What you will see along the way..

Monterosso al Mare: the northernmost village of the Cinque Terre, which is divided into two sides: the historic center and the “new” side called Fegina, with a pedestrian tunnel that connects the two. Monterosso is larger than the other towns and is the only one that offers beach services, making it the most visited of the Cinque Terre.

Vernazza: the smallest of the Cinque Terre villages, and commonly known as the most fascinating thanks to its beautiful marina and the Church of Santa Margherita d’Antiochia which stands right on the water. Here you will also see the Torre del Belforte which sits above the harbour as a protective lighthouse for the small village.

Corniglia: lying 100 meters high on a cliff, Corniglia is the only one of the towns without a port and has a panoramic terrace from which you can see Manarola and Riomaggiore to the south and Vernazza and Monterosso to the north.

Manarola: located at the northern end of the Via del Amore and is part of the municipality of Riomaggiore. Known for its wine production, Manarola is characterised by vineyard covered hillsides and is home to many wineries, producing exceptional wines, including a dessert wine called Sciacchetrà found only in this area.

Riomaggiore: with brightly coloured houses built vertically on the surrounding hills, Riomaggiore is the second largest of the five towns and is widely known for excellent diving spots off its coast in the marine protected area that stretches all along the Cinque Terre. Here you will also see where the famous Via del Amore pedestrian path begins, leading to nearby Manarola.

Book directly from our site, selecting your date and time, number of guests, and tour of your choice. Otherwise you can contact us via email and we can provide all the information regarding availability and pricing. Just let us know how many people are in your group and the dates you are interested in, and we’ll take care of the rest!

What happens in the case of bad weather or rough seas?

We will contact you a few days before your tour to touch base. In the case of bad weather or rough seas, we will see if it’s possible to reschedule the tour. If not, we will cancel the tour with no penalty with as much warning as possible.

How far in advance do i need to book my tour?

All of our reservations are booked on a first come, first served method so in order to ensure availability, we suggest you book as soon as you are certain of your travel plans.

What happens if i need to cancel my reservation?

• FREE CANCELLATION up to 48 hours prior to the tour. You will receive a full refund of the deposit paid online.
• All cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour will lose 100% of the deposit paid online.
• All no-shows will lose 100% of the deposit paid online.
• In the case that we must cancel the tour due to poor sea or weather conditions, you will receive a FULL REFUND of the deposit paid online.

Where do we meet the boat?

Our tours depart from the main pier in front of the Historic Center side of Monterosso. Upon confirmation, we will send a map showing the departure point. Contact us directly for more information.

Is there parking near where we meet the boat?

There are two public parking lots in Monterosso, however due to the very limited space in this small village, we strongly recommend arriving by train. If you have a car, you can park in either La Spezia or Levanto, and catch the train from there.

Discover one of the most amazing and enchanting Ligurian landscape in the world in a small group tour from Viareggio with an expert tour leader for the day. The Cinque Terre “Five Villages” are declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage and have unique flora and spectacular coastline of the true Italian Riviera.

You will have the chance to admire it from a boat   and make the most beautiful panoramic photos to the villages with its colorful houses and rocky coast.

We will stop and visit the most picturesque fishing villages : Manarola with the boats parked on the street, Vernazza , the tiniest one, with the ancient case-torri and finally the biggest fishing village of all, Monterosso.

Once arrived in Monterosso there will be free time for lunch and shopping.

Monterosso is famous for the beautiful beaches and of course you’ll have plenty of free time to swim and relax.

Dates & Time: Tuesday and Saturday (8'20 am – 6'00 pm)

Season: April - October Weather: This tour runs rain or shine

The Price Includes: Expert Tour leader for the day, All transport: bus, boat and train tickets, Free visit of Manarola, Monterosso and Vernazza fishing villages. Free time for shopping, lunch and beach activities.

Meeting Point: Viareggio: In front Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte. Exact pick up time will be confirmed after booking * Pickup from Lido di Camaiore, Marina di Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi can be arranged upon request.

