Wild Coast Sun

Less than a two hour scenic drive along the South Coast from Durban’s King Shaka International Airport, the Wild Coast Sun is a family-friendly resort that offers premium accommodation and leisure  activities  which include amongst the finest golf courses and water parks in South Africa.

The resort is set on 750 hectares of natural bush between two rivers overlooking the Indian Ocean. The area offers tourists and conference delegates a variety of attractions and activities – from walks along our unspoilt beaches to deep sea fishing and scuba diving.

The 18-hole golf course is ranked one of the top courses in Southern Africa. The scenery is magnificent, and the country club offers light lunches and a view of the sea and the 18th hole.

Visitors to the Wild Coast Sun can also be entertained at the  Wild Waves Water Park , a family delight with rides suitable for all ages.

They come in all shapes and sizes, from the Aqua loop, which is a body slide, to the various speed slides- the tallest, fastest and steepest slides - and the lazy loop which is equivalent to sitting in a tube and floating gently round a circuit.

The Wild Coast Sun Resort is one of Southern Africa's oldest and most popular casinos. Located just 5 km south of Port Edward, the casino is within easy driving distance from many of the South Coast's beach resorts.

In addition to the normal slot machines there are also poker machines, blackjack tables and roulette wheels.

The Wild Coast Sun is one of Sun International's most popular and exotic properties. Renowned golf architect Robert Trent Jones Jnr has managed to create a dramatic golfing experience second to none and we highly recommend a trip out to experience, for yourself, the best of what SA has to offer. Built a stone’s throw from the Indian Ocean means conquering prevailing winds will be your primary challenge but with holes that take you over waterfalls, dams and streams – it certainly won’t be your only one.

The requirements for the transfer is as follows:

TRANSPORTATION COST PER TRIP PER ADULT AND CHILDREN:

R350 per person for day trips/visits and with a valid MVG card you will receive R150.00 back on your valid MVG card as a freeplay voucher.

If you’re staying over a 2-day accommodation:  then the cost will be R700 per person and you will receive back R300.00 on your MVG card as a freeplay voucher.

COST PER CHILD PER DAY: Children under 3 years – free. Children from 4 to 11 – R200.00 per person per day. Children over 12 to 18 – R250 per person per day (and over a 2 day trip will be R500.00).

CHILDREN AND ADULTS – WATER PARK ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS, HEIGHT PER CHILD AND CURRENT PRICES: height per child – 1.2 Metres – R80.00 in winter and R120.00 in summer. height per child – 1.2 metres to 1.5 metres – R160.00 in winter and R200.00 in summer day visits for adults – R160.00 in winter and R200.00 in summer

The Riverside is a mini paradise for all, operating from the Wild Coast Sun Resort & Casino .

We offer scenic cruises into the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve, departing daily at 12 pm, 2.30 pm and 5 pm, in summer. Private cruises, for a maximum of 11 people, are available at any time during operating hours and our bigger cruise can be booked exclusively for private functions, booze cruises, braai cruises and more. A minimum rate applies for exclusive trips.

We cater for all, with speed boats, tube rides, wakeboarding , skiing, stand up paddling , kayaking or a lazy river paddle on a paddle boat.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Our beach bar serves top-selling cocktails & G&T’s, with live music every Saturday from 4-8 pm.
