Nile Rodgers & Chic have announced a UK tour for summer 2023 with special guest Sophie Ellis-Bextor – find all the details below and purchase tickets here .

Rodgers and his band will be performing five shows across the UK next year starting at The Piece Hall in Halifax in June 16.

From there they will play Southampton Summer Sessions on June 23rd, followed by Bedford Summer Sessions on July 7, Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod on July 11, and Dreamland Margate July 13.

“Thrilled to announce we’re bringing the ‘Good Times’ back across England and Wales in 2024!” Rodgers shared in a social post today (October 23). “Mark your calendars because we’re gonna light up the night, celebrate life, and dance like there’s no tomorrow.”

Alongside Ellis-Bextor, Deco will also be joining the tour as special guests.

General sale tickets go live this Friday, October 27 at 9am BST, and you can purchase yours here . Pre-sale tickets go live for the Halifax and Llangollen show on Tuesday (October 24), at 9am, while the Southampton and Bedford pre-sales start on Wednesday (October 25).

Back in August, Rodgers was among artists who backed a campaign against the merging of local BBC Introducing radio.

Nile Rodgers & Chic will embark on a UK tour next summer with special guest Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

The disco legends will perform five shows across the country, starting at The Piece Hall in Halifax on June 16 and stopping in Southampton, Bedford and Llangollen. 

Wrapping at Dreamland Margate on July 13, the group will be joined by pop star Sophie for the dates. Deco will also perform.

Nile Rodgers and CHIC have announced two massive concert appearances at the iconic London venue O2 Academy Brixton, on Monday, September 19, 2022 as well as a second show at O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester on September 21. Tickets go on general sale Friday, August 5 at 10am via the official Live Nation website .

Nile Rodgers is truly exceptional. He’s a multiple Grammy-winning composer, producer, arranger and guitarist who’s been inducted into both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. They'll be performing in London and Manchester

Music icon Nile Rodgers and Chic announced two gigs earlier this week. They will be doing two gigs for an End of Summer Party taking place in Manchester and London this September.

Tickets are on sale now from Magic Radio Tickets.

The 'Le Freak' singer has just finished his UK tour, but it seems he can't wait to get back to the UK with two more gigs at London's O2 Academy Brixton, on Monday 19th September 2022 and at O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester on 21st September 2022.

Speaking about his new gigs Nile Rodgers said: "After the blues of Covid we’ve had an incredible summer in the UK getting up front and close with all of our incredible fans.

"What better way to celebrate the last day of summer and the first day of autumn than with our final UK shows of the year at Brixton and Manchester. We want to invite all the Lionesses who’ve made the whole country so proud to get up on stage for what will truly be Good Times!"

Legendary musician Nile Rodgers and his band Chic have announced a very exciting UK tour set for next summer. The disco pioneers will be performing 5 shows across the UK next year, kicking off their tour in June 2024.

Rodgers co-founded the group Chic with Bernard Edwards in the late 70’s and has since gone on to write, produce and perform on records that have sold more than 500 million albums and 75 million singles worldwide.

In other Nile Rodgers news, the musician recently featured on British New Wave band Duran Duran’s latest single “Black Moonlight”.  This collaboration is not the first time Rodgers and Duran Duran have worked together, as the Chic co-founder also produced the “Hungry Like The Wolf” band’s 1986 album Notorious . When speaking of the collaboration, Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes said   “Nile Rogers is a force of nature. When we get into a room, we start playing, and magic happens. Nile always says that CHIC is his first band, and Duran Duran is his second.”

Moreover, the band’s frontman Simon Le Bon added   “‘Black Moonlight’ is this classic Duran Duran-Nile Rodgers collaboration. When Nile started playing his guitar in the studio, he really inspired everyone with his riff, and the song just kind of wrote itself.”

Award winning composer, producer, arranger and guitarist Nile Rodgers will be bringing CHIC back to the road in December 2018, kicking off their latest UK dates in Glasgow, and running through to a huge show at London’s O2.

The announcement comes as the musical legends prepare to release their first new album in 25 years, It’s About Time , on 21 September 2018.

The suitably titled full-length record follows 2015’s release of the outfit’s first new material in years, I’ll Be There .

How to get Nile Rodgers & CHIC tickets early

Fans can access the presale for these Nile Rodgers & CHIC dates by pre-ordering It’s About Time before 16:00 on Wednesday 5 September 2018.

Those pre-ordering the album will receive a unique code, granting early access to tickets from 9:00 on Thursday 6 September.

While Rodgers initially appeared on stage without much fanfare, Le Sserafim gave credit to their special guest by giving him a shoutout, much to the delight of their audience. 

As befitting a Coachella performance, Rodgers brought his trusty signature 'Hitmaker' Strat with him, and contributed his signature chucking playing style to the track Unforgiven .

This is not the first time Nile Rodgers has worked with the K-pop group. He lent his expertise to Le Sserafim on the recorded version of the track, which went on to peak at number two on South Korea's Circle Digital Chart. This Coachella performance marks the first time the two collaborators performed their track live.

In an interview with Grammy.com , Rodgers spoke about what attracted him to collaborating with Le Sserafim on Unforgiven : “When I heard the song, I loved it. This may sound nerdy, but I love the fact that it seems like a lot of the K-pop that I'm hearing lately, the new music, [has] the harmonic changes. 

“The chord changes are a lot more interesting than what's been happening [in other music fields] over the last few years.  And that's made me excited, because I come from a jazz background, so to hear chord changes like that is really cool. They’re not afraid, which is great to me.”

The beloved Chic co-founder seems to be becoming the guest star of choice for artists performing at Coachella. Just last year, Rodgers joined Blondie onstage to perform their 1980 hit Rapture , as well as Debbie Harry's solo track Backfired . 

Blondie super-fans would know that Nile Rodgers and Blondie go way back. He produced Debbie Harry's debut solo album KooKoo , while Rapture was influenced by Chic's Good Time .

Nile Rodgers is gearing up for his “Nile Rodgers & CHIC” tour, which kicks off on May 18 at Wildflower Arts & Music Festival in Richardson, Texas, followed by a June and July leg in the UK and Europe.
