Pullman is a nice hotel , the rooms are nice , loby is nice . Staff is friendly and kind . Many thanks to Felicia in the lobby Bar , that she did the best to serve us , in very difficult conditions , as she was only 1 waiter to serve 40 people , she was bringing the food from the kitchen , serving us, she was the cashier and she was cleaning also the tables …. She was great ! But she was the only one, the hotel should have staffed more this hotel ! Also on Sunday the loby bar opens at 11.00 AM, this is not acceptable for such kind of hotel , I got a coffe and I paid for the coffe form the breakfast auto coffee machine , I drink without sugar , the coffe had sugar , but in any case these issue relate to an understaffed hotel that is supposed to be 4 star ! The management should do better !

I had a very profound connection with my pillow. Honestly, I can say I would love to buy one of these so I asked the receptionist to give me the informations to buy one. 10 of 10 for pillows. The lady, misses Aura, who made my room is a complete sweetheart. Very polite, very pro active and made my room every day exceptionally well done. Thank you for this lovely experience.

Horrible smell in the lobby for years

Pullman is our preferred hotel for over 15 years due to contract signed with our company. Everything is ok, except that horrible smell in the lobby which is persisting for years already… I believe someone thinks it is suing and attractive to put such strong musk scent, but actually people can barely breath coming from the outside or from the elevator to the lobby. Please kindly consider to remove this smell completely or at least replace it with something else. Thank you and KR.

Localizare fata de Romexpo, personalul amabil, curatenie

Personalul extrem de dragut, nu am mai vazut asa ceva.

Totul a fost foarte bine. Curatenie, caldura in camera, mic dejun foarte bun. Personalul de la receptie a fost foarte amabil, in special Vlad.

Era foarte curat și personalul a fost extrem de amabil și atent.

Curat, frumos, aproape de toate obiectivele de care am avut nevoie.

Am fost foarte multumita de atitudinea băiatului Călin de la Recepția Hotelului care ne-a oferit cu multa amabilitate toate informațiile necesare pe toată perioada șederii în Hotel. Nota 10 pentru Manager -clienți și pt. recepția hotelului !

Hotelulu este curat. Personal minunat. Micul dejun foarte gustos.

Locatie foarte ok, in apriere de parcul Herastrau, dar probabil mult mai placurta vara. Curat. Dejunul a fost foarte variat.

Un hotel primitor, cald, personal amabil si de ajutor, parcare pentru oaspeti. Nota 10.

Un hotel de 4 stele care are săli cu denumiri de orașe ce te duc cu gândul la vacante în Seul Paris Montreal New York Cairo Mexico city Amsterdam etc loc ideal pentru promovare carte si congrese.. Un hol cu pian, pom de iarna, camera cu baie mare, draperii bej și maro superbe, pat mare , TV cu programe bune, săli mese multe, frumoase cu meniuri rafinate, somon, vanat.

Before You Travel

It is important to note that all visits to the clinic are by appointment only. Travelers should contact the clinic at least 6-8 weeks before departure as some immunizations require a series of injections. It takes time for antibodies to rise to the most optimum level for immunity.

We also have two tropical medicine trained physicians who can consult with and assist you if you pick up an illness while visiting another country.

Referral from your physician is not necessary to receive a consultation. Travel Clinic consultations cost $50 per patient. We will gladly send immunization costs to insurance; however, other costs must be covered by the patient. Many insurance plans will pay for routine vaccinations.

Even if you are not traveling, it may be necessary to receive vaccinations for work or other reasons. These vaccines include rabies pre-exposure, Tuberculosis tests, or simply staying up to date with immunizations. 

Anyone who experiences a fever and illness post-travel should let their physician know or contact the hospital for further instructions. Patients seeking care at their physician’s office or at the hospital should let their physician know that they have been out of the country.

Results generally take 24-48 hours, though some tests take as long as 72 hours. 

If you got tested at the Travel Clinic: Results are sent to patients via an encrypted email. Patients can also stop by the Emergency Department to pick up test results. 

If you got tested at your primary care provider's office:  Contact your primary care provider to receive results. Results of tests conducted at other facilities are not accessible by the Travel Clinic or other hospital departments. 

Through the Travel Clinic: The Travel Clinic can provide pre-travel testing only. The cost of a test is $250 paid at time of test. No insurance is required. Results are available 24-48 hours after testing. All results are communicated through an encrypted email.

Engineers: Downtown Pullman work progressing

Apr. 24—Welch Comer Engineers were happy to report Project Downtown Pullman is moving steadily along.

The engineering firm out of Coeur d'Alene provided an update on the project during the Pullman City Council's regular meeting Tuesday night. Work on Main Street started at the beginning of April, demolishing and moving fixtures to make way for new utility installations in the coming weeks.

Project Downtown is a city-led effort to rebuild Pullman's streets, public spaces and infrastructure on Main from Grand Avenue to Spring Street. Apollo Inc., a contracting company out of Kennewick, Wash., will work until October this year to fully upgrade utilities, repave sidewalks and re-envision downtown's layout.

The project was funded by $9.5 million by the American Rescue Plan Act. About $6.9 is available for construction after the creation of the project's design. The approved contract costs nearly $11.7 million, and Apollo plans to spend $8.7 million.

The city plans to make up additional costs with a project budget, including funding from tax funds like the city's water and sewer utilities fund, along with other funding options. Taking from these reserve won't negatively affect the city's operations or delay any future projects.

Matt Gillis, vice president of Welch Comer Engineers, said a lot is happening every day downtown. On the first day of construction, parallel parking on Olsen Street was changed to angle parking, creating more spots in the area.

Apollo has been demolishing asphalt on Main Street, he said, and the removal of curbs and brick pavers is next. He added utility installation will begin in the coming weeks. The construction company has already removed all the trees that lined Main Street.

While Apollo constructs new utilities, Gillis said a sewer bypass pumping system will be used to maintain sewer service to surrounding businesses and properties.

Crews ran into challenges in the first weeks of construction, he said. The construction company installed temporary signals on Paradise Street and Grand, but a food truck hit and damaged both signals. Apollo was able to stabilize the signals to provide traffic control at the detour path, he added.

Crews have already begun to find surprises underneath Main Street. Gillis said the construction company has found utilities not where they were expected to be and mystery pipes. He added an existing stormwater catch basin was unearthed, which had a gas line going through the middle of it. This is unusual, he said, and Apollo expects to find more abnormalities as work continues.

Welch Comer Engineers also took a moment to thank community partners like CougsFirst, the Downtown Pullman Association, Washington State University, the Pullman Chamber of Commerce and the WSU Brelsford Center.

Courtney Kramer, public involvement specialist at Welch Comer, said these organizations have played an instrumental role in sharing updates with the community.

During the meeting, Pullman Civic Trust members like President Bobbie Ryder and Vice President Lisa Carloye asked councilors and Welch Comer Engineers to consider extending pavers on Pine Street Plaza to the road in the design.

Gillis expanded on this, and added cost and timeline increases to the suggestion. He said extending pavers to the bike lane would cost an additional $41,000 to $76,000 along with a one- to three-week increase. Extending pavers to the curb would be anywhere from $74,000 to $140,000 and a two- to four-week increase.

Gillis said he can't recommend extending pavers as it impacts the project's cost and timeline estimate. He added it may put the project at risk.

Councilors Megan Guido, Nathan Weller and Pat Wright commended Welch Comer Engineers and Apollo for their hard work. They also thanked them for providing an update on the project.
