GLORY OF NUBIA - DAY TOURS (Aswan) - All You Need to Know BEFORE You Go

Nubia Flip 5G review: A Galaxy Z Flip-like experience for half the price

A cheap phone that folds, rather than a foldable phone that's cheap.

The Nubia Flip 5G's cover display, with the lock screen visible

Tom's Guide Verdict

Nubia's first flip foldable is strikingly cheap, which makes it more accessible for more would-be owners. But you’ll find key features of the Nubia Flip 5G to be limited, especially when compared to similar devices from Samsung and Motorola. Still, as the low-cost flip phone out there, the Flip 5G still shines as a budget alternative.

Incredible value for a foldable

Fast charging

Attractive and unique design

Photography is limited in scope and quality

Lacks performance power

Likely to receive few Android updates

  • Software and special features

The arrival of Nubia Flip 5G heralds the birth of a new kind of phone — a device that could feasibly count as both one of the best foldable phones and best cheap phones of the year at the same time. But you have to question if this is a melding of two categories that users, or indeed the available tech, is ready for.

It's certainly an attractive offer. For the price of a Google Pixel 7a , Nubia will sell you a foldable phone that matches up to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 , Motorola Razr 2023 and Motorola Razr Plus in several ways, while costing almost half as much. But the money you save on the Nubia Flip 5G comes at the expense of some key luxuries like an ultrawide camera, a flagship-grade chipset and a long guaranteed slate of updates.

You should probably go for one of the above foldables, or wait for a Galaxy Z Flip 6 or Razr Plus 2024 if you want to get the best possible flip phone experience. But if that's not an option with your budget, the Flip 5G is at your service, offering an experience that no other phone in its price bracket can match right now.

Nubia Flip 5G review: Specs

Nubia flip 5g review: price and availability.

The Nubia Flip 5G is on sale globally from April 23, though U.K. customers will have to wait until the 29th for pre-orders to open. But the interesting thing about this phone is its price.

At a starting price of $500/£500, the Nubia Flip 5G’s price falls within the same range as the Pixel 7a, Galaxy A55 or OnePlus 12R . More importantly, you’ll pay $200/£300 less than you would for the next-cheapest foldable, the Moto Razr 2023. There is a $700/£700 edition of the Flip 5G with more memory too, but a large part of this phone's charm is its affordability.

Nubia Flip 5G review: Design and display

As you pick up the Nubia Flip 5G for the first time, it feels just as special as any other foldable despite its much lower price. The matte textures of the glass back panels and aluminum frame help the phone stay smear-free even after you've been handling it for hours, as well as making it more pleasing to hold.

I like the bright yellow color of my review unit, but the lilac and black versions of the Nubia Flip 5G also look attractive in the renders I've seen.

The Nubia Flip 5G's side rail, including its bright red power button

Dominating the design is the metal-edged circular bump in the top half of the phone, containing the two main cameras and a round 1.43-diameter external display, about the size of a smartwatch screen. It's smaller, and less regularly shaped, than what you get on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 or the Motorola Razr Plus, but it is similarly versatile, as we will see later.

The Nubia Flip 5G from the back, half open

The illusion of luxury starts to crumble as you open the Flip 5G’s hinge, which has a less-refined action, feeling almost crunchy to operate unlike the wonderfully smooth articulation of the Galaxy Z Flip 5's display. Fortunately on the inside, Nubia's done just as good of a job as Samsung in keeping the crease in the display to a minimum. You'll still feel it if you swipe a finger along the screen, but I never felt that the crease got in the way when I was using the Nubia Flip 5G.

The Nubia Flip 5G's hinge, closed

For its main screen, the Nubia Flip 5G uses a 6.9-inch FHD OLED panel that’s capable of an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate (by default, the screen’s display rate is set at 60Hz for some reason). You also get 2160Hz PWM dimming for reduced eye strain on this panel, an uncommon feature on mainstream Android phones in some parts of the world, but one you find on more and more Chinese devices.

