What Happened to Bryan White?
If you remember the name Bryan White, you clearly were listening to '90s country music . The Lawton, Oklahoma native was raised by a musical family, encouraging young Bryan to learn musical instruments at a young age. His parents actually played in bands themselves. White played in his family's bands before deciding to pursue music himself.
When White first moved to Nashville , it wasn't a glamorous start. He sold t-shirts for the band Pearl River because his friend was the guitar player. The band would let him sing on stage occasionally and it was this connection that allowed him to meet record producers Billy Joe Walker, Jr. and Kyle Lehning, who landed him a record deal with Asylum Records in 1994. At the time, White was just 20 years old.
Bryan White was released in 1994 with debut single, "Eugene You Genius." Lehning and Walker actually helped produce the first album as well. While the first single didn't chart on the Billboard country charts, "Look at Me Now" charted, followed by No. 1 hits, "Someone Else's Star" and "Rebecca Lynn". These two No. 1 hits helped the album reach platinum status of over one million copies sold and are considered two of White's signature songs.
A couple of years later, White released his second album, Between Now and Forever. The country singer just continued to release hit after hit, skyrocketing to the top of the country music scene. Lead single, "I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore" reached No. 1 as did "So Much for Pretending."
The Right Place came out in 1997 with its most successful single, "Love Is the Right Place" reaching number 5 on the Billboard charts. The following year he even made an appearance on Shania Twain 's "From This Moment On." How Lucky I Am and Greatest Hits followed, with How Lucky I Am producing top 30 single, "God Gave Me You."

White's fourth album was not as successful on the country charts as his first three. The singer decided to take a break from music and didn't release another album until 2006 when he released the Christmas EP My Christmas Project. Sixteen years after its release, "God Gave Me You" became a massive hit in the Philippines. Maine Mendoza (known as Yaya Dub) and Alden Richards chose the song as the theme song for their variety show "Eat Bulaga." White even traveled to the Philippines and performed it in 2015.
White has not stopped recording or loving music. He still lives in Nashville, where he also works as a songwriter. His songs have been recorded by artists such as LeAnn Rimes , Joe Diffie and Sawyer Brown . Dustbowl Dreams was released in 2009 and he continues to tour. For updated tour dates, visit his website .
In his downtime, White can be found spending time with his family; wife Erika Page and their children, Justin and Jackson.

Grammy Winning Country Artist Bryan White Receives Platinum RIAA Certification
âIâm honored to be a part of such an amazing song and such an iconic record. Very grateful for the opportunity,” states White. To this day, he still recalls that memorable phone call. “I was 23 and asleep on the tour bus in Chicago and my tour manager woke me up early in the morning and said, ‘Mutt Lange and Shania Twain are on the phone.’ It was a really exciting call to get and they had a lot of energy. They said âWe have a song on the next project that we think you would be great on. I love your voice (Shania). You remind me a lot of Paul Carrack.â She asked me if Iâd be her duet partner and my response was ‘Absolutely, I’d love to do it. Tell me when to be there.â We sang it back-and-forth a little bit to make sure we found a good key to track it in. A few weeks later I met them in Lake Placid, NY and tracked vocals. They were so fun and so gracious. It was an experience I wonât ever forget.â
In July, the RIAA certified 300 Single Awards and 28 Album Awards. With this platinum RIAA certification that was just released, White continues to join the ranks of the most iconic beloved musicians, certifying over 1 million units. This duet, From This Moment On,  which was released in 1997, achieved considerable commercial success and quickly shot to the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. While the song still remains one of the most popular wedding songs in the world, it currently has over 47.7 million streams just on Spotify.Â

About Wade Hayes: Country music's power has always been in its ability to reflect real life, and few artists have a stronger gift for capturing both heartache and hope than Wade Hayes. In the past few years, the singer/songwriter has navigated a complicated journey that has produced some of the most potent songs of his already impressive career. Surviving stage IV colon cancer, not just once but twice, has given Hayes a unique perspective of the fragility of life and the strength of the human spirit. Those lessons learned are embodied in the songs on Go Live Your Life. Hayes was in his early 20s when he began churning out such enduring hits as "Old Enough to Know Better," "I'm Still Dancing with You," "On a Good Night" and "What I Meant to Say." A second generation country singer from Bethel Acres, Oklahoma, Hayes grew up watching his dad perform. The young guitarist's dream was to be the next Don Rich, Buck Owens' revered guitar player and one of country music's most legendary sidemen. "I was a big fan of Don Rich and I thought that's what I wanted to do," he recalls. "That's what I moved to Nashville for." Full Bio can be found here . About Bryan White: Bryan White is a CMA, ACM, and Grammy award-winning country music singer and songwriter. Throughout his prolific recording career, he’s charted 19 singles, including six No. 1’s. In 1998, White was voted one of People magazines “50 Most Beautiful People.” Currently, he hosts, “The Bryan White Podcast” and recently released a new single, “It Must Be Love.”
