Wonderful Boat with Delicious Food & Great Excursions

We were upgraded to the master suite of the boat and couldn't have had a better experience all around. The cabin was large, clean and stylish. The excursions were well organized & suitable for all experience levels of hiking & swimming. The staff were all kind & available throughout the trip. We couldn't have had a better experience all around!

The Galapagos lived up to all our expectations.

Everything from hotel pick up to airport transfer at the end of to cruise was very well organised. Boat needs a little more maintenance for a relatively young vessel. Anchor and rubber transfer boat both failed in the 10 days we were on the boat.

  • 10 Exceptional

Fabulous yacht, crew, itinerary and weather.

The incredible array of marine and land life that was seen on each and every outing.

Amazing once in a lifetime experience!

Getting upclose and personal with the wild life, swimming with sea lions, sea turtles and sharks were an amazing experience!

Amazing cruise on a very friendly ship - highly recommend

The incredible wildlife

Good value for money

The visit to Española island

Truly an experience of a lifetime

Oh boy, where do I start?! Snorkeling was definitely out of this world. We saw tons of sea turtles, sea lions, marine iguanas, quite a few penguins, several sharks and a couple of stingrays. I'm sure luckier groups have seen hammerheads and whales, but we're quite happy with the variety of sea life. The most fun part of snorkeling is swimming with these wonderful majestic creatures! Our Naturalist Guide, Hanzel, is truly the other highlight of this trip. I couldn't imagine a guide with more experiences in life - Navy Seal, Master Diver, Paratrooper, Story-teller. His presentations each night about Galapagos is nothing short of amazing. A 60-something that's as fit and passionate about the Galapagos as a 30-something. Count your fortunes if you get Hanzel as your guide.

A Wonderful way to explore the islands of the Galapagos

Being able to get so close to the birds and animal without seeming to bother them.

An amazing experience - fantastic crew and yacht

Travelling west to fernandina and isabela and visiting volcanic landscapes that took us back in time; the lush endemic wild and sea life; James who was the best guide - so knowledgable and passionate about Galapagos and conservation; Captain Oswaldo and crew who were top notch - ever efficient, unobtrusive and ever safe

We’re here to help, 24/7.

Grand Majestic Deals

A buffet

The 127-foot Grand Majestic expertly blends luxury and exploration. With eight staterooms for a total of 16 passengers, the ship is filled with chic décor and modern amenities that rival the natural beauty of the Galapagos Islands.

Life Aboard The Grand Majestic Yacht

Picture yourself soaking in a Jacuzzi with a cocktail in hand as you approach your next postcard-worthy stop. This type of relaxation will be yours from the moment you step aboard the Grand Majestic. Built in 2018, the ship offers a perfect mix of indoor and outdoor spaces so that you can be comfortable all day long. If you crave sunbathing, stargazing, or wildlife spotting, the sundeck, which is outfitted with comfortable lounge chairs, an alfresco dining area, and a bar, is the place to be.

The air-conditioned indoor lounge, complete with a large TV, library, and coffee station, is a quiet moment of respite. No matter where you spend your time, a crew of nine will pamper you with excellent service.

Excursions From Your Grand Majestic Galapagos Cruise

The Grand Majestic cruises four itineraries through the islands of the Galapagos. The four-day cruise features the southern islands and includes a stop at Post Office Bay on Floreana Island. You’ll also enjoy snorkeling at the volcanic crater at Devil’s Crown and hike at Gardner Bay, which is a breeding site for 12,000 pairs of waved albatrosses.

Opt for the five-day cruise and see giant tortoises at the Charles Darwin Station and watch sea lions frolic on Lobos Island. Once you see the Galapagos’ ecological paradise, you will never want to leave, so a more extended cruise is always an excellent choice.

The eight-day “A” cruise is a combination of the two shorter itineraries. However, the “B” cruise is a unique itinerary, focusing on Isabela, Santa Cruz, and Santiago Islands. At Targus Cove, a rare opportunity to snorkel with penguins is not to be missed. Hiking at Egas Port provides a chance to spot Galapagos lava lizards and playful fur seals. Black Turtle Cove, which is surrounded by mangroves, is accessible only by dinghy and is a haven for young wildlife, including baby hammerhead sharks, rays, and sea turtles.

You will experience two excursions each day guided by an expert naturalist guide who will answer all of your questions with local knowledge.