The Nubia Flip 5G's main display, open at a right angle

Measuring nearly 7 inches across, the Flip 5G's display is larger than the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the same size as the Motorola Razr and Razr Plus 2023. The Nubia's cover display is rather dinky in comparison to the respective 3.4- and 3.6-inch outer screens of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Razr Plus, and still smaller than the 1.5-inch outer strip on the basic Razr 2023.

Nubia Flip 5G review: Cameras

The Flip 5G's limited camera loadout consists of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera on the outside, plus a 16MP inside camera for taking selfies.

The Nubia Flip 5G from behind, fully opened

That's a more limited selection of sensors than its rivals from Samsung and Motorola, both of which offer an ultrawide camera. The Nubia's 50MP sensor does allow for 2x lossless digital zoom for some added versatility even if there’s no dedicated telephoto lens.

For our main camera face-off, with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 taking on the Nubia 5G, we have shots of a birdhouse floating in water. The Nubia's clearly got a cooler color profile than the Samsung does, but that doesn't justify its image being flatter and drabber, and failing to capture the detail in the ripples.

Zooming in at 2x reveals the same defects for the Nubia Flip’s shot — they’re just closer up. You could perhaps argue the clearer reflection in the Nubia's shot is preferable to having the additional water movement visible in the Samsung shot, but it's less accurate to what I could see through my own eyes when I stood at the edge of Paddington Basin.

There are fewer ripples to get in the way of this shot of a colorful narrowboat. So it's undeniable how much more lively the Samsung's image looks, even with some areas getting a little too dark due to the intense colors.

We now jump to the 16MP inside camera, the one you'll most likely use for capturing your selfies most of the time. Perhaps this is just because we're using a Samsung phone (famed for their highly saturated images) as a comparison point, but the Nubia Flip 5G's shot looks flat and lifeless next to the Galaxy Z Flip's.

Lastly, we've got another selfie, but this time taken with the main camera with the phone closed. This lets us sample how the Nubia's depth sensor assists with the portrait effect, and it turns out it helps quite a lot, making the bokeh effect nice and sharp. The Nubia Flip image is also much brighter than the Samsung shot in a surprise reversal, and it takes a full 4:3 image, rather than a square one as the Z Flip does.

However, capturing this self-portrait with the main camera was a little more difficult on the Nubia Flip 5G than it was with the Galaxy Z Flip 5, since using a circular window instead of a rectangular one to line up the shot is means it's hard to judge where the edges of your photo are.

Nubia Flip 5G review: Performance

Nubia picked the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip to drive the Flip 5G. It’s the same chip found in the Motorola Razr 2023, but it’s a lower-grade offering than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 inside the Galaxy Z Flip 5. It also trails the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 used by the Razr Plus.

Unsurprisingly, the Nubia matches up with the Razr 2023 in terms of scores, but trails behind the two more powerful foldables. While the gap is hard to ignore across the CPU and GPU tests, uou also again have to consider how much less the Nubia costs than these other foldables, with the chipset being one of the most expensive components and an obvious place for Nubia to cut costs with.

The Nubia Flip 5G playing Asphalt 9

Nubia offers the Flip 5G with an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage memory package by default, just like the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Moto Razr Plus have. There's also a 12GB RAM and 128GB storage model up for grabs if you're happy spending another $200.

Nubia Flip 5G review: Battery and charging

A battery capacity of 4,310 mAh gives the Nubia Flip 5G more room for power than any of its rivals — the Galaxy Z Flip in particular, as Samsung’s phone runs on a diminutive 3,700 mAh capacity.

The Nubia foldable doesn't seem to take full advantage of the extra space, though. It saw a 32% battery drop over 3 hours of YouTube video playback. On the same test, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 drained by 25%, a large-enough difference to suggest that Samsung's using its battery a little more efficiently as well as benefiting from using a smaller display. (The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powering the Z Flip 5 also has a well-earned reputation for superior power management.)

