Making Known the Father’s Heart for Life

There is nothing more valuable than human life, because we are made by God in His image. God values human beings so much that He sacrificed His Son, Jesus Christ, in order to rescue us.

Upholding the Biblical Value of All Human Life Worldwide

Human life begins at conception and it ends with the last natural breath. Regardless of gender, race, age, ability, status, or any other factor, every person – from the preborn child to the elderly man or woman – is fully human and loved by God.

When Human Life is Devalued, People Suffer

The dignity and lives of millions of people around the world are violated every day, leading to immense suffering and death. Abortion alone, in which the life of a preborn child is ended, claims the lives of more than 150,000 people every day – 56 million every year around the world.

Every week of every year, a million preborn lives are ended, a million mothers lose hope, a million fathers lose an heir, millions of siblings lose a relationship, and millions of grandparents lose their legacy. Abortion has created a vast mission field, and we have been called to enter it.

How We’re Making a Difference

Jesus came to bring abundant life where our enemy has stolen life from us (John 10:10). At LIFE International we exist to make known this truth throughout the world.

We do this through partnership with global Christian leaders: men and women who are equipped to proclaim God’s love for all human beings, from conception to natural death. Local followers of Christ are then empowered to respond to the devaluation of human life in their communities through the development of life-giving ministries.

As a result, preborn children are given life, women and men find healing after abortion, and people embrace the hope of eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Your Partnership Matters

There are more than seven billion human beings in the world today, and all those people create countless opportunities for restoration and redemption. Join us today to see a world in which people of all nations find their hope and healing in Jesus Christ.

Your one-time or recurring financial donation will result in lives being saved.

Volunteer Now

Join our virtual prayer team to support those in the field.

God Is At Work in the World

LIFE International has equipped more than 15,000 leaders for ministry in more than 100 nations. Here is more information about our vision and people whose lives have been transformed by Jesus’ abundant life.

You can be pro-life and not pro-Jesus, but you can’t be pro-Jesus and not pro-life.

You can be pro-life and not pro-Jesus, but you can’t be pro-Jesus and not pro-life.

Kurt Dillinger, President of Life International, and Pastor Mark Shaw discuss the Gospel and the Sanctity of Human Life.

Highlights:

*You can be pro-life and not pro-Jesus, but you can’t be pro-Jesus and not pro-life. *The gospel and the message of life are inseparable. *The most profound pro-life initiative ever is God sending His only Son to die on the cross.

Joyce and Abraham

“You are nothing!” they shouted. “Go throw yourself in!”

In Africa, there is a river called Bone, known for its quiet beauty and its silent crocodiles. A woman stands trembling near the river, her belly swollen with child and her feet frozen on the trail, unable to go on and unable to go back…

What does it mean to be like Jesus?

What does it mean to be like Jesus? The Journey of a Life-Giver Podcast – Part 7

Kurt Dillinger, President of Life International, and Pastor Mark Shaw conclude their discussion on the Gospel and the Sanctity of Human Life, discussing what it means to be like Jesus.

Our passion for the world of travel and our continuous curiosity about discovering new places and experiences in the Middle East and around the world will make your dream trip come true.

What Our Fellow Travelers Said

" Your professionalism and attention to every and each single details was above and beyond any expectations. Betta and Ray tailored the trip based our personal agenda and preferences, it was the best travel experience we have ever had. Looking forward to our next trip with you. "

Asia Spilotros

" Having been on group trips to Northern & Southern Italy, Sicily, Portugal & Spain led by Benedetta, we can recommend her enthusiastically.

For our private trips, she made all our rail, air, private car & hotel arrangements, chosen based on the quality we requested; selected knowledgeable and informative guides to assist us at multiple locations; & stitched it all together into a cohesive itinerary from beginning to end. The trip was a delight. Besides her professional side, Benedetta is an upbeat “foodie” with a mind for fun, & she’s flexible, on the client’s side & doesn’t push an agenda. Finally, as we’ve traveled abroad, we’ve known she’s had our back should help be needed while away."

Mark and Vicki Hyde Wailea, Hawaii, USA

Mark and Vicki Hyde

Wailea, Hawaii, USA

" Thank you One Life journey!!! My wife and I had a life time trip in Italy (from Sicily to Alba and its truffles) thanks to you. The level of service you provided was the highest. Your travel experience, knowledge, understanding and passion made the trip truly unforgettable. Can’t wait for next summer with other one."

Arash Malekzadeh Sydney, Australia

"Ray helped us organising our family vacation to Sardinia and it was amazing! It was everything we were looking for: great location, stunning seaside, closeness to the beach and comfortable and cozy hotel and also the food was to die for! Our expectations were definitely exceeded. We are going to contact One Life Journeys again for our next holiday!"

Anna, Milan, Italy

"Betta was our Tour Manager on my trip to Croatia and Slovenia and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her! She was outstanding in every way – professional, prepared, passionate, friendly, approachable, and informative. Our journey was a stress-free experience and she made us feel completely safe and well taken care of throughout the entire trip.

Betta was very organized and a great manager of our schedule but was flexible and accommodating enough to balance the prescribed schedule against different things members of the group wanted to see or experience. She went out of her way to make sure we saw not only the tourist sites, but also several that were off the beaten track as well. Betta was always there for us if we had any questions, and the group engaged in many interesting conversations. Her outgoing personality ensured that conversations were lively and she brought a distinctly European perspective not only about history, but also on current events.

Betta went out of her way to attend to each guest’s needs. I had a medical issue during one of our stops and she accompanied me to the local hospital to make sure I was attended to, and my issue addressed.

You cannot go wrong if Betta is your Tour Manager!"

