Kas 27th may 2017.

This place is one of our local haunts and we have never had to complain before now. We visited for a drink on the 24/05/2017 around 7pm. When leaving we had to mention to a woman who was blocking the car park entrance/disabled car parking space with her car that we wouldn't be able to get our car out, to which she replied "I work here", so in other words you can take a running jump. She was very nasty in her approach to us. Not seen her before & don't want to come across her again. Can not understand why the Travellers Rest would employ someone like this, as all other employees are very pleasant.

I have been going to the travellers now for over a year for their act night and all I can say is wow! The talent of the performers is unreal. The atmosphere in the pub is outstanding! Nothing is ever too much trouble for the... staff, they are so friendly and approachable. The pub itself is spotless, well decorating and looked after perfectly. It’s just a shame this pub doesn’t get the recognition they deserve. More

There are not many placed in the world nowadays where you get a friendly welcome and great food at a competitive price. I have read all the reviews and it is clear from some of the reviews, one in particular, that it is neither helpful... nor professional to make personal vindictive remarks which are obviously unfounded and is made by someone with a personal vendetta The atmosphere at the travellers rest is first class, the staff are first class and the food is tremendous. It is run by a husband and wife team who are young and energetic. The place is unrecognisable from three years ago under its previous management Keep up the excellent work we will definately recommend and be returning for a longtime to come More

Once again the food was spot on highly recommended great service and very friendly staff,I Was dining alone and had a great chat with the landlord about their plans for the future,it sounds like it's going to be even better in the future (try the... burger you can't go wrong) More

We walked in to have food and there was no one at the bar, we asked if the food side of the place was actually open as there were no menus on the table and no one at the bar, to which a man from... the other side had to go and get someone. The owner came out and said with an attitude after I asked if they were open ‘well obviously because there’s a bar full of people in there’ for starters there was literally 3 people lmao. He was rude, obnoxious and we will definitely not be returning any time soon. More

Visited a couple of times over festive period with friends. Waited over an hour for starters, there was only us in the restaurant! Food was awful, apparently chef left early last year, hence lack of later good reviews. Landlord struggles to string a sentence together,... I've met more intelligent stray cats. Our friends have fallen out with the place as have a lot of locals. 10p a pint off for one night only for the die hard locals at Christmas, insulting! suprisingly no one attended the bash, I wonder why? Get the message! Will certainly never return. over priced, very poor food and drink. Certainly not the place it was. Needs an adult around with a bit of knowledge of the industry. More

Having been to the Travellers Rest on numerous occasions for Sunday lunch, and thoroughly enjoying it, we decided to book for Christmas lunch. We decided on the second sitting at 3.30pm as first was a little early at 12.30. There were seven of us (at... £45 per person) and we arrived at about 3.20pm. We were supposed to be greeted by a welcome drink but were actually greeted by chaos. People were congregated at the bar as the tables had not been reset from the first sitting so we bought a drink and waited. Eventually we were seated but our table didnt have any cutlery & we had to ask for some when the first course was served. The main course was served nearly two hours after we had arrived & was not good. It tasted as if it had been warmed up from the first sitting & was tasteless. By this time quite a few tables had left before the dessert. After the dessert we asked what the fourth course was as nobody else seemed to have it. We were duly served with coffee (just a cup, no saucers) mince pies & celebrations. The coffee was undrinkable. It was a very disappointing experience & it will be quite a while before I go there again. I don't think they had enough staff on to cope with the number of tables and/ or not enough experience. After reading the review by Sandra n I felt I should post a review on the Travellers we eat their on a regular basis the food is 1st class well prepared the care and attention by the staff is definitely not as described by Sandra.... The childish way she describes the Landlord is of poor taste and not nice! I consider myself a regular customer and will continue to give the Travellers my custom as I am sure the many regulars will. Keep up the good work the Travellers is the best pub in the area without doubt. More

Came out with family for a meal and I've got to say it was great.... Staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for you.... Food was lovely & desserts were yummy too..... My Family visited The Travellers Rest yesterday evening for a celebratory meal for our Aunts 80th Birthday.From the start of our evening we were welcolmed warmly by the young owners, Our evening was magical with attentive waiters who really couldnt do enough for us all.... The food was presented superbly and tasted just as good. 10/10 from us all and we have said this is one restaurant we will visit again and very soon, thankyou to you all and we wish you continued success. If your taste is freshly prepared food, well presented and in friendly surroundings the Travellers Rest is the place to go. Situated in the picturesque village of Brookhouse, approx 30 minutes from Sheffield the Travellers makes a change from the micro waved pub chain food... offerings. A family party of 30, with some very picky eaters had nothing but praise for the Chef, the food and the warm hospitality. We would all come again and we would definitely recommend it to friends. Won tickets for 2 free meals so wasn't expecting much but the food was lovely. the place was friendly. Looking forward to going back and paying for a meal.

Visited here for the first time last Sunday for dinner. Really good location in Brookhouse village. Food and service was excellent - roast beef perfectly cooked; lovely steak pie. Couldn't ask for anything more - top of the list for Sunday lunch! Highly recommended.

Have just booked for a table of 6 and the Sunday dinner was amazing. The food was well presented. Vegetables were just right. I understand it was the new chef this afternoon for a change. There is a new bar menu with homemade fish fingers... in the form of a fish finger sandwich and loads of other appetising snacks. The Travs burger is awesome. A proper country pub in a lovely little village. More

The last review I gave was on the lovely food and steak we had here. After the recent visit something seems to have changed and not for the better. 45 minutes it took for steak & chips and my partners burger to arrive. The burger... was tasty with the dripping gravy but my steak really was a let down and the mushrooms that came with it were inedible, hard and shrivelled up. Bog standard frozen chips that were tasteless and the steak wasn't a good piece of quality meat. Sorry but we wont be returning for a while, hopefully things will improve More

To be able to cook, you need to unlock the crafting room (play introduction questline beyond woodworking, metalworking and table crafting). Cooking requires fuel, Itemly wood or coal.

• Most cooking uses the Oven , but making cheese requires the purchase of a Cheesery .
• Newly added to the game is the Press , Food Prep Table , and the Preserves Table . They are used to make ingredients.

Flavours [ ]

Most recipes can have ingredients added to modify the attributes of the cooked item. Modifiers add to the sale price of the crafted item.

Up to three ingredients can be added to any recipe, which can cause up to six modifiers to be added to the crafted item.

An example of a six modifier option is Dual Hops, Raspberry and Honey, which gives a beer: Hoppy, Juicy, Bitter, Fruity, Sour, and Sweet.
