For the theatergoer, Dolby Theatre experience begins on Hollywood Boulevard, where a towering portal, designed by Rockwell, serves as the grand entrance to the theatre, which is set back from the street. A two-story Awards Walk, featuring backlit glass plaques for each Best Picture Oscar ® winner on a series of limestone portals, leads up a sweeping staircase with red mosaic tile to the main entrance.

The five-level theatre lobby is centered by a grand spiral staircase with cherrywood balustrades, topped by an oval, uplit silvery dome. Certain lobby design elements were inspired by Michelangelo’s Campodiglio in Rome and Busby Berkeley’s choreography. Twenty-six spectacular images of famous Oscar ® winners including Grace Kelly, Jack Nicholson, Marlon Brando, Halle Berry and Julia Roberts are permanently displayed on four lobby levels as photographic transparencies on clear plexiglass hung in front of shimmering beaded “silver screen” panels.

The audience chamber is highlighted by a silver-leafed “tiara”, a striking, looping oval structure that both supports and disguises an immense ceiling grid for lighting. Reflective ribs from the tiara extend down between the theatre’s box seats, creating a continuous flow from wall to ceiling. The chamber was designed to draw attention to the action on the stage, as well as to achieve the maximum intimacy between audience and performers. It is appointed with sumptuous details that give the space warmth including cherrywood finishes and deep plum upholstery, as well as a shimmering glow provided by curtains of two shades of iridescent fabric and a fine bronze mesh that stretches to the top of the proscenium, which measures some 64 feet wide by 35 feet high. The main stage area is one of the largest in the nation, at 120 feet wide and 75 feet deep.

Wolfgang Puck Catering and Events, owned by celebrated chef Wolfgang Puck, is the exclusive provider of food and beverage services for Dolby Theatre, including front of house, backstage and special private events that can be held in the theatre lobbies and the Dolby Lounge.

Where is the “vip entrance”.

The VIP entrance is located at Dolby Live's Main Entrance inside Park MGM's casino.

Is re-entry allowed?

Yes, re-entry is permitted. Guests will be required to scan their ticket upon exiting Dolby Live which will enable them re-enter. The re-entry policy may change depending on the event.

Where can I store/check my prohibited belongings (camera, large backpack)?

No bags or backpacks will be permitted into the venue except for small personal bags or purses (12″ x 12″x 6″ max). Please note that some events may enforce a modified bag policy. Please see the specific event page or contact Guest Services for further information. Dolby Live/Park MGM does not provide an area to check coats or personal belongings. Nor are we responsible for any property that is lost, stolen, or damaged. Guests with personal belongs on our prohibited items list are responsible for storing their own items elsewhere.

Are there age restrictions?

Children age 3 and older require a full-price ticket for entry. Any child younger than the age of 3 may enter without a ticket, but must remain on the lap of the ticket holder. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Where do I get an assisted listening devices?

Assisted Listening Devices may be requested by visiting Guest Services. Guest Services is located on the 1st and 2nd floor of the Dolby Live lobby.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside of Dolby Live or Park MGM. This includes all five terraces. Smoking is permitted in the designated smoking locations, located outside.

Can I bring in outside food and beverage?

Outside food is not permitted inside Dolby Live. Guests may bring outside beverages but may be requested to transfer their beverage inside a cup upon entry.

Where is lost and found?

All items found inside Dolby Live will be turned over to Park MGM Security at the end of each event.

I had a picture taken at the show – who do I contact to get that picture?

For most shows, photos inside Dolby Live are taken by Cashman Studios. Please give them a call with your show information and a brief description of your party’s attire (702) 871-8300.

How do I book ADA seating?

Guests requiring accessible seating are able to book through Ticketmaster.com. For additional assistance or seating, please contact Show Reservation 844-600-PARK(7275).

How big is the theater?

Dolby Live is a flexible venue which allows it to vary in size to complement each event. With telescopic retractable seating, Dolby Live can transform to host award shows, conventions, sporting events, and concerts with several different configurations. The theater holds approximately 5,200 seats but capacities vary by event.

Opened in August of 2015, the R. Milton & Denice Johnson Center features state-of-the-art screening theaters, computer labs, mixing suites, digital production and animation studios, motion picture sound stages, research laboratories, student meeting space, offices, classrooms and the 950-seat Harrington Place Dining. With multi-functional spaces offering classroom, lab, performance, production and research options, the new building is designed for interdisciplinary collaborations among the music business, audio engineering technology, entertainment industry studies, songwriting, motion pictures and media studies programs.

This 250 seat theater/mixing stage is equipped with a state-of-the art Dolby Atmos immersive audio system. The Dolby Corp. provided an Atmos Rendering and Mastering Unit (Dolby RMU) that allows faculty to teach the process of creating and compiling movies in Dolby Atmos, as well as traditional 7.1 and 5.1 surround sound formats. Belmont Motion Pictures was the first university-based film program capable of showing commercial films and developing and producing theater-ready films in the Atmos format in the world and remains one of the only with a cinema sized Atmos mixing environment.

The Robert E. Mulloy Student Studios are located in the basement of the Massey Business Center on Belmont’s main campus. The Center consists of a nine-thousand square foot multi-studio complex featuring both classroom teaching labs which are intended solely for the use of Belmont students.

Studio A is a traditional tracking studio optimized for music production. It features a large tracking studio with three isolation booths that reduce sound bleed when recording in a group. In this space, students recieve hands on interactive classroom experience and have the ability to reserve the room for class assignments.

