Itineraries

Day 1: arrival at aswan - aswan city tour.

Welcome to Aswan ! When you arrive at the airport or train station in Aswan, our representative will meet you and help you get to your Nile cruise to start visiting the sights in Aswan:

Start your trip by visiting the Aswan High Dam , built between 1960 and 1970 to prevent flooding. Then go to the Philae Temple (Temple of Isis), built to honor the goddess Isis (the goddess of love and beauty in ancient Egypt). Finally, go to the Unfinished Obelisk , the largest obelisk of ancient times sculpted by Queen Hatshepsut.

At the end of the trip, we will embark on the cruise to enjoy lunch and overnight on board.

Meals: lunch - dinner.

Day 2: Nile Cruise - Kom Ombo, Edfu & Luxor.

Enjoy breakfast on board while sailing to Kom Ombo, where you will visit the famous Temple of Kom Ombo (Temple of God Sobek the Crocodile), followed by sailing to Edfu, where you will have lunch on board the Nile cruise, and then visit the Temple of Edfu (Horus the Falcon), which is considered one It is one of the most well-preserved temples in all of Egypt. Finally, set sail for Luxor; a galabiya party will be followed by dinner. Spend the night in Luxor on a Nile cruise ship.

Meals: breakfast - lunch - dinner.

Day 3: West Bank and East Bank of Luxor

Have your breakfast early in the morning on board the cruise, then go to the west bank of Luxor to see the Valley of the Kings (which contains the tombs of the New Kingdom), then the temple of Queen Hatshepsut Deir el-Bahari (she was the famous pharaoh who ruled the New Kingdom) and the giant statues of Memnon. Lunch was served on the boat, and then we went to the east bank of Luxor to see Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple . The main temple was built to honor the god Amun. It was linked to the Karnak Temple by a street with sphinxes on either side. It was built mainly by Amenhotep III (who was in charge of the interior) and Ramses II (who finished the temple). Dinner, disco, and music. Spend the night on a Nile cruise ship in Luxor.

Day 4: Disembarkation / Final Departure

After enjoying your breakfast and check-out from the cruise at 08:00 AM, our representative will transfer you to Luxor Airport or Railway Station for your departure.

Day 1: Arrival at Luxor - Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple

Welcome to Luxor ! When you arrive at the airport or train station in Luxor, our representative will meet you and help you get to your Nile cruise to start visiting the sights in Luxor.

Check in at noon, have lunch and then move to the East Bank of Luxor to visit The Temple of Karnak and The Temple of Luxor . The main temple was for worshipping the God Amon, and it was linked to the Karnak Temple by a street with sphinxes on either side. It was mostly built by Amenhotep III (who was in charge of the inside) and Ramses II (who finished the temple). Your Nile cruise in Luxor includes dinner and a place to sleep.

Day 2: Luxor West Bank Tour

Have your breakfast early in the morning on board the cruise, then head to the West Bank of Luxor to see the Valley of the Kings , where the new kingdom's tombs are. However, you won't see Tutankhamun's tomb because it costs extra. After lunch, we set sail for Esna/Edfu. On the way, we watched Esna lock and set sail for Edfu. In Edfu, you will have dinner and stay the night on your Nile cruise.

Day 3: Edfu Temple & Kom Ombo Temple

Have your breakfast on board, then enjoy a visit to Edfu Temple (Horus the Falcon), one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt. Sailing to Kom Ombo, lunch, and a visit to the famous Temple of Kom Ombo (Temple of God Sobek the Crocodile). Sailing to Aswan, dinner, and Galabeya Party. In Aswan, you will spend the night on your Nile cruise.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 4: Aswan City Tour

After your delicious breakfast, you'll see Aswan's highlights, including the Unfinished Obelisk in the city's granite quarry and the High Dam , built between 1960 and 1970 to prevent Egypt from being flooded by the Nile generate energy. Get back on the boat and continue your cruise. Eat dinner and stay the night at Aswan.

Day 5: Disembarkation / Final Departure

After enjoying your breakfast and check-out from the cruise at 08:00 AM, our representative will transfer you to Aswan Airport or Railway Station for your departure.

• Age from 2 Up to below 6 years: 25% of adult price
• Age from 6 Up to below 11.99 years: 50% of adult price
• Ages from 12 years = Adult price

Children policy is applied to children who share rooms with their parents (Maximum 1 Child sharing parent’s room)

Booking & Payment

Reservations:

Should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday. Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt of a deposit of 30% of the full price. ( Deposit will be 50% during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare.) This deposit counts as part of your final payment to confirm your reservation.