Karen, Chicago

"When traveling, you’ll need a generous amount of good humor, patience and flexibility while expecting the unexpected. There will always be a need to alter plans on the fly. The key to success when traveling is managing these usually stressful surprises. And this is where Betta shines. After three separate tours with Betta, I can cite numerous occasions where I saw her planning and attention to detail in evidence. Daily schedules were well communicated and, always with smiles, Betta kept the tour group together for our various comings and goings. However, Betta’s real talents were displayed when needed to improvise. More important than simply planning, Betta would easily “roll with the punches” when required or asked to deviate from her original plans. She could do this based on her intimate knowledge of several options she could utilize to meet the needs of the moment. Betta’s personality to be much more than pleasant."

Carl Robbins - USA

" Since 2014 I have worked and travelled on 4 different tours with Betta, they have all been amazing, all customized to what my group enjoys to do. I don’t have to tell her our preferences any more, they are just understood.

On each trip we are treated to special tours that you would not see with a large tour company. She personally makes each trip a pleasure and we all feel that we are with a family member when we get together with her. Can’t wait for our next trip."

Jayne Meissell Washington, NC, USA

"Hi, my name is Bob, and my wife Elizabeth and I want to highly recommend Betta. We traveled with Betta as our tour director on two Italian tours. She is wonderful, always upbeat, and very professional, a pleasure to be with. An excellent communicator, Benedetta was always well prepared and very knowledgeable about the areas we visited.

Every day she provided us with extraordinary experiences. Betta was able to adjust the day’s schedule and activities to accommodate unforeseen circumstances. She also managed special dietary requests with patience. We both look forward to traveling with Betta again soon."

For those truly epic, once-in-a-lifetime destinations, you want to leave your itinerary to the experts. Whether your dream is to see the Big Five on an African Safari, trek tall mountains, explore European cities, or something even wilder, a group tour is the easiest way to do it.

However, picking the wrong group tour company is the quickest way to ruin your trip. Make sure you choose a tour company that aligns with your goals and travel styles. Do you want an intimate group tour or do you prefer to make lots of new friends in a big group? Does the price line up with what you like (luxury vs. budget)? Is the itinerary going to all the places you want to see?

We’ve done the research and found the very best group travel tour companies for 2023 for every type of traveler.

21 Life-changing Trips Everyone Should Experience at Least Once

From African safaris to must-visit cities, these once-in-a-lifetime trips will make you want to plan your next great adventure.

Elizabeth Rhodes is a special projects editor at Travel + Leisure , covering everything from luxury hotels to theme parks to must-pack travel products. Originally from South Carolina, Elizabeth moved to New York City from London, where she started her career as a travel blogger and writer.

life international travel and tours

What's next on your travel list? With so many places worth traveling to, it can be hard to narrow down your top spots to visit.

Sometimes, it's the famous attractions, delicious food, and stunning hotels that draw us to a certain destination, and other times, it's the bragging rights that come with checking off every continent, country, or state. Whatever your motivation, we've rounded up 21 incredible trips, complete with once-in-a-lifetime experiences and iconic sights you won't find anywhere else in the world.

So, what makes a trip truly life-changing? That answer varies from traveler to traveler, but one thing is for sure: From African safaris to classic road trips, this list will make you want to plan your next great adventure.

Deciding between the historic cities of Rome, Venice, Naples, and Florence for the top destination to visit feels impossible, so the entire country of Italy deserves a spot on your list. Start in the Eternal City and head north through the rolling hills of Tuscany to visit Florence, followed by Milan or Venice, or go south to the beaches of the beautiful Amalfi Coast and Sicily.

New York, New York

Visiting the Statue of Liberty , standing at the top of the Empire State Building, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge: These are just a few of the things you can only do in New York City. Whether you dream of visiting all the places you've seen on screen, catching a Broadway show, or eating your way through the city's diverse neighborhoods, there's no doubt that NYC deserves a spot on your list.

Tokyo, Japan

Old and new come together in Japan's bustling capital city. Historic temples and shrines, busy shopping districts, delicious food, and some of the world's best theme parks and attractions — whatever your interests, there's something for you in Tokyo.

Paris, France

From watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle and viewing famous works of art at world-renowned museums to eating delicious French pastries, there are innumerable reasons that Paris deserves a spot on your list. Of course, other dreamy French destinations like Mont-Saint-Michel, Chamonix, and the Riviera are well worth a visit, too.

Busy medinas, intricate architecture, and a unique combination of cultural influences make Morocco unlike anywhere else on the planet. Whether you're traveling to bustling Marrakesh, pretty coastal cities, or remote desert towns (or hopefully, all three), a trip to Morocco is bound to be one to remember.

Monica Farber/Travel + Leisure

From the whitewashed homes of Santorini to the Ios party scene to the relaxing atmosphere of Milos, there's a perfect Greek Island for every type of traveler. Island hopping gives you the chance to experience more of what the country has to offer, but plan to spend a couple of days in Athens at the beginning and/or end of your trip.

T+L Backpack Quiz

Rory Fuller/Travel + Leisure

Machu Picchu

Seeing the historic ruins of the Incan Empire set among the breathtaking Andes at Machu Picchu is an undeniably life-changing experience. The stunning citadel ruins of Machu Picchu are worth the journey — and for some travelers, that trip, often taken by train or on foot as a multi-day trek , is a big part of the experience. Editor’s note: Machu Picchu is currently closed due to civil unrest in Peru. Visit the  official website  for the latest news and reopening details.

African Safari

Seeing majestic animals like lions, elephants, and rhinos in the wild is a dream best accomplished with an African safari . South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Kenya are among the most popular safari destinations — and in each of those countries, you'll find incredible lodges and tour operators who can help you spot these creatures in their natural habitat.

Whether you dream of cruising down the famed Nile River, seeing the Pyramids of Giza, or visiting the ancient Valley of the Kings, Egypt's historic wonders make the destination completely unique (and worthy of a spot on your travel list).

Unlike many of the action-packed trips on this list, the Maldives is synonymous with relaxation, luxury, and romance. A stay in an overwater bungalow set atop turquoise blue waters is the ultimate getaway that's worth the long-haul flight and oftentimes pricey accommodations.

