Il clima della Spagna è di tipo mediterraneo e può essere visitata tutto l’anno. Tuttavia, l’Andalusia è maggiormente consigliata nei mesi primaverili e autunnali in quanto la calura estiva in questa regione è decisamente elevata.

Essendo un paese dell’Unione Europea, è possibile viaggiare in Spagna con la  carta d’identità  valida per l’espatrio. Infine, dal 26 giugno 2012 tutti i  minor  italiani che viaggiano dovranno essere muniti di documento di viaggio individuale. Pertanto, a partire dalla predetta data i minori, anche se iscritti sui passaporti dei genitori in data antecedente al 25 novembre 2009, devono essere in possesso di passaporto individuale oppure, qualora gli Stati attraversati ne riconoscano la validità, o di carta d’identità valida per l’espatrio. Per un viaggio in Spagna è necessario portare vestiti e accessori pratici e comodi, a seconda della zona che si intende visitare. La Spagna è un paese relativamente economico. Tuttavia, è bene differenziare le varie aree del paese. Infatti, al pari con quella italiana, la cucina spagnola offre una grandissima varietà di pietanze e i suoi piatti spaziano dalla carne al pesce, da frutta e vedrura, fino a squisiti dolci e dessert: La paella è senza dubbio il piatto più famoso della tradizione spagnola. Questo delizioso piatto di riso cotto insieme a pesce, oppure carne o verdure, è tipico di Valencia e proprio in questa città potrete deliziarvi con la sua versione migliore. Gli amanti della pasta troveranno invece gioia con un’altra versione, la fidejua . La Spagna è anche patria di prosciutti. Questi invitanti bastoncini fritti sono veramente ovunque in tutto il paese. Inoltre, dessert come il dulce de leche , l’ ensaimada e la crema catalana sono testimonianza della grande tradizione pasticciera della Spagna.

In Spagna l’acqua dei rubinetti è potabile. Tuttavia è sempre raccomandabile non bere acqua dal rubinetto e raccomandiamo di bere esclusivamente acqua in bottiglie ermeticamente sigillate.

Un viaggio in Spagna vi porterà a scoprire antichi mestieri e tradizioni legate all’artigianato locale. Inoltre, le grandi differenze tra le varie regioni spagnole, fanno si che in ogni città si può sempre acquistare qualcosa di diverso. A Siviglia potrete acquistare bellissimi souvenir di ceramica decorata , tipica della città e dello stile d’arte mudejar. A Barcellona invece troverete pressoché ovunque le famose salamandre e tori colorati , simbolo della città e del suo cittadino più illustre, Gaudì. Se invece cercate prodotti gastronomici, non potete perdervi l’ olio di oliva della zona di Jaen, oppure i vini de La Rioja . Infine, chi decide di percorrere il Cammino di Santiago, potrà rientrare con il famoso passaporto del pellegrino che è possibile far timbrare ad ogni tappa del pellegrinaggio. Oppure, tipica è anche la conchiglia delle pellegrino , simbolo del cammino e vera e propria “stella polare” dei suoi viaggiatori.

A seconda delle regioni e delle città in cui si decide di andare, gli orari dei ristoranti possono variare. In Andalusia non ci sono veri e propri orari, e i locali possono aprire alle 7 del mattino come a mezzogiorno, a seconda di quando hanno chiuso la sera precedente. Madrid invece rispetta maggiormente gli orari dalle 08:00 alle 14:00 e dalle 16:00 alle 23:00. Gli esercizi commerciali come negozi rispettano invece un orario che va dalle 09:00 alle 12:00 e dalle 16:00 alle 22:00, facendo la cosiddetta “siesta”.

La mancia in Spagna è una consuetudine abbastanza radicata all’interno della società, anche se non è obbligatoria. Pertanto, se state consumando tapas consigliamo di dare una mancia pari a 1€ al cameriere. Se invece state consumando un pasto completo in ristorante, consigliamo di offrire una mancia di circa il  5-10% del conto finale .

La copertura per la rete mobile in Spagna è molto buona in tutto il paese. Tuttavia, nelle zone di montagna o nelle zone rurali delle mesetas il segnale potrebbe essere debole o del tutto assente. Infine, l’ accesso ad internet è abbastanza sviluppato in Spagna. Negli hotel e nei ristoranti il wi-fi è quasi sempre presente. Inoltre, nelle grandi città sono molto diffusi i punti wi-fi gratuiti.

In Spagna non ci sono particolari restrizioni per scattare fotografie o girare video nelle principali attrazioni turistiche. Comunque, è sempre fondamentale comportarsi con rispetto nei confronti della popolazione locale, degli usi e dei costumi del paese. Pertanto, è necessario chiedere sempre il permesso prima di fotografare le persone persone, specialmente se sono bambini. The pros: The guide, Jonnathan, was very knowledgeable and flexible so we all could do any activity. Jonna was very nice and very easy to work with. The cons: This tour should be fully guided, not partially guided so the whole group stays together. I have never seen a group so divided, Partially guided tours create cliques. Also, days should start earlier than 8:50am. Starting the day at 8:50am means that travelers often arrive to their destination tool late to do any activity - it's just a waste of time.