About Darryl Worley:
Born and raised in southern Tennessee by a Methodist minister and a church-choir mom he describes as a “prayer warrior,” Worley started his musical career at the FAME Studio in Muscle Shoals, under the tutelage of producer/publisher Rick Hall (Mac Davis, Jerry Reed), where he remained for a solid five years. He played clubs almost nightly, honing his stage craft at the same time he was woodshedding his songwriting skills, and as Worley gained confidence, he found his way to Nashville. There, he secured a recording deal in 1999 on the basis of some demo recordings that showcased his authoritative vocals and his understanding of the hard-working country audience.
“I’m a traditionalist,” he proclaims. “I came to Nashville because of mentors and heroes like Merle Haggard and George Jones. I’m sure people hear that until they’re blue in the face, but to me, it’s very true.”

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!

Your 48-hour tour guide of Moscow this winter!
9 am – Visit the Red Square
Christmas market on Red Square
The first thing that every tourist should do by default is visit the very heart of Moscow – it’s main and most beautiful (which ‘krasnaya’ actually meant in Old Russian) square!
There are several ways to explore it:
- Take a selfie with Spasskaya Tower
- Have a warm drink at the Christmas market (which lasts until mid-January)
- Visit Lenin’s Mausoleum
- Shop in the gorgeous adjacent GUM department store
- Visit St. Basil’s Cathedral (and learn that it’s actually several churches under one roof).
11 am – It’s Kremlin time!
Inside the Moscow Kremlin
Entering the Kremlin is, actually, a bit of a quest, as it’s a presidential facility with no general access. You need to buy a ticket or, better still, book a guided tour. Inside the Kremlin’s walls, you will find ancient cathedrals, in which Russian tsars used to be crowned and buried, as well as explore the magnificent architecture of the Kremlin that reflects the rich history of the country. And, finally, you could also make a quick visit to the Moscow Kremlin Museums and admire artifacts from various Russian tsarist eras: carriages, thrones, crowns and the most incredible armory and jewelry.
For more information, visit the official website of the Kremlin . It’s open from 10 am to 5 pm (and it’s closed on Thursdays) in winter.
2 pm – Watch the changing of the Guard
The honor guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
A very spectacular (and free) thing to do is watch how the honor guard does their ceremonial change at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Eternal Flame, situated in Alexander Garden, right next to the Kremlin wall. Every hour, from 8 am to 8 pm, the 1st Company of the Kremlin (Presidential) Regiment performs this rather old and beautiful tradition. But, be warned, it's often overcrowded.
3 pm – Enjoy a green oasis just in the center
Florarium in Zaryadye
Just a few steps from the Red Square, you will find the fabulous Zaryadye park. Opened in 2017, it is designed by renowned American architect bureau ‘Diller Scofidio + Renfro’. You can walk among the very cozy botanical decorations and explore Russia’s climate zones, as each of them is represented in dedicated areas, complete with flora from those zones.
