Golden Triangle

GreT tour of a very small part of India! The tour and guide were great and we saw a lot. As a solo female traveler, I wanted to see the sights there, but was nervous. This is the only way I’d go there and it was perfect and I felt safe with the group.

North India Revealed Tour

North India Revealed

North India Revealed, was an amazing tour. Our guide Sanjeev was really good. Free time is a bonus and though sometimes felt obligated to do what the rest of the group is doing, you can still go off and explore on your own. Watch out for beggars, of all ages including children. They don't take no for an answer. In India they expect tips, I wasn't aware of this but its on 10 Rupiahs which equates to about 2c Australian. Overall a really good trip.

Classic Rajasthan Tour

Rajasthan and Varanasi: Bike Tours & the Taj Mahal Tour

Rajasthan and Varanasi: Bike Tours & the Taj Mahal

While it did feel rushed at times, having our guide Vik around made the often hectic situations feel manageable. With his help we were able to see an incredible amount of India given our short stay! Vik worked really hard to bond our group together and I left with 9 new friends. My one complaint was the pricing— while it’s fine to pay for my own meals, I felt that transportation and restaurant choices were needlessly expensive, not reflecting the “shoestring budget” I had wanted.

India\'s Bestseller - 5 Day Golden Triangle - Delhi, Agra & Jaipur (Guaranteed Departure) Tour

India's Bestseller - 5 Day Golden Triangle - Delhi, Agra & Jaipur (Guaranteed Departure)

Pros: - Competitive pricing of the tour, especially considering that it is a private tour - The hotels were all decent for the price, and I really enjoyed the breakfast buffets - I liked the structure of the tour, with all the key highlights of the Golden Triangle - The guide in Agra was good - The guide in Jaipur Himmat Singh was great, he gave me a lot of information and background knowledge on the visited sites, and was very friendly. He also helped me to find a good place to purchase perfume and really adapted the tour to my wishes - The driver Subhash was very kind and caring Cons: - The Delhi tour guide Pradhyuman Singh was not honest and made me feel uncomfortable. He made me pay the bicycle tour 500 rupees (should probably have been 5-10 times less). I knew it wasn't right and protested, but he kept repeating 500 and I didn't have a choice because I couldn't go anywhere else otherwise. Only after I paid he said that it was including a "tip" and that it was "as I wished" but on the moment I had no choice. I complained and clearly said I will not pay anything anymore if I'm not warned before. During the entire tour he kept repeating that he collects currencies from counties and absolutely wanted to "see" Swiss francs, implyingt that he wanted me to give him a Swiss banknote. Although I initially wanted to give a tip of 500 rupees, I told him he could have a CHF 10 note instead as a tip, which is approximately 1000 rupees, because he wouldn't stop talking about it. He then seemed unhappy and said that I have to tip 2000 rupees per guide. I said that it was way too much, but he kept insisting that it was always that amount, that everyone paid this amount, and that otherwise he barely gets any money to live. I tried to argue but eventually felt obliged to give the money - Irresponsive tour operator on the forced tipping issue: I contacted both the tour operator as well as Tourradar to ask for help on the problem encountered with the Delhi tour guide directly on the first evening. The tour operator never answered my message - In some places (Delhi mainly) I felt like I was always pushed to buy things, donate money, tip, overpay etc.

Luxury 3 Day Golden Triangle With 5 star Hotel Tour

Luxury 3 Day Golden Triangle With 5 star Hotel

We just completed a GREAT three-day Golden Triangle tour of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. First, I have to say our driver, Khan, must have gotten his amazing driving skills in another world! He navigated the most difficult roads and situations with ease, making sure we were comfortable and safe the whole time. When visiting a new place, this is so important! He also pointed out a lot of sites and gave us additional points on Indian cultural, all is great English. The daily tour guides did an excellent job too. Each one had an incredible amount of historical, cultural, and societal knowledge and was happy to share with us. It’s was a fast trip, but we saw and learned a lot. I highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in seeing a slice on Indian life and learning about Indian culture.

Colorful India with Taj Mahal & Rajasthan Tour

Colorful India with Taj Mahal & Rajasthan

I enjoyed the whole trip. I particularly enjoyed Bikaner, Jaiselmar, and Udiapur, our driver Kan Singh was an amazing skilled driver, I can tend to car sickness and I was worried this might be an issue but he was so steady and safe I had no issues. The hotels were mainly good although the first one there Rocklands was really noisy and no hot water. The camel ride was good but the desert adventure camp had very loud Bollywood music into the night. In summary I would recommend this to but particularly our driver Kan Singh

Golden Triangle Tour With Ranthambore Tour

Golden Triangle Tour With Ranthambore

The tour went vey well, most guides were able to give us information and answer any questions we had. The driver (Ramesh) was very good at keeping us updated on what was happening. He allowed us some flexibility which was very much appreciated. The first pickup at Delhi was slow, as we did not realize that driver would we outside the terminal, and we waited inside until I spoke with Deepak, we then alerted the second group. The accommodation was OK. As it is winter, if the bus had heating it would have been even better. Carl

About Rajasthan Tour Packages

Rajasthan: an overview, things to do in rajasthan.

Browse the villages from antiquity, spot big cats in the wild, meditate in the serene ambiance of its lakes, the list of things to do in Rajasthan is unending.

Places to visit in Rajasthan

Here we list the places to visit in Rajasthan some of which are big-ticket attractions.

Best time to visit Rajasthan

Ahead of planning your holiday, it makes sense to look up the best time to visit Rajasthan , so that you know which is the most favourable time to travel. Summer time in Rajasthan could be arid, and may not be the best time to visit, while winters are an ideal time for visit with warm sunshine filling the days enabling sightseeing and desert safaris in Jaisalmer. The weather of Rajasthan can be divided into three predominant seasons:

Rajasthan in winter (November to March)

This is invariably the best time to visit the desert state. The day temperature stays rather mild, rising to up to 30 degree Celsius for most parts. The nights are, however, quite chilly with the temperature dropping to a 5 degree Celsius or lesser. The days offer perfect atmospherics to explore around, visit the forts, museums, galleries and the old town markets. Winter is also the time for some of Rajasthan’s colourful festivals, happening across various cities. Some of the significant ones being the Jaipur Literature Festival, Camel Fair, Udaipur World Music Festival and Pushkar Fair to name a few that happen in this season.