We accept a deposit as low as 30% of the total tour price and the rest can be paid in equal installments until the date of arrival or you can pay the rest in cash upon arrival.

Confirmation:

The customer will receive a confirmation email from the Site. The confirmed reservation form corresponds to the travel contract and includes the description of the service and its essential characteristics, as well as the price and cancellation policy.

After your Tour is confirmed we will email the final confirmation and voucher to print and bring with you. Details will include contact numbers of your tour operator and customer care and additional information for your convenience.

Cancellation Policy

We offer a very flexible cancellation policy, in case the government or the airline issues a travel warning from/to your country of departure and your destination. We are showing the flexibility not to charge any cancellation fees & we will pay a full refund.

For any cancellation, you must write a handwritten and signed and send it by email.

Cancellation by the customer:

In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied:

• From the date of booking until 45 days before your arrival date, 20% of the entire tour price will be charged.
• Between 44 and 35 days before your arrival date, 30% of the entire tour price will be charged.
• Between 34 and 25 days before your arrival date, 50% of the entire tour price will be charged.
• Between 24 and 15 days before your arrival date,75% of the entire tour price will be charged
• Between 14 and 9 days before your arrival date, 90% of the entire tour price will be charged.
• Between 8 and 1day before your arrival date, 100% of the entire tour price will be charged.

Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to the airline’s cancellation policy.

The price varies depending on the number of persons as shown in the price table including service fees and taxes.

Price quotes are in US dollars per person per night and are valid until December 31st, Except (for Christmas, New Year’s, and Easter holidays ).

All our tours are private tours or group tours.

• For private tours, they have a private tour guide and private air-conditioned cars, and you have the convenience of starting your tours.
• As for group tours, our groups include a maximum of 12 participants only during visits in private air-conditioned cars with private guides.

Upon arrival to Aswan , you will be met and greet by our English-speaking representative who will transfer you by private A-C van to your fabulous Nile cruise ship. Check in before 12:00 PM. At the beginning you will have your Lunch meal on board. After Lunch, you will be transferred to visit The High Dam , which has been erected by the Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 AD to protect Egypt from the Nile flood. After that you will enjoy sailing on the Nile by a motor boat to reach Temple of Philae , which was erected during the Graeco-Roman period and was dedicated to goddess Isis. At last you will be escorted to visit The Unfinished Obelisk , which was made out of red granite and was dedicated to god Amun Ra. After finishing your tour, you will return to your ship. At night, free at leisure on your own in Aswan. [L-D]

Day 02: Kom Ombo - Edfu & ON

Breakfast will be served on board your ship. After that you will join your Egyptologist tour guide to visit one of the most wonderful temples in Egypt, Temple of Kom Ombo , where the two gods Sobek & Haroeris were worshipped for a while. Get back to your ship and enjoy your lunch on the sun deck, watching the unique landscape of the great river Nile. Afternoon, enjoy chariot riding to Temple of Horus in Edfu, which is considered to be one of the most well preserved temples in Egypt. After finishing your tour, you will be transferred back to your ship. Afternoon, you willmenjoy relaxing on board your ship. Dinner will be served on board. At night Egyptian Folkloric Show party will be operated by staff on board.

Day 03: Luxor West Bank - Luxor ON

Breakfast on the Nile cruise. After that you will start your magical tour in Thebes, the sacred land by exploring the west bank of Luxor including Valley of the Kings , which considers as the royal cemetery of the Theban kings and rulers of ancient Egypt, and the place where our Pharaohs were buried. After that, you will proceed to visit Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. This temple is considered as one of the most wonderful examples of the Architecture in ancient Egypt, because it was totally carved inside the mountain. At the end of the tour you will visit Colossi of Memnon , which is belonging to king Amenhotep III. After that you will return to your ship to have your lunch. Afternoon, free at leisure. Dinner and overnight on the cruise.

Day 04: Check Out - Luxor East Bank

Check out after breakfast (at 08:00 AM). After that you will enjoy your tour discovering the East Bank of Luxor, including the most wonderful Karnak Temples Complex , which is considered to be the biggest complex construction in the world covering an area of a hundred. Finish your lovely tour in Temple of Luxor , built by one of the kings of the 12th dynasty & completed by the well know king Ramses II. After finishing your day tour, you will be transferred by private A-C van to your location in Luxor (where our services will be ended).

05 Days / 04 Nights Program (Every Saturday)

Day 01: luxor east bank - luxor on.