Antarctica Cruise

Hoping to visit all seven continents? Cross Antarctica off your list with a cruise. Several major cruise lines have journeys to Antarctica, offering incredible views of the ice and wildlife from the comfort and safety of a ship. Travelers typically fly in and out of Buenos Aires en route to Ushuaia (where most cruises depart from); we recommend spending a few days in the fascinating Argentine city before your expedition.

Irjaliina Paavonpera/Travel + Leisure

Dubbed one of the natural wonders of the world, the Great Barrier Reef is a can't-miss for many wildlife lovers. Of course, Australia's gorgeous coastline, the iconic Sydney Opera House, and fuzzy creatures like kangaroos and koalas are also reasons to head to the destination. Fly into Sydney and spend a few days there before heading out to explore more of this expansive country teeming with natural beauty.

Galapagos Islands

Incredible and diverse plant and animal species make the Galapagos Islands another must-visit for nature-loving travelers. This stunning archipelago off the coast of Ecuador is best explored by cruise, so you can take in as many breathtaking landscapes and animals as possible during your trip.

Like the other countries on this list, India has countless destinations worth exploring, but one of the most famous attractions that travelers dream of seeing for themselves is the Taj Mahal. This 17th-century white marble mausoleum has drawn visitors to Agra for years. Luxury travelers might consider a train trip aboard the Maharajas' Express (with a stop at the Taj Mahal) as the ultimate experience. Travelers planning to visit the Taj Mahal or take the luxurious train ride will want to fly into Delhi, India's capital territory.

Petra, Jordan

The stunning ancient city of Petra is made up of several impressive structures carved into sandstone rock faces, including the famous Al-Khazneh. The city dates back thousands of years, making this UNESCO World Heritage site a must-visit for history buffs.

Passing through India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Bhutan, and Nepal, the Himalayas are home to some of the world's highest peaks — and that means breathtaking mountain views, too. For adventurous and active travelers, climbing Mount Everest (or at least trekking to Everest Base Camp) is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

American National Park Road Trip

The classic American road trip is a mainstay on many travelers' lists — and for good reason. The country's incredible national parks , including Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Yosemite, are best explored on road trips with stops at charming small towns and kitschy roadside attractions.

Great Wall of China

Stretching across China for thousands of miles, with sections dating back nearly 2,000 years, the Great Wall is regarded as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Visitors can hike along parts of the wall — some areas are located within driving distance of Beijing, so it's a perfect day trip from the city.

Easter Island

The hundreds of monolithic moai statues have drawn curious visitors to Easter Island for years. This remote Polynesian island is worth the lengthy trip for travelers hoping to see these impressive human figures, while also soaking in some incredible coastal views.

Northern Lights Trip

Catching a glimpse of the elusive northern lights is possible in several destinations close to the Arctic Circle, including Alaska, Iceland, Canada, Greenland, Finland, Sweden, and Norway. All of these places have incredible viewpoints (and even hotels where you can see the phenomenon from your bed ), in addition to great, wintry scenery. (The lights are best viewed from late fall through early spring.)

Thailand and Vietnam

A trip through Southeast Asia is a must for any traveler, especially foodies who love street eats. While you could spend weeks in each of these countries, Thailand and Vietnam can easily be paired for an exciting trip packed with lush scenery, cultural experiences, and delicious food. Have a little extra time to spare? Add Cambodia to the mix and include a visit to expansive Angkor Wat.

Nicki minaj's husband begs court to let him go on tour with her outside u.s., nicki minaj's hubby begs court for green light i wanna go on tour too.

Nicki Minaj 's husband, Kenneth Petty , is asking a court for permission to travel out of the country so he can join her on tour in Europe ... and he says he'll be needed overseas.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, KP says he isn't just looking to globe-trot with Nicki for fun -- on the contrary, he says it's necessary to join her on the European leg of her "Pink Friday 2" world tour for a bunch of reasons, mainly to provide childcare for their son.

The start date he lists for the anticipated travel schedule is April 17, 2024 ... and he says there will be stops in Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, Ireland, Switzerland, and Romania.

Petty says he plans to be back in the U.S. by July 14, 2024, right after the tour wraps up -- and is hoping for a green light to join his wife ASAP.

According to the docs, his probation officer hasn't raised any objections to his travel request. However, if Kenneth's request gets approved, he'll likely need to provide the officer with a detailed travel itinerary and also check in once he's back.

As previously reported, Kenneth is currently serving 3 years probation for failing to register as a sex offender in California. That's the reason he even has to jump through these hoops.

A judge has yet to sign off -- and the court denies his request, Kenneth's gotta stay put.

International Travel with ROW Adventures

 A Positive Force for Good!

With over 4 decades orchestrating active travel, we are in a unique position to design and bring to fruition, the finest in meaningful, relevant and enriching travel experiences that connect you with the wonders of the world while also harnessing the power of good that comes from travel. What is this power of good?  Economically, our style of travel provides a shift of wealth from the developed world to the developing world.  Socially, it provides a rich tapestry of learning for both the traveler and those visited.  Spiritually, it provides the opportunity for personal growth, introspection and the nurturing of gratitude.  Intellectually, it challenges one’s concepts and world view and leads to fascinating questions and observation.  We do our best to set the stage for all of these dynamics to be discovered and enjoyed on our tours.

How did we get to be a pioneer and innovator in the world of active and adventure travel?

Early Travel Roots

Travel was something born out of love for founder Peter Grubb and co-owner Betsy Bowen. In 1965, when Peter was just 7 years old, his parents took all 5 of their children across the United States by train and on to Europe by ship.  They spent 5 months traveling around in a VW van, camping and staying in youth hostels.  In awe of the all the world had to offer, Peter’s passion for history and exploration was cemented. His parents continued to take him to far corners of the earth and when the time came time to fly the nest, he booked a ticket to Europe. Over the course of a year, he studied French in Paris, hitchhiked across North Africa through Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, and lived on a kibbutz in Israel for 3 months.