Rajasthan in monsoon (July to September)

Rajasthan receives rainfall owing to the western disturbances and the south-west monsoon. Rajasthan has an interesting topography with the Aravalli range running across the desert state from Guru Shikhar in the southwest to Khetri in the northeast, dissecting the state in a 60 by 40 ratio, with 60% of Rajasthan lying to the northwest of the range and 40% of it falling to the southeast. It lies parallel to the southwest monsoon winds that come rolling in, the mountain range failing to intercept them, leading to a dry and sandy northwest region. The eastern and southeastern parts of Rajasthan being more fertile on the contrary. You can plan a trip to Rajasthan in the monsoon months keeping the mentioned facts in mind. Depending on which part of Rajasthan you are headed to, you might even experience lush greenery, a mizzle of rain, and peacocks dancing about. Several cultural events are also planned around this time of the year, such as the Teej festival celebrated in the rainy months.

Rajasthan in summer (April to June)

Rajasthan summers are hot and stark, with day temperature soaring to a 48 degree Celsius. Blistering heat makes travelling around in this season a challenge, though evenings are considerably cooler, yet you cannot venture anywhere in the daytime. Jaisalmer skirting the Thar Desert experiences an extremely harsh weather, making it a definite off-season. However, if you have a summer trip in mind, you could make an itinerary revolving places like Mount Abu, Rajasthan’s only hill station, see the Dilwara temples of Ranakpur, travel to Kumbalgarh, explore its iconic fort, the lake city of Udaipur among a few other places, though the Lake Pichola dries up in the summer. Come well equipped with sunscreen lotions, sunglasses, hats, full-sleeve cotton clothes for a summer trip to the desert state.

You can visit the various forts of Rajasthan whether it is City Palace, Kumbalgarh Fort, Mehrangarh Fort, Junagarh Fort, Chittorgarh Palace or Umaid Bhawan. Q. What is Rajasthan’s most popular city and what is the best time to visit it? A. Ahead of closing one of the Rajasthan packages, decide on which cities you would like to visit and what is a good time to visit them. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and by far is its most popular city and in a way the gateway to Rajasthan. Also called Pink City owing to the pink sandstone structures dotting the city, winter is invariably the best time to visit Jaipur. Panning between November and February, Jaipur winters are cold in the nights and pleasant during the day with the average temperature hovering between 8 and 26 degree Celsius. Do carry your woollens even for your day visits as a nippy air blows through the city at all times. There is fog in the early hours but as the sun comes down, it dissipates making the weather ideal for sightseeing and monument-hopping. You can explore on foot or hire an auto- rickshaw to visit the local bazaars or eat out on the street-side. There is no better time to go riding on an elephant back to the iconic Amber Fort, also cycling around Nahargarh Fort is a great idea in this season as is browsing the medieval markets and labyrinthine alleyways. This is the season that brings book lovers in great numbers to the city’s landmark event, the Jaipur Literature Festival held in January each year. Q. Which is the best place to go on a desert safari in Rajasthan? A. Go through Rajasthan tour packages, make sure it includes a ride on a camel-back in the sand dunes of Jaisalmer, Bikaner or Pushkar. Jodhpur is also a great place for a camel-back safari where you can take a ride around a traditional farm, look up the spice trees and learn the traditional ways of cooking. You can even ride to one of Jodhpur’s Bishnoi villages, meet this tree-worshipping tribe and also sight an array of wildlife including blackbucks on a desert safari. Camel safari in Bikaner is also quite common with some of the best desert camps located there. Stay in a well-furnished tent, ride the camel to the dunes of the Thar Desert, stop at the Karnu Village stuck in time, return to your camp for a hearty meal made in an open fire. Sunrise camel safaris are quite popular in Jaisalmer. Take over the dunes of the Thar Desert on a camel-back at the break of dawn and experience the most glorious sunrise. Return to your camp for a hearty breakfast. Head to Pushkar for an overnight camel safari. Attend Pushkar’s camel fair, one of the state’s most colourful events. Stay at a camp amid the undulating sands and watch a traditional puppet show under an open sky studded with stars. Q. Which city in Rajasthan has the most forts and palaces? A. Before zeroing in on one of the Rajasthan holiday packages you need to first settle for an itinerary that incorporates the best of its forts and palaces. Begin by travelling to Jaipur and explore the Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Nahargarh Fort and City Palace. Udaipur too has its share of antiquated havelis and palaces. See the Sajjangarh Fort or Monsoon Palace, City Palace on Lake Pichola, Jag Mandir to name a few. In Jodhpur don’t miss Umaid Bhawan Palace and Mehrangarh Fort, two iconic structures that define the city’s skyline. Visit Bundi for the Bundi Fort considered insurmountable and Chittor for the Chittorgarh Palace and discover the legend of Queen Padmini and why she performed Jauhar. Don’t miss a trip to Jaisalmer to explore the yellow-sandstone Jaisalmer Fort, also called Golden Fort that inspired Satyajit Ray’s iconic film, Sonar Kella. Mandawa also has some beautiful age-old havelis and can be on your itinerary on your Rajasthan holiday. Q. What all is included in the cheapest Rajasthan family package? A. In Bikaner, expect to see Junagarh Fort, the famous Karni Mata temple and a camel breeding farm. Q. What is Chokhi Dhani famous for? A. Chokhi Dhani is a themed resort modelled on a traditional Rajasthani village exhibiting the marked hospitality keeping intact the ethnic and cultural sensibilities of the state. A popular tourist spot, the place is packed with families looking to live the Rajasthani experience. Q. How far is Hawa Mahal from Nahargarh Fort? A. Some of the most special things you buy from here include: 1) Authentic gemstones and jewellery from Jaipur:  Your Rajasthan Package must include a visit to the famous Johari Bazaar in Jaipur, known to be a paradise for jewellery lovers. In this bazaar, you will not only find gold and silver jewellery but will also feel ecstatic finding hand-cut precious and semi-precious stones and gems such as Ruby, Garnets, Emerald, Amethyst, Topaz, etc. Try out some local variants such as kundans, carved trinkets or Meena work in necklaces, headgears, cuffs, anklets etc. 2) Special Lehariya sarees:  Saree lovers will surely like to add a Rajasthani Leheriya saree to their collection. The design pattern on these sarees has been inspired by the vast stretch of the desert landscape of Rajasthan. You can get the Lehariya saree in two patterns - either as Mothra showcasing a crisscross look or as  Samudra leheriya resembling broad stripes. Choose from different fabric options such as Pure Silk, Cotton, Chiffon, Georgette etc. 3) Colourful Bandhani dupattas:  Another item popular with the ladies of Rajasthan is a Bandhani dupatta. Bandhani, also known as tie and dye textile, is a type of work where designs are made of pieces of cloth by plucking cloth with fingernails to create tiny bindings that form a figurative design and then dipping them in the dye. The colourful dupattas of Rajasthan are sure to make you crave to purchase a few for yourself and a few as souvenirs for others. 4) Meenakari work items:  Jaipur is the main hub of Meenakari work and you must look out for items with this work during your Rajasthan Tour. Meenakari work is an art of painting or embellishing various types of metals with vibrant colours and motifs of flowers, birds and leaves. It is made of coloured glass powders and can appear opaque, transparent or translucent. You can come across endless items with meenakari work such as jewellery, bells, key chains, trays, boxes etc. 5) Embroidered bed sheets:  You must take back with you some embroidered bedsheets from Jaipur. These Bedsheets are those which are artistically hand-woven in vibrant colour and stylish designs. Upgrade the décor of your bedroom by decorating them in Rajasthani style using these bedsheets. 6) Jaipuri handcrafted handbags:  The beautiful multi-coloured Jaipuri handcrafted handbags will surely catch your eye during your Rajasthan tour and tempt you to purchase one or two to add to your collection. These bags are well known for their aesthetic look, lightweight and fine finish. You can buy them in various shapes, sizes and hues, each having a distinct design portraying the Rajasthani lifestyle. 7) The famous Blue pottery:  One of the famous things to purchase in Rajasthan is the blue pottery, available throughout the state. Purchase a few of them to liven the beauty of your home. The reason for the beauty of these potteries lies in the material used in crafting them. Unlike normal pots which are made of clay, these items are made with Multani mitti, sodium sulphate, quartz and raw glaze. 8) Mojiris:  Mojiris are Rajasthani footwear which is also known as Jodhpuri Juttis. You will be delighted to own one of these colourful footwear with patterns in them adding a tinge of royalty. Made of pure leather, the Mojiris are available in different shapes such as Chota panja, gol-panja or Salem shahi. 9) Rajasthani snacks and desserts.:  Your Rajasthan Tour will remain incomplete if you do not taste some of the famous desserts and snacks. Rajasthani snacks are mostly fried and fiery items such as Mirchi vada, pyaaz kachori, Kanji vada, Kalmi Vada etc. Rajasthani bhujia and mathri are also famous and must be tried once. Rajasthani desserts include sweets made of pure ghee, milk and sugar. A famous sweet of the state is Ghewar.