Upon arrival at Luxor airport or station, our representative will transfer you to your Nile Cruise by a private A/C van. Embarkation before 12:00 PM. Afternoon, you will discover the East bank of Luxor including Karnak Temples Complex , which are the largest structures ever build in the history of the mankind. The principal building is that of god Amun Ra, since it was considered the house of god on the earth, the earlier structure date back to the middle kingdom, but there are some references which refer to the earlier buildings as old as the 3rd dynasty. Later on, you will proceed to visit Temple of Luxor , which was built by one of the kings of the 12th dynasty and completed by the well know king Ramses II. This temple was located in the heart of ancient Thebes and, like Karnak, was dedicated to the main/chief god Amun Re. After finishing your day tour, you will be transferred back to your ship for rest and refresh. At night, Egyptian folkloric show will be operated by the staff. Dinner will be served and overnight in Luxor. Day 02: Luxor West Bank - Sail to Edfu & ON

Day 03: edfu - kom ombo - sail to aswan & on.

Breakfast on board your Nile cruise. Then your tour guide will take you in a mysterious journey to land of secrets. This guided tour of today begins by visiting one of the most wonderful temples in Egypt, Temple of Horus in Edfu, which is considered to be one of the most well preserved temples in Egypt. After that, you will revert back to your ship. Lunch will be served on board during sailing to the city of Kom Ombo.

Afternoon, you will proceed to explore Temple of Kom Ombo, where the two gods Sobek & Haroeris were worshipped for a while. Get back to your ship and enjoy your lunch.

Enjoy the sun deck, watching the unique landscape of the great river Nile. On its banks the ancient Egyptian civilization has been created and flourished.

Dinner meal will be served on board during sailing to the city of Aswan. Late evening arrive to Aswan and overnight.

Day 04: Aswan City Tour - Aswan ON

Breakfast will be served on board your ship. Later on, you will join your Egyptologist tour guide to discover the great city of Aswan, including The High Dam , which has been erected by the Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 AD to protect Egypt from the Nile flood. After that you will enjoy sailing on the Nile River by a motor boat till reach Agilika Island, where you will visit Temple of Philae , which was erected during the Gaeco-Roman period and was dedicated to goddess Isis (mother of god Horus). Finally you will be escorted to visit one of the marvelous sightseeing in Aswan, The Unfinished Obelisk , which was made out of red granite and was dedicated to god Amun Ra. After finishing your day tour, you will get back to your ship. Lunch will be served on board. Afternoon tea will be served on board. At night free at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.

Day 05: Disembarkation from cruise - Departure to Cairo

Check out after breakfast. Then our representative will accompany you to Aswan airport - station to take your flight to Cairo (Breakfast) **

Optional Tour: Excursion to Abu Simble temples either by private coach or by domestic flight: you will be met with our English-speaking tour guide in Aswan who will transfer you by private A-C van to Abu Simbel, lies south of Aswan on the western bank of the Nile, 180 miles south of the First Cataract in what was Nubia. The site was known as Meha in ancient times and was first documented in the 18th Dynasty, when Ay and Horemheb had rock-cut chapels hewn in the hills to the south. Upon arrival, you will proceed to visit Abu Simbel Temples, which were built by the well-known king Ramses II. The biggest temple was called as the Great temple. It was built by Ramesses II and being dedicated to the famous god Rahorakhty. While the smaller temple and it was dedicated to king Ramesses II himself and his beautiful wife queen Nefertari. After finishing your day tour, you will drive back toward Aswan. Arrive Aswan and be transferred by private A-C van to your chosen hotel there for check in, rest and refresh or transfer to Aswan airport to catch your domestic flight to Cairo.

The ship (Steigenberger Regency) was very clean and staff was friendly and attentive. The excursions facilitated by the property were of good value and interest.

The ships interior was nice, the rooms were good size, comfortable and clean. The open buffer food was delicious.

This cruise is truly magic and amazing! We really enjoyed our stay for 3 nights. Beautiful views from both our cabin and the top open air deck, specially while docked in Aswan and cruising up the Nile. The ship is so well kept and you can see they take good care of it every single day. Accommodation clean, spacious and very nicely decorated. Food delicious. And staff, what can we say! The highlight without a doubt, all staff from waiters to chefs to managers, they could not be more helpful, attentive and enchanting. Thank you so much everyone for making our stay so special! Today, the breakfast will be also on MS Nile Style Nile cruise board. This morning, we will visit the beautiful preserved Edfu temple. In fact, the temple also known as Horus temple, the Falcon God. Moreover, the temple built in 237 BC during the reigns of six Ptolemy’s. Furthermore, the temple indeed is the best temple which preserved in Ancient Egypt. Moreover, the temple is the second largest after Karnak temple. In fact, Horus temple built from sandstone blocks. The huge Ptolemaic temple constructed over the site of a smaller earlier temple. And then, there will be a transfer to Luxor airport to catch your flight.

