We offer fishing fun for families, friends, out of town guests, bachelor parties, business clients, organizations and corporate entertainment.

We provide some of the Best Deep Sea and Jetty Fishing trips on the coast. Catches on deep sea trips include kingfish, ling (cobia), dorado (mahi-mahi), a variety of shark, red snapper, mangrove snapper, lane snapper, spanish mackerel, and more. Catches on jetty trips include bull redfish, a variety of shark, black drum, spanish mackerel, gafftop, and much more.

A fishing trip is a great gift for anyone from an experienced angler to anyone fishing for the first time. Our gift certificates make great gifts for any occasion and can be purchased in any amount.

The “Island Girl” is docked at Pier 19 just 2 blocks from Harborside Drive and near downtown Galveston and the Historic Strand area.

From Houston  – Travel south on Interstate 45 (Gulf Freeway) to Galveston Island. Upon crossing the Galveston Causeway, take the very first exit, Harborside Drive. Go left under I-45 on Harborside Drive. Continue along Harborside Drive to downtown Galveston and the Historic Strand area.

At 20th Street (left turn signal) take a left onto 20th Street, go one block to the next corner and turn right. Pass the seafood markets and shrimp boats to Slip 8W for the “Island Girl”. You will see our Aqua Safari Charters, LLC. sign at our slip. Parking for the day is just beyond our location to the right in the Pier 19 parking lot.

From Bolivar Peninsula – PLEASE RESEARCH FERRY WAIT TIMES TO BE SURE YOU ARRIVE ON TIME FOR DEPARTURE. Take the ferry from Hwy 87 to Galveston Island. After departing the ferry, travel down Ferry Road (Hwy 87) and turn right on Harborside Drive (Hwy 275). At 20th Street turn right. Go one block to the next corner and turn right. Pass the seafood markets and shrimp boats to Slip 8W. You will see our Aqua Safari Charters LLC sign at our slip. Parking for the day is just beyond our location to the right in the Pier 19 parking lot.

**pricing is for 1-4 people for all fishing trips. There is an extra person charge after the 4 th person. A deposit is only required at time of booking, remaining balance due will be collected the day of the trip.**

Trip includes live bait, (artificial if desired for trophy Trout and Redfish) and all rods and reels. Whether you want to learn the art of finding fish, navigating Galveston Bay area complex or just having the fishing trip of a life time, our captains can handle it.

Jetty Fishing

Stretching out over five miles long and separating Bolivar island from Galveston Island, the jetties provide a safe harbor for ships coming into port. During your trip at the jetties, your Captain will focus on various wrecks and structures where large fish populate.

Deep Sea Fishing

Experience deep sea Fishing in Galveston, Texas! Ready to take you for an offshore fishing adventure. Charter one of our family-friendly guided fishing trips.

Shark Fishing

We are now taking private charter reservations for the 2024 Red Snapper Season. Our open boat schedule and reservations will begin April 1st at 10 a.m.. The season opens June 1st and is expected to run through the middle of August.

We will be offering 36-hour Wahoo/Bottom drop and 36-hour tuna trips. Several dates are available from January to May 29th, 2024.

46-Hour Private Charter

A BOAT LOAD OF FISH!!! We returned from our first ever 46-hour private charter organized by Matt West on February 11th. The catch consisted of 28 Wahoo, 18 YFT, 15 BFT, 2 King Fish, 3 Yellow Edge, 1 Snowy Grouper, 2 Long Tail Sea Bass, and 1 Blue Tile.

January 30th-31st

On January 31st we returned from a 36-hour tuna trip with a solid catch. Our 11 anglers caught 5 YFT, 10 Wahoo, 5 Almaco Jacks, 2 Yellow Edge Grouper and 90 Vermilion Snapper. One of the Yellow Edge Grouper weighed 45.2 lbs. and is the new state record.