Rajasthan travel FAQs

Do i need a covid-19 vaccine to join an intrepid trip.

Trips from 1 January 2023 onwards

From 1 January 2023, Intrepid will no longer require travelers to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (excluding all Polar trips and select adventure cruises).

However, we continue to strongly recommend that all Intrepid travelers and leaders get vaccinated to protect themselves and others.

Specific proof of testing or vaccination may still be required by your destination or airline. Please ensure you check travel and entry requirements carefully.

How do I get to Rajasthan?

Rajasthan's main cities and regions are well-connected with Delhi, Mumbai and other major entry ports in India.

Rajasthan is a huge state, and while the quickest way to travel around is via flight, the train is recommended.

Not only is it affordable and convenient, but it's one of the most popular ways to get from A to B for locals and is a memorable experience for many travelers in India.

When is the best time to visit Rajasthan?

The weather is at its best during the winter between November and February when the temperatures aren't too high. That said, the nights are chilly (often dipping to 32°F or lower) so you'll definitely need warm layers to rug up.

Many of the state's most exciting festivals are also held in winter, including the Pushkar Camel Fair, Jaisalmer's Desert Festival and the Udaipur World Music Festival.

Visiting in the summer months between March and September isn't off the cards, but the weather is dry and hot with intense temperatures that often climb to 104°F and higher, especially in places like Jaisalmer and Bikaner.

The monsoon runs from July to September, but the rain is generally less severe compared to other states, so visiting during these months is an option if you don't mind the humidity.

What are some famous foods to try in Rajasthan?

Oh, boy are your tastebuds in for a treat! Many of India’s most beloved dishes hail from Rajasthan. Here are a few favorites you absolutely must try:

  • Laal maans:  This meaty curry turns up the heat. It's made by simmering mutton in a fiery gravy spiced with red Kashmiri chilies, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin seeds and cloves. Mop up the leftover sauce with fluffy rice or warm naan.
  • Kachori:  Kachori is one of the most popular snack foods in Rajasthan and you'll often smell it cooking on street corners. It's essentially a fried flatbread filled with a delicious mix of spices, potatoes, daal or whatever else you fancy. It's usually served with chutneys and cool yogurt.
  • Gatte ki subzi:  This delicious curry consists of chickpea flour dumplings cooked in a creamy yogurt-based gravy. It's flavored with red and green chilies, coriander powder, fenugreek leaves, garam masala, turmeric and various other spices.
  • Dal bati churma:  This traditional Rajasthani dish is made with batis (spicy baked wheat balls) served with daal, either on the side or poured generously on top. It's a great lunch dish or snack.
  • Kadhi:   Kadhi is a curd-based curry often eaten with rice or roti. It's thickened with gram flour and flavored with a range of spices such as turmeric, chili paste, mustard seeds, cumin and asafoetida.
  • Ker sangri:  This Rajasthani delicacy is the signature taste of the Thar Desert. It's made with dried ker berries and sangri beans that are boiled in a pressure cooker and then fried in oil, spices and yogurt.