Returning to the US, he started college at St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, and after his sophomore year got a job working as a river guide on the New and Gauley rivers in West Virginia.  This awoke a new passion and Peter found immense joy in guiding people down the river and sharing with them the natural and human history of their surroundings.

It became clear to him that sharing a world of discovery with people was his life’s purpose. He moved back West to explore multi-day rafting trips, and in 1979 founded ROW Adventures, offering white water rafting trips across the Pacific Northwest.

The Begining of International Travel at ROW

Betsy joined the company in 1982, coming from a family who also appreciated travel and the great outdoors. In 1984, they married. Their honeymoon became the launch of ROW’s international arm. They led the first tour in Greece and Turkey, staying on in the region after their delighted guests departed, to properly celebrate their marriage. Autumn tours in the Mediterranean became a pattern, and with the rafting season ending mid-September, international tours allowed ROW to become a year-round operation. By 1988, they had expanded to the former-Yugoslavia region and in 1992, they launched operations in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.

In the early years, 1984 to 1991, Founder Peter Grubb and co-owner Betsy Bowen personally led all our international tours each fall.  As we started year-round operations, we found local guides and nurtured them to lead our tours, a model we still use to this day.  We believe that locals provide the most genuine and fulfilling guide experience for our guests and while Peter still leads several tours a year in conjunction with a local guide, most of our tours are led solely by people who live in the area being visited.

Specialized International Travel Through 3 Great Brands

As the years have gone by, we have added more international destinations and now offer trips in over 25 countries by way of three distinct brands: ROW Adventures, Sea Kayak Adventures and Adventure Unbound.  We consider some of these tours “ROW Classics” and have them featured on the ROW website. You can browse all of our other international tours on our Adventure Unbound site, and for those trips with a focus on sea kayaking and whale watching on our Sea Kayak Adventures site.

In 2005 ROW Adventures launched a cutting-edge land-based tour to the Galapago s Island that included sea kayaking and camping.  It was the first of its kind and the beginning of a trend that changed the face of travel in the Galapagos.  At that time, the vast majority of tours took place aboard boats and ships.  Today, about half of those who visit the Galapagos stay in the small towns on the islands and do day tours.  Our Galapagos Unbound tour remains the vanguard and highest-quality land-based tour available and the only one that includes two nights of beach camping.  The success of this tour propelled us to expand to Peru in 2006 and then on to other countries and continents as our international traveler base expanded.

In 2012 we acquired Sea Kayak Adventures from two former ROW guides and expanded the brand and concept to offer sea kayaking and whale watching tours around the world.  Baja, Mexico and British Columbia, Canada remain our two primary kayaking destinations along with our unique Galapagos sea kayak tour, and we continue to blaze new paddle routes. We were the first sea kayaking company to offer kayaking trips in both the west, central and eastern parts of Cuba, starting in 2015. In 2019 we added our amazing Primates & Paddling tour in Rwanda.  As international travel returns in the future, expect to see more pioneering kayak adventures.

Because of our long history as a rafting and paddling company, people often didn't recognize the diversity of programs that we offered, including safaris to Africa, walking tours in Europe, deep explorations of  South America, cruises to Antarctica and more.  In order to best represent these adventures, and expand our passion for international journeys, we created a new home for them called Adventure Unbound .  Led by local guides, always sustainably operated in a way that benefits local economies and small, locally-owned businesses, these culturally-immersive, active travel adventures connect you to the people, nature and places of the destination in a natural and unpretentious way that gets you beyond the common and invigorates the mind of even the most curious traveler.

How to buy Taylor Swift tickets: Eras Tour dates and prices compared

Taylor Swift's reign continues as she ramps up for the next leg of The Eras Tour. The singer-songwriter will kick off the European portion of her world tour in Paris in May, which will continue throughout the summer. From there, she'll return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tour tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her recent Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift will release her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, so the Swiftie hype will continue this spring.

Getting tickets has become its own battle and many fans have waited hours in the Ticketmaster queue to hopefully snag some seats, if they could get a presale ticket code in the first place. While Swift continues to extend the tour, including new US dates, tickets remain hard to come by.

Below, we've put together a guide on everything to know about The Eras Tour, including the tour schedule, ticket purchasing details, resale ticket prices, and the concert film streaming options . You can also peruse resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Taylor Swift international tour dates

The Eras Tour international dates resume on May 9 in Paris. The European tour will run until August 20 in London. UK prices are listed in pounds, and start times vary from city to city. Multiple shows have age restrictions for younger kids and specifics on seating and adult accompaniment. US dates start in October and can be found under the following table.

Taylor Swift North American tour dates

The Eras tour will return to the US on October 18 in Miami. In addition to the Miami shows, Swift will perform multiple dates in New Orleans and Indianapolis. On November 14, Swift will head to Canada for several shows in Toronto and Vancouver. All North American shows start at 7 p.m. local time.

How to buy tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 tour

Original standard tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 sold out long ago for both international and domestic dates. All US tickets and many international tickets were sold through Ticketmaster , although select international locations used different services.

Tickets for most dates are available on resale websites like StubHub and Vivid Seats . These are generally higher-priced than the originals, which are no longer available. Keep in mind that some countries have rules regarding reselling tickets.

On StubHub, UK tour dates come with a note that ticket terms don't permit resale through unauthorized channels and might not be valid for entry. If this ends up being the case, StubHub notes that its FanProtect Guarantee will cover purchasers.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

Ticket prices vary by date and location. International resale tickets tend to be a bit cheaper than US resale tickets. It's worth noting that some of the cheapest tickets have restricted views.

StubHub's cheapest European tickets range from $311 (Madrid, Spain, on May 29) to £916 (London, England on August 19). The latter is around $1,139 in USD. The lowest prices for most shows are around $450 to $1,000. On Vivid Seats , the cheapest tickets for these dates go for $455 and $819, respectively.