The floating bridge in Zaryadye Park
The park also has an underground museum, an “ice cave” and a 3D cinema, where you can take part in a virtual adventure – a flight over Moscow! However, the piece de resistance is a floating boomerang bridge over the Moskva River, one of the best places to take a selfie.
You can also grab a quick lunch or relax with a cup of coffee or tea in the park.
7 pm – Arrange a ballet night
The Bolshoi Theater
Of course, the most fancy way to finish your day in Moscow would be to go to the ballet at the Bolshoi Theater (in a perfect world, to see ‘The Nutcracker’!). However, getting tickets to the Bolshoi is not an easy task and should be done well in advance of your visit.
But, don’t be upset if you don’t manage to get tickets to the Bolshoi. Moscow has dozens of other options to see a ballet (or opera). No less brilliant performances can be seen in the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theater or in The State Kremlin Palace (by the way, this is another way to get a quick glimpse inside the Kremlin!).
10:30 pm – Have a late dinner in a fancy restaurant
Dr Zhivago restaurant
There are not so many other cities with such a big choice of restaurants in a range of tastes and styles. In 2021, the authoritative Michelin guide announced their pick of the best of Moscow’s restaurants. And here’s our guide to all the places with Russian cuisine for any budget. But, if you happen to be in the area of the Bolshoi or Nemirovich-Danchenko Theater, then ‘Dr. Zhivago’ would definitely be a nice option (and it’s open around the clock).
DAY 2
9 am – grab a moscow coffee.
Winter festivities mood in Moscow
Moscow is definitely a coffee city! You can find coffee shops on every corner and they all offer a huge range of drinks. Try a ‘raf’ coffee, a sweet, creamy drink that was created in Russia, or dare to pick one of the very unusual offers, like cheese coffee or a Soviet candy style one (check out our coffee guide here ).
10 am – Take a river cruise
Winter boating along the Moskva River
Another exciting way to explore Moscow is to observe it from the water. Boats cruise along the Moskva River all year round. Most begin their route from the Hotel Ukraine, one of Stalin's ‘Seven Sister’ skyscrapers, and will bring you back to the same spot after passing the medieval Novodevichy Convent, Moscow State University and Luzhniki Stadium, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and giant monument to Peter the Great and many other sightseeings.
It’s always at optimum temperature inside the boat, which also has huge panoramic windows. Select boats also offer a full dining experience, so it is also a nice place to have breakfast or lunch.
If you are not a water person, then discover other, unusual sides of Moscow – pick one of the activities we’ve prepared for you here !
1 pm – Visit ‘Russia’ Expo and taste a bunch of Russian regional cuisines
Russia Expo at VDNKh
Until April 2024, the Soviet-era VDNKh exhibition park is hosting the huge ‘Russia’ expo, with tons of activities and expositions devoted to Russia, its culture, science and nature. Check out our special guide on what to do there!
An entire ‘House of Russian Cuisine’ has been opened at the expo. You will find 15 food stands with flagship dishes from Kamchatka, Siberia, Karelia and other regions of Russia. Imagine trying a range of cuisines and dishes in one place without even having to travel anywhere, be it Altai pelmeni, Tula kalach or Caucasian pies! A perfect place to grab some lunch.
House of Russian cuisines at VDNKh
The VDNKh exhibition park is a great place to visit, in general! Its pavilions are the perfect example of Stalinit Empire style architecture and you can almost feel as if you’ve traveled back in time! You will also find several interesting museums in the park – devoted to space exploration, Russian history and even a ‘Special Purpose Garage’, which showcases the various vehicles used by the country’s leaders.
'Sun of Moscow' wheel
And, finally, you can ride Europe's tallest panoramic wheel – ‘Sun of Moscow’ – that will give you panoramic views of the city – from a height of 140 meters!