A Fast Ship For More Adventures

The Grand Majestic, which was modeled after American luxury yachts, tops out at 25-knot cruising speeds. Surprisingly quick for a ship cruising in the archipelago, the Grand Majestic motor yacht allows you to spend more time playing and less time traveling between islands. You’ll enjoy longer hikes, spend more time snorkeling, and enjoy smooth sails between islands.

The Grand Majestic, available for both pre-scheduled cruises and private charters, is ideal for small, sophisticated groups looking for an upscale way to experience the Galapagos Islands.

Itineraries & Prices

All itineraries are subject to change due to seasonal weather conditions (and resultant variations in river and tributary water levels) affecting accessibility to locations. Thus navigation routes, times and excursions may need to be modified at the cruise captain’s or your guide's discretion.

4 Day - Southern & Eastern Islands

itinerary map

Embarkation

AM:  You will arrive at San Cristobal Island in the morning. After passing through immigration and baggage claim, you will be met by the Grand Majestic staff and transferred to the yacht. You will be shown to your cabin where you will have some time to settle in before lunch and a welcome briefing.

PM:  In the afternoon we will head on to the Junco Lagoon, located about 700 m above sea level, which is one of the few permanent freshwater bodies in the Galapagos. Frigate birds are often seen here washing the salt from their feathers as well as white-cheeked pintails and common gallinules. Its name comes from a type of plant that is common in this area called “junco”.

Grand Majestic’s 4-Day Itinerary Day One - Frigate Bird Close Up.

Post Office Bay, Cormorant Point & Devil’s Crown

AM : In the 18th-century whalers passing through the islands placed a wooden barrel on Floreana Island for use as an unofficial mailbox. The tradition continues today as visitors leave addressed postcards in the barrel and sort through left mail to deliver at home.

PM : This site hosts a large flamingo lagoon where other birds such as common stilts and white-cheeked pintails can also be seen. The “Green Beach” here is named due to its green color, which comes from a high percentage of olivine crystals in the sand, and the “Four Sand Beach” composed of white coral.

You will have a chance to snorkel around Devil’s Crown which is the rocky remains of an offshore volcano sticking out of the water. This is a great location to spot a wide range of marine creatures.

Grand Majestic’s 4-Day Itinerary Day Two - Snorkelling with Turtles.

Suarez Point, Gardner Bay, Gardner Islet & Osborne Islet

AM : This area is great for spotting Blue-footed Boobies, albatrosses, and Nazca Boobies. A beautiful sight on the oceanfront, the large Waved Albatrosses use the cliff as a launching pad. The famous attraction is the magnificent blowhole, spurting water high into the air. This site presents wonderful photograph opportunities. Highlights include Hood Mockingbird, Nazca Boobies, Waved Albatross, Red-billed tropicbirds, lava lizards, Galapagos Hawk, blue-footed boobies, blowhole, and amazing landscapes.

PM : Gardner Bay, on the eastern side of the island, is the breeding site of nearly all of the world´s 12,000 pairs of Waved Albatrosses. Its white sandy beach is perfect for relaxing, with rocky shores making it a great place for diving and snorkeling. Highlights include a white sandy beach, sea lions, and mockingbirds. Snorkeling offers sights of colorful fish, and a sea lion nursery. After landing, you can walk across a lovely white sand beach amongst a busy sea lion colony or dive into the water to swim with sea lion pups. This small island is a marine visit where you can enjoy fantastic snorkeling and swimming. Highlights include a white sandy beach, sea lions, and mockingbirds.

Grand Majestic’s 4-Day Itinerary Day Three - Blue-Footed Boobies.

Disembarkation

AM:  Los Gemelos, or the Twin Craters, are located opposite each other on both sides of the road leading from Puerto Ayora to Baltra. The name is only figurative, not real craters. These formations were created by the collapse of surface material in underground fissures and chambers. The view is breathtaking.

After this final visit, you will be transferred to Baltra airport in time for your flight back to the mainland.

Grand Majestic’s 4-Day Itinerary Day Four - Disembarkation.

5 Day - Northern & Eastern Islands

itinerary map

AM:  You will arrive at Santa Cruz Island in the morning. After passing through immigration and baggage claim, you will be met by the Grand Majestic staff and transferred to the yacht. You will be shown to your cabin where you will have some time to settle in before lunch and a welcome briefing.