When it comes to North American shows, the cheapest StubHub tickets range from $1,228 (Vancouver, Canada, on December 8) to $2,125 (Indianapolis, Indiana on November 1). Most of the cheapest tickets are priced between $1,200 and $2,000. On Vivid Seats, the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets on these dates start at $1,249 and $1,995, respectively. The two resale vendors generally have similarly priced offerings, but this varies from show to show.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift's tour?

Taylor Swift has a variety of opening acts, from up-and-coming singers to established groups. Opening acts vary by date. For the European leg of the tour, Paramore will open for Swift. In the US and Canada, Gracie Abrams will be the opening act.

Will Taylor Swift add more dates to the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift has already added additional stops to her tour due to popular demand, including her US tour dates this fall. She also added additional dates to some of her European city stops, including bonus performances in France and the United Kingdom, among other locations. It's unknown whether Swift will end up adding even more tour dates, but by the end of the upcoming US leg she will have been touring for almost two years, so fans shouldn't be surprised if she takes a break.

Will The Tortured Poets Department be a part of the Eras Tour?

There's no word yet on whether "The Tortured Poets Department" will become its own era on the Eras Tour, or if any songs from the album will be performed during Swift's upcoming concerts. The concert is already about 3 hours and 15 minutes long, so it might be hard to add a full era to the setlist, but the surprise song portion of the show allows for some wiggle room. We'll keep this updated once the album comes out and the tour commences in May and let you know whether any TTPD tunes have made their way into Swift's concerts.

Where can I stream The Eras Tour concert film?

If you'd rather watch The Eras Tour from home, you could always stream it on Disney+. Check out everything you need to know about streaming The Eras Tour concert film in our guide .

Note: Certain services and regions prohibit the resale of tickets. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal reselling of tickets, and entry into an event is at the venue's discretion.

Visa fees for international artists to tour in the US shot up 250% in April. It could be devastating

2024 coachella valley music and arts festival - weekend one.

NEW YORK (AP) — Performing in the U.S. for international artists just got a lot more complicated.

On April 1, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services instituted a 250% visa fee increase for global musicians hoping to tour in the U.S.

Artists, advocacy groups and immigration lawyers are concerned it could have devastating effects on emerging talent worldwide and local music economies in the U.S.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS?

If you're a musician from outside of the United States hoping to perform stateside and you filed visa paperwork before April 1, the cost per application was $460.

After that date? $1,615 to $1,655.

Bands and ensemble groups pay per performer. A standard rock band of four members went from paying $1,840 to around $6,460. And if you can't wait a few months for approval, add $2,805 per application for expedited processing.

If the application is not accepted, that money is not refunded — on top of losses from a canceled tour and missing out on “significant, potentially career-changing opportunities,” says Jen Jacobsen, executive director at The Artist Rights Alliance .

If a musician has support staff, a backing band or other employees to bring on the tour, these individuals need visas, too.

“Even if you’re Capitol Records and you have all the money in the world to throw at it, you still can’t get rid of U.S. bureaucracy,” says immigration attorney Gabriel Castro.

All international musicians require work authorization to perform in the U.S. There are few exemptions: Those are reserved for “showcases” through the Visa Waiver Program — like what is often used at South by Southwest , where international artists perform exclusively at official showcases, without pay and for exposure.

Currently, there are few hurdles for U.S. musicians looking to enter other countries for the specific purpose of earning money through live performances. According to Castro, American performers are able to enter most countries without a visa and under an exception to tourism rules.

WHAT'S THE IMPACT ON ARTISTS?

Gareth Paisey, singer of the independent, seven-piece Welsh band Los Campesinos! , will tour in the U.S. this June. The band made sure to apply for visas before the April 1 cut off, a difference of paying $3,220 or $11,305 in fees. Next time they have to get a visa, he says they'll likely try to squeeze two tours in one year — the length of their particular visa — to make up the cost.

He says the application process requires providing an itinerary for the full year and supplemental evidence: press clippings to justify their status as “career musicians,” and testimonials from people of note — often from more famous musicians.

“Nobody gets into a band because they've got a passion for making cash flow forecasts," he says. “It's unfair to expect people who are brilliant at writing songs to also be brilliant at filling out a 20-page visa application.”

After Brexit , he says touring in Europe for U.K. acts has become more complicated, but the U.S. process is by far the most complex — both in terms of paperwork and what it represents for music moving forward.

“This idea that you need to be a career musician to get a visa, and visa fees are going up, increases the idea that music is a competition ,” says Paisey. “And part of that competition is making as much money as you can — like that’s the only valid way to participate in the music industry.”

WHY HAVE THE FEES JUMPED SO MUCH?

Two reasons: They hadn't in some time, and because immigration officials are scrutinizing the process more closely.

The last increase was in 2016, when fees grew from $325 to $460.

The U.S. government is "putting more and more burden on the application process,” says Castro of BAL Sports and Entertainment Practice, which specializes in visas for musicians, entertainers and athletes.

He says 20 years ago, applications were just two or three pages. Now, they're 15 or 20 pages.

“And those are just the forms before supporting evidence,” he says. “Now I’m submitting documents that are 200 pages, 300 pages long just to explain why this band should be traveling throughout the United States.”

Officials "might have done better to look at inefficiencies in the system to save money,” he says.

Paisey says he's heard that the increase will allow the USCIS to “get rid of the backlog ... But is that because you’re going to employ more staff or is it probably because you’re going to get less applications?" he wonders, because it's going to benefit "people who can afford to go than rather than who wants to go or has the fan base to go.”

WHY HAVE THE APPLICATIONS CHANGED OVER TIME?

Castro says some of it is to account for “abuses in the system — to make sure that individuals that are coming here for certain activities actually have those activities in place," but the increased scrutiny is a lingering effect from Trump administration's immigration policies .

