Our Affiliate-ICs are part of a team that provides support to each other to help you on your path to success.

We truly believe that Affiliate-ICs work hard to earn their client’s business and that relationship should never be ‘owned’ by anyone. We believe it’s ultimately the client who 'owns' the right to make their own purchase decisions. Yes… That is also true of leads you receive because of our marketing efforts.

MEI & Mouse Fan Travel™ is a proud member of ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents) IATAN, CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association), and other highly respected travel organizations that provide us with discounts and commission bonuses from many travel suppliers. We have access to all major vacation suppliers that will allow you to sell other worldwide destinations for land vacations and we represent all major cruise lines too!

What's In It For You?

By joining us as an Affiliate-IC, you own and manage your own business with our guidance. You work out of your home office, on your own schedule. You will book vacation travel for your clients through the internet and via phone and receive commission. You will also enjoy other benefits by joining forces with other professional vacation planners.

Be Sure to Check Out Other Affiliate Programs

Because there are many different flavors of agencies out there, and just as many different Affiliate programs, we encourage you to compare us against the others to be sure you are signing with the right program that fits your needs.

If you are new to the industry, it can be really exciting to get started without knowing what to look for in a program. Be sure to watch for the following red flags when considering other programs:

• Is the agency rated with the BBB? Important to check because it's your reputation in the industry at stake.
• Is the agency CLIA AND IATAN certified? IATAN is the gold standard. You will want to be affiliated with the best.
• Does the agency offer coverage for you under their Errors and Omissions Insurance policy? Be sure they have one.
• If they do business on the internet are they registered as a Seller of Travel in at least 4 states as well as their local state if required? Currently, four states require ANY agency doing business via the web to be registered in their state no matter where they are located in the US. If the agency does not carry these registrations, it's a red flag that they may not be experienced enough to know they need to register and offer certain consumer protections required by law in certain states to you and your clients.
• Does the contract state the agency owns the clients? This is often buried in the fine print. Be sure the contract allows you full rights to market and sell to your clients if you move to another agency later on.

I contemplated making this career move for several years, and did loads of research prior to choosing MEI-Travel. Reputation and commitment to excellence were high on my criteria list, and MEI has both. The training is comprehensive, giving agents an opportunity to learn about many different suppliers and vacation destinations. The admin team is always supportive and accessible. Options for continuing education are also readily available. An aspect I love about this company is the supportive nature of fellow agents-always encouraging and willing to collaborate. After being in the industry for several years, I would choose MEI-Travel to work with all over again.

I couldn't be happier with my choice of an agency to affiliate with and build my business! I have been fortunate to be affiliated with MEI and Mouse Fan Travel for 9 years. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be an affiliate with MEI. They offer all affiliates comprehensive and consistent training in all aspects of the travel industry. They also give opportunities to participate in FAMS that give hands on experience and training to increase your sales. Communication is always open, honest and consistent. I feel independent, yet highly supported at the same time in my business. Colleagues all support each other and are encouraged to share knowledge and learn from each other. I am very happy to be affiliated with MEI-Travel and Mouse Fan Travel. I started their training program in January, 2013. It was an intensive program that helped me become a successful travel planner. Beci Mahnken, the owner and CEO, is very responsive to any questions or needs of the agents affiliated with her company. The management and administrative staff are always available to offer the support or additional resources that we need to do our job. I feel that the commission percentage they offer is fair and our independent contractor fees are reasonable. They try to arrange meetings and FAM trips on a regular basis so that we can meet and network in person with others in the company. This is very important, especially for home-based agents. I have found that the other travel planners at MEI-Travel and Mouse Fan Travel are also more than willing to help other agents out by answering questions, providing support and friendship, covering for them while out of the office, and more. This is a great team, from administration to the agents, to have a successful travel planning affiliation and business!