5 pm – Ice skate with view & mulled wine
Ice skating rink on Red Square (GUM department store on the background)
Ice skating is one of the most popular and affordable activities in Moscow. There are several great ice skating rinks in picturesque locations that are open all winter long. One of the biggest rinks in Europe is also at the aforementioned VDNKh or you can visit the one in Gorky Park, another very popular Moscow spot, or the small, but fancy rink – right on Red Square!
All the parks offer ice skate rental, so the only things you need are warm clothes, a charged phone to record your memories and a good mood! Moscow also gets dark at 4:30 pm in winter and hundreds of lights are switched on, turning the city into a giant fairy tale!
A mulled wine with a view
And, if you are not a sports person, we’ve picked several other unusual activities that you could do in Moscow instead. For example, did you know that there is an entire district of dacha (countryside) houses, just 10 minutes from the center, surrounded by giant new highrises? How about taking a stroll there and feeling the early Soviet atmosphere?
8 pm – Warm up & laugh out loud
After all these outdoor activities, what could be better than a warm cozy bar with a hot drink and nice company? Moscow is a city full of entertainment for all tastes. So, if you know the Russian language or want to practice it, go to a theater or catch a stand-up comedy show. Moscow even has comedy shows in English, where you can hear both Russians speaking fluent English or foreigners (including Brits and Americans) who live in Russia speaking in broken or heavily-accented Russian (Check their show dates on the ‘ Moscow English Comedy ’ Telegram channel)!
11 pm – Finish by partying the night away!
Propaganda club in Moscow
Moscow never sleeps, as you might have heard. Which means there are plenty of bars and nightclubs where you can have a drink (or two or three; be sure to check out how Russians make Black Russian and White Russian cocktails) and chat with incredibly different people. Have fun and don’t miss your flight (or miss it and stay longer in the best city in the world!)!
That's it! See you soon in Moscow

Zach Bryan Unveils VIP âQuittin' Time Experience' for Fans to Meet Singer on Tour
If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission.
Zach Bryan is giving fans a chance to get up close and personal with the country star as part of his latest partnership with Bud Light .
Hot on the heels of Bud Light sponsoring the singer's " Quittin' Time Tour, " Bryan is teaming up with the beer brand for the "Bud Light Quittin' Time Tour Experience." Kicking off this May, the post-show hang will give fans a chance to meet Bryan on select remaining tour dates this year. Per Bud Light, "Country fans can shoot pool and crack open a cold one with Bryan himself" following his performances.
Bud Light says the experience is "a nod to Bryan's post-show ritual where he unwinds after shows with friends, a game of pool, and a Bud Light in hand." You can enter for a chance to meet Bryan here (note: fans must be 21+ at time of show).
The "Quittin' Time Tour Experience" is the latest activation between Bryan and Bud Light. In addition to sponsoring the tour (and VIP experience), Bud Light is donating a portion of proceeds from every draught sold during the tour to Folds of Honor, an organization that provides scholarships to families of fallen and disabled service members and first responders. Bryan has pledged to match the donation amount, and the singer will also meet with veterans and Folds of Honor scholarship winners at the "Quittin' Time" experience.
The military vet and new Grammy winner (for his Kacey Musgraves duet, "I Remember Everything") has called the partnership a "full circle" moment, noting in a recent press release that he's "been drinking Bud Light since I was old enough to drink." Adds Bryan, "When Bud Light asked if I would be involved, I didn't hesitate after I learned the immense amount of support going into Folds of Honor, fallen service members, first responders' families and loved ones. It is a privilege and honor to provide help in any way to veterans and all the people who make this country as great as it can possibly be."
"Music has always been in Bud Light's DNA," adds Todd Allen, VP of Marketing for Bud Light. "As the beer at the center of every great moment with friends, we've built a legacy over the past four decades of bringing fans closer to the artists they love. We've had a great time with Zach the last few months as the official beer sponsor of âThe Quittin' Time Tour' and couldn't be more excited to now deliver an intimate and personal experience with the âQuittin' Time Tour Experience' that connects him and his extremely passionate fanbase over some cold beers and easy hangs."