• nihl 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Cinque Terre Family Trip Fantastic tour! We took the private Cinque Terre tour from Lucca for our family of two adults and three children. I was I initially hesitant to book as it was quiet expensive but we were very short on time and the logistics of getting there by trains etc ourselves would have cost us too much time and seemed like a lot of effort especially with the kids! Now, I have no regrets about the cost. Our tour could not have been better from start to finish. Our guides were incredibly informative and added so much extra value to the day. We would have missed so much if it hadn’t been for them. I feel we got a real insight into the whole area. Unfortunately the boats weren’t running due to rough seas which was disappointing but out of everyone’s control! We probably ended up with a bit of extra time in each village as a result as the trains are quicker. The guides just made everything easier..even down to knowing which was the best train carriage to be in to avoid the crowds when exiting. We didn’t feel rushed at any point. The first day we went to a beautiful farm and learned to make pasta with Monica. It wasn’t just about the pasta as Monica explained the different sauces, fresh herbs and cheeses. On the second day we went to Pisa, Luca and then to a fantastic small winery that produces small batch wines and some of the best cold press olive oil I’ve ever tasted! After moving to a new location in Tuscany due to a problem with our lodging, we had to cancel a tour with another company. I communicated with Tania to see if she could do anything for us on short notice. She was wonderful! She got back to me with a reasonably priced private tour for our family of 6 that was tailored to our needs. Our guide, Valerie, was amazing! She was incredibly knowledgeable of the area and so flexible with our schedule. We did a quick tour of Pisa, and spent the afternoon in beautiful Lucca. The tour ended with a visit to an outstanding winery in Montecarlo. Valerie even gave us recommendations a day after the tour when I reached out to her. Chef Monica welcomed us into her beautiful home and we instantly felt a part of her family preparing for our next meal. To learn the “why” behind the traditional food made the meal experience that much richer. Valerie was the perfect translator and companion for our experience! Her interest in the rest of our upcoming trip included many helpful tips and stories of Italian history and she then even assisted us to get to the local bank after our event was complete, again felt like family! 5 stars is not enough for a rating of the memories created with Chef Monica and Valerie. We made various types of pasta, including potato Gnocchi and Ravioli and the sauces to go with them as well as individual tiramisu desserts. Our tour guide, Tania, picked us up at our hotel and filled us with insights and history of the region as we drove to the truffle hunt lactation. We then experienced an excellent and successful truffle hunt watching the dog find 2 white truffles which were later used too help create the 4 course tasting lunch. The tasting was phenomenal!! The hunter, Luca, was a great educator and full of knowledge on all things truffle! I have used Come and See Italy tours in the past and they are always fun, professional, safe and provide knowledgeable guides. This will go down as one of the best and completely worth the price! • P9752PCdebbiew 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Our tour from Lucca to San Gimignano and Siena Italy. The tour guide Jenie was very good in terms of knowing the history of the area and the terrain. Because it was such a long day, she had to rush us at some points. It was beautiful to see San Gimignano. However, the streets are very commercialized and busy. The winery visit was good in terms of tasting the variety of wines and food. We didn't see how they made the wine in their building. Siena was also very beautiful. It was way too busy and also very commercialized. I wanted to see more of the famous buildings but by the time we got to Siena, we were tired from all of the walking. The whole day went from 8:15 until almost 7:00 or so in the evening, by the time we got back to Lucca. There was too much walking involved (hours and hours) on very busy narrow hilly roads. Way too long of a day. It would be better to be a shorter day and also taken by the tour guide to more off the beaten path places within these towns. Washrooms are a problem there. Not enough of them and stores resent anyone using their washrooms. We were told by Viator to meet at Piazzale B. Ricasoli, 15 in Lucca. This address does not exist and we spent a lot of time trying to find the meeting point. Luckily, another couple was hanging around the area and told us. Read more Written 14 October 2023