PM:  You will visit “Fausto Llerena” Giant Tortoises Breeding Center in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island, where giant tortoises are bred in captivity. This is home to tortoises ranging from 3-inches (new hatchlings) to 4-feet long adults. Subspecies of the giant tortoises interact with one another, and many of the older tortoises are accustomed to humans stretching out their heads for a photo opportunity. The babies are kept until they are about four-years-old and strong enough to survive on their own.

Grand Majestic’s 5-Day Itinerary Day One - Fausto Llerena Giant Tortoises Breeding Center.

Prince Phillip's Steps & Darwin Bay

AM : In the morning, you will visit El Barranco (also known as Prince Phillip's Steps). El Barranco’s steep, rocky paths lead up to a high cliff-face. A marvelous view can be appreciated from here. This site is also home to palo santo vegetation as well as red-footed boobies, short-eared lava owls, Galapagos swallows, and Galapagos doves.

PM:  In the afternoon, you will visit Darwin Bay. This white-sand coral beach heads a half-mile trail that winds through mangroves filled with land birds. Nazca boobies, red-footed boobies, and swallow-tailed gulls can be spotted here. Further down the path are tidal pools where sea lions swim playfully. At the end is a spectacular view off a cliff.

Grand Majestic’s 5-Day Itinerary Day Two - Sea Lion in the Sunset.

Rabida Island & Chinese Hat Islet

AM:  Rabida Island is one of the most colorful and volcanically varied islands in the archipelago as well as a perfect snorkeling site. Its famous maroon sandy beach and stunning lookouts provide wonderful landscapes. The island is a birdwatcher’s delight. Some of the rarest species are in abundance, such as nine varieties of finches, large-billed flycatchers, Galapagos hawks, and brown pelicans.

PM:  This small islet is located near the southeast coast of Santiago Island. Its name comes from the distinct shape of the islet’s summit. This small islet is a great location to view many geological formations such as lava tunnels and lava flows. Some of the lava flows were formed underwater and subsequently raised above sea level. The presence of coral heads on the lava flow indicates this phenomenon.

Grand Majestic’s 5-Day Itinerary Day Three - Chinese Hat Islet

Witch Hill & Lobos Island

AM: Located on the northern coast, this eroded hill and its surroundings present one of the most picturesque beaches in the Galapagos with its white powdery sand and the abundance of animals. Wildlife includes sea turtles, rays, and various types of booby birds. The clear water provides an excellent opportunity for enjoying swimming and snorkeling.

PM: In the afternoon we will visit Lobos Island. The name of this island means "Sea Lion Island." This appropriately named island is ripe with noisy, frolicking, jolly sea lions who will welcome you to their home with open, well, fins. This island also offers great snorkeling opportunities as well as the chance to see blue-footed and Nazca boobies.

Grand Majestic’s 5-Day Itinerary Day Four - Swimming Galapagos Sea Lions.

AM : The Gianni Arismendy Interpretation Center is part of an environmental project. The tour of this center will explore the natural history of the islands including human interaction and conservation efforts. The Museum of Natural History explains the volcanic origin of the archipelago, ocean currents, climate, and the arrival of endemic species.

After this final visit, you will be transferred to San Cristobal airport in time for your flight back to the mainland.

Grand Majestic’s 5-Day Itinerary Day Five - Disembarkation.

8 Day - Northern, Eastern & Southern Islands

AM : You will arrive at San Cristobal Island in the morning. After passing through immigration and baggage claim, you will be met by the Grand Majestic staff and transferred to the yacht. You will be shown to your cabin where you will have some time to settle in before lunch and a welcome briefing.

P M : In the afternoon we will head on to the Junco Lagoon, located about 700 m above sea level, which is one of the few permanent freshwater bodies in the Galapagos. Frigate birds are often seen here washing the salt from their feathers as well as white-cheeked pintails and common gallinules. Its name comes from a type of plant that is common in this area called “junco”.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day One - Couple on the Beach.

Twin Craters & Giant Tortoises Breeding Center

AM : Los Gemelos, or the Twin Craters, are located opposite each other on both sides of the road leading from Puerto Ayora to Baltra. The name is only figurative, not real craters. These formations were created by the collapse of surface material in underground fissures and chambers. The view is breathtaking.

PM : You will visit “Fausto Llerena” Giant Tortoises Breeding Center in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island, where giant tortoises are bred in captivity.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Four - Puerto Ayora Tortoises.