STUDIO B add

Studio B is a high end music mixing room. It features a state-of-the-art mix console and has professionally designed control room acoustics. In this space, students recieve hands on interactive classroom experience and have the ability to reserve the room for class assignments.

• Avid S3 digital console that connects directly with Pro Tools recording software to control all of its functions.
• Classic outboard recording gear as well as studio “plugins” designed to replicate the classic gear right inside the software.
• Connected small isolation booth for overdubs

STUDIO C add

Studio C is primarily designed to be an overdub room, or where vocals or extra guitar parts are added into a recording after the full band has already recorded together. It features a small control room paired with an isolation booth. 

• Avid Artist 8 Fader Mixing surface with a Pro Tools system
• Classic recording gear for a vintage recording setup while overdubbing

STUDIO D add

Studio D is primarily designed to be a music mixing and editing room capable of mixing in stereo. This room operates completely in the digital domain with no analog gear and utilizes a digital audio interface capable of replicating dozens of classic traditional outboard gear right inside the Pro Tools recording system.

EDITING ROOMS add

The Mulloy Student Studio also has several rooms designed to be small audio editing spaces. Students utilize these to privately work on projects after class. Each editing room has a Pro Tools System with a full complement of software plugins.

About The Dolby Theatre

One of the world’s premier entertainment venues, Dolby Theatre has hosted a range of prestigious artists and events including IRIS by Cirque du Soleil, Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, Prince, Elvis Costello, Barry Manilow, Stevie Wonder, Harry Connick, Jr., Melissa Etheridge, Dixie Chicks, Tyler Perry, American Ballet Theatre and various touring Broadway productions.

For the theatergoer, Dolby Theatre experience begins on Hollywood Boulevard, where a towering portal, designed by Rockwell, serves as the grand entrance to the theatre, which is set back from the street. A two-story Awards Walk, featuring backlit glass plaques for each Best Picture Oscar ® winner on a series of limestone portals, leads up a sweeping staircase with red mosaic tile to the main entrance.

The five-level theatre lobby is centered by a grand spiral staircase with cherrywood balustrades, topped by an oval, uplit silvery dome. Certain lobby design elements were inspired by Michelangelo’s Campodiglio in Rome and Busby Berkeley’s choreography. Twenty-six spectacular images of famous Oscar ® winners including Grace Kelly, Jack Nicholson, Marlon Brando, Halle Berry and Julia Roberts are permanently displayed on four lobby levels as photographic transparencies on clear plexiglass hung in front of shimmering beaded “silver screen” panels.

The audience chamber is highlighted by a silver-leafed “tiara”, a striking, looping oval structure that both supports and disguises an immense ceiling grid for lighting. Reflective ribs from the tiara extend down between the theatre’s box seats, creating a continuous flow from wall to ceiling. The chamber was designed to draw attention to the action on the stage, as well as to achieve the maximum intimacy between audience and performers. It is appointed with sumptuous details that give the space warmth including cherrywood finishes and deep plum upholstery, as well as a shimmering glow provided by curtains of two shades of iridescent fabric and a fine bronze mesh that stretches to the top of the proscenium, which measures some 64 feet wide by 35 feet high. The main stage area is one of the largest in the nation, at 120 feet wide and 75 feet deep.

Wolfgang Puck Catering and Events, owned by celebrated chef Wolfgang Puck, is the exclusive provider of food and beverage services for Dolby Theatre, including front of house, backstage and special private events that can be held in the theatre lobbies and the Dolby Lounge.

Dolby Theatre is located within the Hollywood & Highland, which consists of over 640,000 square feet of space featuring national, regional and local retail tenants, a variety of restaurants, several of Hollywood’s hottest nightclubs, a six screen state-of-the-art cinema adjacent to the world-famous TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly known as Grauman’s) and the 640 room Loews Hollywood Hotel.

The treasury of our Moscow panoramas is gradually increasing.

We have already been shooting aerial panoramas for 6 years. During this period of time we shot many interesting cities of the world: New York, Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, Sidney, Miami, Las Vegas, Rio de Janeiro, Dubai, Los Angeles and many others. However, we didn't succeed in shooting Moscow, the city we live in, though we did our best. The case is the flights over Moscow are forbidden except those of Russian Federation Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Response and Russian police. Taking in consideration these administrative restrictions we applied our creativity and resolved this problem by the following:

1) We made a virtual tour over Moscow Encircling Highway :  MEH and Interchanges

2) Yauza, Ramenki, Southern Port

3) In May 2010 near the Crocus-City the first in the world 1 gig pixel panorama was shot from the helicopter. It shows the Kremlin, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Novodevichiy Convent, the TV Tower of Ostankino and many other places of interest.

4) This sphere shot from the height of 1000 m which shows most part of Moscow and regions.

5) Last spring we have shot the panorama of Novodevichiy Convent

6) We have done a virtual tour over Moscow State University

7) Earlier this year we have done a fabulous panoramas of Moscow City business center

8) One of Moscow City panoramas has been converted into stereo format

9) We have created a  giga pixel panorama of the center of Moscow

Also it is worth to view one of the photos by Sergey Semenov devoted to the rehearsal of the Victory Parade of May 9. 

It had success on the exhibition  World Seen by the Russians  held in Moscow, on Tverskoy Boulevard in May-June 2011.

And now we would like to introduce a virtual tour around Moscow Kremlin.