Can I drink the tap water in India?

India is notorious among travelers for sickness – we’ve all heard horror stories about Delhi belly. We do not recommend ever drinking tap water in India, and travelers should avoid drinks with ice and foods that haven’t been cooked or peeled. Salad is off the menu for now – let your inner child rejoice!

Do I need a visa to travel to India?

Yes, all foreigners entering India will need a visa. Whether you can apply for an e-visa is dependent on your nationality, the duration of your India tour and how you plan on entering the country.

This page is for general information only and may be subject to change. It is your responsibility to obtain relevant visa and travel information required for entry, departure and travel to each country or region you visit on your trip. You should confirm these with the relevant embassies and/or consulates.

Do I need to purchase travel insurance before traveling?

Absolutely. All passengers traveling with Intrepid are required to purchase travel insurance before the start of their trip. Your travel insurance details will be recorded by your leader on the first day of the trip. Due to the varying nature, availability and cost of health care around the world, travel insurance is very much an essential and necessary part of every journey.

So, even if you are a novice traveler or looking forward to enjoying your vacation in Rajasthan, you can customize the tour packages or opt for our help for your convenience.

If you are wondering why we offer custom tour packages, here are some reasons for your question or dilemma.

  • First and foremost, customizing the tour packages provides a sense of independence and freedom to our customers. We have witnessed several people expressing their dissatisfaction with the tour packages most operators offer them. It might be due to the wrong choice of hotel accommodations, eateries, and dining areas or the entire itinerary itself. We never wanted this for our tour company. That is why we offer our customers the chance to customize their tour packages according to the places they would like to visit, the cities where they want to stay, and many other such terms and conditions.
  • It is not just the city’s choice that they can customize in our tour package. They can decide where they would like to go for sightseeing, the average time spent at each location, the route to be followed, the halts and the eating destinations, and so on. So, if you want to visit Ranthambore forest first, followed by the palace, just let our experts know, and we will arrange for the same. Similarly, if you want to stay in Jaisalmer throughout your four-day tour without visiting any other location in the state, our experts will arrange for the same.
  • Customizing the Rajasthan tours can also save a lot of money. This is because you can decide what places you would like to visit, the cities you want to cover, where you want to have your breakfast or lunch, and so on. Since you will have the freedom to choose everything from scratch in a tour package, you won’t have to worry about paying unnecessarily for things you didn’t want.

So, let’s not waste any more time and check if our customized tour packages can meet your expectations.

How Much does a Rajasthan Tour Package Cost?

The Rajasthan tour cost depends on several factors that should be considered before you conclude whether you want to opt for the option. For example, more days and nights in a tour package means higher costs. Similarly, if you opt for a tour package that covers top cities in Rajasthan, it will be costlier because of the hotel accommodations, transport, and so on.

Family tours are costlier than personal or friends tour due to the number of people involved in each group. Similarly, when our customers want to stay in premium and luxurious hotels, the cost increases by a whopping amount. So, the cost is not specific and entirely depends on all the above mentioned factors and many others. Therefore, we always advise our customers to ask for a quote before they can finalize everything.

Hotel costs in Rajasthan are approximately within the range of INR 2000 to INR 7000 per day, while transport and sightseeing can cost a person approximately INR 1000 to INR 5000 every day. Apart from this, there will be expenses for meals, shopping, and so on. Although personal costs are not included in our Rajasthan tour packages, the overall average amount will be around INR 27,000 for one person.

Rajasthan's Best Places, including in the Package

Rajasthan, the land of kings, is where one can find history dating back almost a millennium. But you won't find only palaces in this Indian state. With our tour packages, not only will you have the independence to customize the places you want to visit, but also you will come across some of the best treasures of Rajasthan. Must Visit Destinations in Rajasthan

As Rajasthan is one of the largest states in India, there are so many places to visit that you will lose count of the places you did visit in the past. Each city in Rajasthan holds an extraordinary story that will keep you enticed throughout your journey. For example, Jaisalmer is the golden city of Rajasthan, as it has houses and forts made from honey-colored gold sandstone. Similarly, Udaipur is known as the city of lakes because you will find almost 70% of lakes in the western India present here.

Ranthambore, Kumbhalgarh, and these other places are known for their rustic beauty, wilderness, and the famous tales of rajputanas. So, there are so many options that you can try while staying in Rajasthan, either based on our detailed itinerary having all the places listed down or according to the cities you will visit one after another. To start your tour, first, you can visit Jaipur, also known as the pink city of India, because almost every palace in this city is made from pink or red-colored sandstone. It is a well-known center of Rajasthani cuisine, textile, and handicraft industry. Bapu bazaar, Nahargarh Fort, Wind Palace, Amer Fort, and Jal Mahal are the five best places you can visit here in Jaipur.

Considered one of the most romantic spots in India, Udaipur is the destination for all couples and lovers. It is often termed the Venice of the east, thanks to the interconnected canals and water reverse you won’t find anywhere else. The city palace is the most popular place to visit in Udaipur, followed by Fateh Sagar lake and Lake Pichola. You have the Golden City of Jaisalmer in the extreme west of Rajasthan. From the famous Jaisalmer Fort to the Thar Heritage Museum and Sam Sand Dunes, there are so many different places you can visit.

Top Things to Buy in Rajasthan

Living in one of India's most culturally vibrant states and not roaming around the market streets or filling their bags with some of the unique elements sounds quite unnatural. Rajasthan has a culture that you won't find anywhere. It can be because it was once a state where Rajputana thrived, or it is isolated from the rest of the country. Despite all these matters, Rajasthan is one of the best places to visit and an ideal destination for shopaholics. The vibrant, colorful markets in Rajasthan will attract you when you see them for the first time. So, if you have planned to fill your shopping bags with some unique items from Rajasthan, here are the things you can buy.