Bryan White Proves He Still Has 'Shine'
The album was quite personal and emotionally heavy, White says. More importantly, making âDustbowl Dreamsâ forced him to get back to his roots and pick himself up off the mat.
âIâm from Oklahoma and we donât give up. We forge on. We fight. That could be applied to anywhere or anybody, but to me, thatâs Oklahoma,â he says. âSo, I started making music based around that whole thought. And, yeah, it really did light a fire under me.â
That flame hasnât dimmed in the past five years. White will release his new album, âShine,â on June 10 (it can be pre-ordered on iTunes). âShineâ not only serves as a showcase of Whiteâs personality (as someone whoâs not perfect and is finding his own place in life, he describes), but also issues a shot to the naysayers who claim White doesnât have anything left in the tank. It all starts with the first single, âAnother Day in the Sun.â
âI know that in Nashville or L.A. or New York, you can become expendable. Theyâll tell you, âYouâre done.â I hear a lot of people in Nashville say, âYeah, heâs done. He hasnât had a hit single in years. Heâs done.â And that word, that phrase, makes me indignant,â White explains. âI just canât stand when people say that because thatâs just the industry talking. Thatâs just money talking. Thatâs somebody thatâs not thinking about someoneâs well-being or even the fact that theyâre a human being â that their life isnât wrapped up in a single or how well this does or that does.â
âTo me, youâre always one away from another big hit. I donât care if youâve gained 200 pounds or lost an arm or youâve been through depression. If you do something authentic and real and people connect to it, youâre never âdoneâ unless you think youâre âdone.ââ
With âShine,â White hopes to prove that heâs far from done. The albumâs other tracks boast their fair share of modern spunk, as well as some vintage White.
âAmenâ is a groovy, relatable rock anthem about how everyone needs a day off sometimes. The up-tempo âBorn to be Somebodyâ examines oneâs destiny and how itâs intertwined with overwhelming love. White describes the albumâs last track, âWhat I Already Know,â as raw, loose and powerful. He also gives fresh takes to âCall Me Crazyâ (from his 1997 album âThe Right Placeâ) and the song âAnother Manâs Shoesâ by Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors. The latter, he says, perfectly defined where feels heâs at in his life.
âI really stopped short of crying,â he says of the first time he heard that song. âIt was so inspiring, so fresh, and everything moved me so much. As soon as I got home, I wiped two or three days off my schedule and literally did nothing but track that song.â
âShineâ should bring White more attention than anything heâs done in the last 15 years, but heâs not waiting by idly for a mainstream resurgence. In fact, he doesnât care if it comes or not. White independently recorded and produced âShineâ thanks to the loyal support of his fans through an online Kickstarter campaign. Right now, heâs making the music he wants to make and doing it without the strenuous meddling of a major record label.
Whiteâs putting the rest of his focus on frequent touring and pleasing his fans. Heâll have a busy day on June 7 as he performs at a fan club party in Nashville that morning before flying to Missouri for a concert at the St. Jo Frontier Casino that evening.
âItâs going to be a whirlwind of a weekend,â he says with a laugh.
The dayâs events will start with a comedy and hypnosis show by B.J. Talley at 4 p.m., followed by a performance by local country artist Phil Vandel at 6:15. White will take the stage at 7 p.m. The concert is free, but guests must be 21 or older to attend.
White says heâll play all of his hits from the 1990s, as well as some of his newest material. Heâll be thankful for every soul in the crowd who wants to hear it.
âI canât get hung up on entitlement and thinking âWell, I had six No. 1 records,ââ White says. âI have to think of it as a great time that I had. It was a blast, donât get me wrong, but my eyes are fixed on whatâs ahead.â
Those asking where White has been should probably start asking where heâs going. The response to that question is much more interesting.
