickets you need to be a part of the fan club. The fan club is just a money grab I’ve been apart of it before . If you don’t buy tickets then the fan club really is a waste of time. And they were not on tour at the time so big waste of money. But the concert you will never forget. But def get good seats

Iron Maiden is the first concert I ever attended. The world slavery tour in 1985 opened by Twisted Sister at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. Words cannot describe how blown away I was and hooked for life! I have seen hundreds of insanely awesome concerts since then, including Iron Maiden nine more times. The only band that can punch you in the face, blow the roof off, and leave you in awe, like Iron Maiden, is Iron Maiden! 🤟🏻🤠🤘🏻

You don't want to miss out A must see at least once to 100x

I have seen them many times The first time I saw them Piece of Mind Tour Blew me away & is still to this day one of my favorite tours Last years tour was Just as amazing many moons later The high energy and the tightness is unbelievable At middle 60's - early 70's and still performing like they did in the early 80's is truly amazing & unbelievable You have to see them at least once in your lifetime It's worth every penny A must see

One of the best live experiences

Saw them 2022 in the legacy tour in Denver and I am not exaggerating in saying they're one of the absolute best experiences I've ever had live. The band sounded amazing, the energy they consistently bring is outstanding, not to mention the stage and props/backdrops. Can't wait for the future last tour 2024! Up the Irons!

X11 times seeing them in concert

The only band that can beat Iron Maiden in concert is IRON MAIDEN. 💯 % the best band on the planet. I have seen them in concert 10x and this next tour will be #11. They keep getting better and better every time! UP THE IRONS.....🤟

Just Awesome Even If You Are Not A Fine

Just awesome. Trully great music, played by a talented band who obvioulsy loves what they are doing. The concern had a fun, dedicated crowd of surprisingly all ages, 99% of which were on their feet the entire time. Iron Maiden is wrongly case into the "Heavy Metal"category when their songs are brilliant, carefully crafted compositions of both lyrics and music, incorporating dramatically different, but perfetly complementary shifts in melody and tempo. The drummers and the guitar players are all in the top 1% of anyone ever and Bruce Dickinson, though his range is not what it used to be, still has an opretic voice and remains one of the best front men of all time. These guys appear to be getting a little better with age. Go see Iron Maiden even if you are not a fan. It is guaranteed enjoyment and the way both bands and fans should act at a show. I will keep seeing Iron Maiden as long as they keep playing.

They haven’t lost it . The songs hit with as much velocity as they ever did . Would go again and again .

Future Past Tour in Vancouver, BC

Another brilliant performance by Eddie the Boys. Great production and sound. Props and Scrims were fantastic! Bruce was on fire. Adrian & Dave were right in front of me along the rail and played beautifully. Janick & Steve stopped by a few times and looked like they were having a great time. Nicko was in full form and played quite well. Nice to see him doing well and recovering. Be well Nicko. Rocking out with my Canadian brethren was a highlight of the occasion. These guys are still playing top-notch and you can tell they love what they’re doing and put in 100% effort when on the stage. Love these guys. This was my 7th show since 2012 and they keep me on my toes and getting better with age. Don’t miss ‘em if they come to an area close to you. Take your kids and/or friends. \m/ \m/

The Iron Maiden tour adds Phoenix date in 2024. Here's how to get tickets to the concert

I conic British heavy metal veterans Iron Maiden have added a Phoenix date to the North American leg of the Future Past Tour, playing Footprint Center on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, with Mongolian metal greats the Hu.

No further shows will be announced for North America.

The Hu issued a statement saying, “Iron Maiden is the master of the masters of rock music. They are one of the biggest inspirations to us! The way that they create and perform their music is majestic and we still remember the first time we heard their ‘Trooper’ song and felt the deep energy behind each word.”

Iron Maiden last played Phoenix on the Legacy of the Beast Tour in 2019 .

This will be their 17th performance in the Valley since playing Memorial Coliseum on June 4, 1981, as part of the Killer World Tour, their first time in the U.S.

Future Past Tour features songs from 'Senjetsu,' 'Somewhere in Time'

The Future Past Tour, which features songs from Maiden’s latest studio release, “Senjutsu,” and 1986’s seminal “Somewhere in Time” alongside other fan favorites, played to more than 750,000 fans at more than 30 sold-out shows across Europe in the summer of 2023.

They also played Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver alongside their highly praised appearance at California’s Power Trip Festival in October, which had Consequence raving “Iron Maiden set the bar high at Power Trip” and The Desert Sun saying they “delivered a hard-hitting performance to open the festival on a high note."

The tour features one of the most spectacular stage productions of Maiden’s career.

Till Lindemann is leaving Rammstein behind in 2024.

Starting in September, the bombastic frontman will embark on his first solo U.S. tour with special guests Twin Temple and Aesthetic Perfection in support of his 2023 solo album “Zunge.”

Midway through the fall run, the 61-year-old drops into New York’s The Rooftop at Pier 17 on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

While this will be Lindemann’s first solo stateside jaunt, it won’t be the first time he’s performed without Rammstein.

Most recently, he wrapped an international 2023-24 solo tour in Mexico, according to Set List FM . On that run, he regularly performed 19 songs — including two encores — per show.