The Nubia Flip 5G stood on its edge, showing the cover screen

Offering 33W charging and a compatible charger in its box, the Nubia Flip 5G again looks stronger than its rivals on paper. Fortunately in this case, the numbers match up to the performance. The Nubia Flip 5G charged to 40% after 15 minutes, 73% after half an hour and 100% at the 47-minute mark. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 and its 25W charger power up to 52% in 30 minutes, and the Razr Plus to 66% with its 30W system.

One unfortunate absence from the Nubia Flip 5G is wireless charging support, something the Z Flip and both Razrs feature. Perhaps you can forgive the absence given the Nubia Flip 5G’s price, but it's a handy feature to have.

Nubia Flip 5G review: Software and special features

It's weird to see the Nubia Flip 5G running Android 13 in the form of parent company ZTE's MyOS 13. This software is in line with what its competitors run out of the box, but only because they launched last year. It would be good to see an Android 14 update for the Nubia Flip soon; otherwise it'll be inarguably outdated by the time we see the next Samsung and Motorola foldables later this year.

Nubia hasn't gone all-in on foldable-specific features for the Flip 5G, but there's enough to differentiate it from other Android phones. You can split the screen between two apps, or open some in a unique layout when the phone's partially open. The camera app in particular benefits from this, since it offers the all-important front screen preview function to help the subjects of your photo see how they look before you hit the shutter button.

The Nubia Flip 5G half open, playing a YouTube video in Flex mode

With the Nubia Flip 5G closed and locked, you still get your notifications coming through on the cover screen, along with your choice of several app widgets and shortcuts you can swipe between. Yet, there's no quick settings access, nor keyboard access for quickly replying to messages. The Nubia Flip 5G also doesn’t offer the option to run third-party apps on the cover screen like comparable flip foldables, meaning it's hard to try and keep the phone closed when trying to complete basic tasks.

The Nubia Flip 5G's cover display showing the notifications shade

At least you won't have to turn the phone to a specific orientation to use the cover screen. Perhaps the best quality-of-life feature offered by the Nubia's outer display is that you can use it facing up or down, making it easier to check things no matter how you happen to pick the phone up out from your bag or pocket.

As for the future, we don't hold out much hope for the Nubia Flip getting many Android upgrades. Even ZTE's most expensive phones aren't guaranteed any number of updates in particular, so you could find certain apps start to misbehave or even refuse to function

It’s definitely something to consider if you want to keep the phone running for as long as possible.

Nubia Flip 5G review: Verdict

The Nubia Flip 5G succeeds in its mission to be a cheaper foldable than you've ever seen before. But beyond the price tag, there's not much else that'll blow your mind with this phone.

The Nubia Flip 5G's cover display, with the lock screen visible

If you've been curious about a foldable phone, but reluctant to spend close to $1,000 on one, this could be the device you're looking for, even if saving up for a Motorola Razr or Razr Plus, or a Galaxy Z Flip 5 would deliver a more polished experience. The anticipated Galaxy Z Flip 6 could shake things up, but assuming Samsung’s phone stays the same price as the Z Flip 5, the Nubia still offers quite a bargain for a foldable phone, in exchange for performance, photography acumen and some foldable-specific features.

For the price, you may also want to consider if you'd be better off with a Pixel 7a or Galaxy A55, even though those phones aren’t foldable. Still, for all its flaws and limitations, I've had great fun testing the Nubia Flip 5G, and that makes up for a lot.