PM : In the afternoon, you will visit Darwin Bay.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Five - Red-Footed Boobies.

AM : Rabida Island is one of the most colorful and volcanically varied islands in the archipelago as well as a perfect snorkeling site. Its famous maroon sandy beach and stunning lookouts provide wonderful landscapes. The island is a birdwatcher’s delight. Some of the rarest species are in abundance, such as nine varieties of finches, large-billed flycatchers, Galapagos hawks, and brown pelicans.

PM : This small islet is located near the southeast coast of Santiago Island.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Six - Cruise to Rabida Island.

AM : Located on the northern coast, this eroded hill and its surroundings present one of the most picturesque beaches in the Galapagos with its white powdery sand and the abundance of animals. Wildlife includes sea turtles, rays, and various types of booby birds. The clear water provides an excellent opportunity for enjoying swimming and snorkeling.

PM : In the afternoon we will visit Lobos Island. The name of this island means "Sea Lion Island." This appropriately named island is ripe with noisy, frolicking, jolly sea lions who will welcome you to their home with open, well, fins. This island also offers great snorkeling opportunities as well as the chance to see blue-footed and Nazca boobies.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Seven - Galapagos Sea Lion lying on the shore.

8 Day - Northern, Eastern & Central Islands

itinerary map

AM : You will arrive at San Cristobal Island in the morning. After passing through immigration and baggage claim, you will be met by the Grand Majestic staff and transferred to the yacht. You will be shown to your cabin where you will have some time to settle in before lunch and a welcome briefing.

PM:  The   David Rodriguez Breeding Center “La Galapaguera”, in Cerro Colorado, is a new visitor site in the southeast part of San Cristobal Island and can now be reached in roughly one hour by road from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. On the trees and shrubs surrounding the site, you may see land birds like warblers, finches, and mockingbirds. Giant tortoises can be observed on these trails. They live there wild but in a protected area to ensure their survival by sealing them off from introduced predators like pigs and goats.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day One - David Rodriguez Breeding Center.

North Seymour Island & Black Turtle Cove

AM:  Galapagos sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and magnificent frigatebirds are abundant on North Seymour Island. The island was formed by a series of submarine lava containing layers of sediment that were uplifted by tectonic activity. The island is characterized by its arid vegetation zone.

PM:  In the afternoon, you will visit Black Turtle Cove. Black Turtle Cove is situated in the northern part of Santa Cruz. This inlet is surrounded by mangroves and is only accessible by dinghy. The shallow cove is a safe haven for young marine life. Black-tip and white-tip reef sharks, sea turtles, and a variety of rays are often spotted here.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Two - Couple at North Seymour Island.

Pinnacale Rock & Egas Port

AM:  Home of the famous Pinnacle Rock, Bartholomew consists of an extinct volcano with a variety of red, orange, black, and even green volcanic formations. A trail of stairs leads to the summit of the volcano, boasting one of the best views of the islands. The beach is perfect for snorkeling and possible sightings of the Galapagos penguin.

PM:  Also known as James Bay, Egas Port is home to the curious Galapagos hawks and quick-footed Galapagos lava lizards. The trail leads to a coastline with gorgeous tide pools and grottos full of fauna. Here the Galapagos fur sea lions bathe in the sun. This is also a great snorkeling site.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Three - Kicker Rock.

Tagus Cove & Urbina Bay

AM:  Tagus Cove is located across from Fernandina Island, near the Bolivar Channel, dividing the two islands. This spot has been frequented by ships since the 1800s when the area was utilized as an anchorage site. Trails winding by Lake Darwin up to a ridge display wonderful views. Punta Tortuga, just north of Tagus Cove, is another lovely beach surrounded by mangroves.

PM:  Urbina Bay is located at the base of Alcedo Volcano on the west coast between Tagus Cove and Elizabeth Bay. This area experienced a major uplift in 1954 causing the land to rise over 16 feet. The coast expanded half a mile out leaving marine life stranded on the new shore. This area is also a great place for snorkeling.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Four - Snorkelling with Turtles.

Espinosa Point & Vincente Roca Point

AM:  No foreign species have ever invaded Fernandina Island, and therefore it is one of the world's most pristine island ecosystems. The volcano “La Cumbre” dominates the land space with lava fields reaching the ocean. The island's highlight features the flightless cormorant nesting site. This area provides a great opportunity to see the Galapagos hawk.