  • Get the classic Johari jewelry items from Jaipur's flea market, the Johri Bazar.
  • Explore the beauty and uniqueness of Rajasthani textiles at the Bapu Bazar at a much more reasonable price.
  • Flavored teas and spices from different parts of the state are sold at the Clock Tower Market. Once you are in Udaipur, do pay a visit to the Bada Bazar, where you will get shops almost for everything and also at wholesale prices.
  • If you are wondering where to get some test elements to decorate your house, the Hathi Pol bazaar is the best choice. Here, several miniature Rajasthani paintings describe its culture, history, local lifestyle, and many other facts.
  • Another wholesale market you can try in Rajasthan is the Sadar Bazar in Jaisalmer. You will get almost everything here, but the shoes or the jooties made out of camel leather and the authentic silver elements representing Rajasthani culture are the two most famous things that people usually buy here.

Here’s why Rajasthan Tour Package is a Good Option

Rajasthan is one of the most visited states in western India. Being the center of Rajputana history, a neighboring state with Pakistan, and having a vibrant and colorful culture and heritage, the state is known for some of the most spectacular places and fortifications that have perhaps no comparison. From the beautifully designed wind palace in Jaipur to the rustic and tall jessamine foot in Jaisalmer, there are countless places you can visit in each Rajasthani city.

On top of that, Rajasthan’s cuisine is mouth-watering and so delicious that you will often crave having an authentic thali with all the classic elements. But these are not the only reasons you should have a Rajasthani tour package booked for yourself. As the state is so large and there are a plethora of things to do, getting confused is relatively easy.

That’s why you can get everything sorted when you book a professional travel tour of Rajasthan. First, our Rajasthan tour packages cover almost all the famous landmarks in the state based on the cities. Besides, we have tours that cover only a single town and packages with coverage of the top six cities. So, we allow our customers to choose our tour according to their convenience and the place they want to visit. This helps them immensely because they won’t have to work on an itinerary alone and miss some critical landmarks they must see while staying in Rajasthan.

Apart from this, our company will handle all the hotel bookings and accommodations at various locations in Rajasthan. Whether getting confirmation from the hotel about the room booking or asking for the bills, our experts will handle everything so that you can enjoy your tour without hassle. So, what are you waiting for? Do connect with us and learn more about the specialties of our Rajasthan tour packages.

What are the Romantic Things to do on Rajasthan trip?

You would not believe this but Rajasthan is often considered as a romantic gateway or the lovers paradise in India. It can be due to the fact that Rajasthan is the home to the city of lakes, Udaipur which is the true manifestation of romance and adoration. It can also be due to the fact that the state has some of the deserted regions that are perfect for having a private vacation. You have to target, one of the most popular historical towns in India that not only witnessed the love life between Rani padmavati and her husband but also the sacrifice of all the women when Khilji tried to enter the palace with malicious intentions.

But if you are not sure how you can make the most out of the romantic tour of Rajasthan, here are some of the best options for you.

  • Do pay a visit to Sawai Madhopur in Ranthambore.
  • For some sightseeing, you can go for a jungle safari in Ranthambore forest where you will come across tigers, lions, Peacocks, and many other such animals.
  • If you want some peaceful days with your partner for Rajasthan tour, Pushkar and Ajmer sound to be the best options.
  • Discovering some of the historical landmarks in Rajasthan, especially the forts and palaces is something that you shouldn’t miss on such a romantic trip to India’s one of the culturally vibrant states. You can visit the Sheesh Mahal, the Nahargarh Fort, Jaisalmer Fort, the City Palace, and many other such landmarks.
  • One of the famous places in Rajasthan that should be there in your bucket list is Mandawa. Not only it has some of the most famous havellis and palaces in the state but it is also the location where the famous Bollywood movie, Bajrangi Bhaijan was shot.

How Many Days are Enough for Rajasthan?

The vast expanse of Rajasthan is one of the many reasons why people cannot wind up on tour within a couple of days. That’s why most of our tour packages are of a minimum of four days. However, suppose the tour has only one city to cover. In that case, we have options for two days because we believe that the time will be enough for relaxation from your mundane life and discovering the rich culture and heritage of that concerned city.

As we offer customized tour packages for Rajasthan, our clients have the complete liberty to change the number of days and nights we initially had for a particular package. Therefore, they can extend it up to two weeks according to the locations they would like to visit, the number of cities they want to cover in Rajasthan, and the number of days they want to spend in each town. We ensure that our clients can feel at ease with how we decide the number of days and nights for every tour package, which is why there is no room for complaining or experiencing dissatisfaction.

In the urban settlements of Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and so on, it won’t take long for you to visit the sightseeing landmarks in a day due to the availability of well-built roads and interconnectivity of all these locations. However, there might be some transport problems and delays in remote areas, like Jaisalmer, Pushkar, and many other such sites. Besides, if you want to stay a little longer in mount Abu, we would recommend a maximum of three days and two nights because there isn’t much to see at this location unless you go outside the city border and visit the suburban areas.

Best Time to Visit Rajasthan for Perfect Holidays

Rajasthan experiences drastic weather and climate condition throughout the year. Since most of its parts are covered with sand or desert, you won’t find clouds in the city. Even during the monsoon season, the state receives almost ¼ of the rainfall of any other Indian state. So, deciding the right time to explore Rajasthan and its cultural history is pretty tricky.

If you can tolerate the extreme heat during the summer, when the mercury rises above 40 degrees Celsius, you can visit the state from April to June. However, be prepared to endure the summer heat and the loo winds that blow over the land during these months. Since you won’t find clouds in most areas of Rajasthan, there is nothing to be worried about regarding the humidity. Therefore, you won’t sweat much, even if the temperature is pretty high.

Apart from this, autumn and spring are considered the best seasons for visiting Rajasthan and spending the holiday. During these seasons, the temperature remains within an average range, which is neither too hot nor too cold that you won’t be able to tolerate it. Winter season is also amicable for visiting the state. Still, the temperature at night can drop to a considerably low value due to the absence of clouds and the presence of desert.

How to Reach Rajasthan

Rajasthan is well connected to the rest of the country by air, rail and road. It even enjoys a fair degree of international connectivity. Here are the easiest ways to reach Rajasthan.

Reaching Rajasthan by Air

Reaching rajasthan by rail, reaching rajasthan by road, travelling within rajasthan.