Neil Young Stuns at 2024 Tour Launch, Unveils Lost ‘Cortez the Killer’ Verse

By Andy Greene

Andy Greene

In typical Neil Young fashion, virtually nothing was revealed about his 2024 U.S. tour before it kicked off Wednesday night at San Diego’s Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre, other than the fact he’d be backed by Crazy Horse , and that Micah Nelson would be taking over guitar duties from Nils Lofgren. Would he pull a Greendale and debut an entire rock opera nobody had ever heard? Would he focus the set around the three new studio albums he cut with Crazy Horse between 2019 and 2022? Might he repeat the concept of his 2023 solo tour by spotlighting obscure Eighties and Nineties album tracks and skipping most of his hits?

They jammed for six minutes before Young sang the opening lines, igniting the crowd into a frenzy, but the big moment came near the end, when he began singing completely unfamiliar words. As he teased earlier this month , it was the legendary lost segment of the song that failed to record during the 1975 Zuma sessions because the console briefly lost power. Young recently found the lyric manuscript, and worked out where they originally fit in the song.

“I floated on the water,” Young sang. “I ate that ocean wave/Two weeks after the slaughter/I was living in a cave/They came too late to get me/But there’s no one here to set me free/From this rocky grave/To that snowed-out ocean wave.”

It was a remarkable moment to witness. After 49 years and over 540 live performances, the world finally got to hear the song as Young originally wrote it.

The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

Young was talking about “Scattered (Let’s Think About Livin’),” from 1996’s Broken Arrow, which was the newest song they played all evening. The rest of the set was music recorded when Briggs was alive, largely between 1969 and 1979, beginning with “Don’t Cry No Tears.” He followed it up with a triple shot of Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere : “Down by the River,” “The Losing End,” and the title track. And it was a particularly mesmerizing “Down by the River” that stretched out for 16 blissful minutes.

After the Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere mini-set, the quartet (Crazy Horse 4.0?) kicked into one of the greatest renditions of “Powderfinger” I’ve ever heard, thanks to improvisational guitar work prior to each verse by Young and Nelson. What came next was a 16-minute “Love and Only Love,” the band walking offstage, and then Young strapping on an harmonica rack for solo acoustic renditions of “Comes a Time,” “Heart of Gold,” and “Human Highway” that had the entire amphitheater singing along.

The band returned to wrap up the night with “Don’t Be Denied,” an autobiographical tale that carries a lot more emotional weight when Young sings it at age 78 as opposed to 28, and a thrashed-out “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black).”

He might duplicate this exact set when the tour continues the following night at the same venue. He might not repeat a single song. He may even perform a complete classic album, which is something he started doing late last year. The joy of seeing Neil Young is that you never have any idea what’s going to happen once the lights dim.

Bad Bunny brought a live horse, an orchestra and Puerto Rican pride to Austin concert

nubia tours reviews

There was a live horse.

Friday night at the Moody Center, reggaetón idol and fashion trendsetter Bad Bunny switched sides and costumes. Earlier he donned a suit and wig under an L.A. Dodgers cap, then he rocked a tan jacket with frills. In between, a soliloquy about taking the road less traveled via pre-recorded video.

In it, Bunny crossed the dessert on a horse with the self-serious swagger of a cologne ad.

“No one else dares to take this path,” he narrated on-screen in Spanish.

Then, for about 15 seconds, he walked into the arena on a brown horse, gave it a pat, and we never saw it again. For one of the world’s mightiest rock stars, it was the most over-the-top flourish in a night filled with them.

A full orchestra; 20 back-up dancers; a rotating cat walk; 10 to 15 minutes of just posing on said cat walk to breathe in the idol worship while giving back brooding stares; barroom singalongs of sweeping breakup ballads like “un x100to” performed while lounging on top of a grand piano; the audacity to not book an opener; the bravado to leave out song of the summer 2022, “Callaita,” which was in a beer commercial, from the set list. And like Leo Messi, the rock star born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio never bothered to address his adoring English-speaking public in anything other than his native Spanish.

He’d ask where all the Latinas in Austin, Texas were at to get screams, sure, but also offer affirmations about identity and self-actualization.

