PGA Tour announces schedule, purse jump and location changes for 2023

  • Follow on Instagram

The PGA Tour is ready to start talking about 2023, finalizing its full schedule of 47 events for the 2022-23 season and announcing changes to the FedEx Cup and massive purse increases to go along with them.

The changes really begin in Hawaii, the unofficial start to the season, when the purse of the Sentry Tournament of Champions rises to $15 million. Not impressed? That’s $15 million spread out over a limited field of, historically, 32-34 players. That mega-millions payout structure continues during the West Coast swing. The Tour will dish out $101.5 million in prize money during a stretch of six weeks that begins with the Genesis Invitational in mid-February and runs through the WGC-Match Play in late March. It’ll include a whopping prize of $25 million at the Players Championship.

How? The Tour reallocated funds in order to elevate specific events like the Genesis Invitational, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the WGCs. In other words, Scottie Scheffler ‘s pockets would be even deeper under the new structure.

Other notable schedule moves were outlined neatly by my colleague Dylan Dethier on Twitter:

Other scheduling notes: -No WGC-China, so Bermuda has full points and a Masters spot -CJ Cup is now at Congaree, named THE CJ CUP in South Carolina -Farmers finishes on Saturday again -Rocket Mortgage goes from late July to late June -Cosanctioned Genesis Scottish Open is back — Dylan Dethier (@dylan_dethier) August 1, 2022

The tournament directors and TV broadcasters both saw value in the Saturday night finish for the January event. For years, the Farmers’ final round competed for attention with the NFL’s championship weekend, and finally the event bowed out of that fight last year. That means we’ve got Wednesday to Saturday golf at Torrey Pines again in 2023.

We will also see Congaree host an event next season. The South Carolina course hosted the Palmetto Championship in 2021 after the RBC Canadian Open was canceled due to the pandemic. Congaree will host the 2022 CJ Cup in mid-October, just a few weeks into the new season.

One week after that, the Butterfield Bermuda Championship will see its winner take home Tour-status, $1.17 million, and an invite to Augusta National. The Tour’s decision to ditch the WGC-HSBC Champions, which will not be contested next season, means the BBC is leveling up. Its winner will earn an invite to play in the 2023 Masters.

Lastly, the 2023 FedEx Cup is set for an overhaul. The Tour playoffs will follow the same three-tournament structure as this season, with the FedEx St. Jude Championship preceding the BMW Championship, which precedes the Tour Championship. However, the fields will look very different. Only 70 players will qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, a far cry from the 125 that will take part this year. And from those 70, 50 will advance to the BMW Championship, and then 30 to the Tour Championship. The 50 who make it to Olympia Fields for the BMW are expected to be featured in a high-money series of international events in the fall of 2023.

More details on those events will be shared at a later time, but this will notably be the final Tour season (barring any unforeseen changes) with a wraparound schedule beginning in September. Instead, the 2023-24 schedule will officially begin in January and run through August. So enjoy your final wraparound schedule, folks! It may be gone for good.

PGA Tour Schedule 2023: Events, dates and prize money

PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan announced huge changes to the 2023 schedule before last week's Tour Championship in reaction to the emergence of LIV Golf.

pga tour events schedule 2023

The PGA Tour schedule for 2023 was fairly straightforward before commissioner Jay Monahan announced a series of bombshells ahead of last week's Tour Championship.

The dates of each event remained the same, but now, the top 20 players from the Player Impact Program will be required to play in 20 events next year.

Securing the future of the Tour's best players was the main aim of these new innovations which were discussed by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy and a number of other players two weeks ago in a special meeting.

This will include 12 Elevated Events, four major championships, The Players Championship and three other tournaments of the players' choice. Four Elevated Events are still yet to be decided.

The Sentry Tournament of Champions, the Genesis Invitational, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Memorial Tournament, the WGC Match Play and the three FedExCup Playoffs events constitute the first eight confirmed Elevated Events.

PGA Tour Schedule 2023: Events, dates and prize money

The four new Elevated Events will have prize purses of $20 million. The Tour Championship and FedEx Cup bonus pool in 2023 will be $75 million.

70 players will start the first FedEx Cup Playoff event at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. 50 will make it to the BMW Championship and as usual, 30 will play in the finale.

The PIP has also been expanded to a $100 million prize pool for the top 20 players who excel in Internet Searches, General Awareness, Golf Fan Awareness, Media Mentions and Broadcast Exposure.

These changes to the schedule which begin next month have been brought forward in a rapid fashion due to the development of the LIV Golf Tour .

