At a distance of 60 km Nagajuna Sagar, 30 Kms from Srisailam and 173 km from Hyderabad, the Nagarjuna Sagar - Srisailam Sanctuary (or Srisailam Sanctuary) is the largest tiger reserve in the country, spread across 3568 Sq. Kms. It is spread between Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir & Srisailam reservoir. It was declared a sanctuary in 1973 and was incorporated under Project Tiger a decade later. Hyderabad Near National Park : స్కూళ్లు, కాలేజీలకు సెలవులు ప్రకటించారు. ఇన్నాళ్లు పుస్తకాలతో కుస్తీలు పట్టిన పిల్లలకు మానసిక ఉల్లాసాన్ని కలిగించేందుకు...ప్రకృతి అందాలను పరిచయం చేసేందుకు ఒక ట్రిప్(Summer Trip) ప్లాన్ చేస్తున్నారా? అయితే హైదరాబాద్ (Hyderabad) కు 20 కి.మీ దూరంలోనే ఓ నేషనల్ పార్క్ ఉంది. అదే మృగవని నేషనల్ పార్క్(Mrugavani National Park). హైదరాబాద్ ఎంజీబీఎస్ నుంచి 20 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో మొయినాబాద్ మండలంలోని చిల్కూరు(Chilkur) సమీపంలో ఈ జాతీయ ఉద్యానవనం ఉంది. దాదాపుగా 3.6 చదరపు కిలోమీటర్లు లేదా 1211 ఎకరాల విస్తీర్ణంలో ఈ నేషనల్ పార్క్(National Park) విస్తరించి ఉంది. ఇందులో 600 రకాల వృక్ష జాతులు, దాదాపు 350 మచ్చల జింకలకు నిలయంగా ఉంది. వీటితో పాటు కుందేళ్లు, అడవి పిల్లి , సివెట, ఇండియన్ ర్యాట్ స్నేక్, రస్సెల్స్ వైపర్ , చితాల్, ఫ్లవర్ పెకర్ ఉన్నాయి. నేషనల్ పార్కులో సఫారీ రైడ్ సరికొత్త అనుభూతిని అందిస్తుంది.
600 జాతుల వృక్షాలు
హైదరాబాద్ సమీపంలోని మృగవని నేషనల్ పార్క్ ప్రధాన పర్యాటక(Telangana Tourist Spot) ఆకర్షణగా మారింది. భారత ప్రభుత్వం 1994లో దీనిని వన్యప్రాణుల అభయారణ్యంగా ప్రకటించింది. అప్పటి నుంచి ఈ పార్క్ దాదాపు 600 జాతుల మొక్కలు, జంతువులకు నిలయంగా ఉంది. అన్ని నేషనల్ పార్కుల తరహాలోనే మృగవని నేషనల్ పార్క్(Mrugavani National Park) కూడా అన్ని విలువైన జీవులు సహజ ఆవాసాలలో ఎటువంటి ఇబ్బంది లేకుండా ఉండేలా చూస్తారు.
100 కంటే ఎక్కువ పక్షి జాతులు
ఇక్కడి వాతావరణం చాలా ఆహ్లాదకరంగా ఉంటుంది. పార్క్ మొత్తం చూసేందుకు ఒక వ్యూ పాయింట్(View Point) ఉంది. జంతువులను దగ్గరగా చూడటానికి ఒక వాచ్ టవర్ కూడా ఉంది. వన్యప్రాణులను ప్రదర్శించే మ్యూజియం, ఆడిటోరియం, పర్యావరణానికి సంబంధించిన ఒక లైబ్రరీ, విద్యా కేంద్రం కూడా ఉంది. సందర్శకులు కోసం సఫారీ(Safari Raid) రైడ్ కు వెళ్లవచ్చు. అలాగే గైడ్లు అందుబాటులో ఉంటాయి. వారితో కలిసి ట్రెక్కింగ్ (Trekking) చేయవచ్చు. హైదరాబాద్ ప్రాంతంలో కనుమరుగవుతున్న స్థానిక వృక్షాలను ఇక్కడ సంరక్షిస్తున్నారు. వాటిని వీక్షించవచ్చు. ఇక్కడ టేకు, వెదురు, పికస్, పలాస్, రేలా వీటితో పాటు వృక్ష జాతులలో బ్రయోఫైట్స్, టెరిడోఫైట్స్, మూలికలు చూడవచ్చు. చీతల్, సాంబార్, అడవి పంది, జంగిల్ క్యాట్, సివెట్ క్యాట్, ముంగూస్ మానిటర్ లిజార్డ్, కొండచిలువ, రస్సెల్ వైపర్, కింగ్ కోబ్రా జంతువులతో పాటు 100 కంటే ఎక్కువ జాతుల పక్షులు, వార్బ్లెర్స్, నెమళ్లు, లాప్ వింగ్స్, ఫ్లవర్ పెకర్స్ ను చూడవచ్చు.