“What we can’t control is what people will say about us,” he’d say, later shouting out how special it was to see Puerto Rican flags from fans. (I counted more than 10 large ones stretched out by patrons, including a giant flag draped over the mezzanine wall like a soccer match.) In his pep talk, Bad Bunny was alluding to being a tabloid regular—he split with Kendall Jenner in December—but also seemingly shouting out what it’s like to be a Latinx person in the U.S.

And the Spanish-first community was proudly about town. Selling $10 cowboy hats; enjoying hot dogs with a million toppings, fresh off a street griddle; even third- and fourth-generation Texans seemed excited to tap into the fashion and swagger of Mexican uncles at a child’s birthday party on Bad Bunny night.

You forget that Bad Bunny is an idea and lifestyle, too. Locally, dance clubs like Mala Vida are molded in his neon image. In South Austin, the same operating group’s Gabrielas restaurant has a permanent Bad Bunny throne that diners can snap photos on. He’s emboldened the community with a zest for gender-neutral brightness so undeniably appealing that Mark Zuckerberg is now wearing gold chains and letting his curls flex.

Between bangers at the Moody, he told us to seek out “people who love you and support you.” The dude projects a lot, defiantly adding banter like “people tell me things every day, but I’m sure of who I am.”

More from the Statesman: In Montopolis, a constant battle to preserve Austin's historic Mexican cemeteries

Were his gradient lights hypnotic? Was the cowboy boot necklace we all got at the door, that synced to the lightshow Coldplay and Taylor Swift-style, a lovely souvenir? Were his vocals muffled and mixed to overpowering degrees so that at times you heard him echo twice as loud as the accompanying beat? Absolutely and of course.

Structurally, this Most Wanted Tour is a celebration of October’s “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va Pasar Mañana” record, a more somber and rap-centric offering relative to 2022’s relentlessly romantic party masterpiece “Un Verano Sin Ti.” The former is almost a Rick Ross album, rich with thumping beats and strings—mood music for the bosses that makes you want to put a bib on and eat crab.

And so the show began with 10 uncompromising new songs, then revved into a string of party barge standards post-horse: “Yo Perreo Sola,” “La Santa,” “Me Porto Bonito.” Illuminate your reality and proudly let the dog out—he couldn’t be any clearer.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse's "Love Earth" tour coming to Colorado this summer

By Austen Erblat

Updated on: April 23, 2024 / 3:01 PM MDT / CBS Colorado

Neil Young is making his return to the Denver area this summer after not having played in Colorado since 2016.

He and Crazy Horse are set to play Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village on July 31. The last time Young played in Colorado was in October 2016 in Telluride, where he owns a barn he rebuilt. That barn is also home to a recording studio he called "Studio in the Clouds" where he recorded his 2019 album, "Colorado."

That album marked the reunion of Young and Crazy Horse after a 7-year hiatus. The group has played together for a combined 50 years.

Neil Young preforms at Denver University's Magness Arena, promoting his new album, "Fork in the Road." Young delivered classics and songs from his new album in a two and a half hour show. Opening for Young was the Neville Brothers and Everest. Tim Rasmuss

"In the spirit it's offered...made this for the Horse lovers. I can't stop it. The horse is runnin'. What a ride we have. I don't want to mess with the vibe. I am so happy to have this to share," Young said in a statement about the tour.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show is set to start at 7:30 p.m.

Presales began Tuesday but general ticket sales don't start until 10 a.m. Friday. You can buy tickets at AXS.com .

Review: Zendaya shines like the true movie star she is in 'Challengers'

You won't be able to take your eyes off Zendaya.

Who doesn't like a swoony, sexy romantic triangle of a sports movie? We haven't had a classic one in ages, I'm thinking 1988's "Bull Durham." So step up for the tantalizing, time-tripping, curveball-throwing "Challengers," now in theaters starring the talented trio of Zendaya , Josh O'Connor and Mike Faist as tennis pros in a tangle of erotic mischief off the court and on.

