Amazing trips and well organized

Really nice company! Well organized before hand in a way we had easy going contact about our wishes and their proposals. It was fully designed to our wishes. We received a picture from our driver and while at the airport after arriving he was waiting for us. All went smooth during the days. From the pick up time till the moment we got dropped off at the hotel. We saw beautiful spots and its was very relaxing to have everything prepared and organized beforehand! Definitely worth to fix your trip!

Our trip through Sri Lanka

We enjoyed the trip through Sri Lanka very much. We had a fantastic driver/guide with a very cheerful and positive attitude that contributed a lot to it. It was amazing how much interesting information he always had to share with us about history, politics, religion and customs, plants, animals, food - a lot of different things. Last but not least, his always calm and very safe way to drive let us feel comfortable and relaxed all the time. We will have very good memories to these holidays and for sure recommend Shanti Travel.

Beautiful trip to Rajastan India

Trip through South India

Wonderful visit to India

This was an excellent experience in Delhi, Jaipur, Bharatphur and Agra at all levels: planning, accommodation, guides, travel. I was particularly impressed with Rajendra (tour arranger) and Santosh (driver). Rajendra was very helpful in last minute changes and in meeting my specific needs as I am studying specific things that I needed to see during myvisit. Santosh was wonderful to talk to in journeys about life in modern India. Very impressed overall. One last thing, when I changed plans at the last minute I was asked to confirm my new hotel arrangement to ensure head office in Paris aware of my whereabouts. This was very reassuring to my family as I was travelling alone. Great.

Karnataka tour …

Rajendra from Shanti Travel has organised for me several trips in India so we have been working together for several years now and I have always been very happy with the tours he organised for us . Rajendra is very professional and understands very well the needs I have in organising my groups in India . Greatest way to travel to a new place!!

I recently traveled to Indonesia (Bali, Gili Air, Nusa Penida, and Lombok) with 3 adult family members. We had never traveled to the area and weren’t sure how to get the most stress free travel while seeing the best of what the areas had to offer. Laura at Shanti was amazing, flexible, and on top of everything! Everything from our local drivers, island boat transports, excursions, and accommodations were exactly what we wanted and loved! We even had the chance to meet her at our first stop in Canguu.

It was a nice trip

It was a nice trip! Our driver Chandra was really nice and professional! He was the best, we really liked him! The hotels chosen were nice and most of the guides were good too. We specially like the guide in Udaipur, i don’t remember his name but he had a perfect french and the guide Revad Mal in Jaipur was also very good!

Tour very well organized from New Delhi, Rajasthan, Agra, ending in New Delhi (18 days). We had a wonderful family trip to India (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur) organized by Shanti travel. From the very beginning Waseem Raja was helping us with the preparation of the trip. We had very good communication and I am extremely grateful. He also helped us with some last minute changes we had to solve because of unexpected flight changes. Excellent family trip in Bali

We did a family trip to Bali in April 2023. This trip was organized by Shanti Travel, who from start to finish delivered an outstanding service. The initial trip organisation was well coordinated, with several options suiting our preferences. The trip itself was perfectly organized so that we could fully enjoy our holidays with zero stress. There was an issue with one of the hotel, which Shanti Travel was very prompt in resolving, proposing a solution which was excellent. Special thanks to Marion who organized the trip, and to Mathilde who ensured everything was running smoothly. Their driver Gusti was extremely kind and accommodating. Pays a decouvrir

Bien dans l'ensemble mais ils devraient juste evite de travailler avec certaines personnes comme Deen. En effet, ils nous avaient conseillé une chambre d'hôte à la place d'un hotel (Deen's ou Monisha Villa à Bandarawella). Les chambres étaient annoncées comme simple certes, mais spacieuses, climatisées , confortables, propres et avec moustiquaires. Résultat des courses, chambres minuscules sans moustiquaires, sales; sans climatisation et remplie de cafards. Nous avons décidé d'annuler le cours de cuisine car nous étions écoeuré du comportement du propriétaire. A priori, ils avaient trop de monde et nous ont refilé une chambre de driver. Heureusement, Sarah de Shanti a fait en dorte que nous soyons rembourse. Merci a elle :) Le reste du sejour était bien en grande partie grace à notre super chauffeur. Good overall but they should just avoid working with certain people like Deen. Indeed, they had recommended a guesthouse instead of a hotel (Deen's or Monisha Villa in Bandarawella). The rooms were advertised as simple, but spacious, air-conditioned, comfortable, clean and with mosquito nets. Result of the races, tiny rooms without mosquito nets, dirty; without air conditioning and filled with cockroaches. We decided to cancel the cooking class because we were sick of the behavior of the owner. A priori, they were too busy and gave us a driver's room. Fortunately, Sarah from Shanti made sure we were reimbursed. Thanks to her :) The rest of the stay was good in large part thanks to our great driver.