As an Independent Consultant for MEI-Travel & Mouse Fan Travel, I have a supportive working relationship with Beci and team. I have enjoyed the flexibility & numerous opportunities given to me. Based on my workload, I can decide what training sessions I can or need to attend for either my personal growth, customer needs or my own continuing education. There are training sessions scheduled with various suppliers based on need or want that keep me updated on current trends and changes. I am given opportunities to attend several off site meetings, FAM trips and tours to keep me ahead of others. My clients have all walked away happy with the service I have provided based on the tools and resources I am given. I have learned so many things so far and look ahead to the future in growing my client base with the support of MEI-Travel & Mouse Fan Travel.

If you have a few more days to spare, venture into the dreamy Russian countryside in Suzdal or Sergiev Posad. Church domes are visible like mushrooms from anywhere and everywhere in the town like in a fairy tale. No wonder Suzdal is called the ‘Town Museum”.  It is definitely worth visiting!

Why travel to Moscow

Contrasts: 12th century monasteries and some of the tallest skyscrapers in Europe can be found side-by-side in this complex and captivating city. The diversity of this mega-city is astounding. Only a few steps away from the solemn red facade of the Kremlin and the sounds of righteous church bells, a buzzing night scene and alternative-fashion boutiques can be found.

Why visit Moscow

It would take more than two days to walk around the perimeter of the biggest city in Europe, Moscow. Many of its inhabitants barely know what’s beyond the few blocks around their flat and there are so many attractions that it’s almost impossible to know where to start. If there is such a thing as an antidote to boredom, Moscow City is it. The mind-boggling range and diversity of things to do, places to eat, parks, historical monuments and more means that a vacation in Moscow has a wealth of activities to offer for every type of traveler, from young families to retirees.

Reasons to Vacation in Moscow in 2022

The Bolshoi theatre is familiar to almost everyone as Russia’s grandest theatre, but what people don’t know is that there are many more bolshoi (big) sites in Moscow that are worth travelling all the way to Moscow to see. For more than 100 years, the world’s biggest bell has been hidden behind the Kremlin’s walls and inside Moscow’s main park (which is bigger than some countries!) there is the world’s largest outdoor ice-rink. Travelers that visit Moscow can stay at the Izmailovo, Europe’s biggest hotel, then eat at the largest and most historic McDonald’s in Europe and after that have fun at the largest European indoor theme park!

Ancient Past & Stunning Architecture:

As those who travel to Moscow will see, just because Moscow is a city of record-breaking, glitzy high-rises doesn’t mean that there is no history. On the famous Arbat street, time-worn, wooden storehouses and century-old churches are squashed up against grey, soviet blocks which are then towered over by 21st century office-blocks. Unlike its much younger sibling, St Petersburg, Moscow’s roots stretch way back to the 12th century. Within the walls of the Kremlin, the city’s oldest building the Cathedral of Assumption can be admired in all its 500+ years of age.

Culture & Convenience

For a foreigner who has never visited Russia, Moscow is the perfect stepping stone into this great land of mystery. From the country’s best classical ballet troupes to snow-white troikas trotting through the parks, all the highlights of Russian culture can be had in Moscow without any of the complications that would be expected in other, less developed regions of Russia.

Cheap as Caviar

In Moscow, everything is bargain when with the current foreign exchange rates being what they are. Even caviar doesn’t seem so dear when the exchange rate is at 60rub to the dollar, so go on indulge yourself! Take your 2022 vacation in Moscow and have the best of both worlds, with European luxury at very affordable prices.

Lena, our guide in Moscow was excellent. She was very knowledgable and could answer any question we had for her. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

We had a great time both in Moscow and St Petersburg. Your travel agency was excellent in coordinating the whole trip. Everything worked like clockwork. The guides assigned to us were very nice and friendly. They had a great knowledge of their subjects. The cars and the drivers were great. The hotels were good and the itinerary was good. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. It was nice dealing with you and your company. Thank you very much for a great Russian experience. Have a great future ahead