In tennis, love starts with zero and rockets up from there. The same goes for "Challengers," directed by master sensualist Luca Guadagnino ("Call Me By Your Name") with a knack for finding the hilarious and hardcore in any game -- tennis and sex included.

Zendaya , a double Emmy winner for "Euphoria," glitters like gold dust as Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy sidelined by injury into giving it up as a player.

Instead, she's coaching her husband Art Donaldson, remarkably played by Faist, who scored onstage in "Dear Evan Hansen" and on screen as Riff in Steven Spielberg's "West Side Story."

PHOTO: Mike Faist appears in the trailer for the film "Challengers."

Art is on a losing streak, which prompts Tashi to set up a Challengers match with Patrick (a standout O'Connor, an Emmy winner as Prince Charles in "The Crown"), who was once Art's best friend and Tashi's lover.

Complications ensue, but not in the straight ahead way you think.

For instance, the film begins and ends with a tennis match that pits Art and Patrick against each other while Tashi watches and the camera (kudos to the stunningly kinetic artistry of cinematographer Sayombhu Mukdeeprom and editor Marco Costa) practically does somersaults to catch every point of view, including that of a tennis ball with a life all its own.

PHOTO: Josh O'Connor appears in the trailer for the film "Challengers."

Guadagnino and gifted newbie screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes, driven by a dazzling score from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, prefer mad jumble as their default mode.

The whiplash is worth it, especially for a flashback to Tashi invading a hotel room shared by the boys and sparking a puppyish threeway that ends with Art and Patrick making out and Tashi smiling wickedly.

As Tashi teasingly says, "I'm taking such good care of my little white boys."

PHOTO: Michael Faist, Zendaya and Josh O'Connor appear in this still from the film, "Challengers."

The scene is pure Guadagnino, R-rated carnality that is less graphic than bursting with teasing sexual tension done for frisky laughs and drama-fueled insights into the trio's dynamics 13 years into the present. The action carries over onto the courts where relationships are delineated through every smash and volley.

MORE: Review: New coat of paint with 'Road House' remake, still nothing under the hood

In no way does "Challengers" take the conventional route. There are things to like and loathe about all three of the manipulative main characters. And yet, Guadagnino draws us to them, letting us see how they only feel in the game when they're gaming each other.

MORE: Review: Prepare to be wowed by 'Civil War,' the best and propulsively exciting movie of the year so far

The actors nail every nuance in their roles. Faist finds glints of genuine vulnerability in Art's futile attempts to pin down the quicksilver diva that is Tashi. And O'Connor, juggling Patrick's attraction to both Tashi and Art, makes his struggle the life of the film.

PHOTO: Zendaya appears in a still from the film, "Challengers."

You won't be able to take your eyes off Zendaya. After supporting roles in epic special-effects franchises from "Spider-Man" to "Dune," Zendaya -- now 27 -- seizes her leading role and rides it to glory like the true movie star she is.

It's this director and these actors who make this routine romantic fluff feel thrillingly fresh and exuberantly young and alive, like something out the French New Wave that breezed in last century. The odds are that "Challengers" is going to leave you breathless. Game on.

Madonna is wrapping up her current concert tour over the next few days with a trilogy of shows in Mexico City. Prices have been climbing over recent days, so you'll have to be sharp if you want to buy Madonna tickets for these dates while you can for the The Celebration Tour.

Before she takes her final bow of the Celebration Tour concert series in April 2024, Madonna will have performed 52 shows across 27 cities in the US, Canada, and Mexico. While many dates earlier in the tour were available for under $100, these final dates will cost you at least $245 at the time of writing. Still, it's a few grand cheaper than the Swifties have been paying this year.

  • More events: Olivia Rodrigo tickets | Taylor Swift tickets | Adele tickets | Rolling Stones tickets

With the concert series being a retrospective celebration of her iconic career, The Celebration Tour's setlist unsurprisingly includes plenty of Madonna's timeless hits. Songs like "Like a Prayer," "Vogue," "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," and "Like a Virgin" have been performed across various dates on her tour.

