Bruno Mars Set to Make Bangkok Groove in March 2024, First Time In Six Years

International music sensation Bruno Mars is set to make a triumphant return to Thailand with his first concert in six years. The eagerly anticipated event, titled “Bruno Mars Live in Bangkok,” is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 30th at the renowned Rajamangala Stadium.

Fans can look forward to an electrifying performance featuring an array of Bruno Mars’ chart-topping hits, including iconic tracks like “Uptown Funk,” “Just the Way You Are,” “That’s What I Like,” “When I Was Your Man,” “Talking to the Moon,” and “24K Magic.”

Ticket sales for the concert will commence on January 25th at 10 AM for Live Nation Tero members, with general public sales beginning on January 26th, also at 10 AM. For eager fans, VIP Gold tickets are sold at 11,000 baht, while VIP Silver tickets range from 5,500 baht to 9,000 baht. Bruno Mars to Continue Asian Leg of Tour in Thailand, Singapore

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Bruno Mars recently announced concerts for Bangkok, Thailand, and Singapore via concert promoter Live Nation. The  Silk Sonic singer  is set to return to the Southeast Asian countries this March and April, with the Bangkok show scheduled for March 30 before meeting his Singaporean fans on April 5. While no other Southeast Asia tour dates have been announced thus far, the announcement comes amidst the singer’s seven-show residency at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, from January 11 until January 21. Previously, Mars last performed in Asia in Seoul, South Korea, and Bulacan, the Philippines, in June 2023. Meanwhile, the last time Singapore and Thailand saw Bruno Mars was in 2018 as part of his 24K Magic World Tour.

What has Bruno Mars been up to?

The last we heard of Bruno Mars as a soloist was in 2016, but the singer has been actively performing worldwide in recent years, including a Las Vegas residency. Last year, we highlighted his first time headlining the  Bourbon & Beyond lineup  — a Louisville musical festival that also welcomed The Killers and The Black Keys as first-time headliners in the same year. Aside from performing, Mars also formed the super duo Silk Sonic with Anderson .Paak, releasing the critically acclaimed “An Evening with Silk Sonic” album in 2021. As a duo, Silk Sonic toured and held concerts in 2022. As mentioned above, Live Nation’s announcement of the Bangkok and Singapore dates came as Mars kicks off his  concert tour in Japan . The seven-show residency at Tokyo Dome has featured a cover of Japanese group AKB48’s “Heavy Rotation” so far, along with a fun Instagram post from Mars himself. In the image, the Grammy winner embraces Japanese pop culture, sporting playful tourist attire like a Pikachu hat and an “I love Japan” tee, topped with chunky white-framed shades.

Bruno Mars as style icon

Of course, Bruno Mars is no stranger to fashion and his own flavor of retro-inspired style choices. Over the years, Mars has been seen dancing and singing in shades of various styles in his music videos and on stage. During casual and red carpet outings, the singer has been seen wearing  Ray-Ban sunglasses  like the classic Aviator. Notably, his 2010 music video for “The Lazy Song” featured the Ray-Ban Wayfarer, worn by Mars and his five chimpanzee mask-wearing dancers. In line with his retro fashion style, Mars often wears the Ray-Ban Clubmaster, a silhouette reminiscent of 1950s eyewear. Besides his love for shades, the singer also seems to match his fashion style and retro vibe to his music. In 2021, coinciding with the release of Silk Sonic’s “Leave the Door Open,” Bruno Mars launched a line of  Lacoste tracksuits  under his alter ego, Ricky Regal. Mars describes the distinction as ‘Bruno Mars’ being his on-stage name, whereas ‘Ricky Regal’ is what he goes by when “making lavish, luxurious garments.” In partnership with Lacoste, Bruno Mars shares his love for the 1960-70s glam aesthetic. The inaugural collection included tracksuits, fluid button-up shirts, retro-inspired polos, patterned shorts, and fitted tees. Aside from the ready-to-wear pieces, the collection also included accessories like slides, socks, and aviator glasses. The Ricky Regal campaign had product shots featuring Mars and Anderson .Paak enjoying drinks in front of a glam golden background.

Bruno Mars Asia Tour 2024: Presale, tickets, dates, venues, & all you need to know

B runo Mars Asia Tour 2024 is scheduled to be on March 30, 2024, and April 5, 2024, in Singapore and Bangkok. The tour will be a follow-up to the January 2024 Tokyo shows by the singer, which are set to be wrapped up on January 21, 2024.

The new tour was announced via a post on the official live partner, Live Nation Asia's official Instagram account, on January 9, 2024.

The presale for the tour will be available on January 19, 2024, for the Singapore date and on January 25, 2024, for the Thailand date. Interested patrons can access the presale by registering on the official Live Nation website.

General tickets will be available on January 20, 2024, for the Singapore date and on January 26, 2024, for the Thailand date. Ticket prices have not been announced. Tickets can be purchased from the official website of the singer or via Live Nation.

Bruno Mars Asia Tour: Dates and venue

This month, Bruno Mars will first tour Asia, performing multiple shows at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. The Asia Tour's first leg is slated to conclude on January 21, 2024.

After the Tokyo shows, the singer will briefly return to the US to play at the Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the last show at the venue scheduled to be held on February 9, 2024.

After the Las Vegas shows, the singer will embark on the newly announced tour. The dates and venues for the Bruno Mars Asia tour in 2024 are given below:

• March 30, 2024 - Bangkok, Thailand at Rajamangala National Stadium
• April 5, 2024 - Singapore, Singapore at National Stadium.

Bruno Mars' debut studio album was released in 2010

Bruno Mars, born Peter Gene Hernandez on October 8, 1985, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer who started exhibiting musical talents at an early age. The singer performed in a school band known as The School Boys while attending President Theodore Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The singer released his debut studio album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans , on October 4, 2010, via Elektra and Atlantic Records. The album was a major chart breakthrough, peaking as a chart-topper on the Canadian, Dutch, Irish, Swiss, and UK album charts.

Unorthodox Jukebox , the singer's second studio album, was released on December 7, 2012. The multi-platinum-certified album peaked as a chart-topper on the Billboard 200, Australian, Canadian, Swiss, and UK album charts.

Bruno Mars achieved critical acclaim with his third studio album, 24K Magic , which was released on November 18, 2016. The multi-platinum-certified album won several awards, including the Album of the Year award at the 2018 Grammy Awards .

The tour celebrates Mars’ latest chart-topping album of the same name and marks his first full-length tour since 2013’s hugely successful “Moonshine Jungle” that sold two million tickets worldwide across 155 sold-out dates.  The tour began in Antwerp, Belgium in March and has travelled throughout Europe and North America, visiting 45 cities across the US and Canada. Mars will play 17 arenas in Australia prior to kicking off his Southeast Asia dates.  One of the best-selling artists of all time, Mars recently dominated charts with the worldwide smash single, “Uptown Funk”, which won a number of honours, among them three 2016 Grammy Awards, including the coveted “Record of the Year” award. In addition, “Uptown Funk” companion video received the 2016 MTV Video Music Award for “Best Male Video.” Mars’ first ever show in Bangkok in 2014 sold out fast.