MS NILE PLAZA

My friend and I went on a Saga Nile cruise and our boat was The MS NILE PLAZA which was listed as a 5* boat but fell very far short of even a 4* boat. There were many things that were good about it. The food, reception, staff, cleaning were all good but it was tired old boat with no 5* class about it and as we had both been on many Nile Cruises previously we had a lot to compare it with. The sun deck was superb but the pool was diabolical because the ladder going into the pool fell short of the bottom of the pool so everyone who managed to get in had to be hauled out by burly men. The rooms were tired, very small and they had no drawers to put your clothes in! Very odd. The wine served at meals was from a box that was poured into bottles! We've had much better on other Nile cruises. The food was good but we were restricted to a very strict 8.30 breakfast finish every day, so lie in if we had wanted. To top it all on our last day they changed it to 8am finish and didn't tell us. Neither of us wanted to go to the Valley of the Kings that morning and we were shocked to be told no breakfast for us. After an argument they said we could go up to the deck and have croissants and coffee. So all in all the cruise was awful, not at all a 5* experience, cheap and restrictive. NEVER AGAIN ON THAT BOAT. I'm looking at going on another Nile cruise next year, but NOT with Saga as I'm surprised to see they are still using that tired old tug.

Went on a Nile Cruise which was always a dream and paid for all inclusive drinks but soon found out that the beers were poured from cans that had already been left open for hours or even from the day before in a non- refrigerated cupboard. This practice applied to all bars on the boat. Anyone not on all inclusive and actually paying for a beer actually got a full fresh unopened can but all inclusive guests had to settle for flat stale beers from opened cans. I raised this issue with the bar manager and you travel who didn’t want to know. Unfortunately there is no option to offer no star otherwise I would. Please consider these concerns before considering using this company again I certainly won’t

Just completed a 7 day cruise on the River Nile. The boat was described as 5 star luxury but was more like a European 3 star. The boat was rather old fashioned but still clean and had its own charm. The air conditioning was superb considering how hot it was outside. The food was okay, always served very hot and there was quite a good variety of vegetables, fish, beef, chicken mostly served with rice. Omelettes were made to order at breakfast which was lovely. There was no WiFi on the boat but you could purchase a SIM card. There could have been more games or other activities onboard otherwise there was just the small pool on the upper deck. I only took part in one of the many tours available to the passengers as I was quite unwell. I was told they were really good. Cleaning of the cabins was very thorough and also had my clothes laundered. This was very reasonably priced and they were very clean

We did this as part of an Insight tour. Its all about expectation, we were expecting 5 star, as per the Spring Tours website and we were disappointed. The boat was quite old but had been superficially renovated some years ago. Our room was of a good size for a boat but was only superficially cleaned, there was dust under the furniture which could be readily seen, the bathroom had mould on the ceiling and in some of the grout around the bath/shower. There were gaps in the joints between the bath and the tiles where dirt accumulated and the bathroom door was visibly rotten at the bottom. It was not only our room as I commented to other passengers and found the same. The much advertised top deck was very basic. There was a bar, but they seemed to have to bring drinks up from 3 floors below. There was a pool, but most if it is only a few inches deep.. The staff were friendly and mostly provided good service. The food was of variable quality. All meat was overcooked and often covered in sauce. I was told it was a food safety issue but it was often not pleasant to eat There was a good variety of salads and desserts. They had little understanding of dietary requirements or allergies. But dont let me put you off cruising the Nile. It was a lovely experience on the top deck watching Eqypt go by. Just understand the quality of your boat. There are a couple of hundred of them. I suspect most of them are of similar quality. Also the Insight guide we had was fantastic.

Outstanding experience! Worth doing whatever you have to do to go there and travel the Nile River and wake up early to catch the sunrise. The light on River and animals in the early morning is fascinating!

Well we were booked on this boat by you travel....boat very old..definitelynot a 5 star more like 2 maybe...cabin really bad with mould on bathroom tiles, warping ceiling, switches that were not in place etc....you get greeted by the guide ours was Khalid.....all he's agter is booking the tours and asks for the tips constantly....we like to travel on our own so redused to take tours with him so this made him more aggravating.....when I told him that I will give tips to whoever I want he got really shirty....he is very arrogant even with the people from our group....people had problems understanding him on tours so goos job we did ours on our own....still he kept pestering us for extra tours and tips....it's all a big con as from the hotel representative he told us since we booked full board we had water and soft drinks with our meals....this is not right as they make you pay as is not true....very misleading....staff and waiters are very hard working but once you give them tips they will stop serving you...by the end of our trip nostly everyone was sick..fever sore throats etc.....anyway if I had to come again I will definitely choose another boat to go on....wasn't a nice experience although the places that we visted were marvellous.

