Louisiana's own Lauren Daigle is hitting the road on The Kaleidoscope Tour and she's bringing her show to Bossier City's Brookshire Grocery Arena !

Who is Lauren Daigle?

Lauren Daigle is a 31-year-old international superstar and contemporary Christian artist born in Lake Charles and raised in Lafayette. She's so Louisiana she practically has gumbo running through her veins. Her debut album How Can It Be came out in 2015 and since then Daigle's music has reached ' platinum' status , she's won two Grammy Awards, seven GMA Dove Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, and two American Music Awards. She's also had four number-one singles. Not bad for a girl from the boot!

Lauren announced this morning that she'll be in Bossier City at Brookshire Grocery Arena Thursday, September 7, 2023. There will be a pre-sale for the Bossier City show Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 10 am to 10 pm. The code to purchase pre-sale tickets is 'TGID.' Tickets go on sale to the general public for the Bossier City show Friday, March 31, 2023, at 10 am CST.

Lauren Daigle talks new record, being still and performing in home state of Louisiana

Louisiana native Lauren Daigle is bringing her "Kaleidescope Tour" to the Brookshire Grocery Arena on Thursday, Sept. 7 in support of her 23-track self-titled album that will release on Friday, Sept. 8.

Born and raised in the Lake Charles area, Daigle considers the whole state her home as she spent her childhood traveling all around it visiting different family members. While she always enjoyed singing, Daigle didn't pursue it seriously until she was diagnosed with cytomegalovirus at age 15 which kept her out of school for two years.

Now, she's about to release her fourth full-length record. During her isolation as a teen, singing became her creative outlet and Daigle believes the isolation during the 2020 pandemic is what allowed her to find her voice again.

"I remember just feeling like everything I once believed in was falling apart and really struggled with the animosity at the time," explained Daigle. "I remember thinking I don't know if music is enough, and I don't know if I have anything to say."

Daigle reached out to her friend Jonas Byron for help in getting back into songwriting, took a leap of faith and ended up with 50 songs to choose from. Her new record will have an impressive 23 songs on it after Daigle decided she couldn't cut any more than that from the long list.

"Each one of these songs kind of found me in my journey of being overwhelmed by COVID, being overwhelmed by the times and something happens whenever you have to be still," Daigle said. "Being still forces you to reconcile with things in your life that aren't healthy. So, there was a lot of beauty that came from that time, and I think I walked into the songwriting processes inundated with fear and uncertainty of whether I should keep doing music or not and I left finding my voice again."

Finding her voice for a second time in life is what inspired Daigle to name the record after herself. With feelings similar to those years as an isolated teenager, Daigle was reminded why she wanted to do music through conversations with God.

"I remember sitting there and thinking, okay, remind me of that passion because I don't want to miss out on the beauty of this. I don't want to miss out on the joy of what I'm getting to do, and it was like incredible the joy that I have been able to find, pure joy."

The Kaleidescope Tour isn't just named after a song on the new record, Daigle has a special connection to the toy because her aunt collected them. She describes tours themselves as kaleidoscopes because there are different people in the crowd every night, each city is different.

"I think that's what makes the world just so unique," said Daigle. "Coming into a show and seeing such a diverse array of people and the way they engage with life, it's just so beautiful."

Lauren Daigle Announces Fall 2023 US Dates For The Kaleidoscope Tour

Today, two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning singer-songwriter Lauren Daigle announces her much-anticipated US arena tour, set for fall 2023. The Kaleidoscope Tour kicks off on September 6 in Memphis, TN with entirely new and innovative stage production. The 30-city run will take Daigle across the country – from New Jersey’s Prudential Center (October 20) to LA’s Crypto.com Arena (November 10), with stops in Boston, Atlanta, and Seattle as well as cities in which Daigle hasn’t performed in nearly four years, including Baton Rouge, Baltimore and Tulsa.

The Kaleidoscope Tour will feature many of Daigle’s #1s, including her groundbreaking smash “You Say,” “Rescue,” “Look Up Child,” her new single “Thank God I Do,” as well as music from her forthcoming self-titled album which will include 20 songs released in two parts this spring and later this year.

Get ready, Lauren Daigle fans: The contemporary Christian star is continuing her Kaleidoscope Tour into spring 2024. The tour promotes her new album, titled “Lauren Daigle.”

Daigle, known for hits like “You Say” and “Thank God I Do,” is bringing the tour to The Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Ala., on June 8. Ellie Holcomb will open.

Daigle, a two-time Grammy winning singer and songwriter, began the arena tour in September 2023 and started the 2024 leg in February. The tour is expected to end in June 2024.

Daigle, a native of Lafayette, La., is known for her soulful voice. Her star began to rise with the release of her 2015 album “How Can It Be?” She followed that album with the album “Look Up Child” in 2018. “You Say” is her first crossover hit.