The price of your bus trip will depend both on the destination and the class of your ticket. The main accommodation was travelling…

The main accommodation was travelling through the trip; everyday my parents got to explore a new city; which meant lot of time on road. My father had problem with walking longer distance which was accommodated by providing wheel chair assistance along with personal assistance. All of it was taken care at a reasonable price and spectacular service. I have had few previous trips and look forward to more in future.

First class personal service from the team at Shanti Travel. Our trip was amazing! We booked a Boys trip to Bangkok. The whole package from start to finish!

From planning my trip to checking that arrived home safely Laura made sure everything was exactly as I hoped. She planned a full week of lovely adventures and made sure I was greeted promptly wherever I traveled. She checked on me regularly and even more when I got a little Bali Belly. She assigned Made as my driver/tour guide. He always kept me informed and gave me options. I loved every minute of my vacation and will be bringing my mom and son back with me next time. Best experience I ever had!

I don't even know where to start.... I joined a tour group in Rajasthan for 11 days supervised by Shanti travel and that was one of the best experience in my life! From the beginning, it was all about these small details that make a difference. I can't write this review without a word about our guide, Prahlad. He is juste the best guide you can wish for! What can I say? He is friendly, fun, will always safety as a priority. He is so passionate and will tell you all about India and its culture. Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful experience with Ashvin at Shanti Travel who organised an unforgettable 2 week trip in Rajasthan for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids age 8-14). Ashvin understood right away the kind of trip we were after - a cultural trip with activities to keep the kids engaged throughout the tour ! Our drivers (Ashok, Vicky) were amazing - friendly, punctual. super knowledgeable and very skilled at navigating India’s crazy roads. The hotels selected by Ashvin were all excellent. What we probably loved the most were the activities Ashvin carefully curated for us: bike tour, cooking class, street food tour, desert experience, leopard sighting safari! Organisation was seamless - we kept in touch with Ashvin via whatsapp throughout the trip, which was very reassuring. We highly recommend Ashvin and his team for an unforgettable stress-free holiday!

Highly recommended

We are so glad that we chose Shanti Travel to organise our 28-day travel around north India. From the very beginning, Waseem helped us with advice in designing our itinerary and choice of hotels and activities. There were numerous highlights of this trip including: Our excellent driver (Amrik Singh) who was such a considerate driver looking after our comfort and interests all the time. We were so sorry when our tour finished to say our goodbyes. We knew what to expect in some of the Rajasthani cities which we had previously visited (and relished our visits there), but we were enchanted with several new places for us (especially Rishikesh and Dharmshala). The hotels recommended to us in these cities were ideally located for us to walk about the main sites. Another highlight for us were the stays in some of the smaller, out-of-the-way places in between the main cities visited. Being in remoter regions, our travel through the Indian countryside and small villages was memorable. Our driver, Amrik, got to know what we liked to take photographs of and even started to stop for us when he noticed something that would interest us! All the places where we had a daily guide planned helped in our appreciation of the history, architecture and culture of the place. Highlights for us were the excellent day-guides in Rishikesh (Tussah), Jaisalmer (Vishal) and Udaipur (Miteah). We always felt secure that we could rely on Waseem to keep us updated on our progress and next-day plans. He was very efficient in sorting out a minor problem we had with the booked hotel in Jaisalmer and relocated us within an hour to a great hotel up within the main fort complex. We thoroughly enjoyed the jeep safari trips which were organised for us and we can highly recommend the ones we had to anyone who does not mind a ‘bumpy’ jeep ride into desert or wildlife-spotting areas like in Jaisalmer. All in all, we had a wonderful time and we are very happy to highly recommend Shanti Travel for organising bespoke tours to match visitor’s interests. For long car journeys between far apart cities, the intermediate places (and hotels suggested by Shanti Travel for us to stay were just perfect. The flexibility of having a car and excellent driver meant we thoroughly enjoyed seeing varying countryside and stopping in interesting places whenever we liked. It might be useful to point out that the only car journey which was disappointing was the road between Delhi and Jaipur (pretty built-up and industrial most of the way during quite a long journey) – perhaps a short stop between these cities would be a better recommendation. Overall we will be happy to have another trip organised by Shanti Travel.