It is the fastest way to reach Rajasthan from around the country as well as the world. Get a head start on your Rajasthan tour by flying in. The Jaipur International Airport services a number of flights from international destinations such as Dubai, Sharjah, Muscat, Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. There are a number of other smaller airports at Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota and Bikaner that handle domestic flights. You can take a flight from major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Indore, Guwahati and Jammu.

The second most comfortable way to reach Rajasthan is by rail. It features a good rail network with direct superfast and express trains from Mumbai and Delhi. Jaipur is the headquarters of North-West railways and as such is well-connected with all major cities around the country. Even other cities like Jodhpur, Bikaner and Udaipur receive daily express trains from other parts of the country. If you’re not in a hurry, you can savour the journey before you reach the destination and start enjoying your vacation.

Taking a road trip is a great way to travel to your holiday destination. It gives you greater control over your journey when it is not bound to a restrictive timetable. Rajasthan has a well-maintained network of roads that comprises twenty national highways running through the state. The most well-connected among these is the NH8 which connects Jaipur and Udaipur to major cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Mumbai. You can also choose to take the inter-state bus services that will take you to your destination in relative comfort.

Intercity travel within the state can be done with state-run and private buses. You can also hire a cab to move between cities for a more comfortable ride. It is an expensive option though. City travel is also sorted as you will find local taxi cabs and auto-rickshaws to zip around. Cycle rickshaws are a slower option but let you take in the sights and sounds of the city at leisure. The tempos are like rickshaws but can accommodate more people. You will find the odd tonga outside monuments and other tourist attractions.

Honeymoon in Rajasthan - A Royal Honeymoon

Before we look at what the state has to offer to the rest of its visitors, let’s find out what a honeymoon in Rajasthan looks like. Rajasthan’s glamour as a honeymoon destination is unmistakable. It certainly has the right credentials as its history is steeped in the tales of legendary love stories. The hilly ambience of Mount Abu is full of cosy nooks and crannies that form a wonderful backdrop for your honeymoon.

Ajmer has a certain magnificence that adds a sense of occasion to your special moments. Jaisalmer has a dreamy aura that seems to have jumped out of the Arabian Nights. Jodhpur’s beauty, apparent in its rustic villages and ancient palaces, makes it a special destination for newlyweds to spend their honeymoon. But it is Udaipur that stands out as a stellar destination for your honeymoon. It offers everything from romantic boat rides to Shikara lunch dates to add pizzas to your special moments of love.

The PadamTalao is a thriving water hole that offers sightings of other wildlife as well. But the thrill of watching a tiger from up close can hardly be matched by any other experiences. The 10th century Ranthambore Palace inside the park stands steadfast in its dilapidated glory. It still has stories to tell. The palace is a UNESCO heritage site that holds tremendous cultural and historical value.

Rajasthan’s only hill station is a traveller’s paradise. It is also an important pilgrimage spot that is home to the famous Dilwara Jain Temples. Perched atop the lush Aravalli Hills, Mount Abu  enjoys pleasant weather all around the year. The intricately carved roof, pillars and walls of the Dilwara Temples will compete with the surrounding natural beauty for your attention. Hiking, camping and boating in Nakki Lake are some of the highly recommended activities to do here.

Famous the world over for its annual camel fair, Pushkar  is also a buzzing pilgrimage site. It is one of the most ancient cities of India and is also known for its Brahma temple. The city has more than 50 ghats that resound with devotion every day during the evening aartis. You can enjoy activities such as hot-air balloon rides, horse riding and yoga to add to your Pushkar experience. But the highlight of Pushkar has to be the hundred-year-old Pushkar Mela. The city bursts into a riot of colours during the five-day event in November which sees people coming in from far and near. Thar Desert Tourism offers a multitude of activities for the visiting tourist. But the most unique and wonderful experience is camping under the starlit skies which is only achievable when you spend your night in Thar Desert Rajasthan .

Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace, Karni Mata Temple and the annual Camel Festival are Bikaner’s claims to fame. Also known for its rich culinary heritage, it is also a good place to shop for local handicrafts and arts. The city’s collection of forts and palaces are worth exploring for their designs that are brilliant examples of Usta and Chadwaartforms featuring geometric and floral patterns.

The Ajmer Dargah is a popular pilgrimages site visited by people of all faiths. It is a green oasis bordering the Thar desert. The NaagPathar ranges that protect the city from the worst of the heat are one of its main attractions. The Ana Sagar Lake and Nareli Jain Temple are other places of interest here.

Chittorgarh has Maurya ancestry and was around as early as 734 AD. Known for being the birthplace of MaharanaPratap and Meera Bai, it has a great historical significance. Its several heritage forts and monuments echo with history and folklore that became legends. The Chittorgarh Fort, Rana Kumbha Palace, Rani Padmini’s Palace and Kalika Mata Temple are some of the places that you should check out.

Along with all its history, Rajasthan has a rich culinary heritage that has been shaped by its geography. A dearth of water and vegetables have played a big role in determining its cuisine that is dominated by dried lentils, beans and meats. Long-lasting ingredients, oil and red chillies help preserve the food, reducing the need for water. Here are our top three picks of Rajasthani delicacies.

Dal Bati Churma

Pyazki kachori.

It is a signature dish of the region that has forged its own identity over years. The hard, crunchy bati made out of coarsely ground wheat and jaggery, and cooked in ghee, perfectly complements the creamy, savoury dal. It is the classic taste of Rajasthan.

This crunchy, flaky deep-fried snack is a treat for foodies. It is a flat kachori that is stuffed with a spicy onion mixture and served with an assortment of mint, coriander, date and tamarind chutneys. Dahi is optionally added to tone down the fiery notes of the spicy filling.

End your culinary adventure on a sweet note with ghevar, which is a Rajasthani classic. The crunchy wheat base soaks in the ghee and milk toppings and infuses every bite with sweet indulgence. As if it was not rich enough, you can also try mawaghevar and malaighevar which are richer varieties of ghevar that take the satisfaction to the next level.

Shopping in Rajasthan

Rajasthan has a rich artistic heritage that is displayed through its handlooms and handicrafts. The vibrant, over-the-top use of colours is meant to contrast the monotonous desert hues. Shopping in the desert state can be an experience in itself. Here are our recommendations for five things you should buy in Rajasthan.