PM:  Located on the northwestern coast of the island and comprised of two separate coves, this site is a large bay with spectacular sea life. Seahorses, sea turtles and fascinating sunfish may be spotted here. This bay is great for diving and snorkeling.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Five - Endemic Frigate Birds.

Espumilla & Sullivan Bay

AM:  In the morning, we will visit Buccaneer Cove. Buccaneer Cove is a testament to the fact that Santiago Island was once a refuge for British buccaneers. These pirates would anchor in the protected bay to make repairs and stock up on tortoise meat among other things. The steep cliffs, where hundreds of seabirds perch in front of the dark red sand beach, are a magnificent sight.

PM:  A coral beach landing leads you towards a lava field as far as the eye can see. Hunt and peck over the two distinguished types of lava, pahoehoe and 'a'a, for signs of plant life that have managed to emerge over the past 100 years since the most recent volcanic explosion. A truly amazing volcanic experience…up close and personal!

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Six - Blue-Footed Booby Birds.

Bachas Beach & Fausto Llerena Breeding Center

AM:  Located on the north shore of Santa Cruz, Las Bachas is a swimming beach. One of the few remnants of the U.S. World War II presence in the Galapagos, a floating pier, can be seen here. You may see flamingos, Sally Lightfoot crabs, hermit crabs, black-necked stilts, and whimbrels. Sea turtles also nest off the beach.

PM:  In the afternoon we will visit The Charles Darwin Research Station which is home to turtles ranging from 3-inches to 4-feet long! Subspecies of turtles interact with one another and many of the older turtles are accustomed to humans stretching out their heads for a photo opportunity. The babies are kept until they are about four years old and strong enough to survive on their own.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Seven - Endemic Sally-Lightfoot Crab.

AM : On our last morning we will visit Kicker Rock. This striking rock formation is located a couple of hours off the western shore of San Cristobal. Jutting out of the water, the rocks stand vertically at hundreds of feet above the ocean divided by a small channel. Although there are no landing areas, kayaking and scuba diving allow visitors to spot a variety of marine life.

Grand Majestic’s 8-Day Itinerary A Day Eight - Disembarkation.

Grand Majestic Galapagos Cruise

Grand Majestic Galápagos Cruise

This stunning megayacht is the fastest in the islands, a galápagos cruise on board the grand majestic.

What we love about the Grand Majestic

2018 Galápagos megayacht

Stunning cabins, including an opulent master suite

Luxury service and amenities

Excellent wildlife itineraries and experienced guides

Grand Majestic

Designed and built in the USA in 2018, Grand Majestic is being hailed as the first MegaYacht in the Galápagos fleet. Constructed to the same exacting specifications as the best private luxury yachts in the world, Grand Majestic also has another trick up her sleeve – at 25kts, she's the fastest vessel in the Galápagos cruise fleet. That means you can spend more time experiencing what the Galápagos has to offer and less time traveling between visitor sites. All this while enjoying the highest standards of luxury and service.

With only 8 cabins in total, there are superb levels of space, light and luxury. Most cabins features panoramic windows for unparalleled views of the islands. Each has been luxuriously decorated with designer fabrics and the highest quality fittings.

Stunning bathrooms, climate control, luxury linens and the finest toiletries are just a few of the amenities enjoyed by all cabins. The grand master suite boasts an enormous 400 square feet of space, and is the perfect choice for that very special "trip of a lifetime".

Communal spaces onboard are no less spectacular. Our favorite is the luxurious al fresco dining area up on the sundeck, offering absolutely stunning views as you enjoy the finest Ecuadorian and international cuisine and wines.

The main deck houses the indoor dining area, extensively stocked bar, and a wonderfully comfortable saloon area featuring a stunning communal leather sofa. This is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing drink before dinner after your day's adventures, or to listen to your naturalist guide brief you about the wonders in store for you on your next excursion.

Another standout feature is the large jacuzzi hot tub on the sundeck. It's a remarkable place to enjoy the equatorial night sky as the stars come out on a warm evening.

If you would like to charter Grand Majestic for your own private use, we are able to facilitate this. Please speak to one of our Galápagos experts, and we can arrange this VIP service on your behalf.