We've got you covered if you're still looking for tickets to Madonna's Celebration Tour. Here's our breakdown of Madonna's remaining 2024 tour schedule, purchasing details, and original and resale ticket prices. You can also browse the available tickets for sale on StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Madonna 2024 tour schedule

All concert times are listed in local time zones.

How to buy tickets for Madonna's 2024 concert tour

Madonna tickets have been on sale for a while now, so all original ones via Ticketmaster are long gone.

However, Madonna tickets are still available through verified resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats .

How much do Madonna tickets cost?

The price for standard original tickets to Madonna's 2024 tour varies depending on date, location, and demand. For example, concert dates in major cities like New York City tend to be more expensive.

Standard original tickets still available on Ticketmaster a few weeks ago  were comparable to prices on verified resale platforms. However, the remaining original tickets have all been snapped up though, so resale vendors are your only hope now.

The Celebration Tour originally had VIP tickets available for premium prices. Madonna's 2024 concert series had The Immaculate VIP Package, Iconic VIP Package), You Can Dance Premium Ticket Package, and Where's The Party Premium Ticket Package. The prices for original tickets for each package on Ticketmaster started at $1,750, $895, $545, and $475, respectively.

Who is opening for Madonna's tour?

Madonna has not announced any additional opening acts for her 2024 concert dates. However, the artist is joined by Bob the Drag Queen, a special guest in each of her shows, who helps introduce the concert and interacts with Madonna as the emcee.

Madonna's 2024 tour began with the international leg in Europe, so the only remaining concerts in The Celebration Tour outside the United States are in Mexico.

In April, she'll have five performances in Mexico City, where she'll take her final bow of The Celebration Tour on April 26.

Rock trailblazer Heart reunites for a world tour and a new song

NEW YORK (AP) — Heart — the pioneering band that melds Nancy Wilson’s shredding guitar with her sister Ann’s powerhouse vocals — is hitting the road this spring and fall for a world tour that Nancy Wilson describes as “the full-on rocker size.”

“I’ve been strengthening. I’ve got my trainer,” she says. “You go one day at a time and you strengthen one workout session at a time. It’s a lot of work, but it’s the only job I know how to do.”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers who gave us classic tracks like “Magic Man,” “Crazy on You” and “Alone” will be playing all the hits, some tracks from of their solo albums — like Ann Wilson’s “Miss One and Only” and Nancy Wilson’s “Love Mistake” — and a new song called “Roll the Dice.”

“I like to say we have really good problems because the problem we have is to choose between a bunch of different, really cool songs that people love already,” says Nancy Wilson.

Like “Barracuda,” a sonic burst which first appeared on the band’s second album, “Little Queen” and is one of the band’s most memorable songs.

“You can’t mess with ‘Barracuda.’ It’s just the way it is. It is great. You get on the horse and you ride. It’s a galloping steed of a ride to go on. And for everybody, including the band.”

The tour kicks off Saturday at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, and will hit cities including Atlanta, Boston, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Detroit, as well as the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. International dates include stops in London, Oslo, Berlin, Stockholm, Montreal and Glasgow.

The band’s Royal Flush Tour will have Cheap Trick as the opening act for many stops, but Def Leppard and Journey will join for three stadium dates in Cleveland, Toronto and Boston this summer.

Ann and Nancy Wilson will be filled out by Ryan Wariner (lead and rhythm guitar), Ryan Waters (guitars), Paul Moak (guitars, keyboards and backing vocals), Tony Lucido (bass and backing vocals) and Sean T. Lane (drums).

The tour is the first in several years for Heart, which was rocked by a body blow in 2016 when Ann Wilson’s husband was arrested for assaulting Nancy’s 16-year-old twin sons. Nancy Wilson says that’s all in the past.

