The wildly incompetent woman at the register does not know how to sell me diesel. That's her entire point of being there is to sell diesel and she doesn't know how to do it. Waste of time and space.

I've come to this truck stop for gas and food many times over the years. They have all the basic things you expect from a gas station, decent bathrooms, and I believe evem showers for the truckers. They sell their own brand of pizza, which is actually not bad. I'd even argue it's better than the pizza at Casey's General Store. If gas station food isn't your jam, there is a Wendy's attached. They used to be called Flying Jay, but changed the name to Pilot maybe a little less than 10 years ago. I think Flying Jay Truck Stops still exist but Pilot is owned by the same company. I only say it still exists because the pizza boxs say both names on the box. I will also say, they do tend to have fairly clean bathrooms and the staff has never been rude. I also like that they sell dvds here, as it's where I bought the bulk of my Criminal Minds dvds.

Women's rest room is absolutely horrific. Maybe the most filthy bathroom I've ever been in. Coffee area? No creamer whatsoever, all of the premade iced coffee coolers were empty, one iced coffee machine to make over ice was out of order, and everything is FILTHY. Definitely not "sanitized" like the sticker says. The containers holding the sugars and (zero) creamers are filllled with dirt and crumbs. Most of the shelves for snacks were also totally empty. I know they're open all day and therefore have customers all day which is hard to keep up with but holy cow I can't believe this store. What a mess. Also Everything is super expensive and over priced.

Located right off of westbound I-94, it is one of the least expensive gas stations in the area in Michigan before heading into Indiana. What we don't like about this location is that it forces us to guesstimate the fuel quantity needed and make a prepayment. It is annoying not being able to get the exact quantity (fill up), pay the exact dollar amount owed, and be back on the road. This gas station's system makes its clients waste time. We prepaid $40; the actual bill was for $31.70, with $8.30 credit back on the credit card. I do like the toilet seat covers provided. A big plus!

Photo of Howard L.

Completely awful place! There's a constant 20 minute wait between the trucks and cars getting in and out to even access the gas pumps. The wait was completely unbeatable. This parking lot is completely full of trash, the forest is all littered. This place definite isn't worth your time.

Photo of Shellie J.

Worst workers ever. Rude, disrespectful. Waited in line while the workers gossiped about a customer! I got a small ice tea and it was mostly water. They need a manager! Could be a great place!

Photo of Ike I.

Customer service was nice, facility is well kept and clean and the fruits are good and fresh Especially if you get them early in the morning, fuel line can be over crowded at times

The women' bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Staffed with friendly, helpful employees. The Pilot has a wide range of food and other items that are available for purchase. The gas prices are excellent. The showers are $12. The shower room was clean, private (secured by a code and deadbolt) and contained a washcloth, floor towel and regular towel. The shower room has a fan, toilet and elevated tiled bench and multiple hooks. The shower pressure and heat level are excellent. My only complaints would be that the shower refused to shut off and the stall soap dispenser was empty.

Photo of Rebecca H.

If you have an RV or trailer this is not a good gas station for you. Not enough room. Diesels may be okay but regular gas,, no room!

Photo of Carenda H.

The gas pumps won't stay on when you flip the tab on the gas pump handle to make the nozzle fill by itself it goes back to the original position every 2-3 gallons I had NO gas, so that was very annoying when I needed 16 gallons. This isn't the 80s I shouldn't have to stand and watch the pump pump! I won't be returning.

MDHHS launches pilot Travel Points Testing at Michigan Welcome Centers and airports

April 22, 2021 -- In an attempt to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), in partnership with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and select Michigan airports, are piloting a Travel Points Testing program this spring - bringing antigen COVID-19 testing to locations with high volumes of travel.

Quick and cost-free testing will be offered at several Michigan Welcome Centers and airports throughout the state, with results available in as little as 15 minutes. Walk-ups are taken as space allows, and an option to register online via a mobile device will also be available.

"As we head into the summer with vaccines ramping up and a light at the end of the tunnel, I am so proud of this partnership between MDOT and MDHHS to keep Michiganders safe," said Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. "I encourage all Michiganders to continue masking up, socially distancing and hand washing to slow the spread, and if you re-enter or travel across the state, get tested at one of the new sites being set up at key points. Finally, I encourage you to get vaccinated, which is the most effective way to keep you and your family safe and put this pandemic behind us."

"We are excited to provide space at our select Welcome Centers for immediate COVID-19 testing," said State Transportation Director Paul C. Ajegba. "Our Welcome Centers are a gateway to thousands of travelers coming into the state each day, making them ideal locations to help prevent the spread of this horrible virus. Just look out for the COVID testing signs before the appropriate centers along the freeways."

Insurance is not required, and results can be obtained via text, e-mail or uploaded to the traveler's patient portal.

"We are pleased to partner with MDOT and offer simple, quick COVID-19 testing for Michiganders and travelers to Michigan," said Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, chief medical executive and chief deputy for health at the MDHHS. "With growing concerns of new, more contagious variants, testing for COVID-19 is more important than ever. If you are engaging in any travel, we encourage you to take advantage of this testing when you re-enter or travel across the state."

Testing trailers will be located on the grounds of Michigan Welcome Centers. Testing stations will be located at multiple locations inside Michigan airports.

Welcome Centers (open daily Monday-Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.):

  • Dundee Welcome Center (Monroe County):  Northbound US-23 Mile Marker 8 , Petersburg. Open starting April 23.
  • Monroe Welcome Center (Monroe County): Northbound I-75 Mile Marker 10 . Open starting April 23.
  • Cherry Capital Airport (TVC), 727 Fly Don't Dr., Traverse City . Opened Wednesday, April 7. Hours: Wednesdays 2-10 p.m., Fridays noon-8 p.m., and Sundays 3-11 p.m.

"Testing sites are widely available at MDOT Welcome Centers and airports for the convenience of the traveler, and we have created resources for travelers to journey safely. To learn more about the Pure Michigan Pledge and to view resources, visit our state travel office website ," said Larisa Draves, executive director, Michigan Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus.

Additional sites will be announced as they are confirmed.
