Our service

• Blazer 2 Charters operates throughout the year, weather permitting.
• During the winter months from November to January, fishing is restricted to ground fishing for cod, whiting, dog fish etc.
• The rest of the year is spent wreck and ground fishing for pollack, cod, ling, conger, bass etc.
• Day charter trips start around 08:00am typically lasting 8 to 9 hours. Longer trips from 10 to 12 hours can be arranged, weather and tides permitting.
• Tea & coffee is available all day.
• Onboard toilet facilities.

SEA FISHING

We offer 2 hour ‘taster’ trips (incl. Mackerel) or 4 & 8 hour trips. All are welcome, from the less experienced to the species hunter, Children and Ladies most welcome. We have over 50 years sea fishing experience, and are very happy to offer as much help as you feel you need to get the best from your time afloat, and to maximise your catch. We do not do long distance wrecking trips, but do however, fish the closer wrecks for Eels, Cod, Pollock etc. but we really specialise in Plaice, Bream, Tope, Smooth-hound, Bull Huss, Bass, Skate, winter Cod etc.- Should you have any particular species in mind, please call for impartial and honest advice. Catering for the individual angler to small groups or whole boat charters the boat is licenced for 12 passengers. We go to sea with a minimum of just 3 anglers. Rod and tackle hire is available. Free Tea and Coffee.

Delta Sunrise is an Offshore 105, powered by a Catapillar 400hp engine, with Disabled access, she is fully Licenced for the carrying of 12 passengers by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). She also holds a Full MCA Commercial Workboat license.

Delta Charters takes your safety very seriously and the boat carries in excess of the standard Saftey Equipment as required by Maritime Law; including Liferaft & full safety equipment!

Onboard equipment includes 3 x DSC/VHF Marine Radios, 3 x colour fishfinders, 3 x GPS navigator/plotters, and Radar as standard.

With seating for all onboard, and a proper loo, Delta Sunrise is the perfect fishing vessel.

Yellowfin is a fast, spacious and stable boat that can easily reach the mid channel wrecks and further afield. The Sussex coast offers rich and varied fishing to sea anglers, there are literally hundreds of productive wrecks to fish for Cod, Pollack, Ling, Bass and Conger to name just a few.

Drift the sandbanks for Turbot, Brill, Blonde and Undulate Rays (all rays are released), or do some ‘inshore’ fishing for Plaice, Cod, Tope, Smooth-hound, Mackerel and Bream.

So far, 41 species of fish have been caught on Yellowfin, just take a look at our photo gallery.

About the Skipper

My passion for fishing started aged 5, sitting on the banks of the river seven with my dad and grandad and then in my teens progressing to sea fishing. In 1993 I got my own boat and began fishing out of Newhaven and even crewed for a local charter boat for a time.

Whenever I get a chance, I still love to fish and usually book a trip or two on a boat when on holiday. Owning my own boat and taking people out to fish, is for me my dream job, I never fail to get a buzz from giving people a good day out fishing or seeing someone catch their personal best.

It’s a pleasure for me to help those that are new to fishing or to guide and teach the next generation of anglers.

Bird and Wildlife watching Trips

• Sussex coastline has a famous Kittiwake nesting site (Spring/Summer) but you can often also see Gannets, Fulmars, Black headed gulls, Black backed gulls, Skuas, Turns, Guillemots, Little Auks, Cormorants and migrating Swifts, Swallows and Warblers. In terms of other wildlife we have seen dolphins, porpoise and seals

Sight-seeing trips

• A deposit of £100 is required for boat bookings. The balance is payable in cash on the day. • For individuals £50 deposit is payable at the time of booking. • In the event of bad weather we offer another date or refund. • Please ring between 5pm and 6pm the evening before to check the weather is ok to go. • Bait or Lures will need to be purchased separately and we can organise this on your behalf. • The tackle shop adjacent to the boat opens at 0700 for you bait and tackle requirements. • Boarding is 0715 for departure at 0730 (unless otherwise agreed or stated) for standard 8 hour fishing trips. • FUEL SURCHARGE – due to rising diesel costs a fuel surcharge may apply to trips more than 20 miles offshore.

Channel Diver – This 36ft catamaran with a beam 16ft has a large open deck space which offers excellent fishing space and all round fishing area of 70ft. There is also a dry seating area inside the wheelhouse for 10 people to sit in comfort, there is a fridge & kettle and Tea & Coffee is available

Kestrel Warrior 6 is a Starfish 8, a purpose-built charter angling boat that provides maximum fishing space. With a deck space of 14 sqr meters allowing Kestrel Warrior 6 to accommodate up to 7 anglers.

The boat has a Volvo Penta 200 HP turbocharged inboard engine that can push the boat along with a cruising speed of 12 mph and a maximum sprint speed of 20 mph. the boat has all modern electronics and has just undergone a full inside refit and a new seating area. The boat also has an outside bait station for ease of baiting up and storing your fish to keep them fresh.

Frequently asked questions, do i need to bring any equipment .

We include everything in the price however you are welcome to bring your own rods and lures if you wish.

My booking was canceled due to weather

The English weather is unpredictable at the best of times. You can either re-arrange for a different day or we will give you a full refund.

What facilities are onboard?

You are responsible to bring your own refreshments, freshwater, and a snack is advised. There are no toilet facilities on board, toilets are available in the marina area.

What should I wear?

We recommend bringing an extra layer as it can be colder on the water than it is onshore. During the summer months, SPF 50 is recommended to protect against sunburns.

Can I make an ad-hoc payment?

Yes, if you arranged your trip through Facebook or directly with Iain please click here to make a payment. Inputting the agreed amount. 

No Smoking or Alcohol onboard

There is a strict no smoking and alcohol onboard. We reserve the right to refuse entry.