Grand Majestic is operated by Galápagos veterans, and they have put all their skills and experience to use in designing superb itineraries that allow you to see almost everything the Galápagos has to offer.

As well as standout 8-day cruises, Grand Majestic can also cater for those with less time available in the Galápagos but who still wish to see as much as possible. Special 4- and 5-day itineraries are available.

Excursions include wet and dry landings at some of the most stunning spots in the islands, as well as plenty of opportunity for snorkeling with exotic creatures like marine iguanas, Galápagos sharks and the friendly Galápagos Sea Lions. Of course, top of the range snorkeling equipment is available for you on a complimentary basis.

Her bilingual naturalist guides are the among the best in the Galápagos, and they will enhance your visit with their in-depth knowledge of the islands' flora and fauna, as well as their expertise in locating the iconic species that can't be found anywhere else.

With her speed, Grand Majestic allows you to enjoy more "contact time" with the Galápagos than any other vessel in the fleet. The fact that this speed is accompanied by standards of luxury never before seen in a boat of this type means that a Galápagos cruise on the Grand Majestic is an experience you will always remember. We have been working with the operator of this ship for many years, and we know they have poured heart and soul into Grand Majestic to bring you the best Galápagos cruise you can experience.

Food & Drinks on board the Grand Majestic

The food on our Galapágos Cruises is among the very best you will find in South America. Most of the on-board chefs are internationally trained and have prior experience working in the best hotels and restaurants in Ecuador and indeed around the world.

You can expect a first-class selection of food, including a good variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, locally sourced poultry and fish/seafood, rice and pasta dishes. Most boats will always include some typical Ecuadorian dishes on the menu during your cruise. If you have specific dietary requirements then these can usually be accommodated by the chef providing you have given advance notice. Please make sure you tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements you have at the time you book with us. If you leave it until you arrive at the dockside, then it may well be impossible to accommodate your needs.

Most boats serve a range of options at meal times in a relaxed buffet-style. At the first class and luxury end of the market, some boats have more formal dining where you will be served at your seat. However the atmosphere is always relaxed on board our cruises, and never stuffy or formal.

At Galapatours we love and respect the pristine ecosystems and fascinating wildlife of the Galápagos Islands. To protect the archipelago, all vessels in Galápagos must have sophisticated water filtration systems, modern, efficient engines, and strict maintenance schedules to minimize pollution. Furthermore, The Galápagos National Park authority defines exact cruising routes that dictate which ships can visit which highlights at what day and time, as well as limiting passenger numbers.

But at Galapatours we like to go even further: We voluntarily offset all the CO2 emissions of every cruise we sell - at no cost to you. You can also play your part by traveling responsibly and following our Eco Guidelines during your stay. Click here to find out more about these guidelines, our commitment to sustainable tourism, and the Galápagos National Park rules.

Grand Majestic Galapagos Cruise

The trip was beyond magical! The snorkeling near Chinese hat and also the beach walk at the Lobos island was breathtaking. What a trip! It was very well planned with quality snacks and meals provided throughout.

Vielen Dank übrigens für die Buchung.... usw. Es hat alles hervorragend geklappt!!. Es war wundervoll!!

TRIP OF A LIFETIME We just returned from a 5-day cruise aboard the Grand Majestic, which we booked through Galapatours, and I can't even give it a high enough rating! If I could give higher than 5 stars I would! I was extremely pleased with the guidance we received from Thomas Richmond, who was very thorough and prompt answering my many questions at every step of the trip. It seemed like no matter what time of day I reached out, he responded within the hour. I know it's tricky business traveling during a pandemic, but let me say, this seems to be THE BEST TIME to go to the Galapagos... with hardly anyone else there. It was a magical experience for us... most of the places we went, we were the ONLY ship there. LOVED the size of our cruise... just 14 passengers on the Grand Majestic. PERFECT SIZE!!! The crew on the ship was remarkable... some of the hardest-working crew I've ever seen! The cruise was as luxurious as they promised... for example, you'd come back from snorkeling, step foot on the boat and they'd peel your wetsuit off of you, rinse your feet, hand you a towel and a hot chocolate and invite you up on deck for fresh-cooked snacks and fruit. INCREDIBLE FOOD, GORGEOUS ship (do you know you have a FULL-SIZE WALK IN SHOWER in your room? With a giant window so you can watch the scenery go by while you shower? DIVINE!). I truly cannot recommend this tour company or the Grand Majestic enough. We are so happy we decided to go and I will say that EVERYONE we encountered in the Galapagos and mainland Ecuador was THRILLED to have our business. We booked a 3 night cruise on the Grand Majestic which was just wonderful! Mr. Thomas Richmond helped us with the entire booking process and answered all of our questions that we had before the trip. The boat was extremely comfortable, the staff were very kind, especially Mayra and Salomão! The food was wonderful, everything was always fresh and very tasty. Every day we had activities in the morning and in the afternoon, always accompanied by our guide Gustavo, who had a vast knowledge of the islands, fauna and flora of the region. We started our trip in San Cristobal, went to Floreana, Española and ended the trip in Santa Cruz. Our days at the Grand Majestic were fantastic, and we will definitely return to the Galápagos one day to visit other islands.