In 2023, there will be 44 events and here is the full PGA Tour 2023 schedule below:

FedEx Cup Playoffs:

- August 7-13: FedEx St. Jude Championship, TPC Southwind, Tennessee

- August 14-20: BMW Championship, Olympia Fields Country Club, Illinois

- August 21-27: Tour Championship, East Lake Golf Club, Georgia

PGA Tour releases 2022-23 schedule, including major changes to the FedEx Cup

PGA-Tour-Logo.jpg

Icon Sportswire

The PGA Tour released its full 47-event schedule for the 2022-23 season, the last wraparound campaign before the tour switches back to a calendar-year-based schedule beginning in 2024.

Notable changes include the BMW Championship moving from Wilmington Country Club in Delaware back to the Chicago area, with Olympia Fields playing host to the second of three FedEx Cup playoff events after staging a fan-less BMW in 2020. Just 70 players will qualify for the first playoff event next season, the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, down from the 125 that have made it to the postseason since the FedEx Cup began in 2007 . These 70 will be fully exempt for the following season, while players outside the top 70 will compete for FedEx Cup points and additional status in a series of fall events.

Fifty players will advance from the FedEx St. Jude to the BMW, with the top 30 qualifying for the season-ending Tour Championship, which wraps on Aug. 27.

The top-50 finishers in the FedEx Cup playoffs—so, those who qualify for the BMW Championship—will be eligible to compete in a series of international events. Details of this international series are expected to be released later this year, but the tour’s release says the limited-field, no-cut events also will be open to the top performers in the fall series.

MORE: The PGA Tour's new plan for keeping its stars

Both of the first two FedEx Cup playoff events will see their purse increase from $15 million to $20 million, part of widespread increases in prize money payouts for events throughout the upcoming season. The Sentry Tournament of Champions will have a purse of $15 million, up from $8.2 million, and the three player-hosted invitationals—the Genesis Invitational, the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard and the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday—as well as the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play will offer $20 million in prize money, all up from $12 million. The FedEx Cup will once again feature a $75 million prize pool, while the Comcast Business top 10 will pay $20 million to the top 10 finishers in the FedEx Cup regular-season standings. The Player Impact Program will include $50 million in total bonuses.

The match play is the only World Golf Championship event on the schedule after the cancellation of the WGC-HSBC Champions event in China.

MORE: The latest FedEx Cup points standings heading into the 2021-22 regular-season finale

The season once again begins at the Fortinet Championship (Sept. 15-18) in Napa, which will take place the week before the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow in Charlotte. The CJ Cup, which was held in South Korea from 2017-19 before moving to Las Vegas for 2020 and 2021, moves to Congaree Golf Club in South Carolina. The RSM Classic (Nov. 17-20) will be the last PGA Tour event of 2022, with the season picking up again at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii after New Year's. After two events in Hawaii the tour heads to the west coast for The American Express and the Farmers Insurance Open, which will finish on a Saturday for the second-consecutive year. The following week will see Phoenix play host to both the WM Phoenix Open and the Super Bowl.

The rest of the schedule looks almost identical to that of 2021-22, with notable exceptions including the Rocket Mortgage Classic moving to late June and the 3M Open sliding one week later and serving as the penultimate event of the FedEx Cup regular season.

Tentative pga tour fall schedule for 2023 shows seven events.

  • Rex Hoggard ,
  • Rex Hoggard

As the PGA Tour transitions to a calendar-year schedule and the circuit sorts out a dramatically reimagined lineup that includes “designated” events and a focus on the game’s stars, the fate of the fall events remains uncertain.

A tentative fall schedule for 2023 obtained by GolfChannel.com suggests a streamlined lineup with seven events, down from nine events last fall. Gone from the tentative schedule are the CJ Cup, which has been played in the U.S. the last three years, and the Houston Open, a Tour staple since 1946. It remains to be seen if those events will shift to the FedExCup portion of the schedule or if they will be removed from the Tour lineup entirely.

The Fortinet Championship would kick off the fall (Sept. 14-17), two weeks after the Tour Championship, followed by another two-week break that includes the Ryder Cup in Rome.

The Sanderson Farms Championship would be played Oct. 5-8, followed by the Shriners Children’s Open (Oct. 12-15) and the Zozo Championship (Oct. 19-22) in Japan.

The World Wide Technology Championship is scheduled for Nov. 2-5, although it’s unclear where the event would be played with El Camaleon Golf Club hosting the year’s first LIV Golf event in February. It’s unlikely the Tour would want to share a venue with the rival league and, according to multiple sources, the circuit is seeking a new venue in Mexico. The fall portion would conclude with the Bermuda Championship (Nov. 9-12) and The RSM Classic (Nov. 16-19).

