How to get tickets for AC/DC’s 2024 UK tour in London, including price

Get hyped for the band’s first UK shows in eight years

Rock ‘n’ roll doesn’t get much bigger than AC/DC. Over almost five decades, the legendary hard rockers have truly earned GOAT status – and now, after weeks of teasing, the band has finally confirmed that they’re hitting the road in 2024. They’ll be playing in London for the first time in eight long years. 

The band announced their  UK and Europe tour on social media this morning (February 12). Called the ‘POWER UP’ tour, it’s named after AC/DC’s 2020 studio album. Fans will get to head-bang to a line-up of classics and newer stuff with Brian Johnson on vocals, brothers Angus and Stevie Young on guitar, Matt Laug on drums and Chris Chaney carrying the torch for bassist Cliff Williams, who retired from performing in 2016. Here’s everything you need to know to get yourself in those mosh pits at Wembley.

When is AC/DC going on their UK and Europe tour in 2024?

The band will play a total of 21 dates across European cities, starting with Gelsenkirchen in Germany on May 17 and wrapping up in Dublin ’s Croke Park on August 17.

When is AC/DC playing in London? 

They’ll take to the Wembley Stadium stage on July 3 and July 7 2024. 

When do tickets go on sale for their POWER UP tour?

Tickets go live on Friday, February 16 at 10am. You can get your hands on them here . 

How much will tickets cost?

Gigs and Tours has revealed that tickets will be £115 for main pitch standing, £130 for front pitch standing and in the region of £55 to £145 for seated (depending on which seats you pick). Don’t forget there will also be a booking fee added to the final cost. 

Any news on presale?

There currently aren’t plans for any kind of presale, so as far as we know everyone will be in with the same chance of securing tickets. If anything changes and you want to be the first to know about it, make sure you’re signed up to the band’s  newsletter here .

AC/DC announce 21-date Power Up tour - and a new bass player

AC/DC's long-awaited return to the road has finally been confirmed

AC/DC have announced a 10-city, 21-date European tour. The band, who returned to the stage at last year's Power Trip festival in California , will kick off the Power Up schedule at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on May 17, and wrap things up at the Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland, on August 17. The schedule includes two UK shows at London's Wembley Stadium on July 3 and 7. Full dates below.

Tickets go on sale at 10am local time on February 16. 

The band have also confirmed the lineup for the tour, which will see Brian Johnson, Angus Young and Stevie Young joined by drummer Matt Laug, who deputised for Phil Rudd at Power Trip, and former Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, who'll be filling in for Cliff Williams. Williams initially retired from the band at the end of the Rock Or Bust tour in 2016, but returned for 2020's Power Up album.

Chaney was also a member of Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, and played at Wembley Stadium during the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert . A noted session and touring musician, he's also performed with Joe Satriani, Slash, Joe Cocker, Bryan Adams, Meat Loaf and many others.

AC/DC began teasing the tour last week by posting a mysterious video on their social media channels. The clip showed a flickering version of the band's lightning bolt logo, followed by the words 'ARE YOU READY', accompanied by the AC/DC song of the same name. Subsequent clips continued the countdown to today's announcement, while a clock did the same job on the band's official website. 

No dates have yet been announced for North and South America, Asia or Australasia, although Brazilian sources claim that AC/DC have been approached to perform at this year's Rock In Rio event, which takes place in September.  

Prior to Power Trip, the Aussie titans hadn't hit the road together since 2016. The new dates also mark the return to full-time action of frontman Brian Johnson, who was forced to abandon AC/DC's Rock Or Bust trek after developing hearing problems, and was replaced by  Guns N' Roses  singer Axl Rose for the remainder of the tour.

The Pretty Reckless to Support AC/DC on 2024 PWR Up European Tour

Taylor Momsen and the Pretty Reckless will support AC/DC on the "Hells Bells" band's upcoming 2024 European tour . The news was announced on Monday morning (March 25) when AC/DC shared a poster for their first Euro swing in eight years, which will feature the "Only Love Can Save Me Now" band serving as the only opener on all 24 dates of the stadium outing slated to kick off on May 17 at Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

"It's f–king AC/DC. That's it," the band says when asked to describe their excitement about hitting the road with the "Dirty Deeds" icons.

AC/DC's first European tour in nearly a decade will find the band playing with a line-up featuring singer Brian Johnson, guitarist Angus Young, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney replacing longtime bassist Cliff Williams; Williams retired from the band at the conclusion of their 2016  Rock  or Bust tour, returning to the fold briefly for the 2020  Power Up  album. Johnson was temporarily replaced by Guns ‘N Roses singer Axl Rose in 2016 due to Johnson's battle with hearing loss issues.

The AC/DC tour will hit Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland before touching down at London's Wembley Stadium for a pair of shows on July 3 and 7, then moving on to Germany, Slovakia and Paris and winding down at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland on August 17. The European tour is the first run of gigs since AC/CD's long-awaited return to the stage at last year's all-star hard rock Power Trip Festival in Indio, California.