“The immigration process overall became more difficult for everyone. Whether you’re coming across the border, whether you’re coming here to perform at Madison Square Garden, whatever it is," he says. “That has changed the culture of U.S. immigrations agencies .”

WHO DOES THIS HARM?

Independent and emerging talent, as well as ensembles and groups.

“ Dua Lipa , the Rolling Stones , they're going to pay these fees. It's not even a rounding error. They could misplace $1,200 in their budgets and they wouldn’t even notice,” says Castro. “It's the indie rock bands, niche acts, jazz musicians from Japan who will be affected."

“Every dime counts. They have very small margins,” he adds.

“We’ve already got a problem with not enough musical acts breaking through to the next level,” Paisey says. “And this is going to stop them from getting that chance in the States.”

Touring in the U.S. is a pipe dream for many independent acts, he says, and it is in danger of “not even being a dream.”

Jacobsen points out that there will be ripple effects as well: Musicians, drivers, tour managers and beyond who would be hired to work with international talent will lose work, venues will lose fruitful bookings, festivals that focus on international talent will reduce in size, the costs of tickets could increase and so on.

She says these fee increases could affect U.S. music culture — “the richness of the music ecosystem in terms of diversity of genres.”

If lesser known, global genre artists cannot perform in the U.S., audiences will miss out on a critical cultural exchange. “We need the marketplace to be friendly and accessible to all those different types of musicians," she says.

WHAT'S NEXT?

“You're going to see a decrease in international acts coming to the United States,” says Castro. “And maybe it’s decreased frequency more than a decrease in the absolute number. We'll see less and less emerging artists.

“The harder you make it for them to come to the United States, the less you’re going to see them here.”

Local economies, too, will feel the result: “It's not just the mid-sized venue in Cleveland that will feel it, but the parking lot down the street, the restaurants and bars people go to before and after.”

And there could be long-term consequences that have yet to be seen. “There is an absolute concern that there would be a reciprocal effect," says Jacobson.

If the U.S. is making it increasingly difficult and expensive for musicians to come here, “Why wouldn't other countries do the same to our artists?”

Want to see the next total solar eclipse in 2026? An expert recommends booking travel now.

  • 2026 will be Europe's first total solar eclipse in 27 years.
  • Travelers worldwide will likely head to Spain, Iceland, and Greenland for the event.
  • A hotel expert encouraged travelers to start planning and booking their trips now.

Insider Today

It'll be two decades before the next total solar eclipse hits the US .

Another option: hop on a plane to Europe and turn the 2026 total solar eclipse into a viewing vacation.

Eclipse cartographer Michael Zeiler at GreatAmericanEclipse.com told Space.com that up to 3.7 million people likely traveled for the solar eclipse on Monday.

HotelPlanner's chief communication officer, Philip Ballard, told Business Insider that the eclipse was a major revenue generator for many cities. For places like Austin, Texas, and Rochester, New York, it could have created $1 billion in revenue, Vox reported.

"I would say the total solar eclipse has become a global phenomenon," Ballard said.

Ballard added that the next solar eclipse , which will pass through Iceland, Greenland, and Spain on August 12, 2026, could result in similar tourism and revenue influxes.

And if travelers are considering a trip to Europe for the solar eclipse, Ballard recommends planning your trip now.

Determine your eclipse viewing destination

According to Space.com , 2026 will be Europe's first total solar eclipse in 27 years. Its path will go through Greenland, parts of western Iceland, and northern Spain.

Choosing where to watch the eclipse will be a tough and important decision for travelers.

Iceland and Greenland have some positives. These regions will experience longer totality times, so viewers can watch the eclipse longer. Plus, the sun will be higher in the sky, so finding a spot to watch the eclipse will be less challenging, Space.com reported.

The downside is that these regions are more likely to be cloudy, according to the outlet.

Related stories

While parts of Spain are likely to offer clearer skies, the eclipse's timing will be shorter and closer to the horizon, which means travelers will need to plan and track down a viewing location with unobstructed views of the western horizon, Space.com reported.

Regardless of the destination, according to the outlet, one bonus is that the strongest meteor shower in the Northern Hemisphere will happen the following night, so travelers can pack two events into one trip.

Book flights and hotels far in advance

Ballard encouraged people to book their hotels in their destination of choice as far in advance as possible.

"You should start looking now and booking hotels now because those cities in the path are already going to be at peak season," Ballard said.

Ballard said it's similar to when a Super Bowl city is determined or a Taylor Swift tour date is announced — you immediately see spikes in bookings. He predicts hotel occupancy rates will hit near-record highs, and room prices may double around the solar eclipse date.

Ballard's general rule of thumb is to book international travel at least three months in advance, but since this is such an anticipated event, booking earlier is smart. His advice is to start discussing plans with friends and family. If you decide on a destination, book a refundable room to keep your options open if plans change.

Regarding purchasing a plane ticket, a study from Expedia states that international travel's sweet spot is at least six months in advance.

According to Expedia, travelers who book six months in advance save an average of 10% more than travelers booking within two months or less.

Skip the hassle of planning altogether and book a solar eclipse tour

Another option is to let a tour operator do the work for you. A handful of tour companies have seen the increased interest in the solar eclipse and launched tours designed around the event.

These tours will have predetermined locations to view the eclipse, hotel blocks reserved, and itineraries highlighting both the region and the eclipse.

However, these can sell out quickly. For example, Space and Telescope created an 11-day tour of Spain around viewing the 2026 solar eclipse. The tour has already sold out as of Wednesday, and the waitlist is full.

Other operators, such as Wilderness Travel and Eclipse Traveler, have similar itineraries for the total eclipse in 2026.

Are you still a little giddy from the magical moments of totality during Monday’s solar eclipse? Or did clouds swoop in to block your view? Maybe you just couldn’t make it to the path of totality this time. No matter what, the question now is “ Where and when will it happen again?”