I don’t even know where to start

I don’t even know where to start ? everything was amazing, we’ve seen so much and learn so much, I will never forget this 11 Days in India , and that will not be possible without our 5 stars guide Prahlad , who despite that he had to manage a group of 12 women , he was available for each and everyone of us and make sure that everybody live an incredible experience , the day Prahlad knew it was my birthday, he organised a birthaday party with the locals , It was my first surprise birthday party and in India what can I say except thank you , a good guide can make a huge difference on a trip to a foreign country thank you Prahlad for your genorisity, thank you for your kindness and for you passion ( he said it himself it’s not my job it’s my passion )

Good but room for improvement

a) Nepal: Hôtels good. Too much free time. On one occasion, taxi was not on time at the hôtel to drive us to the airport. Driver for trip through Nepal very good, car type could be improved ... Stay at Chitwan super. Waited 2-3 hours after arrival in the early afternoon at Pokhara before meeting the local guide. b) Bhoutan All hôtels okay. Guide and driver very good.

Description

• The Sales Manager plays a key role in the success and failure of the organization. He/she is the one who plays a pivotal role in:
• -achieving the country sales targets on behalf of Shanti Travel,
• -staffing and directing sales support staff (mainly French people),
• -providing a leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with Shanti Travel vision and values,
• -advising Shanti Travel India Office and eventually Shanti Travel Group about sales performance.

The position requires the person to operate from New Delhi (India) and involves several travel to meet Shanti Travel group employees across Asia.

ESSENTIAL, DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

( Other duties may be assigned )

• Establish sales objectives by developing annual sales.
• Monitor & achieve monthly/ weekly sales targets.
• Implement India sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
• Maintain and improve sales volume, selling price, pax travelled, conversion rate.
• Accomplish daily enquiries distribution to the staff in terms of quality, markets, delay...
• Fill up all the required tools such as FIT GIT, CRM… according to daily enquiries, bookings, updates and new information.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and represent the customer service.
• Check each Travel Experts booking follow up.
• Monitor randomly envelopes, Ops IT, and programs.
• Co-approve scripts (sectors) with the General Manager if it is necessary in order to communicate well with the customers.
• Handle customers’ complaints and be problem solving when they escalated.
• Cooperating with other Sales Managers in order to harmonize the work quality between different offices.
• Implement and maintain the loyalty policy.
• All the India B2B agencies such as Evaneos, Copines de Voyage, Le Voyage Autrement…  All the Shanti Travel destinations offices.
• All Shanti Group staff.
• Manage team of Travel Experts staff (around 10 people) by maintaining a high-quality level in work.
• Organizing task as much as possible.
• Identifying skills and values.
• Implementing field support tools.
• Including training programs.
• Encouraging productivity initiatives.
• Conduct weekly collective sales Meeting (every Mondays) in the open space.
• Coordinate one to one Travel Experts Meetings and write an email summary each two weeks.
• Ensure trainings about destination and sales techniques (or delegate to someone else but after GM approval).
• Hire by using Shanti Travel human resources guidelines, welcome (introduce the newcomers to all the Shanti offices, set up the two first week training schedule, prepare the welcome bag and advise all the people who will be involved in before…) and lead the new Travel Experts training.
• Plan and oversee all Travel Expert handovers.
• Creating challenges and other incentives for Travel Experts to meet their goal.
• Co Organizing an annual team building with the General Manager and Operation Manager.
• Planning the annual JALSA schedule.
• Specific Trainings and Quiz.
• Setting up familiarization trips when they are required with the Operation Manager.
• Plan and implement the Sales department annual evaluation interviews based on performance, targets, achievements, organization and profiling.
• Approve and register in the HRM all the Sales department annual leaves, casual leaves, sick leaves and compensatory days.
• Adhere and enforce the Shanti Travel process, policies and ethics.
• Participate once per month to the Office Monthly Managers Meeting and once per year to the Shanti Sales Managers meeting.
• May substitute the GM during her days off out of office.

FINANCES & STRATEGY

• Ensure all reports are completed correctly and on time to analyze reports and KPIs.
• Send The Monthly Sales Report (FIT GIT tables) by Google drive document every Tuesday morning to generate figures for Shanti Travel Group and determine if sales goals have been met.
• Monitor if the financial deadlines are respected on each file by the Travel Experts.
• Approve final customers’ reimbursements and all the Sales department expenses (cash ones).

In Relation with DPM department at Shanti Group:

• Analyze sales statistics gathered to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and to monitor customers' preferences.
• Ensure market level strategic and business objectives (for instance: margin guides) are met by the sales team.
• Be Shanti Group Marketing aware of the partnership strategy.

Collaborate with the IT Manager in training the Sales team to the new CRM called BOS.Communicate to the IT Manager every newcomer reference to create their several IT profiles.

The sales manager must be very clear about his role in the organization. He/she should know what he is supposed to do at the workplace.
