What can i bring on the austin party bike tour.

Bring an ID that shows you are at least 21 years of age. Bring your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages (cans and plastic bottles only- no glass or hard liquor). If you rent the whole bike for your party, feel free to bring your own playlist. Decorations and costumes are welcome. We can also store small purses and bags on the bike.

What is the Tour Route?

The tour route is subject to change due to road closures out of our control; however, below is a map of our most frequent tour route. All tours start and end at 806 San Jacinto Blvd. The ride weaves its way around Downtown Austin and usually includes two Bar Stops. The longest leg of the tour is most often Dirty 6th Street!

Bring an ID that shows you are at least 21 years of age. Bring your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages (no glass or hard liquor). If you rent the whole bike for your party, feel free to bring your own playlist. Decorations and costumes are welcome. We can also store small purses and bags on the bike.

What can’t I bring on the Austin Bar Bike tour?

Glass containers, hard liquor, and illegal drugs are never allowed on the bike.   Please don ’ t bring any animals, as they surely won’t enjoy the ride.   We will be pedaling around our great city so make sure not to bring any big bags or extraneous items that could fall off the moving vehicle.  

How many people can go on the Austin Bar Bike tour?

We need a minimum of 6  pedalers to move the bike efficiently. We can take a maximum of 14 people.  

How does drinking work on Party Bikes in Austin?

BYOB! Bring your own alcohol. We are not allowed to provide you with alcohol for the trip. We will provide coolers with plenty of ice for the journey. We are happy to talk with you about where to procure alcohol for your trip. Alcohol can only be consumed while sitting on the bike.  

Can people under 21 come on the Austin Pedal Party?

Riders under 21 may participate on the party bike, but the minimum age is 18. All riders, even those under 21,  must present a valid ID.   Only guests 21 and older may bring and consume alcohol on the bike

How long are Austin Pedal Party Bike Tours?

Our tours are approximately 2 hours of pure bliss gliding through our beautiful city! Tours can vary by traffic/road conditions and the eagerness of our pedallers. 

What is the cancellation/rescheduling policy for Austin Pedal Party Tours?

If you need to cancel your reservation, we will provide a full refund if given notice at least 14 days prior to tour date. Missing the start time or canceling within 14 days of the ride date will preclude you from receiving a refund. We do offer a one-time rescheduling option. A reschedule request must be made at least 2 days prior to the tour date. The reschedule date must be within 7 days of your original tour date. 

What happens if it rains during my booking in Austin?

We keep a close eye on the skies and will let you know if the weather will make it unsuitable or unsafe to ride. We will inform you if the ride will be cancelled due to weather, please do not make any assumptions regarding cancellations. If cancelled, you will receive a full refund.   

How hard is pedaling on the Bar Bike in Austin?

It is much easier than it looks! Teamwork is the key to success on the bike. A little effort goes a long way on a group ride. Pedaling passengers are only asked to exert a level of energy that is comfortable for that individual. There are also seats available that require no pedaling be done at all.  

What should I wear during my Bar Bike Tour of Austin?

We encourage everyone to be comfortably dressed. Please keep in mind you will be pedaling. Also, the bike seats are elevated, so consider how upward breezes may affect your outfit. Closed toed shoes recommended, but for those wearing sandals we do have some non-pedaling seats available.

Do we stop anywhere during the tour of Austin?

Yes!  There will be two stops on each tour. Our stops will be at some of our favorite local bars, allowing you to grab a drink, stretch your legs, and use their facilities. The stops will not be long as the vast majority of the tour takes place on the bike.

Where Does the Austin Tour Start? Where Does The Austin Tour End? Where Do I Park?

The best map pin to find the tour starting location is 806 San Jacinto

We start and end our tour in the middle of downtown Austin at the commercial loading zone in the alley between 8th and 9th street on San Jacinto Blvd. Though the loading zone is between two sides of a parking garage, paid public parking is only available in that garage on weekends after 5pm or during special events. You can frequently find public street parking on San Jacinto Blvd or 8th street close by. If street parking happens to be filled up there are two parking lots on 7th street, one on San Jacinto and one on Trinity, that almost always have space and are just a couple blocks away. Our tour guide, Colt, was tons of fun, personable, and super knowledgeable of Texas and beer! My friend and I were the only ones on our specific tour, so it was really nice to come from out of town and learn cool facts about the area while in good company. The bike ride itself was not super long or strenuous as it was mostly on flat land. If you go during the summer or spring, do yourself a favor and put on extra sunscreen and wear light clothing - the Texas sun and heat are no joke. Founded in 2018 by longtime Austin resident and self-described zythophile Elle Thomas , AirBrewnB is entirely woman-owned and -operated. Thomas and the three other members of the Lady Brew Crew offer a variety of bespoke options, including virtual, in-person, private, corporate, and custom tours. In-person tour options range from two-hour, two brewery tours to four-hour, four brewery tours with taco tasting.