“We can take any kind of turbulence, me and Ann, and we’ve always been OK together,” she says. “We’re still steering the ship and happy to do it together. So we’re tight.”

The new tour will take them to Canada, which was warm to the band when they were starting out as what Nancy Wilson calls “a couple of chicks from Seattle.” She recalls Vancouver embracing Heart, and touring in one van across Canada in the dead of winter on two lane highways.

The Wilson sisters broke rock’s glass ceiling in the ‘70s and Nancy Wilson says they only had male influences to look to, like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Moody Blues.

Now she says she looks out and loves seeing generations of female rockers. “You have boygenius and you have Billie Eilish and you have Olivia Rodrigo and so many amazing women — Maggie Rogers and Sheryl Crow, who calls us her big influence. And then Billie Eilish might have Sheryl Crow as her influence. So it’s a really nice legacy to pass along. I like to say we’re the OG — the original gangsters — of women and rock.”

Heart has made it into the Rock Hall, won Grammys, sold millions of albums and rocked hundreds of thousands of fans but Nancy Wilson has one place she’d still like to shine.

Next year will mark the 50th anniversary of their debut album, “Dreamboat Annie,” which was the same year that “Saturday Night Live” started. “So we’re actually kind of putting it out there — Heart never played on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ But what about the 50th birthday party with Heart?”

All the proof Taylor Swift is making first major change to Eras Tour

Welcome to "The Tortured Poets Department" (Eras Tour Version).

nubia tours reviews

It looks like Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour is getting a brand new era, straight from the Tortured Poets Department .

Since the announcement of her new 11th studio album ( which dropped April 19 ), fans have been anxiously waiting to see if her worldwide, career-spanning tour would get a shakeup to accommodate the new music. While Swift is remaining mum, and a rep for the singer didn't respond to an EW request for comment, a new YouTube Short posted to Swift's account seems to provide all the clarity Swifties needed that a change is imminent.

In the video, which is part of Swift's #ForAFortnightChallenge tied to the album's first single, "Fortnight," the 14-time Grammy winner can be seen rehearsing for tour with her backup dancers. While some shots are obviously from the Folklore , Lover , and other existing "eras" of the show, several blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments have never been seen before.

In one, Swift, clad in workout gear, appears to be wearing the same boots seen in her "Fortnight" video . She's holding on to a banister that looks like it has the Tortured Poets Department emblem on it — the "P" and the "D" can just be made out.

taylor swift/youtube

Although the video is in grayscale, and therefore exact colors are impossible to identify for sure, several shots feature what looks like a new white-ish mic, which has never been seen before. The new era's color, of course, is also an off-white hue.

Perhaps the most interesting moment of the new clip, though, is one that features what looks like new choreography and costumes. Swift's backup dancers can be seen in top hats and dancing with canes, while she sings in the front middle of the group — choreography and props which have so far not been featured in the concert.

This is all speculative until the tour resumes in Paris, France, on May 9, of course, but if Swift is adding a whole new era, it would mark the first major change to the setlist since Swift began performing it last March.

Throughout the tour, she's made little swaps here or there: She added performances with some of the artists who opened for her like HAIM or Phoebe Bridgers, and she added "Long Live" to the Speak Now section when that re-recorded album released during tour. She also swapped out "Invisible String" for the "The 1" in the Folklore section after news of her split with Joe Alwyn broke.

But, nothing has majorly been added or subtracted from the show, which is already a whopping three-and-a-half hours long. Now, if anyone could pull off adding more runtime to Eras, it's the "Mastermind" herself, but it's more likely that some songs will be getting cut to make room for new material. Fans have theorized that the tracks that didn't make it into the VOD rental of the Eras Tour concert film — "The Archer," "Wildest Dreams," "Cardigan," and "Long Live" — could be first on the chopping block, but we'll just have to wait and see what Ms. Swift has up her cryptic and Machiavellian sleeve.