“People who have never seen it before, the first words out of their mouth after the totality ends is ‘I’ve got to see another one, this is incredible, this is unbelievable.’ That is when you become addicted to these things and end up traveling no matter where the next one is,” said Joseph Rao, an eclipse chaser and guest lecturer at the Hayden Planetarium.

So, if like Mr. Rao, you’ve developed a raging case of umbraphilia — the love of eclipses — you’ll have three chances over the next four years to see the moon blot out the sun. The first, on Aug. 12, 2026, will start above Greenland, then strafe the west coast of Iceland and move along the Atlantic Ocean and over Spain. Almost a year later, on Aug. 2, 2027, another will skirt the Mediterranean coast of North Africa then cross Egypt and part of the Arabian Peninsula. The third, on July 22, 2028, will cut across Australia and the southern tip of New Zealand.

Future Eclipses

Eclipse chasers will have several more chances this decade to view a total solar eclipse .

life international travel and tours

Last week, as Victoria Sahami , the owner of Sirius Travel , was preparing to guide a group of tourists in Mazatlán, Mexico, for Monday’s big event, she was also planning for these other upcoming eclipses. Ms. Sahami joined the ranks of the eclipse-obsessed when she witnessed one in Venezuela in the 1990s. “Like many people, I was hooked. There was no going back,” she said.

Total solar eclipses happen fairly regularly — about every one to two years — in locations scattered around the world. “That’s the great thing about them: You wind up in places that you don’t normally go,” Ms. Sahami said.

A major spoiler is weather, which will be a big variable in the 2026 eclipse — one Greenland, Iceland and Spain will see.

“Iceland normally has a lot of cloud during that time of year,” said Paul Maley , who runs Ring of Fire Expeditions . “The data shows Spain to have the higher good-weather prospects of all three. However, the sun is low in the sky and the eclipse ends as the sun hits the horizon at sunset.”

Because of Iceland’s mercurial meteorology, Ring of Fire Expeditions is going all in on Spain, with a 10-day excursion on the mainland. Sirius Travel is offering not only a five-day trip to Majorca but also an eight-day tour around Iceland. It will be based in Reykjavik, and the itinerary will remain flexible on the day of the eclipse so the tour can easily pivot toward the location with the least cloud cover. Ms. Sahami recommends the trip for those who already have a few eclipses under their belt and would be happy just to take in the sights of Iceland if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

The 2027 eclipse, on the other hand, promises to be truly stellar: Luxor, Egypt — the site of numerous ancient temples as well as the Valleys of the Kings and Queens — sits right in the middle of the path of totality and will be bathed in darkness for a full 6 minutes 23 seconds. Weather-wise, it is what Ms. Sahami called “a slam dunk.” “You know you’re going to see it. You know that you’re not going to get any clouds,” she said.

But for all its potential, those considering Egypt should be aware that the State Department has a Level 3 “Reconsider Travel” warning for the country because of the risk of terrorism.

The 2028 eclipse will darken the skies over Sydney, Australia, for 3 minutes 49 seconds. It will be the first time the city has experienced a total solar eclipse since 1857. Ms. Sahami has her eyes on a trip based out of there, while Mr. Maley has chartered a cruise ship off the northwest coast of Australia. It will be winter there, he said, but that isn’t likely to mean bad eclipse-viewing weather.

If you want to see any (or all) of these eclipses, you should get started on planning and booking now, particularly if you want to sign up for a trip organized by a tour company. One of Sirius Travel’s excursions to Luxor is already full.

Scrutinize refund policies and look into insuring your trip. Several companies will fully refund your deposit if you cancel a year in advance. A lot can happen, Ms. Sahami said, “but if you think you’re going to go, why not?”

Why a major Miami cruise company has canceled over a dozen international trips for 2025

M iami-based Norwegian Cruise Line has canceled at least 14 cruises on 7 ships in 2025 as a booming industry confronts global conflict and other issues.

The cancellations include trips in May and September on Norwegian Viva, the company’s newest ship, and ones in April through June on Norwegian Sky, which frequently sails from PortMiami.

Norwegian said customers who are affected will get a full refund and a 10% discount on future sailings through Dec. 31, 2025.

In a statement, the company said that the cancellations “are a result of varied events, including the ongoing situation in the Red Sea and Israel, modified dry dock schedules for ship enhancements, a full ship charter, and lastly, to accommodate the demand for shorter close-to-home voyages to the Bahamas.”

Suspended trips include the Norwegian Jade from Feb. 20 through March 24, 2025. That ship often departs from Port Canaveral.

Norwegian remains optimistic about cruising. This week, the company ordered eight new ships, its largest ever single purchase, a milestone celebrated at Seatrade Cruise Global, a four-day annual industry conference at the Miami Beach Convention Center. They will be delivered between 2026 and 2036.

Since the terror group Hamas attacked Israel and the Gaza war started in October, cruise companies have been canceling trips to the Middle East.

Next year’s cruise cancellations affect passengers of the Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Sky, and Norwegian Viva.

A March 28 letter to passengers said: “We have been monitoring the situation in Israel, and despite our best hopes that it would de-escalate, we have made the decision to alter published itineraries that transit through and around the region.”

For Epic, the decision was made “in order to reroute her and accommodate the early start to her Caribbean cruise season.”

The Sky will be rerouted around Africa and deployed to Eastern, Western, and Southern Africa, a letter to those passengers said.

Viva is being sent to the Mediterranean, passengers were told in a letter.

Despite any security risks, major airlines including United and Delta have said they will resume flights to Israel. Next week, El Al resumes non-stop service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Tel Aviv twice a week. The Israeli airline continues to offer five flights a week from Miami International Airport.

Norwegian in its statement said the cruise company remains committed to taking its guests to “some of the most sought-out destinations around the world.” But sometimes, itineraries need to be modified to “accommodate certain circumstances.”