Grand and Majestic Galapagos From July 11 through July 22, 2019, my wife and I sailed aboard the Grand Majestic in the Galapagos Islands. We booked this trip through Galapatours and their agent, Thomas Richmond. In booking our trip, Mr. Richmond answered all of our questions and made sure our flights from Quito to Baltra and our return from San Cristobal to Quito were properly and timely booked. He made certain that we aware of the things we needed to do in preparation at our end. Someone met us at the Quito airport to help us through the check-in process and two people met us at Baltra to get us through the entry process onto the Galapagos and to our boat. The trip was aboard an eight cabin, 16 guest yacht that was almost brand new. The crew was always there to make sure we were safe and comfortable and got to see and do as much as possible. The food was excellent with numerous choices at every meal. It is hard to say whether the best part of the trip were our multiple snorkeling adventures (where we saw and swam with sea turtles, marine iguanas, sea lions, multiple tropical fish, rays, star fish) or the information we received from our extremely knowledgeable naturalists (Gabi and James) on our many guided walks. We cannot recommend Galapatours, Mr. Richmond or The Grand Majestic any more highly. It was a great trip.

service from organization to implementation was impeccable, excellent! We finally had our cruise to Galapagos Island in July 2019 for 1 week. Organization by Galapatours (Andino Garcin) , and implementation by the crew of the Grand Majestic cruise (own by RoyalGalapagos) was simply impeccable, excellent! Andino was very supportive, patient and friendly, you won’t be disappointed with his service. The cruise 9 crew members + the guide were fantastic, smiling and friendly all the time. Food and service was excellent as well as the room service. I highly recommend the 2 companies.

infinity

The luxury yacht constructed in 2018 is a testament to the pinnacle of purpose-built vessels, with its modern design and luxurious features making it the epitome of sophistication. Infinity has been crafted to offer unparalleled luxury while being environmentally friendly, and to provide a safe and secure experience for guests throughout their journey. It has been designed to exceed international maritime safety standards and offer opulent accommodations that perfectly complement the stunning views from the private balconies. One of the unique aspects of Infinity is its impressive capacity, which can accommodate up to 20 passengers. This is unusual for Galápagos vessels, as most are limited to 16 guests due to the maximum number of people that can accompany a Galápagos naturalist guide inside the National Park. Infinity has redefined the rule book by offering two naturalist guides, resulting in a more intimate and personalized experience with a smaller group of only 10 guests. This allows for a closer encounter with the remarkable Galápagos creatures and ample time to learn about the fascinating islands from the bilingual guides. In addition to kayaks and snorkeling gear, Infinity also features pangas and other facilities to enhance your enjoyment on board. The yacht offers a range of itineraries, including 8-, 5-, and 4-day options that visit some of the more remote islands that other cruise vessels may not, such as the incredible [Genovesa](//galapatours.com/destinations/genovesa "Galápagos Genovesa Island") and [Fernandina](//galapatours.com/destinations/fernandina "Fernandina Galápagos Island"). The yacht has been designed to offer ample space for socializing, fine dining, and relaxing with a cocktail, making for a truly special and unforgettable experience. The vessel boasts inside and al fresco dining, an al fresco bar, and a sun deck with breathtaking views and a jacuzzi. The cabins on Infinity are designed to provide a truly luxurious experience, with panoramic windows leading to private balconies and private en suite bathrooms that are beautifully finished. All rooms feature flat screen TVs, and there are two suites available that offer a spacious living room area and floor-to-ceiling glass panels leading to large private balconies. Fine dining on Infinity is a true luxury experience, with some of the best South American and Old World wines, a wide range of premium drinks, and complimentary filtered water, soft drinks, tea, and coffee available at any time. Food on board is restaurant quality, and guests can enjoy sumptuous meals in the spacious dining area or a relaxed lunch or barbecue on the al fresco dining porch. Infinity is equipped with the latest technology and safety features, making it one of the most comfortable and luxurious vessels in the Galápagos. This remarkable ship is perfect for those seeking an intimate exploration of the wonders of the Galápagos Islands in unparalleled style and luxury, and it is certain to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will be treasured forever.