The tentative schedule also includes an interesting makeover during the “challenge” season with the former QBE Shootout becoming a mixed-team event that features Tour players alongside LPGA players.

Ekadashi calendar for Elektrostal

  • Ekadashi calendar
  • Tithi calendar
  • City information

Welcome! First of all, we note that Ekadashi, like any form of fasting, is stressful for the body, and therefore requires prior consultation with a specialist. Especially if you have chronic diseases, disorders of the hormonal, digestive or cardiovascular systems.

"Ekadashi" means "eleven" in Sanskrit, and the days of Ekadashi are the 11th lunar day in the Hindu lunar calendar after each full moon and new moon (or the 11th and 26th lunar days after the new moon).

Why does the Vedic tradition recommend abstaining from food and devoting time to spiritual practices on Ekadashi days? It is believed that during this period a person is most susceptible to the influence of his feelings and desires to enjoy and exploit his environment for selfish purposes.

If you are not able to completely give up food and water on the post Ekadashi, try to give up only legumes and cereals, preferably only one meal and in the afternoon.

Ekadashi lunar calendar for july 2024 — july 2025 year for Elektrostal

How to correctly calculate the time of Ekadashi? There are several traditions for determining lunar days. The Vedic lunar calendar we use here defines a lunar day (tithi) as 1/30 of the period between new moons. Despite the fact that the phases of the moon are the same for any point on the planet, there is no universal date that determines the beginning and end of the Ekadashi fast. The reason for this is the use of sunrise and sunset times in the calculation, which varies by region, which is why it's important to include your exact location.

Ekadashi fasting should begin on the eleventh and twenty-sixth lunar day, which began at least 96 minutes before sunrise (this period is called brahma-muhurta or two muhurtas of 48 minutes each). In the case when the lunar day began during or after Brahma Muhurta, then it is recommended to transfer the Ekadashi fast to the next day - 12 or 27 (dvadasi).

It is obligatory to leave the Ekadashi fast the next day, within two to three hours after sunrise. Don't jump on the food right away, start with a small amount of soft grains like oatmeal. By the middle of the day, when the digestive system is fully turned on, you can return to your usual diet. You can find out the end time of the Ekadashi fast, along with other important data, in the table below.

Vedic tithi calendar

Tithi (thithi) is a unit of time equal to one lunar day in the Hindu calendar. Such a lunar day is equal to the period required to increase the longitudinal angle between the Sun and the Moon by 12°. An increase in this angle from 0° to 360° corresponds to one Vedic lunar month. That is, one tithi is approximately equal to 1/30 of the interval between two new moons. This value is used to calculate the Ekadashi time.

SHERWOOD PARK, Alberta – Sandy Scott, Tommy Cocha and Frederik Kjettrup enter the final round of the 2024 ATB Classic tied for the lead at 13-under.

  • Kjettrup turned in a 5-under Saturday, the best third-round score of the three leaders. Cocha followed suit with a 4-under day, and Scott maintained a share of the lead after carding a round of 3-under. This is the second consecutive week that Kjettrup holds a share of the lead heading into the final round.
  • Kjettrup, a native of Denmark, spent four seasons at Florida State University and earned PGA TOUR Americas membership after finishing No. 8 in the 2024 PGA TOUR University Ranking. During his collegiate career, Kjettrup was a three-time individual champion (2022 All-American Intercollegiate, 2023 Watersound Invitational, 2024 ACC Championship) and was named a three-time All-American. Kjettrup claimed his first win as a professional last week at The Beachlands Victoria Open presented by Times Colonist.

A four-time winner on PGA TOUR Latinoámerica, Cocha holds a share of the lead heading into the final round for the first time this season. After falling outside of the top 60 after the Latin America Swing, Cocha was unable to secure exempt status for the remainder of the season. Cocha earned a spot in the field via Monday Qualifier, and would earn exempt status for the remainder of 2024 with a win.

  • Scott began his professional career in 2022 after starring at Texas Tech from 2016-2021. Scott won twice during his career in Lubbock, winning the 2019 El Macero Classic and the 2019 Carmel Cup. After his fifth season in 2020-21 was cut short due to a wrist injury, Scott earned status on PGA TOUR Latinoámerica for the 2023 season. Scott made 12 starts in his first season in Latin America and made eight cuts with three top-10 finishes.
  • Scott will play out of the second-to-last group on Sunday at 12:50 p.m., while Kjettrup and Cocha make up the final group and will tee off at 1:00 p.m.