Awesome trip, great way to see so much of Mexico in a short space of time. Top moments were the beach at Holbox, swimming in the 7 colours lagoon, experiencing the cenotes, all the guacamole, delicious breakfast recommendations, seeing Xichen Itsa and biking in Tulum. Our guide was Eve and she was THE BEST. We have done a bunch of other trips and she was by far the most personable, creative, fun, lovely person with a lot of experience and wonderful ability to share her knowledge with us. 10 Day Peru Express - Lima, Ica, Machu Picchu, Cusco & Puno + Titi-Kaka Lake with Domestic Flights with Waman Adventures was an amazing trip. Waman Adventures ran this tour smoothly and professionally. All accommodations, transportation, and most of the food were good. Every second of this trip was carefully thought out. A very informative, entertaining, and pleasant tour. You don't need to worry about anything. We learn a lot about Peru, nature, the ancient Inca civilization, and the current tribes. The tour guides Gido and Will are very professional, caring, punctual, and accurate. The hiking trips might be challenging ( for me, I have asthma) but there is an option to take a horse or bike with the driver. We highly recommend Waman Adventure Tours to everyone.

Wow what a four. While relatively short, this was a great trip to see the highlights of Argentina and Brazil. There was a perfect amount of time at each location to take in the sights and we did it feel rushed at all. We did a bit of an add on and went to a tango show as well As both sides of Iguazú Falls and a jeep tour in Rio. All Were well worth it and I'm glad we added these on. The transfers and tour guides etc were first rate and everything was well organized. The tour team kept in daily communication amd confounded all our pick up times daily and when we had some minor provider issues they were very quick to rectify and make right. Everything for transfers , flights and a conflation was great. . Cannot talk more highly of this tour and the providers - Wandeful Holidays provide such a personalized service and you do not feel like another number . It was so assuring to know they were only a call or message away if we needed assistance and that gave us great peace of mind. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see the sights of Brazil and Argentina.

It was a wonderful trek, incredible nature and nice hiking camps! Be aware, you hike 7-9 hours a day for 4 days...this is not for everybody. But its worth it!!! Patagonia is the best :)

The trekking was very good but one of the Cuernos Refugio charged me 19% VAT because I did not have the PID. I had to obtain a duplicate or apply for it at a police station within 7 days for the Cuernos front desk to cancel the charge. I thought I had paid for the entire tour. I was not warned that the park refugios would try to charge me tax on a tour that I had paid for in full onlin months before. This was very distressing. I did not feel welcome.

Von den Besuchen der tollen historischen Altstädte, über die kahlen Landschaften der Vulkane bis hin zum Regenwald, war bei dieser Tour alles dabei. Außerdem war es immer super organisiert und man fühlt sich immer willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Mein Guide, Santiago, war bei Fragen oder Problemen immer zu erreichen und zudem sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Ich würde die Reise jedem ans Herz legen und weiterempfehlen.

The itinerary was not accurate. There was also no communication when changes were made regarding the itinerary. There was also late accommodation's arranged since there was nothing actually planned for the day. The only contact available then blamed the customer for their lack of preparedness.

We did our trek with alpaca expositions and it was amazing. Our guides, Javier and Henry were encouraging and informative. The chef Alex was able to create gourmet meals including cakes and tortes in a camping setting. This was an unforgettable journey.

Unbelievable. Brilliant tour, brilliant guides (Juan Carlos and Rosita) who let you stop or slow down whenever you need, they tell stories and show you interesting stops along the way, they're funny, sweet, organized and helpful. The porters carry your belongings and sleeping bags, etc. and you really can't believe how much they can carry with no complaints. They also work so hard around the camp, and they clapped us every time we arrived at our lunch/dinner spots. The chefs, wow, cooked us some amazing meals, and there was always more than enough food. They provide you with snacks for throughout the day which is nice - and needed! Everything was just amazing and very well ran. I can't recommend this trip enough.

Adventure Journeys

This was a great trip with Jorge as our guide. The places we stayed at were quite nice and unique. The food was delicious. The hikes and the views were amazing although sometimes a challenge ( for me) . I would definitely book with Adventure Journeys again.

My husband & I had one other traveler with us on our Adventure Journeys "Galapagos Essentials" land-based tour so this allowed for a more personalized experience. We flew to Baltra but immediately went to Santa Cruz for 2 nights, then San Cristobal 2 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed most of our experiences there however for all the flights/expense required to get to/from the Galapagos, seemed like a lot of travel for just a few hours/day/3 days of sightseeing: lesson learned. Be advised, the 2+ hour boat ride between the 2 islands, especially if the afternoon winds/swells are up, is NOT fun (insist on a seat up top)! Our guides on each island were excellent: knowledgeable locals who love their home and were good company while sightseeing! One can choose to spend a lot or not so much for meals on both islands, some delicious vegan options available (Agave Studio, a few minutes walk from our Hotel Fiesta on San Cristobal, makes a delish vegan ceviche!). Unlike mainland Ecuador, the islands are busy with tourists; obviously, a safe place to visit/explore.

An excellent tour to appreciate and learn about the Mayan civilisation. Very happy to have done this. Miguel is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide with a good sense of humour. We felt very safe in the hands of our driver, Edgar. All of the hotels were decent and centrally located. We had a minor issue with the airport transfer to the hotel as we didn’t see anyone holding out a sign with our name. The assistance contact number provided by Destination Services was useless, no one answered when we called. Luckily we had the number of the guide, he helped us find the right guy in the busy Cancun airport!
