Our guide, Sutton, kept us warm on a chilly Saturday morning while we drove out the the falls. We visited Daniel Ridge Falls, Slick Rock falls, Cradle of Forestry Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and made a brief stop at Looking Glass Falls on our way back. It was a nice light hike out to Daniel Ride Falls. Sutton took some of our group under Slick Rock Falls. Sutton showed us a great time. He grew up in the area and clearly knows and loves the place. I also want to mention that we were originally scheduled for a Friday tour, but part of our party was involved in a minor traffic accident on the way there. The heat blasting behind our legs was a treat when the cold windy draft from the outside rushed through the gaps of the Jeep soft top. We got to roll up the windows to take in the beauty of the forest while riding since the view isn’t blocked yet by the tree canopies this time of year. We stopped on multiple occasions, fairly easy doable hikes up and over fallen trees, stepping over rocks on shallow rushing streams and easy hike inclines to get closer to the waterfalls! Our guide is a walking encyclopedia of nature and history, Graham- you’re the best! I think the Vanderbilt fact tidbits you provided beats the walking tour in the Biltmore Estate! It was cold but they had blankets for the ride in the jeep which was a nice touch. The hike was easy to get to one of the waterfalls. All our Jeeps have been customized for beach driving with a 4-5 inch AEV lift kit, off-set extra wide alloy wheels with 35 inch Kevlar sidewalled tires and upgraded suspension and shocks. This combination provides excellent ride comfort on the beach with the ground clearance and durability needed. Out Jeeps are setup so you can relax and enjoy your ride without the worry of getting stuck on the beach.

Girls Get-Away

We were on a girls trips and wanted a morning hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ivana picked us up at our hotel to start our tour. The best part of the tour was hard to decide between the beautiful scenery and the fantastic guide....so knowledgeable and fun!! Aussie the dog was a bonus!!

My husband and I took the Rainforest of NC tour with Terry as our guide, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We learned a lot about the area and saw stunning scenery. Terry is very knowledgable about both the history of the area and the landscape, including the various types of vegetation. He even recommended a place to eat lunch after our tour, and it was great! This tour was a very pleasant experience - we highly recommend it!

Terry was great. We only had one day to sightsee and knew we needed a guide. Learned a lot about the area and saw some beautiful waterfalls.

We had a great time with Justin. We learned a lot of history and had the opportunity to see beautiful sites. He was accommodating to our last minute time change request as well.

What a wonderful day exploring Highlands area in the Mercedes G Wagon. The Wagon had a great propane heater and blankets to wrap up in but was open so you could enjoy the sights. Justin was our Guide, he customized the adventure as we have hiked in the the area before and wanted to experience something new. Our group loved learning a little bit of history of the area, learning new flora and fauna and even smelled a bear on the trial. We hiked Satulah Mountain. What a surprise to have hot chocolate and s'mores while taking in the gorgeous views. One of the highlights was having Justin's Mountain Guide Dog "Aussie" along for the trip. Definitely would recommend, we will be back in the summer and would like to do the kayaking trip.

We did the PRIVATE TOUR. We highly recommend this tour for couples. The tour is customized tour to your likes. Once you meet up they ask you what are your interests, nature, views, waterfalls, hiking, history, etc. and then they tailor the 2.5 hours to your liking. We sat back let Justin be our expert guide to all things Highlands. Prior to the tour they asked us if we had any food allergies and our favorite wine. It was the perfect day!