Metal Crafts

Rajasthani Jewellery makes a bold statement. The large handmade pieces are made to stand out in a colourful traditional ensemble. The intricate Kundan work adds a delicate touch to the daring design. The traditional Meenakshijewellery, beautifully adorned with precious and semi-precious gemstones, proudly sport its heritage.

The Rajasthanijutis sport a signature design that makes them instantly recognisable in a crowd. Made of fine leather, they’re decorated with vivid traditional designs that make a statement of their own.

The metal crafts of Rajasthan are in a league of their own. Bichi, Chikan and Maori are some of the famous metal crafts of the region which combine bright colours and intricate patterns with traditional metal works.

Rajasthan’s blue pottery is a masterclass of design that can instantly liven up your dinner table. The lovingly crafted designs over a blue background are glazed and serve a practical purpose by protecting the pottery from cracking.

Rajasthan is one of the best places in the country to buy ethnic carpets. Carpets here are woven out of wool, cotton yarn and camel hair. The intricate designs are mesmerising to look at and make a great addition to any home.

Things to Do in Rajasthan

Far from promising a docile holiday experience, Rajasthan encourages you to get out and explore its diverse offerings. Here are our recommendations of things to do.

Adventure Activities

Camel safari.

  • Desert Camping

Adventure seekers will be pleasantly surprised by the abundance of adventure activities in offered by our wide range of Rajasthan tour packages. With hot-air balloon rides in Pushkar to paragliding in Jaipur, the adventures here take your excitement sky-high. Fly across a zip line in Jodhpur and go trekking in Chittorgarh . You won’t have to seek out adventure, you’ll find it everywhere in Rajasthan.

A camel safari is a classic Rajasthani experience that will take you through some of the most stunning desert landscapes. The camels seem to glide over the desert floor effortlessly. Once you get used to the swaying motion of the ride, it makes for a soothing experience. There’s nothing better than watching a golden sunset over the sand dunes.

Desert Camping

A desert camp will offer you glimpses of a desert’s magnificence under a starlit sky. Spend a night in the desert under the stars to appreciate the vastness of the universe. Away from the light pollution of the cities, you will be treated to an awe-inspiring celestial light show. Other treats of desert camping include food, dance and music.

Apart from its forts and palaces, Rajasthan is home to a vast number of temples that are a part of its varied heritage. They offer you a peek into the state’s spiritual side. The Brahma Temple   of Pushkar, Birla Mandir of Jaipur and Eklingji Temple of Udaipur are some of the most well-known temples in Rajasthan

House passes key foreign aid package

By Kaanita Iyer, Shania Shelton and Isabelle D'Antonio, CNN

The House just voted on a potential TikTok ban (again). Now what?

From CNN's Brian Fung

The TikTok office in Culver City, California, is pictured on March 13.

House lawmakers have once again passed legislation that could lead to a nationwide TikTok ban, renewing a massive threat to the company’s US operations.

Here’s what we know, and how it could affect you:

Didn’t the House vote on something like this recently?

Yes. In March, House lawmakers approved a bill that would give TikTok roughly six months to sell or the app would be prohibited from US app stores and from “internet hosting services” that support it.

What makes this bill different?

Instead of a six-month deadline, TikTok would have roughly nine months, which could be extended by President Joe Biden by 90 days if he determines there’s been progress toward a sale. Also, the bill has now been inserted into a larger foreign aid package, which makes it much harder for lawmakers to oppose the measure.

Could the Senate vote on the foreign aid package without the TikTok language?

Senators could try to strip out the TikTok legislation, but policy analysts view it as unlikely, as quickly approving the foreign aid is a top congressional priority.

What does this mean for my use of the app?

If the Senate votes to approve the TikTok legislation, it heads to the desk of Biden, who endorsed the prior version of the bill and may quickly sign any foreign aid package that includes similar language targeting TikTok.

In theory, that would start the 270-day clock for TikTok to find a buyer. If it can’t separate from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, then users could be cut off. But that is still a big “if.”

The House passed a key foreign aid package. Catch up on what happened

The US Capitol is seen in Washington, DC, on Saturday.

The House on Saturday passed a key package that provides aid to Ukraine, Israel and the Indo-Pacific region, while also addressing GOP legislative priorities, such as sanctions on Iran and a potential ban on TikTok.

Here's what you need to know:

It's a $95 billion package

  • The bills provide nearly $61 billion for Ukraine, more than $26 billion for Israel and more than $8 billion for Indo-Pacific security.

The package could lead to a TikTok ban

  • The fourth bill in the package would place sanctions on the seizure of frozen Russian sovereign assets and a measure that could lead to a  nationwide ban of TikTok .
  • If passed, the bill would give the app's Chinese parent company, ByteDance, nine months to sell the social media company or it would be banned from US app stores.

How the House voted on each measure

  • Ukraine aid: 311-112. This was the most contentious bill and it received unanimous support from Democrats, while Republicans were split.
  • Israel aid: 366-58
  • Indo-Pacific aid: 385-34
  • TikTok and Iran sanctions bill : 360-58

What happens next

  • The legislation will be combined into one amendment before being sent to the Senate, where lawmakers will begin voting on it Tuesday.
  • The Senate is likely to pass the package, which would then head to President Joe Biden , who has signaled that he would sign it.

Speaker Johnson's job is safe, for now

  • Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she won’t move forward with her  motion to vacate House Speaker Mike Johnson on Saturday to allow her GOP colleagues to hear from their constituents during the one-week recess.

Palestinian official condemns vote by US House for aid package to Israel

From CNN's Eyad Kourdi

Nabil Abu Rudeineh, the spokesperson for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, voiced strong condemnation of the US House's approval of a $26 billion aid package for Israel, claiming the funding will directly correlate to the increasing number of Palestinian casualties, according to a statement published Saturday by WAFA, the official Palestinian agency.

Abu Rudeineh criticized the support, claiming it gives Israel the green light to broaden the war across the region and undermines the prospects for regional and global stability.

"US security aid [to Israel] constitutes a dangerous escalation and aggression against the Palestinian people," Abu Rudeineh added.