January 6th-7th

Our first 36-hour of 2024 was a success. Our 11 fishermen returned with 18 YFT, 15 BFT, 8 Grouper, 1 Black Jack, 1 African Pompano

Galveston Offshore Fishing | Half Day Jetty Trips

Galveston offshore fishing trips are always lots of fun for everyone, and it’s a perfect fit for all. Whether you are a novice angler, a pro angler or a family with kids wanting to experience true saltwater fishing in the Gulf of Mexico for the first time, you will enjoy every fish catching minute

This Galveston offshore fishing trip is all-inclusive with fuel for the boat, bait (fresh & live), tackle, rods & reels, cold bottled water for your thirst after reeling in the big one, ice for your catch and fish cleaning and packaging. A deckhand (first mate) is also provided on the boat for your convenience. All you need to provide is a Texas all water fishing license for the day (17 and older only, under 17 licenses not required) they are $11 per person who lives in-state and $16 per person for our out of state guests. You can purchase them at the Academy on the Seawall in Galveston or at the Wal Mart right off the Seawall. You will need a cooler to take your fish home in and your eats and drinks.

The close offshore jetty system has been in place in the Galveston/Houston Ship Channel for over 150 years and is home to many different species of fish, such as different species of Sharks (blacktip, bonnet head, bull shark, hammer head, sand bar, tiger, nurse, dusky and more), Redfish, Black Drum, Stingray, Jack Cravelle, Cobia, Tarpon, Gafftop, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Sand Trout, Whiting,  and Croaker Just to name a few of the fish we catch on this trip.

Half day trips are done twice a day at 6:30 am and 1:00 pm. You will only travel about 15 minutes to our fishing spots where we start your fish catching experience. Sometimes we move around a time or two to get on better fish but each spot is not far from the next. We will fish for about 4 hours before returning to the dock where we will then clean and package your catch for you to take home.

About Galveston Deep Sea Fishing Trips

We offer morning and afternoon half-day Galveston deep sea fishing for up to 6 people per boat, and often have great catches from both trips as well. So don’t worry if the morning isn’t available for the date you had in mind. This also allows you to sleep in and relax for the morning or enjoy a great afternoon on the beach in Galveston after your fishing trip too. Our online bookings have availability for trips in real-time as well, we recommend booking ahead to ensure your preferred date.

If this is your first deep sea fishing experience; don’t worry, free fishing lessons are included!!!

We also provide all of the rods and reels, fishing tackle and bait for the trip, there’s no fuel surcharge, and we include fish cleaning! All you’ll need are snacks, drinks (no glass), and a fishing license. We have a cooler on board to put drinks and snacks in, but feel free to bring your cooler as well. Remember that your captain and crew work hard to ensure that you have a great experience on your deep sea fishing experience, you can show them your appreciation with a 15-20% tip and a 5-star review online. Both are greatly appreciated.

During your Galveston deep sea fishing trip, we typically try to do a combination of bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, and jigging. This gives us the opportunity to encounter a wider variety of fish species during your trip. Depending on the weather and conditions of the day, we may be limited to trolling and bottom fishing– which are typically most productive anyways.

The most popular deep sea fishing trip is our half day 6 hour trip, we are usually fishing within 40 miles of Galveston on a variety of different types of structures. We do not always fish oil and gas platforms, but also fish on sunken wrecks, natural bottom, scattered rocks, and other features too. Common species can include red snapper , king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, sharks, red drum, sheepshead, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, ripletail, and others. The length of the trip is measured from dock to dock and starts at the scheduled time for the trip. We try our best to stay on time, as there are often multiple groups scheduled during the day to go fishing.

For the ultimate Galveston deep sea fishing experience, you’ll want to  book a full-day 12 hour trip . This gives us more fishing time, goes farther offshore, and has more opportunity for a variety of different species too. A full day of deep sea fishing may not be for everyone, but it is the best opportunity to bring the most fish home for sure.

FAQs About Galveston Deep Sea Fishing

Deep Sea Fishing in Galveston is best from around mid April to mid October, weather permitting of course. The fishing is good all through the Spring , Summer, and Fall but for certain species some months may be better than others.

10 – 40 miles offshore on half day trips and 40 – 100 miles on full day trips.

Yes, anyone over the age of 17 is required by law to have a valid Texas saltwater fishing license. There are a number of options for licenses available, but we recommend a one-day license for most cases. You can purchase the licenses online or in person at Academy, Wal-Mart, or most any sporting goods store. Make sure when you purchase the license, it does include the oversized red drum tag on the license for any inshore or nearshore trip if you would like to keep a big Redfish on the trip.

We provide all the rods and reels, tackle and bait for the trip. Fuel is also included in the price of the trip. We are happy to provide fish cleaning services as well, especially with a generous gratuity of 15-25% for your trip.