Spent 7 nights on board MS Jamila. We had a wonderful time. The ship in lovely as was our room, clean and well looked after. The first thing that happens is you pay 27 UK pounds per person tips, I don't like being told what to tip and I also fear that if the staff get the tips at the start of the trip what incentive do they have to look after you, but I need not have worried everyone was fantastic. The food was very good with a great verity, the only drinks that are included is water, juice tea and coffee with breakfast, and tea and coffee with afternoon tea. Drinks with lunch and dinner had to be purchased, I do think we should have had water, tea and coffee with all meals. Alcohol was served in the restaurant at your table and also in the bar. The drinks we had were wine, not a big choice but a bottle of white wine was £15.00 a can of beer was £3.50, they ask you to settle your bar bill on the evening before you leave. We started our trip in Luxor at a place called Viking , but we were not near anything so just had to stay on the boat, it would have been nicer if they really had docked in Luxor. we purchased the full excursion package which we thoroughly enjoyed, we also purchased the trip to Abu Simbel which was amazing, a 3.45am wake up call then a 4 hour coach trip, but it was well worth it. The temples that we visited were amazing, only thing that I didn't like was the bazars people trying to sell you stuff. You also need to have money, I took £1 coins but other people had euros or US dollars to pay to use toilets, you see some amazing things on this cruise, meet wonderful people but it is also very taxing, early mornings and then all the walking. The boat also had entertainment of an evening, belly dancers, whirling dervishes, Egyptian music, all good and interesting, We bought soda and water from the coach drivers all £1 or a euro or dollar. People on the docks were selling 2 x 2 litres of water for £1, euro or dollar just check the bottles are sealed. Overall I would recommend this boat, cruise, excursions and especially all the lovely people that made it special.

This ship is old and interesting. As such it differs from other cruise ships on the Nile. We were only 11 people on the 1 week trip Luxor/Aswan/Luxor, i think it carries about 40 when full. As a consequence, there was an abundance of staff and they were all lovely. Well, nearly all. the restauarant manager is the only one who needs to change his attitude. The decor and ambience is relaxing and makes for an interesting trip. The tour guide from VJV was first class and I would recommend her to anyone. The food is equally of a high quality and the service excellent. The only down side for me is the size of the cabins and the quality of the bathrooms. If you are not as nimble as in days of etc. you will find using the shower (over the bath) and bath very difficult. To operate the shower controls you need to get soaked first or risk scalding yourself (the water is hot). The main problem is that they try to squeeze two people into a cabin made for one and then charge a single supplement for one person occupancy. The single cabins are the same size as many twins but they only offer two such cabins. If you are a single traveller they then charge you a huge supplement to occupy a tiny cabin with two beds squeezed in. It would be impossible for two people to use these cabins. Access to the balcony is nigh on impossible as the bed is across the doors and needs to be moved in order to open the door. As there are so few people travelling at the moment, i think this is poor practice as they are losing all the goodwill. I would never book a twin for sole occupancy again as i had to pay more to move. Be warned! Everything else is brilliant, I cannot comment on the Noble caledonia 2 week trip from Cairo, but other son the trip did say that it is too long and that NC import their own guides from UK...I cannot imagine that the Egyptian lady on our trip would not be superior to this but....

Fabulous experience with you know world in Egypt. We cruise the Nile from Cairo to us one. The ship was the Tosca. It is quite luxurious. Staff incredibly friendly. Wonderful excursions. Highly recommend sailing with Uniworld. As American citizens, we had police escorts when we were taking coaches to and from tombs. We also had armed guards with us as we traveled through the bazaars and the shops. We felt extremely safe and they were actually no incidences. The Egyptians really need the tourists for their explorations. They were more than gracious to us. Please think about Egypt. It was a delightful experience and very safe.

The cruise was amazing, full on visiting then some wonderful moments on the boat watching the world go by and making new friends.

The cruise is fantastic taking you to many sights on the side or near the river Nile. We had ten excursions on our trip each one was great and value for money . You visit tombs ,temples have a felucca ride and museums which give you a flavour of life in those times. To visit the new dam and old dams in Aswan was also well worth it.