While we can’t guarantee what he’ll bring to the stage on his forthcoming North American tour, we do know the best way to find out is live.

On Nov. 3, 2023, Lindemann dropped his solo album “Zunge.”

Comprised of 11 tracks, the heavy rocker stretches his musical muscles and alternates between intimate quiet and chaotic, epic loud — the sound Rammstein is known for — with ease.

Highlights include the quirky “Sports Frei,” thumping “Altes Fleisch” and the warbly anthem “Du hast kein Herz.”

Personally, we were most taken with the Ennio Morricone-esque “Tanzlehrerin” with its guitar licks, yearning vocals and gifted yet pained backing singer giving her all behind Lindemann.

Don’t sleep on the shockingly fun album closer “Selbst verliebt,” either. It’s an unexpected pop delicacy.

On Christmas 2023, Lindemann followed up the album release with the whirly, tongue-trilling single “Entre dos tierras” en español.

Lindemann was accused of sexual assault by a female fan last June over social media. She alleged he drugged her at a pre-show Rammstein VIP party in Lithuania and later approached her fox sex during intermission.

This led to a backlash against Rammstein’s “VIP Experience;” fans believed Lindemann was using the ticket tier to bed fans.

After looking into the case, German prosecutors dropped the case due to a lack of evidence and testimony.

“The rapid termination of investigative proceedings by the Berlin state prosecutor’s office shows that there is insufficient evidence that our client allegedly committed sexual offen(s)es,” Lindemann’s lawyers said.

Rammstein drummer claimed Lindemann “has distanced himself from us in recent years and created his own bubble” and “things seem to have happened that, although legally ok, I personally don’t think are ok.”

Guitarist Philip Näslund , who recently joined IRON MAIDEN vocalist Bruce Dickinson 's solo band, has shared a new video blog covering the two Mexican shows — April 18 at Teatro Diana in Guadalajara and April 20 at Pepsi Center WTC in Mexico City — of "The Mandrake Project" world tour. Näslund is a Swedish guitarist, songwriter and producer, known for several production credits, including Paul Gilbert 's "Stone Pushing Uphill Man" .

After playing two warm-up shows at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California, Dickinson officially kicked off his first solo tour in more than 20 years on April 15 at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California.

Dickinson 's current backing band features Dave Moreno (drums), Mistheria (keyboards) and Tanya O'Callaghan (bass),alongside the group's latest additions, Näslund and Swiss session and touring guitarist Chris Declercq (who played on Dickinson 's "Rain On The Graves" single). Bruce 's longtime guitarist and collaborator Roy "Z" Ramirez is not part of the touring lineup.

During an appearance on the April 16 episode of SiriusXM 's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" , Bruce was asked if there are plans for him to stage a full U.S. tour in support of his recently released solo album "The Mandrake Project" . He responded: "I brought the [booking] agents and the promoters, and everybody came down and saw the Whisky show [in West Hollywood, California over the weekend], and now they know what they've got to deal with in terms of doing a U.S. tour. So, we're looking at it, we're planning it.

"I absolutely wanna do a full U.S. tour with 'The Mandrake Project' ," he added. "I obviously can't do one for the rest of this year [due to commitments in other parts of the world and MAIDEN 's upcoming touring activities], but there's '25 and there's numerous opportunities that will crop up. So the answer to that is yes, of course, we wanna come and do the U.S."

Prior to the April 12 Whisky A Go Go show, Bruce last performed with his solo band on in August 2002 at the legendary Wacken Open Air festival in Germany.

Roy played guitar on Dickinson 's 1994 album "Balls To Picasso" and went on to produce, co-write and perform multiple instruments on Bruce 's subsequent three solo albums, "Accident At Birth" (1997), "The Chemical Wedding" (1998) and "Tyranny Of Souls" (2005).

O'Callaghan is an Irish musician who joined WHITESNAKE in 2021 and toured with the David Coverdale -fronted outfit the following year. She also hit the road with Dickinson last year as part of a performance of Jon Lord 's "Concerto For Group And Orchestra" on nearly a dozen dates in Europe and South America.

Californian drummer Moreno previously played on "Tyranny Of Souls" and has worked with BODY COUNT , Jizzy Pearl , Dizzy Reed and Steve Stevens , among others.

Italian keyboard wizard Mistheria has collaborated with an array of artists live and in the studio, including Rob Rock , Mike Portnoy , Jeff Scott Soto and Joel Hoekstra .

"The Mandrake Project" arrived on March 1 via BMG .

Bruce and Roy recorded "The Mandrake Project" largely at Los Angeles's Doom Room , with Roy doubling up as both guitarist and bassist. The recording lineup for "The Mandrake Project" was rounded out by Mistheria and Moreno , both of whom also featured on Bruce 's last solo studio album, "Tyranny Of Souls" , in 2005.

Dickinson made his recording debut with IRON MAIDEN on the "Number Of The Beast" album in 1982. He quit the band in 1993 in order to pursue his solo career and was replaced by Blaze Bayley , who had previously been the lead singer of the metal band WOLFSBANE . After releasing two traditional metal albums with former MAIDEN guitarist Adrian Smith , Dickinson rejoined the band in 1999 along with Smith .