19 House Progressive Caucus members say Israel aid bill "could result in more killings of civilians"

From CNN's Philip Wang and Sahar Akbarzai

Nineteen members of the House Progressive Caucus who voted against further aid to Israel said Saturday that “we make ourselves complicit in this tragedy” if Congress continues to supply military assistance amid the humanitarian crisis in Gaza .

More than 34,000 people have been killed in Gaza since the Israel-Hamas war began in October, according to the Ministry of Health there.

The statement also called for a ceasefire in Gaza, more humanitarian aid to be delivered, and peace talks to begin.

“When faced with the question of whether to provide offensive aid to further this conflict, we believe there is a moral imperative to find another path," the statement said.

These are the 19 progressive members who voted against the measure: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nydia Velázquez of New York; Joaquin Castro, Lloyd Doggett and Greg Casar of Texas; Pramila Jayapal of Washington; Ro Khanna, Mark Takano, Barbara Lee and Judy Chu of California; Becca Balint of Vermont; Jim McGovern of Massachusetts; Earl Blumenauer of Oregon; Hank Johnson of Georgia; André Carson of Indiana; Bonnie Watson Coleman of New Jersey; Jesús García and Jonathan Jackson of Illinois; and Jill Tokuda of Hawaii.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says foreign aid bills will allow department "to surge lifesaving security assistance"

From CNN's Samantha Waldenberg

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin speaks to the media at the seventh gathering of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany, on March 19.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Saturday celebrated the House's passage of a $95 billion foreign aid package for Ukraine, Israel and the Indo-Pacific.

“This bipartisan legislation will allow the Department to surge lifesaving security assistance to help Ukraine defend itself from Russia's aggression, support Israel's defense from Iran and its proxies, and increase the flow of urgently needed humanitarian aid to suffering Palestinian civilians in Gaza,” he said in a statement.

Austin added that the package of bills will “save lives” and that the “world is watching” what the United States does.

"We have seen yet again that the troubles of our times will only worsen without strong, steady U.S. leadership to advance our core security interests," Austin said, adding, "We must never give our friends, our rivals, or our foes any reason to doubt America's resolve."

"We have not been forgotten": Ukrainian troops describe morale boost from US House vote

From CNN's Daria Tarasova-Markina and Andrew Carey in Kyiv

Ukrainian servicemen told CNN the US House vote to approve military aid provides a much-needed shot in the arm.

“We thought that our partners had forgotten about us,” an intelligence officer who is serving in the Zaporizhzhia region said in a phone conversation. “This news gives us a sense of support and understanding that we have not been forgotten.”

An artillery reconnaissance commander who spent two years defending the town of Avdiivka before it fell to Russia in February had a similar message.

“When we feel support from the outside, it motivates us. After all, the military knows it cannot win with sticks and bows and arrows,” he told CNN. “For people who want to defeat the enemy, this news is a great morale booster.”

Russian Foreign Ministry says US foreign aid package will "exacerbate global crises"

From CNN's Fred Pleitgen in Kyiv and Matt Meyer

A foreign aid package passed by the US House of Representatives will “exacerbate global crises,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a statement to CNN on Saturday.

Zakharova said that in addition to the package's "military aid to the Kyiv regime," the bills would support Taiwan's "interference in China’s internal affairs" and allow Israel to continue "a direct path toward escalating unprecedented aggravation in the region."

Some context: Russia, which is aligned with China and Iran on the global stage, has long painted US aid to Ukraine as American interventionism and an attempt to assert Western influence in the region.

Ukraine has said aid from Washington is critical as it continues to fight back against the full-scale invasion Moscow launched into its territory in February 2022.

Greene and Massie rail on Johnson, say more Republicans will join their effort to oust him after speaking to their constituents

From CNN’s Morgan Rimmer, Manu Raju and Haley Talbot

GOP Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie railed on House Speaker Mike Johnson and his handling of the foreign aid bills, despite deciding not to move to oust the speaker Saturday.

Greene argued that more House Republicans will support their effort after going home over recess and speaking with their constituents.

“I'm actually gonna let my colleagues go home and hear from their constituents, because I think people have been too obsessed with voting for foreign wars and the murder industry here in America to actually understand how angry Americans are,” the Georgia Republican told CNN.

Massie, a Kentucky Republican, added that they are giving Johnson the chance to resign, although the speaker has insisted he won’t . Massie added he believes a motion to vacate — a rarely used procedural tool to remove the House speaker — will happen eventually.

“I'm pretty sure one will come to the floor, if he doesn't resign at some point, but we're trying to avoid that,” he said.

Greene insisted their effort to oust Johnson is gaining momentum, adding that the speaker is "a lame duck." Rep. Paul Gosar Friday signed on to the effort Friday, becoming the third member to do so.

“If we had the vote today in our conference, he would not be speaker today. He's already a lame duck, he can't raise money, everyone knows it,” Greene claimed.

Vulnerable House Republicans praise Johnson for handling of foreign aid bills

From CNN's Morgan Rimmer

House Speaker Mike Johnson talks to the press after the House passed four foreign aid bills at the Capitol in Washington, DC, on Saturday.

Several swing-district House Republicans praised Speaker Mike Johnson for pushing forward with the foreign aid bills and attacked his detractors.

Republican Rep. Marc Molinaro, a vulnerable New York freshman lawmaker, told CNN’s Manu Raju that after speaking with his constituents, “It is clear to me that there are moments in time where we must do the right thing, and today we did that.”

He defended Johnson for waiting for months to hold votes on aid for critical allies Israel and Ukraine, saying the speaker had to build bipartisan consensus in "a very complicated Congress." Molinaro said he hoped Johnson’s detractors do not attempt to oust him, warning them that Congress is not “only supposed to do what they want.”

Rep. Jen Kiggans, a vulnerable Republican from Virginia, also praised the speaker.

“I'm very proud of Mike Johnson. I know what he did today was difficult, but there was a lot of us standing by him, and you saw great bipartisan effort today. And that's what Americans want to see,” she said.

Kiggans criticized the GOP hardliners who have pushed for Johnson’s ouster over the foreign aid package, saying, "It frustrates me when we have members of our conference who are isolationist; who don't believe in standing with our allies.”