Evolution Galapagos Cruise

- The most charming mega Yacht - Fantastic ambiance and luxury - Superb naturalist itineraries - Great extras like "glass bottom" kayaks! The Motor Vessel Evolution is, in our opinion, the most charming yacht in the Galápagos fleet. At almost 200 feet long, she is definitely a "mega yacht", and yet she has been designed to evoke the heyday of the luxury steamers - the 1920s and 1930s. Despite her vintage looks, she's actually a cutting edge vessel, designed and built in Japan in 2005 to the latest in marine safety and technology standards. Timeless elegance Your Evolution experience starts with her breathtaking decor. Sumptuous, vintage, and elegant are just of the ways we would describe it. Accommodation is across 9 premium staterooms, 4 deluxe staterooms, and 3 master suites. Cabins are simply wonderful, with stunning wood finishes and light and airy color schemes. Suites feature ocean-view windows, and other staterooms feature large traditional portholes - a truly nautical flavor! All cabins have wonderful en suite luxury bathrooms, independent air conditioning, internal telephones and plenty of storage (including personal safe). Communal areas on board are no less delightful. At the ships bow is a traditional teak-planked sundeck with a huge Jacuzzi pool - the perfect place to soak up the sun or to admire the stars. The Evolution features both internal and Al Fresco dining areas, with attention paid to every detail. For relaxing in the evening, you may choose to unwind with a drink in the inside saloon with its comfortable chairs and communal sofa, or perhaps make your way to the delightful Al Fresco lounge at the stern, with its extremely well stocked bar. Your barman has designed his own Evolution signature cocktail which we can highly recommend! Fine dining and fine service Food on board is a highlight of the Evolution experience. Breakfast and lunch are served as a relaxed buffet, with plentiful choice and a wide range of flavors to explore. Dinners are still relaxed, but are served fine dining style at tables either in the inside or Al Fresco dining areas. The chefs on board all have international hotel experience and benefit from a particularly well equipped galley, allowing them to prepare some amazing Ecuadorian and international specialties that will delight you. With only 32 guests and 18 crew to look after them, you will enjoy one of the best guest-to-staff ratios in the Galápagos fleet. Everything you need will be taken care of with skill and a warm smile. For guests who require specific assistance with disabilities or dietary requirements, just speak to one of our Galápagos experts and we will ensure that Evolution's team will give you the perfect adventure. An unrivalled wildlife experience Despite her size, the Evolution only caters for a maximum of 32 guests, and this means that she carries 2 naturalist guides. You will enjoy a decidedly intimate naturalist experience in groups of only 16. The Evolution recruits only the finest National Park approved bilingual guides, and they are a major part of the reason why your Evolution adventure will be so memorable. Two superb week-long itineraries are available. One departs from Baltra and discovers the western islands, the other leaves from San Cristobal and concentrates on the east. Both are superb and receive consistently high reviews from our travelers. They have been designed to give you the best flavor of Galápagos and the most intimate encounters with the iconic species. As well as a large variety of land excursions you will also enjoy snorkeling, swimming, and kayaking in the amazing "glass bottom" kayaks that Evolution carries. Masks, snorkels and fins are available free of charge to guests, and complimentary wetsuits are also available if required. Our comments This mega yacht is stunning. We love the "Roaring 20s" ambiance, mixed with the very latest in amenities and service, all wrapped up in a Japanese-built vessel that's less than 15 years old... the perfect combination! Our guests love the huge Jacuzzi on the sun deck, and we love the food on Evolution Galápagos - the chefs are remarkable. If you've never tried a glass-bottom kayak before you will be amazed (and don't worry, it's not actually glass, but acrylic!), and the guides on board really are among the best in the islands. A trip on the Evolution is a stunning way to see the Galápagos in fantastic style.