ATX Beer Bus is a one-man show from certified cicerone James Lipari. Lipari offers tours in Austin or the Hill Country with 3-4 stops and free pick-up and drop-off from anywhere within the city limits. Great tour of three local breweries!! Scheduling was easy, pick up location was easy and drinking was easy! Kenneth was a great tour guide, giving us information about each of the breweries we went to. He also sat with us at each location and it was cool getting to know him. He gave us plenty of notice about when we were leaving and made sure everyone was accounted for before moving on to the next location. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great time on this tour! James was very knowledgeable about Austin and beer! He was also a pleasure to hang out with!

Kenneth was our guide to a number of Austin breweries last weekend. It was nice to get out into some lesser-known areas of the city to try some different beers and see the setup. No complaints at all. Thanks Kenneth!

Apparently it's become a tradition that we do a brewery tour when we travel. One of the breweries I was told I MUST visit, while in Austin, was Jester King. Searched online for brewery tours that included this and finally decided on Austin Brewery Tours. Almost daily tours, online booking was so easy, and we got a reminder, a couple of days earlier to our tour, via email. Tour starts at noon. Meetup time was 11:30am. At around 11:25am the van was there. Out comes Shane, owner and tour guide. He immediately introduced himself, thanked us for being on time and proceeded to ask us our names and where we were from. Once the other people taking the tour arrived, we were all introduced and in the van we went. During the time we were driving, he would ask us questions to get to know us better, and see the style of beers we liked. He also gave us an intro of each of the breweries we would visit. He made the time driving pass by fast and welcomed all questions we could have. At each of the breweries, he explained the process and what we had included in the price of the tour. At Jester King, they even had a special release and he bought a sample of each (which was not included in the price but he gifted us with it) making sure we had the complete experience. You can tell he enjoys doing these tours and meeting the people. He even took us to Revolution - which was in front of one of the breweries we visited - to try locally made flavored gin. So greateful he allowed us to do this quick stop - this was delicious, and gave me the opportunity to talk more with one of the ladies on the tour, exchanging ideas on recipes with the gin we had just tried. Shane is grate at incorporating everyone in the tour and conversations. He allows you plenty of time to enjoy each brewery and every beer you choose. He is now friends with the staff at each of these breweries, which works on the advantage of everyone in the tour since we got excellent/ friendly service at each stop. Best part of this all, is you meet new people, get to enjoy all the beer you can drink, and don't have to drive. Great way to spend a day in Austin. If looking for a beer tour, look no further, this is it!

Austin Brewery Tour - stop #2 Last Stand

Shane, with Austin Brewery Tours was awesome. We went to three breweries, Hi Sign, Independence, and Nomodic. Shane was very informative and knowledgeable.

I arrived in Austin, TX on 10/18/18 with no plans until the following day and thought a tour was a good idea. However all the traditional tours appeared to be booked. I stumbled upon the Austin Brewery Tours' website while searching on Yelp for ideas. I had an awesome time exploring Austin's growing beer scene. I also had a great time meeting and making friends the other tourists on our tour. I enjoyed all of the 3 breweries but the behind the scene tour at Independence Brewing Co. made it my favorite. The price is very fair when you consider it includes your tastings and tips for your severs. In a nutshell, a good alternative tour for those interested in the Austin craft beer scene.

Great, we'll-run tour. Logistics were easy and Kenneth was a great tour guide. Will do again when in town!

So the scene is a bunch of guys down to Austin from NJ/NY for our buddies bachelor party. Of all the awesome people we met and food we ate, our guide Shane as well as the guys at the Lotus Joint food truck were freakin awesome! SXSW had Austin jammed with a lot to do but Shane made sure we got to see Austin and its beer community like the locals do. He was insanely knowledgeable not just about beer but also about Texas. When you've solo traveled the world like he has, you gain a perspective that makes you far more relatable too which made him an all around cool guy to hangout with. Most important.. The beers were phenomenal! (Try the goat tacos at Lotus also!) In town for a day, a week, or a life time - Hands down recommend this for anyone in Austin!

We had a great time on our tour. Our guide James was very informative and friendly. No one In our group lived in Austin so it was good to get some info about the city and neighborhoods. The 3 breweries we stopped at were all unique from each other in size, atmosphere, and beers. At each stop you choose two beers to try which is great. We've been on other tours where you do not pick. We were given about an hour at each stop which was ample time. I would highly recommend this tour company!