Other reasons for the cruise changes

But security in the Middle East isn’t the only reason for the changes.

The Norwegian Star canceled because of a “full ship charter.” That means a private organization offered to rent out the whole ship for an entire trip.

The Norwegian Spirit underwent a planned renovation in less time than anticipated, and so now wants to use that time for a longer trip. “As the renovation period will be complete prior to schedule, we now have the opportunity to enhance the originally scheduled January 21, 2025 itinerary, and offer a longer and more immersive experience,” it told guests in a letter.

Meanwhile the canceled sailings on the Norwegian Jade from Feb. 20 through March 25 is “part of a fleet redeployment to accommodate strong demand for cruises through the Panama Canal and to the Bahamas,” the company wrote in a letter to passengers.

Cruise cancellations list

Here is a full list of cruises canceled by Norwegian is listed here, provided by the company:

  • Norwegian Spirit: Jan. 21, 2025
  • Norwegian Jade: Feb. 20 through March 24, 2025
  • Norwegian Sky: April 19 through June 5, 2025
  • Norwegian Star: May 17 through June 9, 2025
  • Norwegian Viva: May 18 and 27, and Sept. 20 and 29, 2025
  • Norwegian Pearl: Oct. 15, 2025
  • Norwegian Epic: Nov. 1 and Nov. 11, 2025

If you’re a musician from outside of the United States hoping to perform stateside and you filed visa paperwork before April 1, the cost per application was $460.

After that date? $1,615 to $1,655.

Bands and ensemble groups pay per performer. A standard rock band of four members went from paying $1,840 to around $6,460. And if you can’t wait a few months for approval, add $2,805 per application for expedited processing.

If the application is not accepted, that money is not refunded — on top of losses from a canceled tour and missing out on “significant, potentially career-changing opportunities,” says Jen Jacobsen, executive director at The Artist Rights Alliance.

There are few exemptions: Those are reserved for “showcases” through the Visa Waiver Program — like what is often used at South by Southwest, where international artists perform exclusively at official showcases, without pay and for exposure.

Currently, there are few hurdles for U.S. musicians looking to enter other countries for the specific purpose of earning money through live performances. According to Castro, American performers are able to enter most countries without a visa and under an exception to tourism rules.

WHAT’S THE IMPACT ON ARTISTS?

Gareth Paisey, singer of the independent, seven-piece Welsh band Los Campesinos!, will tour in the U.S. this June. The band made sure to apply for visas before the April 1 cut off, a difference of paying $3,220 or $11,305 in fees. Next time they have to get a visa, he says they’ll likely try to squeeze two tours in one year — the length of their particular visa — to make up the cost.

He says the application process requires providing an itinerary for the full year and supplemental evidence: press clippings to justify their status as “career musicians,” and testimonials from people of note — often from more famous musicians.

“Nobody gets into a band because they’ve got a passion for making cash flow forecasts,” he says. “It’s unfair to expect people who are brilliant at writing songs to also be brilliant at filling out a 20-page visa application.”

After Brexit, he says touring in Europe for U.K. acts has become more complicated, but the U.S. process is by far the most complex — both in terms of paperwork and what it represents for music moving forward.

“This idea that you need to be a career musician to get a visa, and visa fees are going up, increases the idea that music is a competition,” says Paisey. “And part of that competition is making as much money as you can — like that’s the only valid way to participate in the music industry.”

WHY HAVE THE FEES JUMPED SO MUCH?

Two reasons: They hadn’t in some time, and because immigration officials are scrutinizing the process more closely.

The last increase was in 2016, when fees grew from $325 to $460.

The U.S. government is “putting more and more burden on the application process,” says Castro of BAL Sports and Entertainment Practice, which specializes in visas for musicians, entertainers and athletes.

He says 20 years ago, applications were just two or three pages. Now, they’re 15 or 20 pages.

“And those are just the forms before supporting evidence,” he says. “Now I’m submitting documents that are 200 pages, 300 pages long just to explain why this band should be traveling throughout the United States.”

Officials “might have done better to look at inefficiencies in the system to save money,” he says.

Paisey says he’s heard that the increase will allow the USCIS to “get rid of the backlog… But is that because you’re going to employ more staff or is it probably because you’re going to get less applications?” he wonders, because it’s going to benefit “people who can afford to go than rather than who wants to go or has the fan base to go.”

WHY HAVE THE APPLICATIONS CHANGED OVER TIME?

Castro says some of it is to account for “abuses in the system — to make sure that individuals that are coming here for certain activities actually have those activities in place,” but the increased scrutiny is a lingering effect from Trump administration’s immigration policies.

“The immigration process overall became more difficult for everyone. Whether you’re coming across the border, whether you’re coming here to perform at Madison Square Garden, whatever it is,” he says. “That has changed the culture of U.S. immigrations agencies.”

WHO DOES THIS HARM?

Independent and emerging talent, as well as ensembles and groups.

“ Dua Lipa, the Rolling Stones, they’re going to pay these fees. It’s not even a rounding error. They could misplace $1,200 in their budgets and they wouldn’t even notice,” says Castro. “It’s the indie rock bands, niche acts, jazz musicians from Japan who will be affected.”

“We need the marketplace to be friendly and accessible to all those different types of musicians,” she says.

“You’re going to see a decrease in international acts coming to the United States,” says Castro. “And maybe it’s decreased frequency more than a decrease in the absolute number. We’ll see less and less emerging artists.

“The harder you make it for them to come to the United States, the less you’re going to see them here.”

Local economies, too, will feel the result: “It’s not just the mid-sized venue in Cleveland that will feel it, but the parking lot down the street, the restaurants and bars people go to before and after.”

And there could be long-term consequences that have yet to be seen. “There is an absolute concern that there would be a reciprocal effect,” says Jacobson.

If the U.S. is making it increasingly difficult and expensive for musicians to come here, “Why wouldn’t other countries do the same to our artists?”

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds
